For managing and analzing effectively diverse and complicated environmental informations, informations should be built systematically, and techniques should be developed. Environmental Information System(EIS) is composed of environmental informations, GIS, and manpower. Recently It is applied to Environmental Impact Assessment and environmental management, etc.. For effective application, EIS techniques will be improved. This article has four components. First, it describes building of environmental information comprising geographic and attribute data using GIS in Chuncheon district. Second, it explains programming for effective information analysis and management using AML(Are Macro Language in ARC INFO). Third, it provides specific functional capabilities including suitability analysis. Based on these analysis, this study makes some examples for systematic analysis and management of environmental information using interactive system.

EIA has been introduced as a tool for environment protection into promulgation of the Environment Preservation Act in 1977, which replaced the Pollution Control Act in Korea. EIA system has been improved with the enlargement of project type, public participation, guideline improvement, and regulatory development. Recently, Environmental Impact Assessment(EIA) Act will have an important role for sustainable development. This article deals with regulatory development, implementation order, EIA project type, and EIS preparation guidelines by Act promulgated and amended, also it explains comparison analysis of Environmental Policy Act and Environment Impact Assessment Act. Major results are summarized in the table.

It has long been known that both heavy(VH) and light chain variable region(VL) of antibody are involved in antigen binding. Recently, reports for anti-DNA Abs such as Z22 and Hed-10 have revealed that VH chain is more important than VL in recoginizing antigen. However, it is not certain yet whether the VH chain alone of these specific anti-DNA antibodies has dominant role or such dominance of VH chain can be applicable to other anti-DNA Abs. To investigate this possibility in connection with the role and contribution of VL chain, experiments were performed using mAb Z44 which binds to Z-DNA but rocognizes different epitopes from Z22 which share 95% sequence homology. The recombinant proteins including Z44VH and Z44VL were produced by E.coli. After purification of the these antibodies, the affinity and specificity of recombinant Ab proteins to DNA antigens were tested. The results were as follows; Z44VH bound most strongly to Z-DNA and bound also to ssDNA, whereas Z44VL did not bind to B-DNA, ssDNA, and Z-DNA. In vitro association of Z44VH with Z44VL has increased the affinity to Z-DNA synergistically compared with Z44VVH alone. In the case of association of Z22VH with Z22VL affinity to Z-DNA has showed synergistic increment compared with Z22VH alone. However, the associations of Z44VH with Z22VL or Z22VH with Z44VL did not show any significant increments of affinity. From our findings that Z44VH alone could bind to Z-DNA or to ssDNA and that Z 44VL could not, it could be concluded that Z44VH has dominant role in recognizing the antigen. In addition, it may be suggested that Z44VL can increase the affinity of Z44VH and play some role in changing the specificity of Z44VH.

Objectives: This study examines the relationships between indoor radon concentrations and distribution from soil geological mapping in the Hwacheon and Jangsu areas. Methods: GIS and a pivot table were used for inquiries about indoor radon contents, soil characteristics, and geological differences. Results: The Hwacheon area was characterized by the presence of normal and reverse faults as a passage of runoff for radon, sufficient occurrences of minerals containing uranium within granite as a radon source, a high concentration of radon within the granite area and clear differences of radon concentrations between granitic and metamorphic areas. The Jangsu area was characterized by the presence of normal faults, wide distributions of alluvium, and ambiguities on radon concentrations indoors among areas of geological differences. Considering the granite area and alluvium surrounded with granite areas, the characteristics of radon concentrations within soils and indoors in the Jangsu area are similar to those of the Hwacheon area. High concentrations are found with entisol and inceptisol in the Hawcheon area, but with entisol, inceptisol, and ultisol in the Jangsu area. High radon concentrations are found in sandy loam and/or loam. High concentrations are found in recently constructed or brick buildings, but low concentrations in traditional or prefabricated houses showing a high possibility of outward flow. Conclusions: The overall results suggest that radon concentrations in the Hwacheon and Jangsu area are dominantly influenced by geological characteristics with additional artificial influences.

The purpose of the study was to make an improvement of residential management regulations so that the inhabitants of rental housing can manage their housing in efficient and transparent manners by comparing and analyzing in standard management rules of rental housing. The research method were as follows: 1) The analysis framework utilized result of preceding research composed 6 types of management works and 36 items of subcategories by researcher 2) The standard management rules of rental housing used analysis utilized to draw up after a revision of Rental Housing Act in 2000 and to operate in management of rental housing now. 3) The analysis method used content analysis. The management rules of rental housing utilized a total of 5 rules such as management rules of SH corporation (2011), LH corporation (2000), peoples' solidarity for participatory democracy (2000), Citizens' Alliance (2000) and Gyeonggi-do (2001). The research result were as follows: 1) Overall, the management rules of rental housing included faithfully works of operation management and administration management 2) The type of operation management regulated centrally items related resident committee. and The type of administration management regulated centrally items related accounting management. 3) The management rules of SH corporation and LH corporation regulated centrally operation management, maintenance management and etiquette for the basic living as compared with the other rules.
