Toxicity of antioxidative extract collected from Styela clava tunics in ICR mice

Some polymers and bioactive compounds derived from Styela clava tunic (SCT) have been reported as traditional medicine for the treatment of inflammation, oxidative stress and surgical wounds although there is little scientific evidence of their liver and kidney toxicity. To investigate the toxicity of ethanol extracts of SCT (EtSCT) in the liver and kidney of ICR mice, alterations in related markers including body weight, organ weight, urine composition, liver pathology and kidney pathology were analyzed following oral administration of 50 and 100 mg/kg body weight/day of EtSCT for 14 days. EtSCT showed a high level of free radical scavenging activity for DPPH (93.1%) and NO (16.2%) as well as the presence of 14.8 mg/ mL of flavonoids and 36.2 mg/mL of phenolics, while EtSCT treated groups did not show any significant alterations in the body and organ weight, clinical phenotypes, urine parameters or mice mortality when compared with the vehicle treated group. In addition, constant levels of serum biochemical markers including alanine phosphatase (ALP), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and serum creatinine (CRE) were maintained. Moreover, no specific histopathological features induced by most toxic compounds were observed in liver and kidney sections stained with hematoxilin and eosin. Therefore, the present results indicate that EtSCT with strong antioxidant activity cannot induce any specific toxicity in liver and kidney organs of ICR at doses of 100 mg/kg body weight/day.
EXISTENCE OF MULTIPLE POSITIVE SOLUTIONS FOR A SCHRO ̈DINGER-TYPE SINGULAR FALLING ZERO PROBLEM

Extending \cite{K23}, we establish the existence of multiple positive solutions for a Schr\"odinger-type singular elliptic equation:$$\left\{\begin{array}{rlll}-\Delta u +V(x) u&=&\lambda \frac{ f(u)}{u^\beta}, & x \in\Omega,\\u &=&0, & x \in \partial\Omega,\end{array}\right. $$where $0 \in \Omega$ is a bounded domain in $ \mathbb{R}^N, N\geq 1,$ with a smooth boundary $\partial\Omega,$ $\beta \in [0,1),$$f \in C[0,\infty)$, $V:\Omega \rightarrow \mathbb{R} $ is a bounded function and$\lambda$ is a positive parameter. In particular, when $f (s) >0 $ on $[0, \sigma) $ and $f(s) <0$ for $s > \sigma,$ we establish the existence of at least three positive solutions for a certain range of $\lambda$ byusing the method of sub and supersolutions.
유아의 실외 집단놀이 규칙 만들기에 대한 문화기술적 연구: 생태유아교육기관을 중심으로

The purpose of this study was to examine the collaborative process of making group play rules outdoors among young children by applying an ethnographic approach. The subjects in this study were young children at three different eco-early childhood education institutions that offered a lot of outdoor activities. As a result of investigating how they formulated rules about group play outdoors, the group play rules laid down by the children were found to be largely about the object of play, play method and whom to play with. The object of play was determined by rediscovering something in daily routine life or through the imaginary expression. As for deciding upon the play method, all the young children decided how to change a particular type of play in collaboration, and there had to be a consensus about the fairness of the rules. Moreover, the rules had to be simple and clear. In terms of whom to play with, those who took the initiative earlier than the others had absolute power. On one hand, the absolute power was exercised in a flexible manner according to joint strategies, and on the other, solidarity was one of the characteristics of power, in that the other children sympathized with the child who had the power. 본 연구의 목적은 유아들이 실외 놀이의 규칙을 자발적으로 설정해가는 과정을 알아본 것으로 문화기술적 연구방법에 따라 실외활동을 많이 하는 3곳의 생태유아교육기관의 유아들을 대상으로 매주 1회 한 학급씩 하루일과 중 실외에서 이루어지는 활동을 관찰하였다. 연구 결과 실외에서 이루어지는 놀이의 규칙은 크게 놀이 대상물, 놀이방법, 공동놀이자에 대한 것이었으며 놀이 대상물에 대한 규칙은 일상에서의 물리적 대상물을 재발견하거나, 놀이 대상물에 대한 상상적 표현이 이루어졌다. 놀이방법을 정하는 과정은 변형과정에 대한 동등한 참여에 의해, 규칙의 공정성에 대한 합의에 의해, 그리고 규칙의 간결성을 확보하는 과정으로 이루어졌다. 공동놀이자에 대한 규칙을 정할 때 놀이 선점자가 절대적 권력을 갖는 것으로 나타났는데, 이러한 절대적 권력은 또래의 적절한 가입전략에 따라 융통성을 보이면서도 절대적 규칙이 고수되는 경직성을 함께 보였다. 이러한 결과에 기초하여 그 교육적 시사점을 논의하였다.

We establish the extension of Quadrature method introduced in \cite{L70}. Using this extension, we provide numerical results for models with a typical function of $f$ and $C$ in a thermal explosion theory, which verify the existence, uniqueness and multiplicity results proved in \cite{GKS14}.

In particular, when $f$ is sublinear at infinitywe discuss the existence of at least three positive solutions for a certain range of $\lambda$. The proofs are mainly based on the sub- and supersolution method.

Background: This study was to investigate the relationship between scapular downward rotation ratio (SDRR), lower trapezius (LT) muscle, and rounded shoulder angle (RSA) on each side in subjects with scapular downward rotation syndrome (SDRS). Design: Cross-sectional Study Methods: Fifteen subjects have participated in this study. The RSA and SDRR were assessed using a tape measure in standing posture. The RSA was computed by the angle made by two lines: one was the distance between the root of the scapula and the acromion, and the other was the distance between the acromion and the horizontal line in the root of the scapula. The SDRR was computed by two horizontal lines: one was the distance between the mid-line and root of the scapula, and the other was the distance between the mid-line and inferior angle of the scapula. LT muscle strength was performed in a prone position by the hand-held dynamometer. Results: There was a positive correlation between SDRR and LT strength in the less affected sides (r=.59; p=.02), however, there was no correlation between RSA and LT strength in the more affected sides (p>.05).

AVTE(Air Vehicle Test Equipment) is a device to check status of on-board aircraft equipment before and after flight for performing successful UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) missions. This paper describes software design and test sequence of the AVTE for enabling easy-manual check by the operator and convenient automatic check of on-board electric equipment respectively. The proposed AVTE inspects BIT(Built-In Test) results of on-board LRUs(Line Replacement Units) including avionics and sensor sub-system devices. Also, it monitors all the LRU status and check the normality of aircraft equipment by means of setting specific values of the LRUs and confirming the expected test results. The AVTE prints the test results as a form of report to easily check the normal conditions of the aircraft equipment and operates automatically without operator interaction, thus being thought to effectively reduce workload of the operator.
數學科 敎育課程의 連繫性에 關한 硏究 : 國民學校와 中學校 敎科書 內容을 中心으로

The characteristics of mathematics lay stress on sequence of study, are cleared to relation of ranks. It is more logical and systematic than any other subjects. So, organization about curriculum in mathematics have to define and maintain its articulation. namely, continuity, sequence, integration. Therefore, objects of this investigations consider that how maintain the articulation of curriculum related in each ranges which are whole and each academic education process in curriculum of mathematics for elementary school and middle school. Accordingly, I arranged a basis of curriculum as follows. ① Don`t the curriculum have duplication in mathematics education process of elementary school and middle school? If they have, how exent? ② Don`t the curriculum have inclined? If they have, how exent? According to these, mathematics curriculum of elementary school is composed of formation of spiral education process. So, mathematics education is repeated continually by teaching. I concluded that mathematics curriculum in the middle school is necessary to the stage of education process which is selected by gradational curriculum except for range of spiral formations.
