주물고사 첨가 아스팔트 콘크리트의 특성에 관한 연구

본 연구는 주물고사를 이용한 아스팔트 콘크리트와 주물고사의 물리적 화학적 특성을 비교 분석하는 것이다. 주물고사의 아스팔트 콘크리트 적용성을 평가하기 위하여 XRF, SEM, 제타전위를 측정하여 주물고사의 물리 화학적 특성을 알아보았다. 주물고사 아스팔트 콘크리트의 박리저항성을 향상시키기 위하여 박리방지제(소석회(Hydrated lime), 액상박리방지제)를 사용하였다. 그리고 주물고사 아스팔트 콘크리트 혼합물의 인장특성과 내구성 향상을 위하여 LDPE를 사용하였다. 또한 주물고사 아스팔트 콘크리트의 공용성을 알아보기 위하여 간접인장강도, 수분취약성시험, 동결 융해시험, 반복주행시험을 수행하였다. 시험결과 주물고사 아스팔트 콘크리트의 역학적 특성이 일반 아스팔트 콘크리트에 비해 같거나 향상되는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 주물고사를 아스팔트 콘크리트에 재활용할 수 있다는 결론을 얻었다. This study was performed to evaluate the characteristics of waste foundry sand (WFS) and the asphalt mixture made of a foundry waste sand. To estimate the applicability of WFS, chemical and physical properties were measured by XRF(X-ray fluorescent), and SEM(Scanning electronic microfilm). To improve the stripping resistance of WFS asphalt mixture, anti-stripping agents (a hydrated lime and a liquid anti-stripping agent) were used. To improve tensile properties and durability of WFS asphalt concrete mixture, LDPE(low-density polyethylene) was used as an asphalt modifier Marshall mix design, indirect tensile strength, tensile strength ratio(TSR) after freezing and thawing, moisture susceptibility and wheel tracking tests were carried out to evaluate performance of WFS asphalt concrete. Comparing with conventional asphalt concrete, WFS asphalt concretes showed similar or the better qualify in mechanical properties, and satisfied all specification limits. Therefore, it Is concluded that waste foundry sand can be recycled as an asphalt pavement material.

N/A Membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis (MPGN) with dense intramembranous deposits, so-called type II MPGN, is a subtype of idiopathic MPGN, and was described as a separate entity by Berger and Galle in 1963. It frequently occurs in older children and young adults and the clinical course is variable, but is generally progressive. The presenting feature is nephrotic syndrome in many patients, and proteinuria and hematuria are also seen frequently. Recently we experienced a case of type II MPGN which was proven by renal biopsy. A 14-year-old school boy was admitted to this hospital because of generatlized edema and hematuria which developed three weeks after an upper respiratory infection. The histopathologic findings showed a thickened capillary basement membrane with a tram-track appearance and epithelial crescent formation on light microscopy, and a characteristic rihbon-like appearance of the glomerular basement membrame with electron-dense deposits on electron microscopy. The patient received triple drug therapy including corticosteroid, dipyridamole and cyclophosphamide without improvement.

농업용 폐비닐로 개질한 아스팔트 콘크리트의 배합설계

This study is basic research to improve quality of asphalt concrete mixture, to preserve environment, and to recycle waste vinyl. The mixing method and proper content of waste vinyl were determined through preliminary mix design. This study performed mix designs using 2 type gradations of aggregate in addition content of waste vinyl. Marshall stability at optimum asphalt content of asphalt concrete mixture adding waste vinyl was satisfied with the specification of the Ministry of Construction and Transportation, and its values indicated that dense grade asphalt concrete mixture containing waste vinyl were higher than common dense grade mixture (control). From this study, it was confirmed that addition of waste vinyl improved quality of asphalt concrete mixture.

Behcets syndrome is an uncommon entity of unknown etiology characterized by ulcerations of the buccal and genital mucosa, skin lesions, and ocular inflammation. It has been reported to be associated with pathological involvement of every organ system of the body, including the colon (though this is unusual). A fatal outcome due to involvement of gastrointestinal tract has been described by Saugmann Jensen (1944). We have recently seen a 34-year-old man who had had colitis in Behcets syndrome. He had had relapsing genital ulcers, fever, abdominal pain and diarrhea. Gradually diarrhea worsened, there was general deterioration, abdominal pain, weight loss and fever. Colortqfiberscopic finding revealed a large ulcer on the cecum which was suggested as chronic inflammatory ulceration associated with diffuse vasculitis. The patient was treated with the combined antibiotics with corticosteroid but there was no observable response. Right hemicolectomy with ileal resection was performed with transient improvement but the second surgery of enterocutaneous fistula had done a month later. However, he died in cachexia on 45th hospital day.

Since the severity of hyperthyroidism is generally not reflected by the magnitude of elevation of values in thyroid function test, it is potentially useful to have a hyperthyroid symptom scale (HSS) to assess the clinical status and the response to various treatments. To evaluate the changes of symptoms in the management of Graves' disease, thyroid function test including T4RIA, Free T3 and TSH, and hyperthyroid symptom scale were administered to three groups of the patients with untreated Graves' disease (Group I), patients with treated Graves' disease (Group II) and normal subjects (Group III). Hyperthyroid symptom scale is a ten item scale that rates nervousness, diaphoresis, heat tolerance, motor activity, tremor, weakness, hyperdynamic precordium, diarrhea, weight loss and appetite, and overall function. And the intencity of each item can be rated on a subsacle from 0 to 4 points. Except normal control group, all patients had the clinical and chemical evidence of graves' disease and had HSS scores of 17 to 29 points, but in normal controls, 4 to 12 points. Both thyroid function tests and HSS scores were significantly reduced after propylthiouracill and tenormin therapy in the treated Graves' disease group. And in normal controls, HSS scores showed less than those of untreated Graves' disease group. We considered that this scale including ten categories of symptoms is sensitive to changes in both the adrenergic and metabolic components of Graves' disease and it is useful in the clinical assessment and management of patients with Graves' disease. 좌전하행 관동맥의 심근교락 1예

저자들은 전흉통 및 심계항진을 주소로 내원한 60세 여자 환자에서 관동맥 조영술을 실시하여 좌측 관동맥 전하방 분지(Left Anterior Descending Artery)의 중간부위에서 심근수축기 약 90%의 협착을 보이는 "Milking Effect"를 동반하는 심근교락(Myocardial Bridging) 1예를 경험 하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Myocardial bridging is a condition that with abnormal intramyocardial course of coronary artery, the artery can constrict during the systole and may result in myocardial ischemia and symptoms. The incidence of intramyocardial segment of the coronary artery is found in approximately 20% of autopsied hearts and the angiographic evidence is seen in 0.5% of patients undergoing coronary angiography for chest pain. The origin of this arterial anomaly is probably congenital in light of the intramural location of coronary artery during embryonal life. This 60-year-old female patient was admitted to the hospital because of anterior chest pain and palpitation for 2 months. Abnormal electrocardiographic findings (S-T wave depression, inversion of T wave and tachycardia) were shown only when symptoms occured. The coronary angiography showed characteristic systolic constriction of a segment of the left anterior descending artery and constriction disappears during diastole. Here we report one case of myocardial bridging with milking effect in 60-year-old female patient with the review of literatures.

승모판 협착증에 병발한 신동맥 색전증 1 예

Although embolic occlusion of a renal artery is not rare, correct diagnosis and appropriate treatment are often delayed. We recently experienced in a case of renal artery embolism associated with mitral stenosis 45-year-old male, who suffered from a sudden onset of severe intractable abdominal pain. Analgesics a and sedatives did not alleviate the pain. Pertinent but non-specific laboratory findings disclosed leukocytosis, proteinuria and an increased serum lactic dehydrogenase level. A renal scan showed delayed excretion of the right kidney and a renal arteriogram disclosed abrupt cutting of the segmental artery of the right kidney associated with a filling defect in the delayed phase. He discharged from the hospital against advice for further evaluation and observation of his condition.
