최근 국내외에서 지하철 공사현장 가스폭발, 지하 공동구 화재, 지하가 화재 폭발 등 지하공간에서의 사고가 다수 발생하고 있다. 이러한 사고는 재산의 손실 뿐 아니라 전력, 통신망 마비로 도시기능을 무력화시키고, 인명 피해의 대형화를 동반함으로서 도시민의 안전을 위협하고 있다. 따라서 지하공간 중 지하가의 사고 사례와 문헌 연구 및 실태를 조사, 검토하고, 운영 관리 단계에서 위험 요인을 도출하여 안전대책의 평가요소 및 화재예방평가 시스템을 제시하고자 한다. A large number of accidents at an underground place have been happening, including the gas explosion under construction of subway, the fires of underground utility and underground shopping malls, and other explosion, at home and abroad recently. These accidents make the function of a city ineffective due to the paralyses of electricity and communications net as well as the loss of property, and cause people to feel unsecured with accompaniment of a heavy of toll of lives. This study suggests safety assessment items and fire protection assessment technique for underground shopping malls by extracting dangerous elements in the management stage through examination of related accidents, documents and present conditions.

There are insufficient models that find problems and solutions for accident prevention through risk assessment and suggest safe work process and work instruction from foundation works to finish work for accident decrease. This paper presents a quantitative risk assessment model by analysis of risk factors in each process such as foundation, erection, pier, pier upper and etc based on accident examples and investigation on actual condition in bridges construction work. In addition, the safety management system was developed to perform risk assessment of construction and use it for effective safety training for labor.

경량골재 로타리킬른의 운전최적화를 위한 석탄요소 및 원료입자 승온특성 해석

Bottom ash from a coal-fired power plant is usually landfilled to a nearby site, which causes a growing environmental concern and increased operating costs. One way of recycling the bottom ash is to produce light weight aggregate (LWA) using a rotary kiln. This study investigated the temperature profiles of raw LWA particles in a rotary kiln to identify the range of operating conditions appropriate for ideal bloating. For this purpose, a new simulation method was developed to integrate a 1-dimensional model for the bed of LWA particles and the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for the fuel combustion and gas flow. The temperature of LWA particles was found very sensitive to the changes in the air preheating temperature and excess air ratio. Therefore, an accurate control of the operation parameters was essential to achieve the bloating of LWA particles without excessive sintering or melting.

A total stroke of an opening or closing motion of a hinge mechanism in a folder-type mobile phone is composed of two portions. In the first portion, human fingers act a force to open or close the folder. In this portion, the rotating folder compresses the coil spring installed in the mechanism. In the last portion, this compressed coil spring generates a torque to rotate the folder. The main merit of this study is that we have designed a hinge mechanism to be operated by a uniform torque in the first portion of the total stroke. The uniform torque means that it is constant along the folder's swing angle. This mechanism will give softer feeling to human fingers. A pair of contours in the mechanism plays an important role. It transforms rotation into translation in the first portion; on the other hand, it transforms translation into rotation in the last portion. In this study, we have developed an algorithm to obtain the pair of contour curves. We divided the total contour curves into finite sub-intervals. Assuming that the curves in every sub-interval are parabolas, we have obtained the coefficients of them by solving systems of nonlinear equations recursively.
