Development of Desk for Public Reading in Library

Through this study, I developed a new-styled desk for public reading in library in consideration of the characteristics of the company "KIFURS Co., Ltd." established and branded by a part of the members of the association 'Gyeonggi-Incheon Furniture Industry Cooperative', in the background of growing library-furniture market situation according to the government policy and the related participations of competitive companies. The differentially designed product was herein presented by introducing the function of office furniture and related material, by giving the existing product some improvements on the basis of the domestic and international data searching. The characteristic of the developed product is that the basic structure of the desk for public reading is easy to assemble & disassemble and also variable to be extended & modified. This basic structure is available to be mass production and to be pricewise through using aluminum. Furthermore it can be used as other library-furniture and office furniture, too. Also the luxury image was pursued by modern shape and different material, unlike the existing library-furniture.

To investigate the structure-antagonistic relationship of the cyclohexapeptide L-659,877, a selective NK-2 tachykinin receptor antagonist, seven analogues were chemically synthesized by a solid phase method. The agonistic and antagonistic activities of the analogues were evaluated by contraction assay using the smooth muscle of guinea pig trachea (GPT) containing the NK-2 receptor. It was shown that the aromatic ring of Phe at position 3 and the sulfur group of Met at position 6 in L-659,877 were essential for binding to the NK-2 receptor. Decrease in antagonistic activity of L-659,877 caused by substituting Leu for Nle at position 5 indicates that the γ methyl group and side chain length of Leu plays an important role in its antagonistic action. Although the activity was slightly lower than L-659,877, cyclo [βAla^8]NKA(4-10) (analogue 1) showed potential antagonistic activity for the NK-2 receptor. It was confirmed that the expansion of the ring in L-659,877 by substitution of βAla for Gly at position 4 stabilized its conformation monitored by CD spectra. The results suggest that analogue 1 can be used as a new leader compound to design a more powerful, selective, and stable NK-2 receptor antagonist.

비 혼합 2유체 열사이폰의 유동 특성에 관한 가시적 연구

본 연구에서는 물과 비 혼합 비 공비 물질을 작동 유체로 사용하는 가시화 실험 장치를 제작하여 열유속을 증가시키 며 시간에 따른 벽면온도 특성과 내부 유동를 카메라로 연속 촬영하며 2유체 열사이폰의 내부의 유동 및 열전달 특성에 대하 여 가시적 방법으로 실험을 수행하여 실험 결과로부터 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 물과 FC40을 사용한 비 혼합 2유체 열사이폰은 열유속의 크기에 따라 자연대류, 펄스비등, 연속비등의 세가지 영역으로 구분 되었으며 비등은 증기압이 낮은 물에서 발생하였다. 자연대류에서는 액체 풀에서 물의 증발과 대류 액막 유동이 발생하였다. 액체 풀에서 비등이 발생할 때에는 강한 비등에 의하여 FC40과 물의 혼합된 상태로 전 영역에 걸쳐 기-액 이상 유동이 발생하였다. This study presents experiments to visualize the internal flow and heat transfer characteristics of thermosyphon with immiscible of water-FC40 adopted as binary working fluid. Three different regimes depending on the amount of heat flux applied to the thermosyphon were observed: natural convection, pulse boiling, and continuous boiling. Boiling incipience took place in water, which has lower vapor pressure than FC40. During natural convection water was vaporized in liquid pool while liquid film flows were formed. On the other hand, meanwhile bubbles were generated in the liquid pool during pulse and continuous boiling, the binary working fluid of water-FC40 was observed as the mixture throughout a whole range of the thermosyphon.

자궁내막증식증에서 한약 치료의 효과에 대한 체계적 문헌 고찰 및 메타분석 - 중국 임상 연구를 중심으로

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of herbal medicine that are used for endometrial hyperplasia. Methods: We searched on three databases [PubMed, China national knowledge infrastructure (CNKI), and Oriental medicine advanced searching integrated system (OASIS)] with keywords for Endometrial hyperplasia(English, Korean, and Chinese) and evaluated the risk of bias. Meta-analysis was performed on the selected studies. Results: 15 RCTs were finally selected. According to the analysis, Most of the participants were endometrial hyperplasia without atypia. And the combined therapeutic effects of hormonal medicine and herbal medicine were statistically significant (RR 1.21 [95% CI 1.15, 1.28], P<0.00001), The endometrial thickness tended to be thinner when treated combined therapy. And they also showed improvement on levels of pictorial blood assessment chart (PBAC) and hemoglobin. Also, the therapeutic effects of herbal medicine can be identified as similar to Western medicine, and no superior effects have been confirmed (RR 1.05 [95% CI 0.87, 1.28], P=0.60). Conclusion: The combination Western and herbal medicine was more effective than Western medicine alone treated for endometrial hyperplasia without atypia. Moreover there were also significant improvements in endometrial thickness, PBAC and hemoglobin levels.

Ovarian remnant syndrome is a rare condition which develops when functional ovarian tissue is left in situ after intended bilateral oophorectomy. It produces clinically significant syndrome, namely chronic pelvic pain and dysmenorrhea. Although the true incidence of this syndrome is unknown, an apprant increase in incidence has been reported. We have experienced a case of ovarian remnant syndrome showing chronic pelvic pain and palpable abdominal mass after difficult gynecologic operation. So, we report this case with a brief review of literatures.
