This thesis has surveyed the relations between specific pastoral perceptions of three poets-Kim Dong Myung, Kim Sag Yong, Sin Suck Jung-on the basis of the norm of their poetic diction analysis diagram from their anthologies: Banana-Plant of Kim Dong Myung, Yearning for Home-Village of Kim Sang Yong, Candle-Light of Sin Suck Jung, who had shown distinctive features in comparison with other poets of Korean Pastoral Poetry Group in 1930s. The summary of what I have discussed above is as follows: First, the eatablished causes of the Pastoral Poetry Group are 1. This group stemmed from their escape from the current situation in 1930s when Japanese governing suppression was in peak. 2. This group was established as a reaction against the Proletarian Literature of political trend. It took the influence from Kim Young Rang. 3. It is notable that the three poets all had commonly spent their early days in rural districts which are greatly connected with pastoralism. In other words, the engraved images of their early days are likely to help them choose pastoral trend. 4. All of men would like to return to the Nature. They are always bound to find dissatisfaction in their present reality. This group seems to come from the cultural primitivism of hoping to live a pastoral life. Second, the characteristics of the Pastoral Poetry Group's Poetry are: 1. In comparison between pure pastoral poetic dictions, dolor-words of Pastoral Poetry Group's Anthology and the anthology Wa-Sa-Dung, the former anthology turns out to have brightness, while the latter anthology to have darkness. This nature seems to result from the escape from current reality, and the personality of the Pastoral Poets; and from the insight into current situation, and critical personality of Kim Kwang Gyun. 2. Kim Dong Myung made use of many personal pronouns for the symbolic expression. His pastoral view was to see the sea on the garden. Pronoun 'you' is frequently used as symbol of mother land, and the use of many evocative exclamation words is made. 3. The pastoral main image of Kim Sang Young is 'South'. He uses many end rhymes, and his poetry has meditative melancholy sentiment. His atheism seems to come from his own self-confidence. He does not use color words. The titles and contents of his poems are simple for the sake of poetic tension. 4. Sin Suck Jung among three poets makes the most use of pastoral poetic dictions. It is perhaps because he had lived his life time mainly in Chung-Gu-Won Garden, his home-town. We can know that the spirit of yearning for Mother results from death of his warm hearted mother. He makes remarkable use of honorifics, figurative questions, and wrote poems similar to prose. The use of many color words, technique of word-space-widening, and mimesis are used-this shows the trend of modernism.
