        Next generation wireless networks are expected to support multi-rate multimedia services including wideband services and to have smaller cell structures like micro/pico cells. Smaller cells increase the handoff traffics drastically and wideband services cause severe network fluctuations with their frequent handoffs. As a result, it is a challenge to provide stable QoS in the wireless networks. In addition, some wideband services suffer from poor QoS under the congestion, where wideband services have less chances to get enough resources compare to narrowband services. In this paper, we introduce a region, a logical cell, defined as minimal set of cells, which enables stable call control in the wireless traffic conditions. Then, we propose two-level Call Admission Control(CAC) mechanism, in which CAC is performed in a region as well as in a cell. The differentiated resource management method is also used so as to guarantee service fairness and QoS for the hetergogeneous multimedia services. The simulation results show that the proposed CAC mechanism not only guarantees the QoS at any traffic conditions but also improves the QoS. As well, the CAC achieves the service fairness by reducing the QoS differences among the services.

        Ludwig van Beethoven (1770~1827), born in the age of Classicism, is a composer who is widely recognized for accomplishment in Classicism style, as well as a leader in the Romantic music. He bequeathed a great many of works including nine symphonies, Piano sonata, over 100 instrumental music, opera ‘Fidelio’ and over 60 lieder. His gesangs vary from the earlier simple ballad style to the latter elevated artistry through the melody and accompaniment closely adhered to the poetic diction. 〈An die ferne Geliebte〉 op. 98 is a piece which was composed in the latter of Beethoven’s life and is significant in the music history as it is the first song cycle ever.In this work, the harmony of phrase and melody of poet is beautiful, and each piece is connected closely to each other, and instrumental music style was introduced in a vocal music, which brought a good reaction in those days with its creative and unique music style. He set a poem of Alois isider Jeitteles, a doctor and poet to music that was composed in Wien in 1816, and inscribed to a his sponsor, Lobkowitz. The full-length consists of sixpieces in total, and its play time is around 13 to 15 minutes. The import is the sentimental feelings yearning toward the lover who is far away. The first piece takes the modified strophic style, and has a link with the 6th piece with a similar style. Although the 2nd piece and 5th piece have a different key, but they have a mutual link since they have the same ternary form. The 3rd piece and 4th piece that are putin one poem not only have not only the same strophic style but also the same composition. The vocal melody has a few variations and is repetitive, which shows unique melodies in each piece as well as various rhythms and harmony as the variation style. Also, the words of the song are harmoniously consistent with the musical elements such as melody, harmony, and rhythm. From this point of view, in that 〈An die ferne Geliebte〉 op.98 is the first work that has the song cycle style and a poem is well harmonized with music, we can understand not only as a steppingstone of the Artistic lied of the Romantic Age, but also the lieder of Beethoven’s takes an important role in the lieder history.

      • 인버터 응용을 위한 새로운 트랜스포머 구조

        기존 인버터 트랜스포머는 명확한 설계 기준 없이 설계되어 트랜스포머 설계시, 많은 시행착오와 소요 시간을 수반했다. 본 논문에서는 인버터 트랜스포머 개발 시 개발 기간 단축 및 개발 재료비를 절감할 수 있고, 시장 요구에 신속한 대응이 가능한 인버터 트랜스포머의 설계 기준을 제안한다. 또한 기존 인버터 트랜스포머의 분석을 통하여 새로운 구조의 트랜스포머 형상을 제안한다. 제안된 형상의 트랜스포머는 기존 인버터 트랜스포머와 동등한 동작 특성을 갖으며 기존 트랜스포머 방식에 비해 코어의 부피 저감효과를 얻을 수 있어, 인버터에 보드에 제안 트랜스포머를 적용할 경우 원가 저감을 이룰 수 있다. To drive the CCFL in LCD backlight inverter, a new transformer structure with small volume is proposed which have a boosting voltage and a lamp current balancing functions. The proposed transformer structure has been verified through experimental test with 40inch LCD backlight inverter.

      • 계산시간을 줄이기 위한 수정된 ECG R-파 검출 알고리즘

        The QRS complex is the most striking waveform within the electrocardiogram(ECG). Since it reflects the electrical activity within the heart during the ventricular contraction, the time of its occurrence as well as its shape provide much information about the current state of the heart. Due to its characteristic shape the QRS complex serves as the basis for the automated determination of the heart rate, as an entry point for classification schemes of the cardiac cycle, and often it is also used in ECG data compression algorithms. In that sense, QRS detection provides the fundamentals for almost all automated ECG analysis algorithms. Benitez et al. proposed an algorithm for QRS detection using first differential of the ECG signal and its Hilbert transformed data to locate the R wave peaks in the ECG waveform. But Hilbert transform uses Fourier transform and inverse Fourier transform, requiring much time for calculation. So we propose a modified algorithm. The proposed algorithm omits Hilbert transform and modifies the threshold determination step and the peak detecting method. The performance of the proposed algorithm is tested using standard ECG waveform records from the MIT-BIH Arrhythmia database. An average sensitivity (Se) of 99.04%, a positive prediction (+P) of 99.76% and a computation time of 9.03 sec have been achieved against study records from the MIT-BIH Arrhythmia database. Although the modified algorithm has a relative low peak detecting performance as compared with the algorithm based on Hilbert transform, it shows a shorter computation time.

      • 첫 흡연시기와 치주낭 형성의 관계

        연구목적 : 청소년기의 흡연의 유해성을 인식하고 금연동기를 부여함에 있어 필요한 자료를 제공하기 위하여 수행되었다. 연구방법 : 본 연구는 2010년 및 2012년 국민건강영양조사 결과를 활용하여 우리나라 20세 이상 성인에서 첫 흡연시기가 치주질환 발생에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 연구성적 : 1. 조사 대상자의 인구사회학적 특성에 따른 첫 흡연시기는 거주지역, 성별, 연령, 학력, 소득수준에 따라 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 치주낭 형성 유무는 거주지역, 성별, 연령, 학력에 따라 통계적인 차이가 있었다. 2. 조사 대상자의 건강상태에 따른 첫 흡연시기는 고혈압, 알코올장애 정도에 따라서 유의한 차이를 보였다. 그러나 당뇨병은 통계적인 차이가 없었다. 치주낭 형성 유무는 당뇨병, 고혈압, 알코올장애 정도에 따라서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 나타냈다. 3. 흡연 행태에 따른 치주낭 형성 유무는 흡연량에 따른 차이가 있었을 뿐 흡연기간과 첫 흡연시기에 따른 차이는 없었다. 4. 읍면지역 거주자이며, 남성이고, 연령이 많고, 우식영구치가 있는 사람일 경우 치주낭 형성 위험이 높았다. 결론 : 첫 흡연시기가 치주낭 형성유무에 영향을 미치지 않았지만 첫 흡연시기가 구강위생과 흡연행태 등에 영향을 미쳐서 간접적으로 치주낭 형성에 영향을 미칠 가능성을 배제할 수 없다고 추정되었다. Keywords : the start time for smoking, the frequency of smoking, the duration of smoking, periodontal pocket, periodontal diseases. Objective : The purpose of this study was to provide useful information on the harmfulness of smoking in adolescence and how to motivate adolescents to stay away from smoking. Method : The 2010 and 2012 National Health & Nutrition Examination Survey data were used to analyze the impact of the time for starting smoking on the occurrence of periodontal diseases in adults aged 20 and up in Korea. Results : 1. As for the start time for smoking by sociodemographic characteristics, there were significant differences in that regard according to residential area, gender, age, academic credential and income. Concerning the formation of periodontal pocket by sociodemographic characteristics, there were significant differences according to residential area, gender, age and academic credential. 2. In relation to the time for starting smoking by health status, there were significant differences according to hypertension and alcohol disorder. But diabetes showed no statistically significant differences to that. Regarding the formation of periodontal pocket by health status, statistically significant differences were found according to the severity of diabetes, hypertension and alcohol disorder. 3. As to the formation of periodontal pocket by smoking, only the frequency of smoking showed differences to that, and no differences were found according to the duration of smoking and the start time for smoking. 4. The respondents who were rural residents, who were male, who were older and who had more dental caries have the higher risk of periodontal pocket formation. Conclusion : The start time for smoking didn't affect the formation of periodontal pocket, but this finding didn't seem to suggest there would be no possibility that it might exercise a secondhand influence on the formation of periodontal pocket by impacting on oral hygiene and smoking behavior.

      • Design of dual ionic pH-sensitive copolymer and its application for protein delivery

        In this study, a dual Ionic pH-sensitive copolymer poly(urethane amino sulfamethazine)-based random copolymer (PUASM) was designed and synthesized for controlled release of Lysozyme in vitro. The PUASM was prepared by the polyaddition of the hydroxyl groups at the end of Poly(ethylene glycol) and synthesized DHASM (dihydroxyl sulfamethazine) and the isocyanate groups of 1,6-diisocyanato hexamethylene. The formed polymer was characterized by 1H NMR and Gel Permeation Chromatography. PUASM shows dual ionic pH-sensitive property in aqueous solution. The pH of PUASM micelle-demicellization is around 5.5~8.0. The loading and release of PUASM with Lysozyme in vitro was investigated. At pH 8.5, it shows negative charge and soluble in water, and Lysozyme is also soluble but positive charged . When decrease pH to 7.4, PUASM can form micelle with loading lysozyme inside via the ionic interaction between negative polymer and positive protein. At pH 5.5, there is demicellization of polymeric micelle. The polymer molecules changed to positive charge and release the Lysozyme at that pH in vitro.         The purpose of this study was to present the change of labour-management relationship in Korea press. And by looking into history of Korean press labor movement and surveying consciousness prevailing among the members of press unions, this study trys to suggest the characteristics of press labor movement in Korea. Generally speaking, unions are organized to improve working conditions, to raise wages, to protect workers' rights and interests and extraordinarily to do political struggle to realize their objectives. The press unions engage in labor movements with these purposes, but additionally have some particular mission unlike unions of other enterprises. The large mass media business owners in capitalist society are pursuing private profit and disseminating ruling ideology to the mass, but the members of press unions, who are holding fast to a basic attitude of criticizing function of the press, stands up against media capitalist and ruling class. The media workers are different from those of other industries. They refuse to disseminate ruling ideology and demand editorial independence fair news coverage, So the members of the press union are assigned to not only realizing their rights and interests as workers but also fulfilling press freedom. Korean press unions succeeding to the spirit of free press movement make all efforts for the press freedom getting out of the domination of power and capital. Korean press labor movement is more attentive to realize press freedom than to raise their wages or improve their working conditions, in specific situation of governmental control to the press.

      • 경계적분법을 이용한 등간격 지수함수 테이퍼를 갖는 광대역 마이크로스트립 로트만렌즈의 해석 및 설계

        This paper presents analysis and design of microstrip Rotman lens operating over wide band width and wide steering angle by the contour integral method along with the segmentation method. All mutual couplings, internal reflections between ports and the discontinuity at every junction including dielectric loss and conductor loss are taken into account. Effective and accurate analysis method is proposed for wideband microstrip lens design with exponential tapers which is written using MATLAB. Equally spaced ports are located along the loci of beam curve and array curve, which contribute to uniform amplitude distribution over all the array ports. Impedance matching and mutual coupling are analyzed and optimized to apply 12 input and 12 output exponential tapers. Linear array antenna model is proposed to analyze mutual couping between the ports using the active reflection coefficients. Optimized values for port spacing and taper length are extracted and applied as lens design variables. For wideband applications exponential tapers and short taper length are preferred to lens design. The measured results show less than 2.54 dB transmission loss deviation over 3:1 frequency range of 6 to 18 GHz and beam steering accuracy less than 1˚ over ±53˚ angle. Less than 39.2˚ is observed for equi-phase front deviation and it agrees well with the analysis results.
