        아파트 실내정원의 겨울철 실내환경 조절효과

        The purpose of this study is to make clear the indoor environmental effects of indoor garden in apartment houses during winter season. The questionnaire survey for residents' subjective responses on indoor environment and satisfaction was carried out during the 10th~20th of February 2004. Respondents consisted of 215 residents living in a subject apartment complex. The field measurements of indoor thermal elements were made at A house having indoor garden and at B house not having indoor garden. The measurements in two-subject houses were taken simultaneously on the 11th of February. As results, the residents living in apartment having indoor garden show positive responses on air moisture, air freshness and satisfaction. The daily ranges of indoor temperature and globe temperature in the A house were narrower than the B house. The average relative humidity in the A house was higher(more comfortable) and more constant than the B house. Therefore, it seemed that indoor environment in the house having indoor garden was maintained more constant or comfortable during winter season than the house not having indoor garden by earning effect and humidity control effect of plants.

        Analysis on Indoor Garden Technology Trends Based on Patent Search

        Indoor gardens tailored to suit individual tastes offer a place to enjoy plants and to relax to city dwellers to relieve stress from city life. However, there are technical issues to build such indoor gardens. To offer solutions to technical issues, this study aims to analyze development phases of indoor garden-related technologies by studying available patents in detail. Also, the study aims to understand current status and future direction of technologies by examining technological trends for introduction of indoor gardens. Brainstorming method was used to understand technology trends and as a result, two groups were identified for technical features of indoor gardens: indoor greening technology and rest area for users. An analysis on selected patents showed that the number of patents increased until 2010 and declined gradually afterwards. Korea ranked the highest in the number of patents grant followed by USA, Japan and Europe. Similar order was observed with the number of patents granted by nationality of applicants. The number of patents granted by nationality was the highest for Korean nationals. For indoor greening technologies, patents related to structure from 2007 were mostly concentrated in the areas of irrigation control and environment control for plants and vegetation. For rest area related technologies, patent related to structure showed a repetitive pattern of increasing and decreasing, but overall, on downtrend. For further development and dissemination of indoor gardening technology, more R&D work is needed with focus on environmental control technology for designing suitable environment for both human and plant.

        실내거주자 건강 관리를 위한 IoT기반 실내정원용 IAQ지수 개발

        Objectives: In this study, we started to develop an indoor garden integrated IoT solution based on IAQ (indoor air quality) and interconnection with an environmental database for smart management of indoor gardens. The purpose of this study was to develop and apply an integrated solution for customized air purification from an indoor garden through big data analysis using IoT technology. Methods: An IoT-based IAQ monitoring system was established in three households within a new apartment building. Based on real-time and long-term data collected, PM 2.5 , CO 2 , temperature, and humidity changes were compared to those of indoor garden applications and the analyzed results were indexed. Results As a result of the installation, all three households had no results exceeding the standard for indoor air pollution on average PM 2.5 and CO 2 indices. In the case of indoor garden installation, the IAQ index increased to the “Good” section after the installation, and readings in the “Bad” section shown before the installation disappeared. The comfort index also did not dip into the “Uncomfortable” section, where it had been preinstallation, and significantly lowered the average score from “Uncomfortable for sensitive groups” to “Good”. Overall, the IAQ composite index for the generation of installations decreased the “Good” interval, but “Bad” did not appear. Conclusions In this study on developing an integrated solution for IAQ based on IoT indoor gardens, big data was analyzed to determine IAQ and comfort indexes and an IAQ composite index. Through this process, it became understood that it is necessary to monitor IAQ based on IoT.

        아파트 거주자의 실내정원에 대한 의식 및 이용실태

        The purpose of this study is to examine the residents' use pattern and the perceptions of an indoor garden. Eighty one responses from the residents living in the apartments equipped with the indoor garden were used for the data analysis. The major results are as follows, Residents showed a high perceptions level of the indoor environment. The 'Maintenance' of the indoor garden was pointed out as the biggest problem regardless of the residents' use patterns Those who had a high perceptional level of the indoor environment were those who indoor garden as its original purpose.

        교실 내 실내정원 설치가 아동 놀이성 및 놀이유형에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to examine the impacts of an in-door installation and play program, which was designed to offer a resting and play space by installing an in-door garden in the classroom, on the playing patterns and characteristics of children in the classroom. As for the impact of the intraclassroom indoor-garden installation and play program on the playing Patterns of the children, that program exercised a very significant influence on their interaction, one of the subfactors interactive peer play, which denoted that the application of the program served to step up their interaction. As a result of making a mind-map analysis to look for any qualitative changes in their play, there appeared great statistically significant changes in four areas: play space, playing patterns , playmate and impressions of play. As a consequence, the installation of intraclassroom indoor garden and the application of the program had a good impact on the children's play and their awareness of it. Concerning the influence of the intraclassroom indoor-garden installation and play program on the children's playing characteristics, they underwent significant changes in all the subfactors of playing characteristics that involved social spontaneity, cognitive spontaneity, joy and a sense of humor, which suggested that the program made a contribution to fostering the overall playing characteristics of the children. 본 연구에서는 교실 내 건전한 놀이문화 형성을 위하여 어린이들이 휴식하고 놀 수 있는 실내정원 설치 및 프로그램을 적용함으로써 아동 놀이유형 패턴에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 수행되었다. 이를 위하여 경기도 수원시에 위치한 M초등학교 4학년 2개 반을 대상으로 하여 실험집단과 1개 반과 비교집단 1개 반을 8주 동안에 걸쳐 실내정원 설치 및 실내정원 프로그램을 적용 하였다. 측정도구로는 양적인 평가로서 놀이성 척도 및 놀이유형 분석을 위한 상호작용적 또래놀이 척도를 작성하여 분석하였고 질적인 평가로서는 놀이성에 관한 아동들의 감정변화를 조사하기 위하여 놀이연상과 연관되는 마인드 맵 분석을 실시한 후 떠오른 단어를 코딩하였다. 교실 내 실내정원 설치 및 놀이프로그램 적용이 아동의 놀이성 및 상호작용적 또래놀이에 미친 영향을 살펴보면 놀이성 하위 요소인 사회적 자발성, 인지적 자발성, 분명한 즐거움, 유머감각 모두에서 유의미한 결과가 나타났으며 상호작용적 또래놀이의 하위 요소 중 놀이 상호작용에서 매우 유의미한 결과가 나타났다. 이는 실내정원 설치 및 실내정원 프로그램 적용이 아동들의 놀이상호작용을 촉진시키고 전반적인 놀이성 발달에 기여함을 알 수 있다. 놀이성 변화에 관한 질적인 변화를 알아보기 위해 실시한 마인드맵 분석을 통해서는 놀이공간, 놀이종류, 놀이친구, 놀이느낌 네 영역에서 통계적으로 매우 유의미한 결과가 있었으며, 이 결과 교실 내 실내 정원 도입 및 프로그램 적용이 놀이 자체와 놀이에 대한 인식 영역에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있다.

        실내정원 가꾸기 활동에 나타난 유아들의 경험

        The purpose of this study was to assess children in the process of planting and managing the seeds of the plants, as well as raising animals, by using space in the classroom. According to the objective mentioned above, the research question is presented as follows. 1. What type of experience do children have in the indoor garden management? The results are as follows: First, children experienced resolving question that has resulted from curiosity. Second, children experienced a shift from feeling fear in nature to being more comfortable with it. Third, children experienced empathy with nature. Fourth, children felt an aesthetic sensibility in the garden. Fifth, children expressed intimacy with nature. Sixth, they experienced taking care of the nature with love. Lastly, they have expressed knowing the relationship between plants, animals, and humans. 본 연구는 실내정원 가꾸기 활동을 통해 나타나는 유아들의 경험을 파악하고 유아경험의 의미가 무엇인지를 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 연구의 참여자는 유아, 교사, 연구자이며, 2008년 3월부터 2008년 9월까지 약 6개월간 실내정원 가꾸기 활동을 실시하였다. 실내정원 가꾸기는 햇빛이 잘 드는 과학영역에서 시작하여 유아들의 활동 전개에 따라 영역을 확장시켜 나가면서 실내정원을 구성하였다. 실내정원 가꾸기는 활동을 중심으로 관찰과 탐색이 이루어지는 가운데 이루어졌으며, 유아들의 경험은 참여관찰을 통한 비디오녹화, 교사저널, 연구자의 관찰일지, 유아 기록물, 연구자의 기록 및 메모, 사진자료를 수집하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 유아들의 경험은 ‘호기심에서 생긴 궁금증 해결하기’, ‘자연에서 느끼는 두려움’, ‘자연에 대한 감정이입’, ‘정원에서 심미감 느끼기’, ‘친근해진 자연’, ‘자연을 사랑으로 돌보기’, ‘식물ㆍ동물ㆍ인간이 맺는 관계 알기’ 로 나타났으며, 유아들에게서 실내정원을 가꾸는 직접적인 경험을 통해 자연친화적인 태도가 형성되는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 따라서 실내정원 가꾸기 활동을 유아교육기관에서의 생태교육 방법의 하나로 자리 잡을 수 있도록 하고 자연친화적인 교육활동을 모색하는 노력이 필요하다고 본다.

        Analysis of Factors Influencing Indoor PM2.5 and CO2 Concentrations in Households using IoT Technology after Indoor Garden Installation

        Background and objective: Plants are a natural and environmentally friendly way to improve indoor air quality. To evaluate indoor air quality, it is important to continuously measure and identify the influencing factors. This study aimed to identify the factors affecting PM2.5 concentration in indoor spaces with indoor garden installations. Methods: Factors influencing the concentration of indoor, airborne PM2.5 were monitored based on Internet of Things (IoT) technology. Ten households in South Korea were surveyed and categorized into Groups A (households without an indoor garden) and B (households with an indoor garden). An IoT-based device was used to monitor the indoor PM2.5 concentration and several environmental factors, including the outdoor PM2.5 (μg⋅m-3) and carbon dioxide (mL⋅m-3) concentrations, temperature (°C), and relative humidity (%). Further, the seasonal (spring, summer, fall, and winter) and temporal (dawn, morning, afternoon, and evening) variations in indoor PM2.5 concentration were monitored. Results: The indoor PM2.5 concentration decreased from 17.7 μg⋅m-3 to 16.7 μg⋅m-3, and from 15.5 μg⋅m-3 to 12.5 μg⋅m-3 in Groups A and B, respectively. A regression analysis showed that the indoor PM2.5 concentration was not significantly affected by the installation of the indoor garden (living rooms: p = .1577; kitchen: p = .4974); however, was influenced by the outdoor air conditions, as well as seasonal and temporal factors. Additionally, a subgrouping model demonstrated a statistical relationship between indoor garden installation and the environmental factors. Conclusion: These findings can assist in establishing guidelines for indoor air quality management.

        협동적 실내정원가꾸기 활동이 유아의 생명존중태도와 친사회적행동에 미치는 영향

        본 연구의 목적은 협동적 실내정원가꾸기 활동이 유아의 생명존중태도와 친사회적행동에 미치는 효과를 검증하는데 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 유아 56명을 대상으로 실험집단 28명, 비교집단 28명으로 나누었으며, 실험집단에는 주1회씩 12회에 거쳐 실내정원가꾸기 활동을 실시하였고, 생명존중태도는 김귀순(2001)과 배용철(2003)이 사용한 질문지를 유아수준에 맞도록 수정한 것을, 친사회적행동은 Mcginnis와 Goldstein(1990)의 기술상황척도(skill situation measures)를 이원영 외(1993)가 번안, 발췌, 수정하여, 유아의 친사회적 행동검사도구로 제작한 것을 검사도구로 사용하였다. 본 연구의 결과에 의하면, 협동적 실내정원가꾸기 활동은 생명존중태도와 친사회적행동에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 이러한 차이는 통계적으로도 유의미한 것으로 나타났다이러한 결과로 볼 때, 협동적 실내정원가꾸기 활동은 생명존중태도와 친사회적행동에 긍정적인 영향을 미치며, 유아로 하여금 자연을 보다 가까이 접하고 적극적으로 상호작용하도록 함으로써 생명을 존중하고, 자신의 정서를 조절하고 대인관계를 형성하는데 긍정적인 영향을 미친다고 결론내릴 수 있다. This study aims to verify the effects of cooperative indoor gardening activities on children’s respectful attitude of life and pro-social behaviors. Therefore, this study, which selected 56 children and divided them equally into the comparison group and the test group, performed indoor gardening activities. As a result of the study, cooperative indoor gardening activities affected positively respectful attitude of life and pro-social behaviors, and the difference was statistically significant. According to the findings, cooperative indoor gardening activities influenced positively respectful attitude of life and pro-social behaviors, and made children approach nature more closely and actively, implies that the activities provided a positive effect on children to respect life, control their emotion, and form interpersonal relations.
