      • 병원정보시스템 만족도에 미치는 영향

        The objective of the present paper is thus set at analyzing the effects of the hospital information system on the users by their characters, their satisfaction with the information in their job performance and the extent of such satisfaction, assessing the hospital information system in an effort to help the users find chances to detect any problems in their job, improve their decision making process and eventually to increase their job efficiency. As subjects for this study, 22 hospitals were selected and questionnaires were distributed to users of the hospital information system at these hospitals. A total of 246 replies collected from the users were put to use for final analysis as an empirical study to explore the difference in satisfaction of the hospital information system users by their personal characters and characters of hospitals, satisfaction in their job doing, satisfaction with the information and the effects of other supporting elements. As a result, With regard to the effects of satisfaction with the hospital information system by characters of hospitals, satisfaction with job performance, information as well as supporting factors, they turned out to have grave impacts upon satisfaction of hospital information system users. On the basis of the findings from the study, following suggestions could be made: first, efforts should be exerted to elevate satisfaction of the hospital information system users by building up a system that may well comply with types of hospitals and number of sickbeds in them; second, continuous education should be conducted to enhance precise understanding to the hospital information system and efficiency in job performance of the users as well as to meet requirements for development of hospital information programs with additional functions; third, the top management of hospitals should be able to use the information system as tools for establishing strategies of hospitals including short- and long-term plans for management and investments and also innovating management methods; and fourth, measures should be taken for medical organizations to pay more attention to the importance of the hospital information system, to know in what the direct users of the information system are interested in a try to operate and develop a more effective hospital information system in the future.

        군병원정보시스템 사용자의 만족도에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to investigate user satisfaction at Defense Medical Information System as it has been utilized as a part of National Defense Information Strategies since Aug. 2000. The subjects of this study were nurse officers and army surgeons of a hospital with 1,000 beds. The results of this study are as follows; First, according to the characteristics of the subjects, there was statistically significant difference in system satisfaction, job satisfaction and information satisfaction at Military Hospital Information System. Second, according to the intention of participation, there was a statistically significant difference in user satisfaction at Military Hospital Information System. T k d , according to a level of dexterity at Military Hospital Information System, there was statistically significant difference only in job satisfaction. Fourth, factors to influence system satisfaction were one`s duty, using period of Military Hospital Information System, and a level of dexterity at Military Hospital Information System. Factors to influence job satisfaction were a level of dexterity at Military Hospital Information System, one`s duty and intention of participation. Factors to influence information satisfaction were one`s duty, a level of dexterity at Military Hospital Information System, and intention of participation. As the first study on user satisfaction at Military Hospital Information System, this study suggests the followings. First, a plan to inspire users with intention of parbcipating in information system should be prepared. Second, it is necessary to provide policy activities for job standadzation of Military Hospital Information System and legal system improvement.

        한국의 병원 정보시스템이 병원의 전략, 고객만족, 병원의 성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

        This research is to investigate, through causal relationship, how the Hospital Information System affects the hospital strategy, employee satisfaction, patient management, work process, and the performance of the hospital. In the past, the information system focused on manufacturing companies that were specialized and technical in their fields, and was used mainly for work improvement, strategy and customer satisfaction, but service companies were not able to take advantage of various techniques employed by manufacturing companies because of the difficulty in getting standardized data. But these days, the information system applies to a wide range of service companies as well, because the collecting of various data has been made easier due to the advancement of information technology, such as the Automatic Identification System (AIS), the Hospital Management System and others. In the case of hospitals, in particular, there have been a lot of improvements with the short-term and long-term strategy, customer (patient) satisfaction, and work process due to the information system. Therefore, the information systems of five national mental hospitals in South Korea have been studied to understand how the Hospital Information System affects the hospital strategy, employee satisfaction, work process and the performance of the hospital. The findings are that the Hospital Information System appears to have a positive effect on the employee satisfaction, hospital strategy, patient management and the work process. Thus it can be said that the Hospital Information System these days contributes greatly to the development of the hospitals with a positive effect on both in-customers (employee) and out-customers (patients) of the hospital. Its effect on customer satisfaction, especially, is one of the biggest. It, therefore, can be said that the HIS can be effectively used not only for medical treatment, but also for various administrative works. The following findings are the effects on the hospital strategy. The system helps the hospital survive in the competitive market by providing necessary information for critical decision-making. Using such an information system also appears to have an effect on patient management, thereby indirectly affecting the performance of the hospital. The system is also found to have a positive effect on the employment, strategy, work process and patient management as well. So it is concluded that the findings are the same as those of existing studies in that the satisfaction of each internal element of the hospital eventually affects the level of patient satisfaction. Finally, the patient management and work process are concluded to have an effect on the business performance of the hospital.

        농어촌지역 병원의 의료정보시스템 성과에 따른 요인 연구

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the success model related to the performance of hospital information system in rural and rural hospitals and what factors affect the performance. The success model of the hospital information system of rural and urban center hospitals is verified and factors affecting performance. Results found that the system quality of the first hospital information system had a statistically significant effect on user satisfaction. Second, the information quality of hospital information system was found to be statistically significant to the user satisfaction, making information quality higher for the user satisfaction. Third, the quality of service of the hospital information system was shown to be statistically significant for user satisfaction. Finally, it was discovered that the more users were satisfied with the hospital information system, the better the organization’s performance. The academic contribution is significant in that theoretical discussions have been conducted on the basis of the success model of the information system at D&M (DeLone and McLean nformation Systems). It is also significant that the hospital’s information system, user satisfaction, and the organizational implications associated with it are identified.

        의료영상전달시스템과 전자의무기록시스템 도입이 병원경영성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of hospital information systems used by hospitals on their management performance. The service culture of hospitals is different from that of enterprises, and hospital information systems make it easier to provide prompt services and to improve communication between patients and medical personnel. In this study, usefulness, ease of use, services used and user satisfaction level were selected as independent variables, and hospital performance was selected as a dependent variable. In addition, two different hospital information services were selected: PACS and EMR system. And then a research model was designed to look for connections between the characteristics of the hospital information systems and hospital management performance. The subjects in this study were the employees of the hospitals in the region of Youngnam, which were equipped with the two hospital information systems. After a survey was conducted to gather data, a statistical package SPSS 20.0 was employed to make a multiple regression analysis. As a result, user satisfaction with PACS exerted a positive influence on hospital management performance. As for the EMR system, ease of use, services used and user satisfaction had a positive impact on hospital management performance. 본 연구는 병원에서 도입하고 있는 병원정보시스템 이용이 병원경영성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구를 하였다. 본 연구는 독립변수로 병원정보시스템 특성인 유용성, 이용편리성, 이용서비스, 이용만족도로 분류하였다. 종속변수는 병원경영성과로 하였다. 본 연구에서는 병원정보시스템 특성과 병원경영성과와의 관련성을 살펴보기 위하여 연구모형을 설계하였다. 연구대상자는 PACS와 EMR시스템을 도입한 병원에 근무하고 있는 직원들을 대상으로 영남지역 소재 병원을 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문지를 통해 수집된 기초자료를 바탕으로 통계처리는 SPSS 20.0을 사용하여 요인분석을 하였으며 신뢰도 및 변수들의 상관관계를 알아보고 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과 PACS는 이용만족도가 병원경영성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다(p<.001). EMR시스템은 이용편리성, 이용서비스, 이용만족도가 병원경영성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다(p<.001). 이상의 연구 결과를 종합해 볼 때 환경변화에 효율적으로 대처하기 위한 방안의 하나로 병원정보시스템 특성의 하부요인인 이용편리성과 서비스, 이용만족도를 지속적으로 관리함으로서 병원경영성과의 향상이라는 중요함을 보여주고 있다. 본연구의 한계점으로는 영남지역의 지역적 한계를 가지고 있으며 병원정보시스템과 병원경영성과 측정 도구가 표준화되거나 일반화된 정의가 없어 객관적인 도구를 사용하지 못한 한계를 가지고 있다. 향후 연구에는 이에 대한 추가적인 연구가 필요하다.

        Smart Information System for Gachon University Gil Hospital

        Objectives: In this research, the hospital information system of Gachon University Gil hospital is introduced and a future strategy for hospital information systems is proposed. Methods: This research introduces the development conditions of hospital information system at Gachon University Gil hospital, information about the development of the enterprise resource planning (ERP), a medical service process improvement system, and the personal health record (PHR) system. Results: The medical service process and work efficiency were improved through the medical service process improvement system, which is the most common hospital information system at Gachon University Gil hospital and which includes an emergency medical service system, an online evaluation system and a round support system. Conclusions: Gachon University Gil hospital developed medical service improvement systems to increase work efficiency of medical team and optimized the systems to prove the availability of high-quality medical services for patients and their families. The PHR-based personalized health care solution is under development and will provide higher quality medical service for more patients in the future.

        상황요인과 IS특성이 병원정보시스템의 수용수준 및 성과에 미치는 영향

        본 연구에서는 병원정보시스템의 성과에 상황요인과 정보시스템의 특성이 어떠한 영향을 미치고, 상황요인과 정보시스템 특성과 수용요인인 매개변수가 병원정보시스템의 성과에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 실증적으로 검증하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 정보시스템의 성과에 영향을 미치는 선행 연구를 바탕으로 병원정보시스템의 성과에 영향을 미치는 주요 요인으로 상황요인과 정보시스템(IS)특성을 선정하였다. 상황요인을 측정하기 위해 업무특성, 조직특성, 사용자특성을 도출하였고, IS특성으로는 시스템품질, 정보품질, 서비스품질을 도출하였다. 또한 매개변수로 시스템사용과 사용자만족을 성과변수로 직무성과를 제시하였다. 이를 바탕으로 통합모형을 제시하고 실증 분석하였다. 연구결과, 병원정보시스템의 성과를 높이기 위해서는 병원업무의 구조화, 조직 구성원의 참여, 정보의 질과 전산부서의 서비스능력과 지원이 필요한 것으로 분석되었다. 이와 같은 병원조직의 상황 하에서 병원정보시스템의 성과가 높아질 것이고, 이는 새로운 병원정보시스템의 도입과 개발에 있어서 고려해야할 중요한 요소라고 할 수 있다. 그러나 향후 연구에는 조직의 외부환경이나 특성, 병원정보시스템의 성과지표로 비용절감효과, 의사결정의 질, 고객만족도, 환자대기시간 단축 등 병원의 특성을 나타내는 좀 더 유연한 변수들을 사용하는 연구범위로 확대가 필요하다. This study is aimed to develop and set up a future hospital information systems by examining the effects of contingency variables and information system characteristics on the performance of the hospital information systems, and by finding the effects of the two variables and intermediation variables in expropriation level on its performance. From the results of this study, it may be concluded that it is necessary to have work relevancy, standardization, participation of users, and self-ability for the hospital information systems in order to increase the performance of the hospital. It seems also necessary for hospitals to acquire information quality, service ability, and service support to operate hospital information systems effectively. This study can be further expanded by considering more variables that are related to the size of hospitals and the history of their information systems.

        병원간호사의 병원정보시스템 활용정도에 영향을 미치는 요인

        Purpose: This study was to identify the factors affecting utilization of clinical nurses' hospital information system. Method: Using a convenient sampling, 450 nurses from 9 secondary or tertiary university hospitals in B metropolitan city were selected. Results: The extent that nurses utilize the hospital information system was 3.22 point on average. The hospital information system utilization was positively correlated with personal information utilization skill, information-oriented education, attitude toward computer, and support of the chief manager, while was negatively correlated with the organizational atmosphere. The causal factors of influencing on the hospital information system utilization were personal information technology, education experience of the hospital information system, age, attitude toward computers, education level and support of the chief manager. The total eigenvalue of the variables was 38%. The major variables of influencing on the hospital information system utilization were the personal information technology and education experience of the hospital information system. Conclusions: Thus, nurse managers should provide training courses to improve personal information technology of nurses, and consistently promote them so that nurses can readily apply the hospital information system which have been recently introduced in various ways and thus improve the efficiency of nursing.

        Implementation of Consolidated HIS: Improving Quality and Efficiency of Healthcare

        Objectives: Adoption of hospital information systems offers distinctive advantages in healthcare delivery. First, implementation of consolidated hospital information system in Seoul National University Hospital led to significant improvements in quality of healthcare and efficiency of hospital management. Methods: The hospital information system in Seoul National University Hospital consists of component applications: clinical information systems, clinical research support systems, administrative information systems, management information systems, education support systems, and referral systems that operate to generate utmost performance when delivering healthcare services. Results: Clinical information systems, which consist of such applications as electronic medical records, picture archiving and communication systems, primarily support clinical activities. Clinical research support system provides valuable resources supporting various aspects of clinical activities, ranging from management of clinical laboratory tests to establishing care-giving procedures. Conclusions: Seoul National University Hospital strives to move its hospital information system to a whole new level, which enables customized healthcare service and fulfills individual requirements. The current information strategy is being formulated as an initial step of development, promoting the establishment of next-generation hospital information system.

      • A Study on Job Satisfaction by Medical Information System Accomplishment

        Purpose. The purpose of this study is to investigate the success model related to the hospital information system accomplishment. It is important to examine the success model of the hospital information system and to analyze the factors affecting the job satisfaction accomplishment. Methods. The method of this study is to 150 copies of the entire survey data were distributed and 135 copies were collected, showing a collection rate of 90%. In order to ensure the reliability of the questionnaire items, Cronbach's Alpha was used to test reliability, and exploratory factor analysis was conducted to determine the convergence of various items. In order to grasp the convergence of various items, exploratory factor analysis was performed. The results of exploratory factor analysis were used to analyze the correlations between variables that were proven to have a single dimensionality before calculating factor loadings and regression analysis by Orthogonal Rotation by Varimax method Results. The results of this study, first, the system quality of the hospital information system has a statistically significant effect on user satisfaction. Second, the information quality of hospital information system is statistically significant for user satisfaction, indicating that information quality improves user satisfaction. Third, service quality of hospital information system was statistically significant in user satisfaction. Finally, the higher the satisfaction of the users who use the hospital information system, the higher the accomplishment of the organization Conclusions. This study is based on the successful model of D & M information system. In addition, the hospital information system, the user satisfaction, and the organizational accomplishment in connection with it can be found significant.
