Vol.28 No.3

With the advent of the fourth industrial revolution, many countries around the world have been establishing and carrying out national visions and strategies for higher education. Although science plays a leading role in our future society, university-level dance education can be revitalized because creative activities of dancing restore and generate an essential human ability to create and change the future. This research presents the following core values and strategies that must be implemented in dance departments at universities in the future. First, higher education in the future should adopt a strategy to coexist with social mechanisms that allows learners to learn new technology continuously and to receive convergence education that combines ethical education and traditional study based on globalization and multi-dimensional social structure. Second, dance departments in universities, in the digital era, need to develop a specialized and new teaching-learning paradigm for to develop and combine dance and scientific technology. For this purpose, the foundation of educating dance researchers should be established where innovative teaching methods and leadership, transdisciplinary research and global viewpoints, regional ties and civic awareness, and technology are utilized. Third, dance departments in universities should expand the boundaries of contexts, connectivity and interactions in dance on the societal, cultural and artistic level by utilizing DDL(digital dance literacy) for open online education, and enhance the organizational, influential and introspective power of dance. In addition, the dance departments need to build a dance platform where a variety of content and lectures can be developed and offered through MOOC(massive open online course) to help learners to study further into their majors, plan their career and improve job skills. As stated above, dance departments in universities need public cooperation from other departments to hone their competitiveness for the future. Valid dance education modules should be developed as dance is required in many areas such as dance expert education, civic education, and fundamental and applied research fields. Furthermore, in a response to the change in population structure due to an aging population, a sound dance network that can contribute to healthy life and health care services must be developed. Lastly, investors, developers, and instructors who would make contribution to the development of dance educational technology should cooperate with each other and conduct research, while institutional and policy support system for them are prepared.

Vol.33 No.1

The purpose of this study was to explore the development direction of future dance education by examining how it can be used in the dance curriculum based on the technical characteristics of hyper-connectivity, super-intelligence, and super- realistic in the 4th industrial revolution. Based on this, an educational model suitable for future dance education development plans was sought by examining changes in core technologies and dance fields in the 4th industrial revolution. The research results are summarized as follows. First, artificial intelligence (AI), designed based on super-intelligent information and social technology, can improve the unity of content learning that teaches existing fixed creative movements in the ‛input stage’ where teaching methods are used as future dance education models. Instructors can intuitively grasp the direction of each student’s creative thinking through learners’ motion feedback, so they can realize a personalized education model by specifying teaching guidance plans. Second, by designing the 360°education method as an ‛learning stage’ of the future dance education model based on hyper-connected social technology, the limitations of the virtual space of online classes can be effectively improved. Instructors can provide quality classes by grasping learners’ academic diagnosis in real time from an omnidirectional perspective. Third, in the ‛reinterpretation stage’ where virtual reality (VR) teaching methods designed based on super-realisticed reality social technology are used as future dance education models, dance education can overcome the time and space limitations of traditional educational environment and educational methods. As a result, the evolution of dance education using core technologies in the 4th industrial revolution will entrust practical and practical activation of the dance field, and this practical activation will promote shared growth with detailed areas of other departments.

Vol.78 No.3

The purpose of this study is not only to develop into the technology in the field of dance education as the 4th industrial revolution begins, but also to find various ways of education and ways to make it more concrete, especially since education is directly related to employment problems. It is the area to be noted most in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution. The research method was analyzed by focusing on previous studies dealing with dance education and artificial intelligence according to the background of the 4th Industrial Revolution. The research data was limited from 2008 to 2020, and the reason for the limitation was to see the changes in education suggesting the beginning of the 4th Industrial Revolution era at the time of the first revised curriculum in 2007. The purpose of this study was to examine the needs of the dance curriculum system utilizing the perception of the 4th industrial revolution and to study basic materials that can be developed in dance education through research and analysis of student and expert groups. As a result of the overall study, it was found that the expert group had higher awareness of dance education according to the times.

Vol.69 No.2

The Fourth Industrial Revolution has become such a buzzword in Korea, and the dance field is no exception for it. Instead of consuming it as another slogan to absorb, this study takes a critical and contextualized approach to it in the light of the future of dance in higher education. Shifting the framework from topics of ‘the Fourth Industrial Revolution’ and ‘dance departments’ into those of ‘technology-capital discourse’ and ‘dance in higher education’, the researcher argues that the dance field should problematize the paradox found in the logics of university reconfiguration, conceptualize dance in higher education beyond the boundary of departmental structures, and build an arena in which disparate subjects can share with each other and envision the future of our field.

Vol.29 No.2

The objective of this study is to develop high school dance-teaching programs for creativity improvement in order to educate the competent who can be adjusted to convergence environments in the 4th industrial age. This study is completed based on teacher’s observation evaluation and learner’s interview without using creative test tools. The results suggested in the introduction are as follows. First, the concept and nature of creativity are our ability and attitudes to make new something, and further, our brain’s intuition, not to pursue the newness. Potentiality can be developed only when it gets out of the current paradigm and sets free our imagination. Additionally, creativity can be the latent nature and ability of human being. Second, the educational value of creative dances is to improve the creativity through creative lessons. This creativity spreads through the ability to produce alternative solutions to the given problems and the development of compositive ability to conceive all kinds of ideas. Third, dance-teaching programs depending on the types of highschool students focused on creativity improvement in approaching dances. The programs are based on the materials of nature, play, and life rather than artistic materials. The evaluative items of creativity improvement were determined as embodiment, ideas, composition, and confidence. Embodiment is the way of expression, which is based on the imitative model of intuition, composition is a new expression, and ideas are the change of thoughts. The findings from the analysis of class observation and learner’s interview proved that the creativity improvement is caused by physical movements and inner mind. The division between the leader type and general type for creative danceteaching programs suggests the future prospective on dance-teaching for creative improvement. This research places its value on achieving creative educational objectives depending on the creative dance-teaching programs. The results of this study are expected to be used as the study materials to pursue artistic productions of general people who participate in dances and dance professionals leading the 4th industrial revolution age.
