        환경 친화형 하이솔리드 아크릴수지의 합성과 아크릴 우레탄 도료의 경화 특성

        본 연구에서는 n-butyl acrylate (BA), methyl methacrylate (MMA), 2-hydroxypropyl methacrylate (HPMA) 및 acetoacetoxyethyl methacrylate(AAEM) 단량체를 부가 중합시켜 고형분이 75%인 아크릴수지를 합성하였다. 이때, 아크릴수지의 유리전이온도($T_g$)를 20, 30, $40^{\circ}C$로, 수산기가(OH value)를 60, 90, 120으로 변화시켰다. 그 결과, 아크릴수지의 점성도는 $T_g$와 수산기가가 증가할수록 증가하였다. 합성된 아크릴수지는 높은 가교밀도를 갖도록 설계되어 고탄력성과 고내구성을 유지하였다. 가교된 아크릴수지는 블록이소시아네이트(Desmodur BL-3175)와 경화 반응시켜 아크릴 우레탄 투명 도료를 제조하는데 사용되었다. 도료에 대하여 점성도, 접착성, 연필경도 및 $60^{\circ}$ 경면광택도 등의 측정을 통해 물리적 특성을 분석하였고, 아크릴 우레탄 투명 도료는 코일코팅용 상도 도료로서 적용되기 위하여 시편으로 제조되어 다양한 특성이 평가되었다. 제조된 도료는 접착력이 뛰어났고, $60^{\circ}$ 경면광택도와 연필경도에서 우수한 특성을 나타내었으며, 환경 친화적이었다. In this study, acrylic resins with solids content of 75% were prepared by addition polymerization of n-butyl acrylate (BA), methyl methacrylate (MMA), 2-hydroxypropyl methacrylate (HPMA) and acetoacetoxyethyl methacrylate (AAEM) monomers. At this time, the glass transition temperature ($T_g$) of the acrylic resin was changed to 20, 30 and $40^{\circ}C$, and the hydroxyl value (OH value) was changed to 60, 90 and 120. As a result, the viscosity of acrylic resin increased with increasing $T_g$ and hydroxyl (OH) value. The synthesized acrylic resin was designed to have a high cross-link density to maintain high elasticity and high durability. The crosslinked acrylic resin was used to prepare an acrylic urethane clear coating by curing reaction with a block isocyanate (Desmodur BL-3175). The physical properties of the clear paints were analyzed by measuring viscosity, adhesion, pencil hardness and $60^{\circ}$ specular gloss. Acrylic urethane clear coatings were prepared as specimens and evaluated for various properties to be applied as top coatings for coil coating. The prepared coatings were excellent in adhesion, excellent in $60^{\circ}$ specular gloss and pencil hardness, and eco-friendly.

      • 하이솔리드 아크릴수지의 합성과 아크릴-우레탄 도료의 도막 물성

        To prepare polyurethane coatings for top coatings of automobiles, acrylic resins containing 75% of solids were synthesized by a radical polymerization. The viscosity of the acrylic resins was increased with increasing OH values. Crosslinked acrylic-urethane clear coatings were obtained by curing reaction between the synthesized acrylic resins and hexamethylene diisocyanate(HDI) trimer(Desmodur N-3600). The physical properties from the following studies were carried out : viscosity(Zahn cup #2), adhesion, pensil hardness, and 60°specular gloss. Various properties of the acrylic-urethane clear coatings as top coatings of mobile coat were evaluated on the coating specimens. Adhesion property to a substrate, 60° specular gloss, and pencil hardness of prepared paint showed quite good properties.

        본 연구의 목적은 콘크리트 구조물이 유해한 환경에 의한 중성화를 방지한다. 현재 사용되는 고알카리성 보수재의 문제점을 개선하기 위해 친환경적인 수용성 아크릴을 사용하여 구조물의 중성화를 방지하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 물시멘트비는 40%, 50% 그리고 60%로 변화시켰으며, 보수재를 도포하지 않은 기준실험체와 고알칼리성 수용액이 주성분인 보수재 그리고 수용성 아크릴계 보수재 3가지를 실험변수로 선정하였다. 실험결과 수용성 아크릴계 보수재가 중성화에 대한 저항성이 우수함을 알 수 있었다. The purpose of this study is to prevent carbonation of the concrete structure by hazardous environments. To improve hyperalkaline surface coating which is being usually used, we develop the eco-friendly acrylic emtulsion as the coating material to prevent the carbonation Experimental variables were changed that are water-cement ratio 40%, 50%, 60% and non-coating control test piece, hyperalkaline emtilsion surface coating and acrylic emtilsion surface coating. As a result, acrylic emtilsion show the outstanding capacity as coating material for carbonation

        Full-Grain 피혁용 수용성 아크릴 Base coat 수지의 합성 및 물성측정 연구

        In this study we experimented that how polyurethane effect to acrylic-polyurethane resin in Full-Grain leather coatings. First of all, we consummated waterborne acrylic emulsion and waterborne polyurethane resin, Than we prepared F.G leathers which were coated by acrylic resin and acrylic-polyurethane resins. According to measured data for solvent resistance, acrylic resin and acrylic-polyurethane resins had good property. Sample a(WAC) had most low strength(2.10 kgf/㎟) and sample d(WAC 93 : WPU 7) had most high strength(3.41 kgf/㎟). Also we knew that most good property of abrasion is d(47.4 ㎎). In elongation case, a(WAC) had most good result(645 %) in this experiment.

        아크릴/우레아 가교 폴리머의 하이솔리드 도료에의 적용

        Environmental friendly acrylics/urea high-solid paints (BEHCU) were prepared through the curing reaction of acrylics resin(BEHC) containing 70wt% of solids content and butylated urea curing agent. BEHC was synthesized by addition copolymerization of caprolactone acrylate(CLA), 2-hydroxypropyl methacrylate(2-HPMA), ethyl methacrylate, and n-butyl acrylate. The addition polymerization of these monomers, especially including flexible CLA monomer and 2-HPMA monomer with OH funtional group, under appropriate reaction conditions resulted in polymers with controlled glass transition temperature(Tg) and crosslinking density. The molecular weight(Mw) of these polymers(BEHCs) was 2940{sim}3240 and polydispersity (Mw/Mn) was in the range of 1.61{sim}1.72. The viscosity and the molecular weight of these acrylic resins increased with increasing Tg. The coated films were prepared using curing reaction between BEHC resin and butylated urea curing agent at 100^{circ}C for 30 minutes. Our experimental resulted showed that enhancement of the coating properties such as adhesion, flexibility, impact resistance, water resistance, and abrasion resistance could be expected through introducing CLA component in acrylic resin for the high-solid content acrylics/urea coatings.

        광케이블용 유리섬유의 코팅을 위한 고흡수성 코팅액 및 코팅필름의 제조 및 특성분석

        The coating solution with high viscosity and absorbability was prepared using acrylic monomers by emulsion polymerization. The chemical structure of acrylic copolymers was determined by an IR spectrometer, and the changes in viscosity of coating solution with different polymer concentrations were measured using a rheometer. Further, it was confirmed that the coating film showed excellent absorbability with high tensile strength, compared with glass fiber coating. Therefore, the coating solution and film are expected to be a useful material for producing water-proof fiber to use in optical cable.

        Preparation of Unsaturated Polyester-based Hybrid Gel-Coats Containing Urethane Acrylate and Their Coating Performance

        Two different urethane acrylates (mono-acrylate and di-acrylate) were used to prepare unsaturated polyester-based hybrid gel-coats. The physical properties and surface characteristics of these gel-coats were investigated on the basis of the content and type of urethane acrylate. The set-to-touch time increased and the physical properties (surface hardness and tensile strength) decreased with an increase in the urethane acrylate content. However, the type of urethane acrylate did not affect these parameters. It was found that the optimal urethane acrylate content for the application of unsaturated polyester-based hybrid gel-coats is ~10 wt%.

        Five different composition UV-cured poly(urethane acrylate-co-acrylic acid) (PU-co-AA) films have been prepared by reacting isophorone diisocyanate(IPDI), polycaprolactone triol(PCLT), 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate(HEA), and different weight ratio trimethylolpropane triacrylate(TMPTA) and acrylic acid(AA) as diluents, and characterized using a Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR). The adhesion properties onto the stainless steel, morphology, mechanical hardness, and electrical property of UV-cured PU-co-AA films were investigated as a function of acrylic acid(AA) content. All the PU-co-AA films are structure-less and the molecular ordering and packing density decreased with increasing content of AA due to the flexible structure and -COOH side chains in AA. The crosscut test showed that PUco-AA films without AA and with low content of AA showed 0% adhesion(OB) and the adhesion of PU-co-AA films in the range of 4()`5010 AA increased dramatically as the content of AA increases. The pull-off measurements showed that the adhesion force of PU-co-AA films to stainless steel substrate varied from 6 to 31 kg/cm2 and increased linearly with increasing AA content. The mechanical hardness also decreased as the content of AA increases. This may come from relatively linear and flexible structure in AA and low crystallinity in PU-co-AA films with higher content of AA. The higher AA-containing PU-co-AA films showed higher dielectric constant due to the increase of polarization by intra-ducing AA monomer. In conclusion, the physical properties of UV-cured PU-co-AA films are strongly dependent upon the content of AA and the incorporation of AA in polyurethane acrylate is very useful way to increase the adhesion strength of UV-curable polymers on the stainless steel substrate.

        피혁가공용 수용성 아크릴-폴리우레탄 Hybrid Resin의 합성 및 기계적 특성에 관한 연구

        In this study, we experimented that how to synthesis waterborne urethane-acrylic hybrid resin for leather coatings. First of all, We had analyzed data by FT-IR, SEM and TGA for the machanical properties. By TGA analysis polymers showed heat distortion temperature. and by FT-IR measurement we confirmed that synthesis of urethane and acrylic. In the experiment, solvent resistance, polyurethane and acrylic grades 4-5 showed both a high. Tensile strength measured in the waterborne polyurethane > Acrylic emulsion showed strength in the order. Films were obtained by coating the water born resin on leveled surfaces and allowing them to dry at room temperature for 72hrs. After demolding, the films were kept in a desiccator to avoid moisture contant at 25℃ for 45hrs before the measurements. In this result, the mechanical propersies of waterborne polyurethane-acrylic hybrid resin showed that how effect to resin in leather coating between polyurethane content and acrylic content. Therefore, acrylic emulsion had most high solvent resistance glade and waterborne polyurethane had good result in abrasion test and tensile strength.

        Monoammonium phosphate를 포함한 아크릴 수지의 합성 및 물성에 관한 연구

        본 연구에서는 ethyl acrylate monomer(EAM)을 사용한 수용성 아크릴 수지를 합성한 후 monoammonium phophate를 수용액 상태로 녹인 뒤 이를 아크릴 수지에 함양을 달리한 시료를 준비하여 각각의 필름 상태 및 피혁 외부에 코팅하여 기계적 물성측정 및 열안정성 물성 측정 실시하여 각각의 시료를 비교 검토 하였다. DSC를 이용한 열안정성 측정 결과 monoammonium phosphate 함량이 높은 시료(WAC-APS3) 의 Tm 값이 410℃ 로 가장 높은 열안정성을 확인할 수 있었다. 내용제성 측정결과 아크릴 수지 및 브랜딩 된 수지 모두 높은 내용제성을 확인 할 수 있었다. 내마모성 측정결과는 monoammonium phosphate 함량이 높은 수지가 우수한 물성(68.729 mg.loss)을 보였으나, 인장 강도,연신율 측정치에서는 monoammonium phosphate 함량이 높아질수록 물성이 저하되어 아크릴 수지의 인장력인 1.505 kgf/㎟ 보다 낮은 1.275 kgf/㎟ 이 측정되었으며, 연신율의 경우 수용성 아크릴 수지 단독 시료의 연신율인 425% 보다 낮은 384% 가 측정되었다. For this research, synthesis acrylic resin by ethyl acrylate monomer(EAM) and prepared samples which set by difference amount of monoammonium phosphate solution in waterborne acrylic resin. Use these resins, analyzed mechanical properties and thermal stability by films and leather surface coated. The test of DSC experiment sample WAC-APS3 was 410℃ Tm values which means the highest content of monoammonium phosphate had highest thermal stability in acrylic resin. According to measure data for solvent resistance, all samples showed good property. As known in the results, increase of ammonium phosphate constant did not influence to big change of resin properties. In abrasion test WAC-APS3 was good abrasion properties(68.729mg.loss). Test of tensile strength, as increase as monoammonium phosphate resin analyzed low properties 1.505 kgf/㎟ to 1.275 kgf/㎟. In elongation case, same as strength test result 425 % to 384 % by increase to monoammonium phosphate amount in acrylic resin.
