Banana Yoshimoto's the collection of short stories,『Kitchen』 (1988), is known in her distinctive writing style and expression and caused the phenomenon so-called ‘Banana Boom’. 『Kitchen』is made up of 3 parts and all stories have been narrated from the first-person point of view by a young woman around the beginning of twenties. In this paper, I discussed about the new image of women what the author trying to make by analyzing the novels. Firstly, 『Kitchen』is full of colloquialisms and personal impression of the heroine. It can be seen that it has worked as a tool to express heroin's emotion and will. This kind of writing style was not seen in the traditional Japanese literature. The another distinguishing characteristic of 『Kitchen』 is asexual love. Male and female characters in the stories continue their relationship as a friend without having any sexual relationships. An asexual relationship might be thought as reminiscent of platonic love. But we can see that it symbolizes young women's identity and independence as an individual. Banana Yoshimoto took a positive view of Japanese young women's sensitivity and will. 『Kitchen』is the novel depicting the proactive way of women's life.『Kitchen』has great significance for the fact that Japanese young woman who live magnificently grew to be a main character in the Japanese literature.

Nguyễn Nhật Ánh and Yoshimoto Banana are authors from two different literary movements, cultures, and countries. Their works are all best-sellers and have received many prestigious awards. Comparing their works from the perspective of shoujo manga, we can see that there are many similarities between them. Regarding the concept of composition, they all want to create works that are accessible to the majority of the public. Therefore, they choose topics which are close and attractive to mass readers as well as simple style, characters, literary devices, artistic space and time that are famous in shoujo - a popular art form of Japan. However, the ideological content in the works of both is not explicit and simple, but expresses the eternal feelings and values of humanity such as love for people, love for the homeland, country, reflecting the depths of both the conscious and the subconscious as well as profound aesthetic and philosophical values, profound aesthetic and philosophical values. Their works present the trend of interference between popular culture and elite literature. We can draw lessons for young writers, cultural managers and a wide audience from the success of these two writers.

よしもとばななと申京淑における感覺表現の比較硏究-『ひな菊の人生』と『離れ部屋』における嗅覺表現をめぐって -

본 논문에서는 「유년시절의 기억과 마음의 상처치유」를 테마로, 그 기억을 후각표현을 능숙하게 사용하여 그리고 있는 요시모토 바나나의 『히나키쿠의 인생』과 신경숙의『외딴방』이란 작품에 대하여 고찰하였다. 우선, 양 작품에 나타난 후각표현의 수량과 그 수식대상을 조사한 결과, 두 작가모두 인물을 수식하는 후각표현을 가장 많이 사용하고 있었다. 또한「음식 냄새」와 「공간의 냄새」등과 같이 독자의 상상력에 맡겨진 후각표현은 『외딴방』에 상당히 많이 쓰여지고 있다는 것이 밝혀졌다. 또한 인물에 대한 후각적 묘사는 양 작품 모두 공간의 기억과 크게 관련되어 있었다. 다음으로, 「인물과 냄새의 기억」,「공간에 있어서의 냄새의 기억」,「후각과 리얼리티」라고 하는 세 가지 관점에서 두 작품을 고찰하였다. 그 결과, 『히나키쿠의 인생』에서는 소중한 사람에게서 느껴지던 냄새를 무의식적으로 기억하면서 그 냄새의 기억으로 힘을 얻어 밝게 살아가려고 하는 주인공의 긍정적인 내면을 나타내고 있었고, 그 무의식적인 냄새의 기억이 있는 공간에서 생활하면서 주인공의 마음의 상처는 치유되고 있었다. 한편, 『외딴방』에서는, 인물과의 내적 단절, 상실감등을 후각표현을 통해서 그리고 있었고, 공간묘사에서는 주인공이 탈출하고 싶은 공간의 기억과 추구하는 공간의 기억이 후각표현에 의해 구체화되어 있었다. 또한, 『히나키쿠의 인생』에서는 꿈에서 느낀 불길한 느낌의 후각적 묘사가 죽음을 암시하는 역할을 하면서, 현실과 꿈을 후각으로 연결시킴으로서 꿈이라는 비현실적인 상황에 리얼리티를 부여하였다. 한편, 『외딴방』에서는 죽은 자의 등장이라고 하는 환상적인 장면에 후각표현을 사용하여 주인공의 내면의 변화를 나타냈는데, 이것은 다른 감각에 비해 현실성이 강한 후각표현을 사용함으로서 감각을 설명하는 것이 아니라 암시적으로 내면을 묘사해 작품에 내적 리얼리티를 부여하기 위한 것 이였다.

韓國 內 多文化家庭의 問題點 解決을 위한 對策 ─ 日本語母語話者의 言語敎育的인 觀點에서 ─

한국 사회는 다양한 국적을 가진 외국인들이 국제결혼, 취업 등과 같은 다양한 이유로 국내에 체재하는 인구가 증가하고 있다. 더욱이 한국은 세계에서도 비슷한 예를 찾아볼 수 없을 정도의 빠른 속도로 저출산(低出産), 고령화 사회로 진행되어 감에 따라서 특히 농촌지역을 중심으로 한국인 배우자(配偶者)와 결혼하여 가정을 이루어 살아가고 있는 외국인의 인구가 증가하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 다문화가정을 이루고 사는 외국인들이 성공적으로 한국 사회에 적응하기 위해서는 그들이 필요로 하는 다양한 요구에 적합한 맞춤형 교육과정의 개발이 시급하다는 것을 제안하기 위하여, 일본어 모어화자들이 한국 사회에서 겪게 될 어려움에 대해 번역소설의 잘못된 번역의 경우를 통해 살펴보고자 한다. 구체적으로는 일본의 요시모토 바나나(吉本ばなな)의 『キッチン』을 번역한 『키친』(김난주 옮김, 민음사)에 나타나는 잘 못된 번역의 예들을 통해 단순히 문법 중심적인 언어교육은 지양되어야 한다는 것을 주장하고자 한다. Korea has increasingly more population because of various reasons like international marriage and employment of people from abroad. With unprecedented low fertility rate and the number of aging population, rural areas of the country especially have more and more Korean people tying their knots with their spouse from other side of the world. To suggest that tailored education should be developed as quickly as possible that could meet the needs of these aliens so that they would be able to adjust to the Korean society successfully, it dealt with difficulties that Japanese native speakers would experience in Korea with a novel that was translated wrong. The novel is titled 『キッチン』 by YOSHIMOTO Banana (吉本ばなな) and translated 『Kitchen』translated by Kim, Nanju (published by Mineumsa). With examples of wrong translation in the novel, it asserted that grammar-oriented linguistic education should be avoided.
