Recently rail-travel is regarded as a significant means of realizing low-emission green tourism. However there is not enough research about rail-travelers’ motivations and benefit sought from an academic or marketing perspective. Therefore this study investigates Rail-ro rail pass gaining popularity among young Korean travelers in recent years. For this, it segments Rail-ro ticket traveler market based on their motivations, and identifies the differences in their motivations and benefit sought according to the segmented market. The questionnaire survey was carried out in Suncheon area, Jeollanam-do, the most favored destination by Rail-ro travelers. This research identified that there are three different markets in the Rail-ro traveler market, which are a purposed traveler group, a mixed traveler group, and an escape traveler group. It is also found that the proportion of the mixed traveler group is the highest meanwhile the proportion of the purposed traveler group is the lowest. Moreover there are differences in travel motivations and benefit sought in travel destinations according to the type of groups. In particular, the mixed group showed the highest level of motivations in all travel motivations, the escape traveler group had a strong motivation to pursue relaxation, and the purposed traveler group had a strong motivation to seek excitement and knowledge. In terms of benefit sought, all three groups regarded attractiveness and resources as the most important. The findings present invaluable messages that contribute not only to establishing marketing strategies towards trail-pass travelers but also to revitalize green tourism through rail-travel.
당일여행객과 숙박여행객의 다목적지 여행 행동 조사: 경남지역을 중심으로

This study classified groups into day and overnight travelers according to the length of stay and conducted association rule analysis to identify and compare the multi-attraction travel behavior of each group. To achieve the purpose of this study, we used raw data from “Gyeongnam Visitor Type Analysis and Research on Improvement of Tourist Satisfaction Measures” published by the Gyeongnam Research Institute and performed association rule analysis. Specifically, based on the Apriori algorithm, useful association rules were identified using support and confidence indicators. As a result of the analysis, 16 relevance rules appeared in the day travel group, but 24 relevance rules appeared in the overnight traveler group. In other words, it can be seen that overnight travelers visit more tourist attractions in the Gyeongnam province than day travelers. Second, it was confirmed that the multi-attraction travel behavior patterns were different between the day travel group and the overnight trip group. Third, the results revealed that travelers who visit two or more tourist destinations differ in the cities they visit depending on the type of travel. Day travelers from Miryang City had three visit types, and overnight travelers had one visit type. However, Sacheon City day travelers showed two visit types, and overnight travelers had no visit type. Lastly, it disclosed that Geoje City and Geochang City play a greater role as overnight tourist destinations than as day tourist destinations. Therefore, this study can present objective data on the travel behavior of day and overnight travelers to multi-attraction and suggests academic and practical implications based on the results of this study. This study can be used as basic data to improve the tourism satisfaction of tourists visiting Gyeongnam province and establish policies for tourism linking cities and counties.

소득 및 생활수준의 향상으로 인해 여행업활동은 현대 사회에서 급속히 확장되고 있고, 반면 여행계약과 여행주최자에 대한 소비자인 여행계약자들의 불만이 크게 증가하고 있다. 그러나 아직까지는 여행업에 대한 법적 규제가 미흡할 뿐만 아니라 여행계약을 규율하는 민법상의 명문규정은 없이 단순히 국내여행표준약관과 국외여행표준약관에 의한 당사자 사이의 법률관계가 다루어지고 있어서 여행소비자 보호에는 충분하지 못하다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 민법에 여행계약에 관한 규정을 신설하려는 움직임이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 여행계약에 관한 최근 민법개정안에 대한 내용을 검토하고, 나아가 여행계약에 관한 민법개정안의 문제점과 소비자인 여행자보호를 중심으로 개선방안을 살펴본다. 이를 바탕으로 최근 제안된 민법개정안과 국내여행표준약관 및 국외여행표준약관에 대한 문제점을 개선하기 위해 몇 가지 제안을 하였다. 본 연구가 여행계약을 둘러싼 분쟁해결에 기여할 수 있기를 바라며, 소비자로서의 여행자보호가 한층 강화될 수 있기를 기대한다. According to the development of life quality and income, a travel business is a means of mass consumption in society, and nowadays traveler and traveler complaints have increased very many. But there are no civil law on travel contract, just domestic travel standard agreement and overseas travel standard agreement are existed. And these agreements are not sufficient to protect travelers. In ordre to solve the legal conflict, 8 contract clauses are provided in articles from 674-2 to 674-9 of the revised draft bill of civil law. This study deals with the problems mentioned above and examines the quality of legal system in the travel contract. The study also views some issues which was excluded from a new provisions of a travel contract thought they should be included. The issues that I studied are the content on traveler's right of self dependence, proposal of provisions for traveler's right, and necessity of compulsory regulations for travel contract. In conclusion, I suggest the several problems on revised draft bill of civil law of 「Travel Contract」, domestic travel standard agreement and overseas travel standard agreement be reconsidered. Although there have been a plenty of discussions in the process of revision, I think that subject needs more considerations. I wish, from this study, the problems of travel contract should be revised or supplemented. The profound discussion and review should be conducted from this study, which would contribute to a real life of travel contract area based on civil law.
항공사 레저 여행자의 유형이 추천행동에 미치는 차별적 영향

Airline customers can be divided into business travelers and leisure travelers. The purpose of this study is to explore the difference of recommendation behaviors according to the types of leisure travelers. In other words, based on the review and evaluation data reported after using airline service, we examined the moderating effect of the type of leisure traveler between in-flight service and the recommendation. The results are as follows. First, the recommendation level varied according to the types of leisure travelers. In other words, leisure travelers who travel alone, such as backpackers, are more likely to recommend than other types of leisure travelers. Second, the influences of in-flight service on customer recommendation were influenced by leisure traveler type. In other words, depending on whether it is a leisure traveler traveling alone, a leisure traveler traveling with a family member or a couple, the effect of service on recommendation was difference. Third, moderating effects did not appear in all types of leisure travelers. Therefore, airline can improve positive recommendation by varying service effort according to leisure traveler type. 항공사 이용고객들은 크게 비즈니스 여행자와 레저여행자로 구분될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 이용객 수에 차이가 많은 레저여행자에 초점을 두고 레저여행자의 유형에 따른 추천행동의 차이를 살펴보았다. 즉, 항공사 이용 후 보고 된 고객들의 평가 자료를 바탕으로 기내서비스와 추천의 관계에 있어 레저여행자 유형에 따른 조절효과를 살펴보았다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 추천정도는 레저여행자 유형에 따라 다르게 나타났다. 즉, 배낭여행과 같이 혼자 여행하는 레저여행자의 경우가 다른 유형의 레저여행자 보다 추천을 하고자 하는 의도가 더 높았다. 둘째, 기내서비스가 고객추천에 미치는 영향에 있어 레저여행자 유형에 따른 조절효과가 나타났다. 즉, 혼자 여행하는 레저여행자와 가족이나 커플과 함께 여행하는 레저여행자인지에 따라, 또한 혼자 여행하는 레저여행자와 가족레저여행자인지에 따라 서비스가 미치는 추천에의 영향에 있어서 레저여행자 유형으로 인한 영향력의 차이가 나타났다. 셋째, 조절적 영향은 모든 레저여행자 유형에서 나타나지는 않았다. 따라서 항공사는 레저여행자 유형에 따른 서비스 노력을 달리하여야 긍정적인 추천을 향상시킬 수 있다.

The title of this thesis is “Legal Matters in Connection with the Protection of the Traveler”. Travel is one of the best holiday events as the economy grows and people get more spare time nowadays. Overseas tourists have been increasing specially since the abolition of the partial restriction on overseas travel in 1989. Travel is divided into two types. One is individual travel, the other package travel. In individual one, a traveler makes a plan and decides the way of transport on his own. On the other hand, in package one, a travel agency makes schedules and plans, carries out programs under its responsibility. The latter, called pauschalreise in German, is more popular these days. A travel agency works for the convenience of people by doing any complicated things for travel. It has promoted people's travel activities leading to mass tourism. However the package travel occurs many problems with the relationship between travel agencies and travelers. Foreign countries normally have laws on travel contract and some other systems to solve the problems occurred. But unfortunately Korea doesn’t have any directly related law. Therefore, I examined about Legal Character of travel contract and suggested especially the problems and improvements in connection with Civil Law Reform Bill. 최근에 생활수준의 향상과 더불어 여가선용의 방법으로 여행이 증가하고 있다. 특히 1989년 해외여행과 관련한 부분적인 제한이 폐지된 이후에 국외여행은 더욱 증가하고 있는 실정이다. 일반적으로 여행의 형태는 두 가지로 구별될 수 있다. 하나는 개별여행이고 다른 하나는 패키지여행이다. 전자는 여행자가 직접 여행계획과 운송수단 등을 마련하여야 되지만, 후자의 경우에는 여행주최자가 자신의 책임하에 여행을 기획하고 여행프로그램을 실행하게 된다는 점에서 차이가 있다. 최근에는 후자와 같은 여행형태가 일반적인 모습인데, 이를 독일에서는 총괄여행이라고 한다. 패키지여행의 경우에는 여행의 대중화에 상당한 기여를 하였다고 볼 수 있다. 특히 패키지여행의 경우에 여행주최자는 여행을 실행하면서 여행자에게 다양한 편의를 제공하게 되는데, 이 과정에서 여행자와 여행주최자 사이에 다양한 법적 문제가 발생하고 있다. 특히 외국의 경우에는 증가하는 여행분쟁을 해결할 목적으로 다양한 제도적 장치를 마련하고 있다. 그런데 우리나라의 경우에는 여행계약과 관련한 규율방식이 미흡한 실정이라고 볼 수 있다. 이러한 이유에서 본고는 여행계약의 법적 성질을 포함하여 최근에 입법예고 된 민법개정안을 중심으로 문제점과 그 개선방향에 대하여 검토하였다.

이 논문의 목적은, 증가하고 있는 여행사고에 관하여 여행주최자가 부담하는 주의의무에 관한 이론을 정립함으로써, 여행사고의 발생을 줄이기 위한 기초적인 이론을 제공함과 동시에, 여행자에게 보다 안전한 여행을 제공하려는 것이다. 이를 위하여 여행주최자에게 여행자에 대한 주의의무로서 안전확보의무를 부담시킬 필요성을 인정함과 동시에, 그에 관한 일반적인 법리 및 구체적인 내용에 관해 견해를 제시하였다. 안전확보의무의 법리 : 여행자의 안전을 확보하기 위하여 여행주최자에게 인정되는 의무는 계약관계에서 신의칙상 인정되는 부수의무로서, 종래부터 인정되어 온 안전배려의무에 기초한 것이라고 할 수 있다. 그러나 여행자가 여행을 하는 과정에서 사고를 당할 위험성이 매우 높은 점, 여행주최자는 여행의 목적지의 자연적인 또는 사회적인 조건에 관해 전문적인 지식을 가지고 있음과 동시에 여행에 필요한 운송수단이나 수박시설 등에 관해 전문적인 경험을 가지고 있다는 점, 여행계약의 구체적인 내용은 여행주최자가 일방적으로 정하여 여행자에게 제공하는 것이 통상적이라는 점, 특히 국외여행에서 사고가 발생한 경우에 구조나 구제가 어렵다는 점 등을 고려하여, 여행주최자가 부담하는 주의의무는 일반적인 안전배려의무보다 고도의 주의의무라고 하여야 한다고 판단하였다. 따라서, 여행주최자가 부담하는 주의의무를 전통적으로 인정되어 온 안전배려의무와 구별하여 안전확보의무라고 부르기로 하였다. 여행주최자에게 안전확보의무를 인정하게 되면, 여행주최자가 여행자에게 제공하여야 할 안전성의 기준을 정립할 수 있고, 여행주최자의 주의의무의 범위를 확정하는 기준도 제시할 수 있으며, 여행자가 손해배상청구를 하는데 있어서 유용한 도구의 역할을 할 수 있게 된다는 점을 강조하였다. 안전확보의무의 내용 : 여행주최자가 부담하는 안전확보의무의 범위를 확정하기 위하여 안전확보의무의 구체적인 내용에 관하여 논하였다. 이를 위하여, 여행일정을 수립하는데 있어서 여행자의 안전성을 우선적으로 고려하여야 한다는 점, 현지에서 여행에 관한 용역을 제공하는 개별용역제공자를 선정하는데 있어서의 여행자의 보호를 위하여 적절한 자를 선정하여야 한다는 점, 여행계약을 체결함에 있어서 여행자에게 여행사고의 발생의 가능성에 관한 상세한 정보를 제공할 필요성이 있다는 점, 여행을 하는 과정에서 사고발생의 위험이 구체적으로 발생한 경우에 이에 대처하기 위해 적절한 조치를 하는 등 사고의 방지를 위하여 여행일정을 적절하게 관리하여야 한다는 점 등에 관하여 상세하게 검토하였다. 이러한 검토를 통하여, 여행자의 안전을 위해 여행주최자가 취하여야 할 행위의 구체적인 기준을 제시하려고 노력하였다. 또한, 여행주최자가 취하여야 할 행위의 구체적인 기준을 제시함으로써, 여행주최자의 여행사고에 대한 책임을 더욱 엄격히 할 수 있다고 판단하였다. The purpose of this thesis aims at the primary theories to provide the safe travel for the traveler and to reduce the travel accidents. To provide the safe travel to the traveler and to reduce the travel accidents, the travel operator is bound to do the duty to ensure the safety of the traveler. The author of this thesis presents his opinions about the general theories and the concrete contents of the travel operator’s duty to ensure the safety of traveler. The travel operator’s duty to ensure the safety is the incidental duty from the principle of rust and good faith in the contract relation. The travel operator’s duty to ensure the safety is recognized from the facts that the accident danger is high in the travel, that the travel operator has the expert knowledge and experience, and that the accident occurred in a foreign country is difficult to rescue or to relieve. The travel operator’s duty to ensure the safety can furnish the standards about the safety to be presented form the travel operator and the range of the travel operator’s duty. The travel operator’s duty to ensure the safety can play a useful role in the traveler’s claim for damages, too. The concrete contents of the travel operator’s duty to ensure the safety need to be discussed in order to decide upon the range of the travel operator’s duty. The concrete contents of the travel operator’s duty to ensure the safety includes the consideration of safety of the traveler in the establishment of travel program, the consideration of appropriateness in the employment of guide for the travel, the offer of information about the accident danger in the travel, and the management of travel program in the execution of travel schedule. The concrete contents of the travel operator’s duty to ensure the safety become the concrete standards of travel operator’s act for the safety of traveler. The concrete contents of the travel operator’s duty to ensure the safety can contribute to make the travel operator’s duty strict, too.

This study was to examine the travel behavior patterns of Japanese free independent travelers in Busan, Korea. 332 sample from the secondary data of '2008 Busan Foreign Tourists Survey' was used for empirical analyses. Results indicated that the Japanese free independent travelers had more diverse travel purposes compared to the most package travelers. In addition, the Japanese free independent travel was likely to have previous visits to Busan. In terms of tourism information source, the Japanese free independent travelers were tended to heavily rely on the word of mouth from their friends, families, and colleagues. While package travelers mostly relied on travel agents, internet also appeared to be an important information source for the Japanese free independent travelers, Based on the findings of this study, practical implications and suggestions for the future research were also addressed.
조선후기 변산반도 유람록의 관광학적 고찰- 소승규 유봉래산일기를 중심으로 -

This research was conducted to find tourism and related material through the existing manuscripts of the travelers’ journals that was written by the Confucian scholars(sadaebu in Korean). I think that can be beyond the basis of the achievement of neighboring academic studies, such as literature and cultural history, the category could also be expanded to one area of tourism research. Traveler's Journals about mountain and river left by ancestors can be utilized as useful resources to keep track of the tourism phenomenon at that time. For this point of view, I selected travelers’ journals that were written based on regional resources, conducted research that classify tourist’s behavior. It was intended to discover regional characteristic contents through penetrate frame past and present within category of the tourism history. Byeonsan-peninsular in Buan Jeollabuk-do was designated as a national park in 1988, already it has been visited by lots of classical tourist before. Several traveler’s journal that written by them are remain until these days. Among the old travelers’ journals, 「Traveler's Diary of Mt. Bongrae」, which was written by 'So Sueng-gyu' in late nineteenth century, is selected to me as a core material for this research. The depictions of this is written in a very detailed manner, which provides the diversity in the journey, and in the behavioral patterns of the tour. To ensure maximum detail of the original materials, the analysis results were subdivided into travel motives, number of companions, travel period, travel routes, schedule, lodging, food, local customs, and tourism resources. The results of the study are expected to serve as the basis for further research, such as creating storytelling and developing tourism courses that are applicable to tour sites. 인문관광 소재를 발굴하기 위해 현전하는 사대부들의 유람록을 집중적으로 탐색하였다. 그동안 문헌사나 문화사 등 인접학문에서 이뤄낸 연구성과의 토대를 넘어, 관광학 연구의 한 영역으로 그 범주가 확대될 수 있다고 판단하였다. 선인들이 남긴 산수유람록은 당시의 관광현상을 파악하는 데 유용한 자료로 활용할 수 있다. 이런 관점에서 지역자원을 소재로 하는 유람록을 선정하여, 관광자 행동유형을 분류하는 연구를 진행하였다. 이는 관광사의 범주 안에서, 과거와 현재를 관통하는 지역특성 콘텐츠 발굴의 계기로 삼기 위함이다. 전라북도 부안 변산은 1988년 국립공원으로 지정되기 이전에도 수많은 선인 유람객들이 찾아들었던 곳으로 몇몇 기록물이 남아있다. 그중에서 19C말 소승규의 「유봉래산일기(遊蓬萊山日記)」를 핵심 연구자료로 선정하였다. 여정에 대한 기술(記述)이 구체적이어서, 이동경로와 행동양태의 다양성을 확인할 수 있었기 때문이다. 원 자료의 구체성이 최대한 담기게 하기 위해, 관광동기·동반인원·여행기간·동선과 일정·숙박과 음식·지역풍습·관광자원 등으로 세분화한 분석결과를 완성하였다. 본 연구의 성과가 관광현장에 적용 가능한 스토리텔링 구축 및 관광코스 개발 등 실용화 후속연구의 기초자료로 활용되길 기대한다.
공항의 자동화기술과 편의시설이 공항이용만족에 미치는 영향분석

Air travel volume is continuous growth trend. With the increase in the volume, the air transportation industry-Airlines and Airports-is undergoing a period of rapid evolution. Especially airport service providers are increasingly trying to improve users' experience through airport self-service technologies and support technologies. The purpose of this study is to identify the impact of airport self-service technologies and support technologies on traveller satisfaction. This study used AMOS ver 18.0 for analyzing hypotheses. To provide a detailed picture of results and to test hypotheses comprehensibly, split calculations in a step-by-step analysis. The findings suggest a positive relationship between airport self-service technologies and travelers' confidence benefits. Also suggest a positive relationship between airport support technologies and travelers' enjoyment during staying in airport. And results in positive effects on travelers' overall satisfaction. Add to above model, this study examines direct relationship between airport self-service, airport support technologies and travelers' satisfaction. The results are airport support technologies on traveler satisfaction was supported but airport self-service technologies on traveler satisfaction was rejected.

The purpose of this study was to make out the solo travel behavior paradigm of female travelers by examining the roles of different types of travel constraints that arise in the process of making travel decisions. Specifically, structural constraints, interpersonal constraints, and intrapersonal constraints were proposed as three negative factors that hinder female travelers’ solo travel. Results showed that interpersonal constraints negatively affect attitudes toward solo travel and travel intention. Intrapersonal constraints had a negative influence only on attitude toward solo travel, while structural constraints had no impact on both attitude toward solo travel and travel intention. The moderating role of cultural distance on the proposed relationships was also tested for more practical information. Results found that interpersonal constraints affect both attitude and intention to travel solo at high cultural distance, while structural constraints significantly impact solo travel intention at low cultural distance. Based on the relative importance of some constraints, various marketing strategies and directions were discussed.
