        유형별 주중 여가통행의 영향요인에 관한 연구

        It is estimated that casual weekday leisure travel is affected by the characteristics of the neighborhood environments around residential areas, which are the foundations of urban functions and spatial structures. This study analyzed the relationships between the characteristics of neighborhood environments and the weekday leisure travel patterns of homemakers, students, and the unemployed, who are the major participants in weekday leisure travel. First, the study classified weekday leisure travel by purpose into shopping, leisure, and dining out. Subsequently, a linear regression analysis was conducted to identify the relationships between the distance of these trips by type, each individual, household characteristics of each starting point (residential areas), location, and travel and land use characteristics. The results showed that among the characteristics of neighborhood environments, the common factors that affected all types of travel were gender and type of residence within individual and household characteristics, and primary means of transportation within location and travel characteristics. Further, the results revealed that within the scope of the neighborhood centered on residential areas, women engaged in more weekday leisure travel, usually via walking. Moreover, from among the land use characteristics, the total area of commercial facilities affected travel for shopping. Conversely, land use mix index (LUM) did not affect any type of weekday leisure travel. Within the context of each neighborhood, this study identified that the supply of single-use facilities affected weekday leisure travel.

        해외여행목적지별 여행상품의 선택속성과 여행객특성

        This study was designed to identify the selection attributes of travel product and the travelers` characteristics in accordance with oversea`s travel destinations. A total of 27 selection attributes were identified and 7 travelers` characteristics(gender, age, education, income, occupation, social status, and marage state) used. Oversea`s travel destinations were divided into 7 regions(South Pacific, Southeast Asia, Europe, the Americas, Japan, China, and India). By cluster analysis 5 groups were gained, by frequency analysis the travelers` characteristics of each group were identified and by ANOVA each group`s selection attributes of travel product were compared with the others`. According to the results of analysis, travel product development strategies for 7 oversea`s travel destinations were suggested.

        여행 활동에 따른 해외여행 시장세분화 연구

        일과 생활의 균형을 중시하는 사회적 분위기가 형성됨에 따라 해외여행 수요가 꾸준히 증대하였다. 최근 팬데믹의 영향으로 여행, 관광업계는 위기에 처했으나, 어린 시절부터 해외여행을 경험하여 여행이 일상화된 20대가 핵심 소비층으로 부상하고 정부가 강력한 지원 정책을 실천할 것으로 예상되어 중장기적으로 성장세가 회복될 것으로 전망된다. 다변화하는 시장에서 새로운 기회를 찾고 위기에 대처하기 위해서는 시장의 구조적 특성에 대한 명확한 이해가 필수적이다. 그러나 기존의 여행시장 세분화 연구는 국내여행을 중심으로 이루어진 경향이 있어 해외여행 시장을 분류하는 시도는 상대적으로 부족한 상황이다. 본 연구는 「2019 국민여행조사」 자료를 사용하여 여행 활동을 중심으로 해외여행 시장을 세분화하고자 하였다. 탐색적 요인분석 결과, 해외여행 활동은 쇼핑·음식, 오락·유흥, 역사·종교, 스포츠·축제, 자연·휴식의 5개의 요인으로 분류되었다. 다음으로 여행 활동 요인을 기준으로 해외여행 시장에 대한 군집분석을 실시하였으며, 오락형, 탐방형, 휴식형, 도심형의 4개 군집으로 분류될 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 4개 군집은 여행 및 인구통계학적 특성에서 유의한 차이를 지닌 것으로 분석되었다. 위락시설, 테마파크 등의 방문을 즐기는 오락형은 고소득, 청장년층 비중이 크고 인터넷 사이트를 통해 여행 정보를 확보하고 여행 만족도, 재방문 의향이 높은 특성을 보였다. 탐방형 집단은 유명 관광지, 종교적 장소방문을 선호하고 여행사 의존도가 높으며 친목단체와 동행하는 비중이 큰 것으로 분석되었다. 자연과 풍경감상이 주 활동인 휴식형은 노년층 비중이 크고 여행 정보를 주변인으로부터 획득하는 비중이 큰 특징을 보이며, 상대적으로 낮은 여행 만족도를 보였다. 마지막으로 쇼핑, 음식관광을 즐기는 도심형은 미혼, 젊은층 비중이 큰 편이며 과거 여행 경험을 바탕으로 새로운 여행을 계획하는 성향이 상대적으로 큰 집단으로 분석되었다. 본 연구는 여행 활동이 여행시장 세분화에 효과적인 변수라는 점을 확인함으로 관련 연구의 발전에 기여하고, 여행 관련 기업이 세분시장에 맞춤화된 마케팅 전략을 구상하는 데 도움이 되는 정보를 제공한다는 점에서 의의를 지닌다. 마지막으로 해외여행 시장세분화와 관련된 후속 연구의 방향을 제시하였다. The demand for overseas travel has steadily increased with formation of social atmosphere emphasizing work-life balance. Although the travel industry is in crisis due to the recent pandemic, the growth is expected to recover as 20s and 30s, who have experienced overseas travel since childhood, emerge as key consumers and the government implements strong support policies. To seek opportunities and cope with crises in a diversifying market, understanding of the market structure is essential. However, existing travel market segmentation studies tend to focus on domestic travel, so attempts to classify the overseas travel market are relatively insufficient. This study aimed to segment the overseas travel market based on travel activities using the 2019 National Travel Survey data. Exploratory factor analysis was conducted and overseas travel activities were classified into five factors: shopping·food, entertainment, historical·religion, sports·festivals, and relaxation. Next, a cluster analysis confirmed that the market can be classified into four clusters: entertainment, sightseeing, relaxation, and city tour. The four clusters were analyzed to have significant differences in travel and demographic characteristics. Entertainment segment, who enjoyed amusement facilities or theme parks, tend to be high-incomers and young adults, secure travel information through internet sites and showed high travel satisfaction and re-visit intention. Sightseeing segment preferred to visit famous tourist destinations and religious places accompanying social groups, and showed a high dependence on travel agencies. Relaxation segment, who enjoy nature and scenery, showed a large proportion of the elderly who tend to seek travel information from people around them. City tour segment, who enjoy shopping and food tourism, tend to be unmarried and young, and to plan a new trip based on past travel experiences. This study contributes to the development of related research confirming travel activity as an effective variable for segmentation, and provides information for travel-related companies to customize marketing strategies. Finally, directions for future studies related to overseas travel market segmentation are presented.

        고령자의 통행특성과 통행행테에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study is to analyze the elderly's travel behavior and to measure the factors affecting their travel mode choice. Questionnaire survey was conducted for this study. For this study, 720 samples were gathered from Daegu City, especially for the people over 50 years old. It is assumed that the elderly is over 65 years old for this study. This study uses descriptive statistic analysis and logit analysis with LIMDEP software. The major results of this study are as follows: (1) Because driving alone is very expensive travel mode, bus is considered as main travel mode for the elderly over 65 years old. Because the elderly is comparatively sensitive with travel cost, they have a propensity to choose cheaper travel mode. Owing to weakened physical health and economic ability, it is difficult for the elderly to own and drive automobile. (2) The friendship, recreation, and medical treatment are significant travel purpose. It was showed that the elderly's travel pattern is irregular. (3) Going up and down of stairs are the most important restriction for the elderly's travel. (4) Automobile ownership of the individual(or family), access cost to mode, egress time to final destination are found to be important factors affecting on choosing travel mode for the elderly over 65 years old. (5) Travel cost is found to be important in understanding inter-personal variations in mode choice behavior of the elderly. However, travel time is found to be less important factor in choosing travel mode.

        한국을 방문한 중국관광객의 특성이 관광동기와 관광만족에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of Chinese tourist characteristics on the tourist motivations and satisfaction in Korea. 239 of 300 questionnaires were collected and used for this study. All collected data were analyzed by frequency analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, factor analysis, and multi-regression analysis. The findings from data analysis were summarized as follows:First, there were significant differences in ‘marital status’ of demographic characteristics for tourist motivations. Second, there were no significant differences in terms of demographic characteristics (gender, age, academic level, occupation, monthly income, and marital status) for the tourist satisfaction. Third, there were significant difference in ‘travel partner’ of travel action properties for tourist motivations. Fourth, there was significant difference in ‘period of travel’ of travel action properties for tourist satisfaction. Final finding indicated that the travel motivations (‘cultural motivation’ and ‘rest motivation’) of the tourist who visiting in Korea have a some influence on the tourist satisfaction.

      • A Study of the Determinants of Outbound Travel Expenditure of Malaysian Travelers

        There is a growing trend of Malaysian traveling abroad despite the limited literature available on Malaysian outbound travel and its expenditure patterns. Hence, this paper attempts to study if there is any significant difference in the average expenditure of outbound travelers of different income level, socio-demographic factors and travel related behavior. It also examines the relationship between travelers' expenditure patterns and their income level, and identifies other determinants that influence travel expenditure. There is a significant difference in the average expenditure for different samples of income level, marital status, age group and travel group size. Total travel expenditure, accommodation, food and beverage, transportation, entertainment and recreation and gift expenses are found to have significant positive relationships with income level. There is also a significant relationship documented for gender and marital status with total travel expenditure. Some of these results are consistent with previous findings. The study further discusses its limitations and provides some recommendations for future research.

        여행객의 구매상황 및 여행상품특성에 따른 인지부조화 지각차이에 관한 연구 - 여행비용 및 여행횟수를 중심으로 -

        This study was to investigate if there are any perceived difference of cognitive dissonance for tourists' purchasing characteristics and travel characteristics in travel-making decision process, particularly focused on travel costs and frequence. A total 272 useful data on site survey method was collected and analyzed in SPSS. From the Two-Way ANOVA, it was found out that there were main effects of perceived differences of cognitive dissonance, but there were not moderating effects of perceived differences of cognitive dissonance, particularly based on high/low travel costs. Secondly, in terms of high and low travel frequency group, the results showed that there were perceived difference of cognitive dissonances for purchasing characteristics and travel characteristics. A theorematical and marketing implications was discussed in the conclusion. 본 연구는 관광객의 여행상품 구매의사결정과정에서 발생하는 구매상황적 특성 및 여행상품적 특성에 따라 지각하는 인지부조화정도가 어떠한 차이가 있는지를 알아보고자 하며, 이러한 차이관계가 여행비용 및 여행횟수에 따라 어떻게 달라지는 지를 살펴보고자 한다. 이러한 연구목적에 따른 결과는 첫째, 여행비용 고/저 집단의 분류를 통해 구매상황적 특성과 여행상품적 특성에 따른 인지부조화 지각정도는 유의한 차이를 보였으나 상호작용효과는 없었다. 여행상품의 경우 여행비용에 따른 인지부조화의 지각정도와 영향요인간의 관계는 달라지지 않았다. 둘째 여행횟수 고/저 집단의 분류를 통해 구매상황적 특성과 여행상품적 특성에 따른 인지부조화 지각정도에서는 여행경험이 적은 관광객의 경우는 구매상황적 특성 및 여행상품적 특성 요인에 따라 인지부조화 지각정도가 유의한 차이가 있었으나 여행경험이 많은 관광객의 경우는 구매상황적 특성요인에 따른 인지부조화 지각정도만 유의한 차이를 보였다.

        고령자의 통행행태에 미치는 사회경제적 요인 분석

        Examining the 「Household Travel Survey on Metropolitan」 data, this study set its goal to identify the crucial factors having effects on the elderly travels. To achieve this, we figured out travel characteristics of the elderly by comparison to the non-elderly, then, to analyse the causality amongst the significant indicators for the elderly travel generation―such as travel frequency, travel distance, and travel time, and social-economic factors, designed Ordered Probit Models, an economic model, and Linear Log Models for total travel and on main purposes(business-related and non business-related). It is shown that variables related to the household(the number of househ1`old members, residence, living in a detached house, including the elderly, etc.) and individual(age, sex, driving license, job) are affecting the elderly travels, though, only population density of those related to the land use is statistically significant for business-related travel, not for total travel.
