Vol.11 No.6

Startup teams should be prompt to seize an business opportunity and handle various business problems with which they has not been faced before. This research examines and compares the hypotheses about the processes of communication media usage, knowledge sharing and team agility by the level of task conflict. In order for detailed investigation, each of antecedent was divided into sub-dimensions: communication media usage into synchronous and asynchronous media usage, and knowledge sharing into speed and quantity of knowledge sharing. Team agility, the dependent variable, was proposed as an important success factor of startup teams. The research model describes that the communication media usage affects knowledge sharing and consequently team agility. The differences of media usage and relationships among variables were proposed as the level of task conflict in teams. 230 data points were collected from startup teams under 5 years and statistically processed to test research model and hypotheses. From the total sample analysis, the results indicate that the knowledge sharing speed is positively associated with the quantity, and the knowledge sharing speed and quantity have positive associations with team agility. Both synchronous and asynchronous communication media usage also has significant positive associations with knowledge sharing speed. On the other hand, media usage did not show significant direct association with knowledge sharing quantity. From the group comparisons of task conflict, it was found that the higher task conflict, the higher in media usage, knowledge sharing speed and quantity, and team agility. The process of media usage, knowledge sharing, and team agility were found to be different between the high and low task conflict. From these results, the authors discussed and proposed some implications for startup team leaders.

Low-Voltage and High-Current DC Output Realized by Multiple Power Cells Based on Deadbeat and Automatic Current Sharing Control

Liu, Jinfeng,Zhang, Yu,Wang, Xudong,IU, Herbert Ho-Ching The Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers 2017 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.8 No.1

This paper presents a synchronous generator with a distributed system of multiple parallel three-phase power cells. This generator can immediately output high DC. Each power cell comprises three-phase windings and a three-phase synchronous rectification bridge with a deadbeat control of load power feedforward, which can improve the characteristics of dynamic response and reflect the load variance in real time. Furthermore, each power cell works well independently and modularly using the method of automatic maximum current sharing. The simulation and experimental results for the distributed controller of multiple power cells demonstrate that the deadbeat control method can respond quickly and optimize the quality of the energy. Meanwhile, automatic maximum current sharing can realize the validity of current sharing among power cells.

B Vol.8 No.3

Collaborative computing is an environment that allows participants to share their information synchronously or asynchronously so that they can do their job more effectively and accurately. In the past, collaborative computing has included e-mail, Internet chatting, whiteboard, videoconferencing as well as other Internet application programs. In this paper, we introduce a system in which participants can share their documents and databases through the web for more efficient collaboration. The user can host their web browser across other terminals using URL, Form, Scroll, and Window Size Synchronization. URL Synchronization controls synchronously the movement and direction of Internet browsing while Form Synchronization allows the user to show inputs on the web in real-time. Scroll Synchronization is used to control the scrolling of the web page for sharing the same part in the web browser whereas Window Size Synchronization adjusts the length and width parameters of the web browser.

Vol.22 No.3

There are many problems caused by data sharing between general heterogeneous digital devices due to various interfaces. To solve this problem, this paper proposes heterogeneous data sharing with cloud service and mobile through D2D communication that supports communication between different devices. The proposed technique is used to reduce the load on the server to perform data synchronization. Also, in order to minimize data latency caused by data replication between different devices, a technique to enhance the speed of data writing with copying only the modified parts in the chunk list is adopted and cloud service model integrated with mobile environment is realized in order to minimize the network bandwidth consumed for synchronization for data sharing. Therefore, it is possible to share data in different spaces efficiently with maintaining data integrity and minimizing latency in data.

Research on the Power Sharing Control and Stability of VSGs

Xie, Dong,Zang, Da-Jin,Gao, Peng,Wang, Jun-Jia The Korean Institute of Power Electronics 2017 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.17 No.2

Aiming at the deficiencies of power sharing control performances when a traditional droop control is adopted for microgrid inverters, this paper proposes a microgrid inverter power sharing control strategy based on a virtual synchronous generator. This control method simulates the electromechanical transient characteristics of a synchronous generator in a power system by an ontology algorithm and the control laws of a synchronous generator by control over the speed governor and excitation regulator. As a result, that the microgrid system is able to effectively retain the stability of the voltage and frequency, and the power sharing precision of the microgrid inverter is improved. Based on an analysis of stability of a microgrid system controlled by a virtual synchronous generator, design thoughts are provided for further improvement of the power sharing precision of inverters. The simulation results shows that when the virtual synchronous generator based control strategy was adopted, the power sharing performances of microgrid inverters are improved more obviously than those using the droop control strategy.

Vol.32 No.4

The purpose of this study is to explore how the elements of synchronous online learning emerge in mathematics classroom discourse through an authority lens. To this end, we analyzed synchronous online learning classes for 5th to 6th graders. Elements of synchronous online learning were divided into delivery system, interaction, content, and learners; and data modeling tasks were implemented. Findings indicate that the delivery system has both potential and risk for sharing authority in mathematics classroom discourses, and four types of interactions are formed (or not formed) in a differentiated manner, respectively. In addition, mathematics classroom discourses, such as providing teacher feedback and encouraging students supported students’ shared authority. Further, the content element combined with other elements, was found to influence sharing authority. These findings reveal some aspects that teachers should consider in designing and implementing synchronous online learning for shared authority.

Esterel is an imperative synchronous language well-adapted to control-intensive systems. When an Esterel program is translated to a circuit, the synchronizer of a parallel statement may be executed more than once in a clock; the synchronizer is called schizophrenic. Existing compilers cure the problems of schizophrenic parallel synchronizers using logic duplications. This paper proposes the conditions under which a synchronizer causes no problem in circuits when it is executed more than once in a clock. In addition we design a detection algorithm based on those conditions. Our algorithm detects schizophrenic parallel synchronizers that have to be duplicated in Esterel source codes so that compilers can save the size of synthesized circuits.

Control Method of Self-Frequency Recovery and Active Power Sharing for an Isolated Microgrid Based on VSGs

        Pengxiang Xing,Fan Ma,Chunzheng Tian,Changqing Xu,Lili Wang 대한전기학회 2019 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.14 No.1

The concept of virtual synchronous generator (VSG) is emerging as an attractive solution for renewable energies to enhance the microgrid inertia and damping property by emulating the essential behaviors of conventional synchronous generators. However, in the isolated microgrid based on VSGs, there will be a frequency deviation when the power demand varies because of the droop characteristic of the VSG in active power–frequency regulation. In this paper, a control method for VSGs to implement self-frequency recovery and active power sharing in isolated microgrid is proposed. With this method, the VSGs regulate their power baseline values over multiple iterations through local-feedback of the frequency deviation until the microgrid frequency restores to normal value, and simultaneously share the power demand variation according to the ratio of their power baseline values. Compared to the previous studies, the proposed method can eliminate the output power and frequency oscillations in secondary control, and additionally, reduce the dependence of the microgrid on communication system, which is beneficial to enhance the robustness of the microgrid operation. Simulation results proved the proposed method to be effective.
