        지속가능한 대학 캠퍼스정책 및 플랜과 건축의 적용 특성 -UBC의 캠퍼스플랜과 CIRS 건물을 중심으로-

        캠퍼스플랜은 대학의 공간적 가치와 특성, 정체성을 포함한다. 세계적으로 친환경에 대한 인식이 높아지면서 캠퍼스 정책과 플랜에도 그린캠퍼스 논의와 실행, 인증이 진행되고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 캐나다 UBC의 지속가능한 캠퍼스플랜을 통해 그린캠퍼스 인증제와 별도로 UBC가 추구하는 지속가능한 대학캠퍼스 장책 및 공간, 실천전략으로서 건축적용 사례를 분석한다. 이를 통해 캠퍼스플랜의 지속가능한 방향과 건축의 실천요소들을 도출하고자 한다. 결과, 첫째, 개별 건축물과 전체적인 목표와 부합성이 중요했다. 대학은 지속가능한 캠퍼스를 만들기 위한 목표설정 및 전략적인 실행체계가 필요하다. 둘째, 초기 단계에서 각 분야의 전문가 또는 이해관계자들의 참여형 디자인샤렛을 통한 가이드라인의 설정과 제도적 계획과정이 필요했다. 셋째, 완공 후 건축물의 실시간 에너지 사용량의 비교, 검증 모니터링과 이것의 피드백을 적용하는 선순환 구조체계가 필요했다. 본 연구는 지속가능한 도시의 리빙랩 개념으로서 캠퍼스정책과 플랜이 필요하다는 의도를 갖는다. 또한, 국내 대학의 상황에 부합하는 지속가능성의 목표와 실행방안 수립 모색에 근거가 될 수 있다는 점에서 의미가 있다. University campus plans include urban and spatial values and identities that they emphasize. The purpose of this study is to analyze sustainable campus policy, space, and the application to architectural planning, which UBC in Canada pursues independently from a Green Campus Certificate System. Sustainable directions and architectural components are deduced. The results are as follows: 1) the correspondence between the campus plan"s goal and architectural implementation is the most important. Thus, the university must build a system for the plan"s goal and a strategy to make a sustainable campus. 2) A guideline and system are requested to make many experts in various fields and stakeholders participate in the initial stage through "Design Charrette." 3) A system of virtuous circulation must be built so that feedback can be applied through the real-time comparison and verification of building energy consumption. Another goal of this study is emphasizing the necessity of campus policy and plans based on the "Living Laboratory" concept to make a sustainable city. This study could be meaningful because it supports a basis for triggering the establishment of goals for a sustainable plan and implementation in Korean universities.

        친환경 캠퍼스의 외부공간에 대한 수요자의 선호도 조사

        The purpose of this study is to analysis the preference of the students on the outdoor spaces and the related facilities for creating the sustainable outdoor spaces in university campuses. The survey was conducted of students from three universities located in Jinju-si as the method of the study. Students preferred open spaces and green spaces the most, waterfront spaces the least as the outdoor space in university campus. Survey respondents preferred the spaces providing resting, amenity and communication as the general outdoor spaces. And they preferred the spaces providing functional and aesthetic satisfaction to the occupants as the sustainable outdoor spaces. Local community revitalization is the least responded among the reasons of preferring the outdoor spaces in campus. Students preferred bench, trash can and pergola as the facilities that needed at the outdoor spaces in campus. It seems students prefer the facilities to support their outdoor activities and rest-activities at the outdoor spaces. According to the overall result of the study, there are no significant differences between the preference for the general outdoor spaces and the preference for the sustainable outdoor spaces in campus. However, the study doesn’t clearly state the reason for the result from the preference survey stated above. This limit could be complemented in the later studies.

        대학 캠퍼스의 온실가스 에너지 감축 관리 사례 연구

        Reducing the GHG from universities is essential for not only fulfilling the social accountability of universities but also fostering talents that are environmentally-conscious, amid the demand for responding to climate change. Although there has been the ‘green campus campaign’ by universities, the rate of increase in electricity consumption of Korean universities has reached as much as 4 times as the rate of the national energy consumption in last 10 years. The major objective of this research is to find the effective way and method to be applied to Korean universities in making sustainable campus including reduction of GHG. For this, the advanced cases of Japanese universities were selected and investigated as the target with the features of energy-saving activities and geographic location of each university from the previous study. For more efficient and detailed analysis, we had made the exact pre-survey questionnaire items for in-depth interview. The findings led to the following conclusion. The most urgent task for implementing the green campus activities is to set the way to harmonize bottom-up and top-down approaches, in other words, supplier and consumer perspectives. Thus establishing a multi-sectoral organization including students is regard as the first step to make the active interaction among various members in campus. From the continuous pursuing by this, organization can make the media to communicate easily with the other members of university, can set strong plan and monitoring system to achieve their own goal and objectives, and finally can reach a consensus to persuade the diverse stakeholders to participate in this matter. We expect that outcomes and details of this case study learning from the site in Japan can be utilized for establishing an efficient GHG and energy management system in Korean university also gives us an direction to reinforce the soft-power to make the campus more sustainable ultimately.

        Currently, University campuses have been continually expanding because each university requires students and ever-increasing need of facilities, as the university campuses are experiencing the same problem as that of the horizontal cities. The traditional horizontal campuses seem to be the realization of coexistence with the environment. However, horizontally arranged buildings will result in more environmental degradation and as transfer of students and physical distribution increases, energy consumption is increased. Therefore, the propose of this study is to propose the ecologically designed vertical campus.

        지속가능시대의 조직혁신을 위한 기업 캠퍼스 디자인 트렌드 분석

        최근 글로벌 IT기업들이 조직 혁신을 위해 새로운 사옥을 건축하고 있다. 본 연구는 창의적인 업무환경을 조성하기 위해 많은 투자를 하고 있는 IT 기업의 사례를 통해 오늘날과 같은 지속가능경영의 흐름에서 혁신적인 조직 문화 형성에 기여하는 핵심적인 기업 캠퍼스의 디자인 트렌드를 알아보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구 방법으로 먼저 선행 연구 검토를 통해 지속가능시대의 조직혁신을 위한 핵심 개념으로 자율성, 효율성, 개방성, 지속가능성 등의 4가지 핵심 개념을 추출하였다. 사례분석을 위해 최근 3년 이내 신사옥을 완공했거나 공사에 착수중인 6개 글로벌 IT 기업들을 선정, 기업 캠퍼스를 분석하여 공통적인 공간 요소를 추출한 후, 조직혁신의 4가지 개념과의 연관성 분석을 통해 주요 디자인 트렌드를 도출하였다. 연구 결과, 지속가능시대 조직혁신에 기여하는 IT기업 캠퍼스의 디자인 트렌드는 (i) 유연한 개방형 평면을 기본으로 다양한 업무, 편의 공간을 함께 계획하여 자율성과 효율성을 함께 추구하고 있다. (ii) 캠퍼스내의 이동을 용이하게 하여 효율성을 증진시키고자 하였으며, (iii) 자연과 직간접적으로 소통하는 내부 디자인을 통해 융통성 있는 조직문화를 조성하고자 했다. (iv) 에너지 효율을 높이기 위해 건축 계획 또는 기술설비를 통해 다양한 시도를 하고 있으며, (v) 지역 커뮤니티와 사옥 외부 녹지와 상업시설을 공유를 통해 사회적 측면의 지속가능성을 추구하고 있다. 결론적으로, 글로벌 IT 기업의 캠퍼스는 개방적 디자인을 통한 유연한 조직문화를 기반으로 업무의 효율성과 구성원들의 자율적 참여를 이끌어낼 수 있는 방향으로 계획되었으며, 기업 캠퍼스 외부 환경과 지역 사회와의 지속가능한 공생도 함께 추구하고 있다. Recently, global technology companies are in the process of constructing new company campuses to promote creative office environments. The purpose of this study is to analyze key trends of company campuses that shapes innovative organizational culture in the current era of the sustainability management. Four key concepts of organizational innovation in the current of the sustainability, which include autonomy, efficiency, flexibility and sustainability, were defined after the theoretical reviews of earlier studies. For case studies, new campuses of six global IT companies were analyzed and the correlation between the common spatial features and the four key concepts were determined. As a result, innovational campuses were designed upon open floor plan for flexibility and various types of office spaces and amenity spaces were planned with to ensure autonomy and efficiency. In the second place, efficiency was increased through design that helped moving around within campus easy. Thirdly, interior spaces were designed to commune with nature in order to shape flexible organizational culture. Fourthly, energy efficiency was promoted in various ways of architectural design or engineering technology. Lastly, green spaces and commercial facilities were shared with local communities in pursuit of sustainability. In Conclusion, this study suggests that company campuses designed to improve efficiency of process and paticipation of employees upon flexible culture contribute to innovative organizational culture in the current of the sustainability management.

        연세대학교 삼애 캠퍼스와 삼애교회의 가치

        이 논문은 연세대학교 삼애캠퍼스와 삼애교회의 가치와 의미를 재고찰 하는데 그 목적을 둔다. 세겹줄 사랑의 의미는 오늘날의 상황에서 재해석되어야만 한다. 삼애교회가 삼애정신을 오늘날에 접목할 수 있는 특성을 요약하면 첫째로 삼애교회는 하나님 사랑을 예배로 실현하는 신앙공동체이다. 평신도 리더십이 돋보이는 민주적 협의체로서의 교회위원회를 통해 구성원들은 민주와 협치의 가치를 실현할 수 있게 되며, 하나님 사랑을 일상적으로 사회에서 구현하도록 노력하는 것이다. 둘째로 농촌사랑의 의미는 농촌이라는 지역에 한정되는 것이 아니라, 좀 더 포괄적 의미에서 주변화된 이들에 대한 돌봄과 생명문화 확산으로 포괄적으로 이해될 수 있겠다. 셋째로 삼애 정신이 지향하는 노동사랑은 여러가지 차원으로 확대 재생산 될 수 있는 가치를 지니고 있다. 삼애교회 공동체는 삼애 나눔농장을 통하여서 땀 흘리는 노동과 나눔의 가치를 몸으로 새기고 있으며, 도시인이 잃어버린 자연에 대한 리듬을 회복하고 생태 친화적 교회운동에 동참하는 것이다. 결론적으로 삼애 캠퍼스에 위치한 삼애교회는 교회의 일치와 연합을 향한 대표적 모델로 자리매김할 수 있어야 할 것이며, 하나님, 인간과 자연과의 화해의 장으로서 지속성있게 성장할 책임을 지닌다. The purpose of this paper is to reconsider the meaning of threefold love as professed by the Samae Campus and the Samae Church. Samae is a love of God, love of labor and love of the rural village. The meaning of love in these three layers must be reinterpreted in the context of today’s situation. This article elaborates on how the Samae Church maintains these three meanings. First, the Samae Church is seeking for God’s Love. The lay leadership of the members through the church council has the possibility to be influential. In this way, members can realize democratic and cooperative values in order to practice God’s love in society in daily life. Secondly, the meaning of love of rural village should be reinterpreted and adapted to seeking the life centered spirit and ongoing care of marginalized people. The Samae Church has a mission to convey the good news of God from this precious area to the society and the world. Third, the meaning of love of labor has a value that can be expanded and reproduced in various dimensions. The community of Samae Church carries out the value of physical labor through the Samae Sharing Farm as well as various activities including the eco-friendly Church movement and services that can shape the meaning of sharing to the people of the Global South and to the marginalized people in the region. In conclusion, the Samae Church can be established as a representative model for the ecumenical unity of the church. This spirit should be maintained for sustainability. It should be preserved as a place for training peace and reconciliation through the resurrected Jesus Christ with God, people and nature.

        지속가능발전 이해를 위한 프로젝트 학습의 개념과 의미

        Recently, project activity on environmental education has been overwhelmingly presented that is considered as a key learning & teaching strategy in Korea. This Study finds that Environmental project activity requires consideration of project-based Learning for sustainable development. The purpose of this study is to conduct project-based learning for etc-campus which is focused on sustainable development and to find out the learner’s understanding sustainable development. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, project-based learning for sustainable development is concerned about enhancing learner’s understanding sustainable development. It can be emphasized a viewpoint of sustainable way, a way of educational approach, and a possibility of expanding learner’s experience in dealing with sustainable development. Second, this study showed also a results of application about project-based learning for eco-campus. Twenty three pre-service teachers conducted six different eco-campus projects. It is considered to make the student be able to catch up core knowledge and apply it during the project activity. In conclusion, this research asserts that project-based learning on sustainable development is needed to make students see the knowledge and value of sustainable development. It is considered to advance education for sustainable development as a new teaching & learning strategy.

        대학 그린캠퍼스 정책과 평가기준에 관한 연구

        대학캠퍼스는 여러 개의 건물로 구성된 하나의 소도시이자 막대한 에너지를 사용하며 많은 학생들이 향후 친환경에 대한 인식과 실천방향을 제시할 수 있는 마지막 기회이다. 또 교육시설은 교육이 행해지는 물리적인 공간과 사용자가 동시에 접할 수 있는 건물의 형태라는 점에서 특히 그린캠퍼스는 중요점을 가진다. 본 연구의 목적은 한국의 그린캠퍼스의 정책과 평가기준, 미국의 AASHE의 정책과 국제기구인 UNEP, ISCN-GULF의 그린캠퍼스 평가기준과 항목들을 비교분석하여 한국대학의 그린캠퍼스 조성의 활성화와 그린캠퍼스 인증 시행에 대비한 문제점을 도출하고 정책방향을 제시하는데 있다. 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 한국 그린캠퍼스 평가기준에서 개별 건축물의 경우 현재는 G-SEED에 의존한다. 하지만 인증의 시행을 위해 전체 건축물 총 연면적 대비 G-SEED인증 건축물 연면적의 비율로 평가항목을 마련하여 차등점수를 부여하여야한다. 둘째, 한국의 그린캠퍼스 평가기준은 캠퍼스별 특성을 살릴 수 있도록 전체 평가항목의 수를 늘려서 평가항목과 점수를 신청 캠퍼스의 특성에 부합되게 선택할 수 있도록 개선되어야 한다. 셋째, STARS의 비교에도 나타나듯이 한국은 다른 친환경 건축물 인증과의 차별화를 위해 그린캠퍼스의 교육부문 평가영역에서 대학의 지속가능한 교육과정개발의 피드백이나 결과물의 관리와 이에 대한 명확한 보상을 보장하는 평가항목이 필요하다. In Korea, sustainability is mandatory in every field. University campuses are educational facilities that consume considerable amounts of energy. Therefore, many universities have tried to take advantage of the last opportunity to prepare students with sustainability and leadership. This study compared the green campus policy and evaluation criteria among Korea, US AASHE, UNEP, and ISCN-GULF to vitalize the green campus movement and suggest recent research data for the Korea green campus accreditation. The results are as follows: 1. new evaluation criteria need to be added to the certified green building total floor area ratio instead of adapting the G-SEED system in the Campus Resource & Environments category; 2. Korean Green Campus Evaluations need to be improved when expressing the campus individuality by choosing an increased number of credits and criteria; and 3. new evaluation criteria are required to secure the result, feedback, and products from curriculum updates in the Campus Education category.

        지속가능한 캠퍼스를 위한 디자인 개입 제언 -A대학 미화원-대학원생의 쓰레기 문제 인식 차이를 중심으로-

        Despite the importance of Sustainable development, the campus waste problem has become serious. Campaigns and design interventions have been conducted at different levels, but the sustanability of design is questionable. In order to reduce the input of additional resources and increase the sustainability, it is desirable to induce sustainable behavior of members. Sustainable behaviors of students, major actors in campus waste problems, would help to solve the problems. In addition, given that campus waste problems are characterized as a wicked problem, students and cleaning staff are needed to examine both stakeholders in the problem. Therefore, in this study, we first reviewed the literature on previous intervention cases. Next, we chose a particular case of S building, A university in Seoul, and conducted interviews and surveys on 6 graduate students, and 6 cleaning staff of the building. As a result, it was discovered that there are significant differences in attitudes, perceptions, and behaviors toward campus waste problems between students and cleaning staff. Accordingly, suggestions for designing interventions to foster sustainable behavior in students are discussed.

        코넬 공과대학의 마스터플랜 사례 분석을 통한 친환경적인 캠퍼스 디자인 전략

        Purpose: This study seeks to explore the future direction of sustainable development of university campus through the masterplan case of Cornell Tech campus on Roosevelt Island, a green campus masterplanned according to the New York City's sustainable development strategy. Method: By analyzing the masterplanning process of Cornell Tech, one of the Ivy League universities and top 10 engineering universities in the US, this study categorizes the environmentally friendly elements of its major buildings, and examines how to plan an environmentally friendly campus masterplan. Futhermore, derived key elements of Cornell Tech’s sustainable features can be introduced when universities in Korea start making their masterplan for the future development. Result: Changes in environmental awareness are essential among the university societies where train a talented young generation to become major players in the future. Also, a long-term preparation for the future global warming will be to learn the eco-friendly lifestyle embedded in their life. The importance of Sustainability Principles of university is explored, and the application and utilization plans of mid- and long-term masterplan strategies of university campuses in Korea are to be explored in the future research.
