We demonstrate a time- and wavelength-division multiplexed passive optical network system employing a vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser array–based optical line terminal transceiver and a tunable bidirectional optical subassembly–based optical network terminal transceiver. A packet error–free operation is achieved after a 40 km single-mode fiber bidirectional transmission. We also discuss an arrayed waveguide grating, a photo detector array based on complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor photonics technologies, and low-cost key devices for deployment in access networks.

전통기 韓 · 中 姓氏制度를 바라보는 두 知識人의 시각

본고는 宋나라 시대 학자인 鄭樵(1104~1162)와 朝鮮시대의 학자인 柳馨遠(1622~1673)의 시각을 통하여 중국 사회의 姓氏制度와 한국 사회의 姓氏制度가 변화하는 과정을 고찰하였다. 韓?中兩國사회의 姓氏制度는 모두 ‘나’와 ‘남’을 구별하는 ‘排他性’을 가지고 계속해서 변화하였다. 하지만 중국의 姓氏制度의 경우 宋나라 이후 籍貫과 함께 姓氏가 칭해지던 관행이 하나의 ‘社會的制度’로서 발전한데 비하여, 한국의 姓氏制度는 世居地와 함께 姓氏를 칭하던 조선후기의 관행은 ‘社會的制度’가 아닌 ‘慣習’으로 지속되었다. This paper examines the characteristics of the surname system in Chinese society and Korean society through two scholars’ viewpoints, that of Zheng Qiao(1104~1162) of the Song dynasty China and Yu Hy?ng W?n(1622~ 1673) of the Chos?n dynasty Korea. The surname system of both societies had continuously developed based on ‘distinguishment’ of ‘ours’ and ‘yours’. However, in the case of the surname system in Chinese society, the custom which used Jiguan and surname together after the Song dynasty changed into one of ‘social system’, whereas the custom of using the name of homeland and surname together after the late Chos?n dynasty did not develop into a social system but was persistently continued by the custom.
