        A Study for the Development of Incheon International Airport in the Post-Corona Era through the Analysis of Big-Data in the News: Using SBSC Frame and Text Mining

        · Research topics: This study proposes the development plan of Incheon International Airport to respond to the post-corona era. News big data related to Incheon International Airport in 2019 before COVID-19 and 2020 after COVID-19 are analyzed and compared using text mining techniques, especially by reinterpreting text analysis results by applying SBSC frame, a management accounting analysis method. · Research background: The COVID-19 crisis has significantly reduced the movement of people at home and abroad, especially the floating population of overseas arrivals and arrivals (Ludvigson et al., 2020). The operation of Incheon International Airport has been hit hard by the near ban on international flights.Fortunately, the transportation of cargo is continuously maintained, but the abnormal situation caused by the Corona incident is a shock to Incheon International Airport. This shock from the COVID-19 crisis is expected to continue for a long time, changing the overall environment as well as people's perceptions (Forsyth et al., 2020). In other words, the aftermath of the COVID-19 shock is expected to remain even after the end of COVID-19. Incheon International Airport should proactively predict these changes in the environment and prepare countermeasures. · Differences from prior research: First, the reliability of the research results was improved by collecting news articles from Incheon International Airport and presenting research results analyzing unstructured text big data in various aspects through keyword analysis and LDA analysis. Second, useful information in terms of management was provided by applying the SBSC frame to the text analysis result and reinterpreting it. · Research method: In this paper, news, which is an unstructured text data, was analyzed using text mining techniques to objectively derive the development plan of the post-COVID-19 era at Incheon International Airport. Significant information was derived by comparing and analyzing the results of airport-related news analysis in 2019 before the COVID-19 outbreak and in 2020 after the COVID-19 outbreak. First, keywords were extracted by the TF-IDF value (Ramos, 2003), and then the main keywords before and after COVID-19 were compared. And through LDA (latent dirichlet allocation) analysis (Tong and Zhang, 2016), major topics before and after COVID-19 were extracted and compared. In addition, the SBSC (sustainability balanced scorecard) frame was applied (Rabbani et al., 2014) to extract and compare key keywords before and after COVID-19 from the perspective of financial, customer, internal process, learning, and growth and social responsibility. · Research results: The analysis results of this study are as follows. First, as a result of keyword analysis by TF-IDF value (Ramos, 2003), words such as services and officials were not emphasized in 2020 compared to 2019, and words such as Corona, Eastar, and New Airport were greatly highlighted. Second, as a result of LDA analysis (Tong and Zhang, 2016), compared to 2019, the airport's efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 after the COVID-19 crisis and the aviation industry recession caused by COVID-19 were emphasized in 2020. And the financial difficulties of Incheon International Airport were also extracted as major topics. Before the COVID-19 crisis, people were interested in cheap flights. For the new airport, the proportion of topics increased in 2020 compared to 2019, the proportion of airlines' management rights increased in 2020 compared to 2019, and the topic of financial difficulties at Incheon International Airport was newly emphasized after the COVID-19 crisis in 2020. Third, as a result of the analysis applying the SBSC frame (Rabbani et al., 2014), the financial perspective increased by 0.5% in 2020 compared to 2019.         인천국제공항의 효율성 평가의 실증 분석

        Incheon International Airport is a gateway to Korea since its opening in 2001. Incheon international airport has posted significant growth in various indices. Passenger and cargo traffic at Incheon International Airport show upward trend since its opening. As well as Incheon International Airport has posted significant growth in various indices maintaining its outstanding status as a hub airport in Northeast Asia, a share of non-aero revenue shows increasing trend since 2007. Revenue which is the most frequent output measure of airport can be divided into aero and non-aero revenues. The objective of this study is to analyze whether there is improvement of operational efficiency and to determine the factors affecting operational efficiency of Incheon International Airport using Technique of Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution method Since Data Envelopment Analysis which is frequently used to analyze effectiveness of infrastructure such as ports and airport gives only absolute measures and distance from the frontier so that it is not easy to measure how good the value relatively is. Revenue and costs are used as performance data for empirical analysis. It is found that there is self-improvement of Incheon International Airport because Korean government stops subsidy to Incheon Airport from 2008. It is found that there is improvement in operational efficiency of Incheon International Airport since its opening 2001. It looks as if there is improvement in aeronautical operation of Incheon International Airport. Also increases in non-aero revenue stimulate total revenue of the airport. However, there is no distinct evidence that there is improvement of operational efficiency of Incheon International Airport in terms of aero-revenue. Finally, it is found that Incheon international airport focuses on effectiveness by expanding business boundary rather than efficiency by increasing internal competitiveness. It is known that major airports in the world including Incheon International Airport try to reduce fees from airline company, cargo company, and passenger to increase traffic volume and competitiveness since there are fierce competition in airport industry, especially in Asia. This may be the reason why aero revenue does not contribute improvement of operational efficiency of Incheon International airport.

        빅데이터를 활용한 국내 대형공항과 해외 대형공항의 이슈 비교분석: 인천국제공항과 도쿄하네다공항을 중심으로

        Currently, as the society and environment change due to the COVID-19 virus, the demand for services by airport users is changing. In the case of Incheon International Airport in Korea, its international competitiveness is lower than that of Haneda Airport, and airport services need to be strengthened to increase its competitiveness. Big data existing in social networks can analyze changing service demand. In this study, the problems of Incheon International Airport and Tokyo International Airport were identified using big data. Frequency analysis, network analysis, centrality analysis, and CONCOR analysis were conducted to visualize the results of big data. As a result of the analysis, Incheon International Airport drew issues such as strengthening COVID-19 quarantine services, expanding logistics service infrastructure, and developing domestic and foreign routes. In the case of Tokyo International Airport, issues such as efficient use, development of international routes, and strengthening the quarantine security system were derived with the expansion of the terminal. Through these results, the problems of Incheon International Airport and the advantages of Tokyo International Airport were combined to derive a strategy to prepare for the increase in domestic airport demand due to the easing of immigration regulations in each country. In future studies, it is necessary to study strategies that can be applied not only to large airports such as Incheon International Airport but also to small and medium-sized airports.

        인천 국제공항의 화물 운영 효율성 및 환경영향 분석 연구

        공항의 운영 효율성 연구는 전통적으로 활발히 수행되고 있으나, 환경으로 인한 영향까지 고려한 연구는 미미한 상황이다. 본연구는 세계 주요 국제공항의 운영 효율성 및 환경적 영향을 분석한 것으로, 각 공항의 운영 현황을 연도별로 평가해보고, 인천국제공항의 관점에서 개선책 및 전략을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 2018년부터 2022년까지 세계 20개 국제 공항을 대상으로 화물부문 연도별 효율성 변화를 분석하고, 공항 운영에 영향을 미치는 다양한 요인을 탐색하였다. 연구 결과, 홍콩 국제공항, 멤피스국제공항, 테드 스티븐스 앵커리지, 루이빌 무함마드 알리 국제공항 등은 최적의 규모 효율성을 지속적으로 유지하는 것으로 나타났다. Covid-19 팬데믹 기간의 변화를 살펴보면 공항 효율성이 전반적으로 하락하다가 2021년부터 점차 회복하는 패턴을 보였다. 인천 국제공항의 규모 효율성은 0.635∼0.762로 상대적으로 낮아 개선이 필요한 상황으로 평가되었다. 한편, 기술적 효율성은 인천국제공항을 포함한 10개 공항에서 최적 수준을 달성하였다. 이어서 환경 영향을 고려하기 위해 공항별 비행기 이착률을 부정산출요인으로 선정하여 분석하였다. 홍콩 국제공항, 테드 스티븐스 앵커리지 국제공항, 루이빌 무함마드 알리 국제공항은 지속적으로높은 효율성을 달성한 반면, 인천 국제공항, 마이애미 국제공항, 로스앤젤레스 국제공항 등은 부정산출요인으로 인해 효율성이 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 환경 오염을 줄이기 위해서는 운행편수를 단순히 늘리는 것보다 효율적으로 스케줄을 편성하는 것이 중요하다는 것을 시사한다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 공항의 효율성 향상을 위한 중요한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. Airports have traditionally been studied for their operational efficiency, but few studies have considered their environmental impact. This study analyzed the operational efficiency and environmental impact of the world’s major international airports, evaluated the operational status of each airport by year, and suggested improvement measures and strategies from the perspective of Incheon International Airport. To this end, this study analyzed the yearly efficiency changes of 20 international airports from 2018 to 2022, and explored various factors affecting airport operations. The result found that Hong Kong International Airport, Memphis International Airport, Ted Stevens Anchorage, and Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport have consistently maintained optimal scale efficiency. When looking at the changes in efficiency during the COVID-19 pandemic, this study found an overall decline in airport efficiency, followed by a gradual recovery in 2021. Incheon International Airport’s scale efficiency ranged from 0.635 to 0.762, which is relatively low and needs improvement. Meanwhile, the technical efficiency of 10 airports, including Incheon International Airport, achieved the optimal level. In order to consider the environmental impact, this study analyzed the landing and take-off of each airport as an undesirable output factor. Hong Kong International Airport, Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, and Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport consistently achieved high efficiency, while Incheon International Airport, Miami International Airport, and Los Angeles International Airport showed a decrease in efficiency due to negative factors. This research suggested that efficient scheduling is more important than simply increasing the number of flights to reduce environmental pollution. The results of this study are expected to serve as an important basis for improving the efficiency of airports in the future.

        인천국제공항 테러방지 대책 연구

        한국은 2001년 3월 29일 인천국제공항을 개항 하였다. 인천국제공항은 시설과여객 수송과 물류 수송에 있어서 세계 일류공항으로 손색이 없다. 세계는 경제교류가 급증하고 그 중심에 공항이 있다. 테러의 목표는 많지만, 공항은 항상 테러의 주요 대상이다. 현대사회의 테러는 불특정 다수에 대한 잔혹한 범죄로 세계는 테러에몸살을 앓고 있고, 한국도 예외는 아니다. 본 논문은 인천공항을 중심으로 연구했다. 연구목적은 인천국제공항의 안전이다. 인천국제공항은 개항하면서 김포국제공항과는 다른 보안검색과 시설경비체제로 대테러활동을 하고 있다. 인천국제공항은 국가기관이 테러예방활동을 하는 것이 아니라 수익자부담원칙에 따라 민간업자가 대테러활동을 하고 있는 것이다. 인천공항은 테러를 막을 수 있을까? 인천국제공항이 활용하는 수익자부담원칙은 안정된 선진국 체제다. 한국은 북한 등이 있어 안전한 나라가 아니어서 안전을 위해 동맹국과 협력 체제를 유지하고 있다. 이것은 한국도 테러로부터 안전하지 않다는 사실이다. 인천국제공항은 밀입국자가 빈번히 들어오고 있다. 그들이 테러범이라면, 인천국제공항은 이미 테러가 발생했을 것이다. 테러의 위험성을 생각해보면, 한국은 수익자부담원칙은 부담이 된다. 연구방법은 세계 테러범죄의 패러다임의 변화와 사례를 중심으로 연구하였다. 사례는 두 가지가 있다. 첫 번째는 직접 공항을 상대로 테러행위를 자행하는 것이고, 또 하나는 공항의 허술한 보안검색과 시설경비를 통과하여 항공기에 탑승한 후 테러의 목적을 달성하는 것이다. 따라서 공항 관련 테러는 궁극적으로 공항 보안검색과 시설경비에 달려 있다. 공항의 테러의 사례를 중심으로 분석해봄으로서 안전한공항체제를 도출해 볼 것이다. 결론은 인천국제공항은 시설경비와 보안검색 체제를 공권력체제로 전환해야 한다는 것이다. 1986년 김포국제공항의 테러의 발생은 모든 체제를 경찰이 담당하도록하였다. 이후에는 한 건의 밀입국 사건이나 테러 등이 발생하지 않았다. 우리는 공항에서 테러를 예방할 수 있는 핵심은 현장 근무자라는 사실을 잊어서는 안 된다. 현대 테러의 양상으로 볼 때, 인천공항의 시설경비와 보안검색은 국가관 있고 공권력이 있는 국가기관이 담당해야 한다고 생각한다. South Korea's Incheon International Airport was opened March 29, 2001. Incheon International Airport is not comparable to world-class airport facilities and passenger transport in the logistics and transport. The world is a rapidly economic exchange and airport at the center. Although the goal of the terrorist is large, the airport is always a prime target of terrorism. Terrorism in contemporary society is confused by the brutal crimes against unspecified, South Korea is no exception. This paper has studied around the Incheon International Airport. The purpose of study is safety of Incheon International Airport. Incheon International Airport and Gimpo International Airport has opened a counter-terrorism activities with other security systems and facilities expenses. Incheon International Airport is not prevent terrorist activities by the country, and that the private contractor prevent counter-terrorism activities, according to the principle of benefit assessment. Can Incheon International Airport prevent terrorism? Principle of benefit assessment to take advantage of the Incheon International Airport is the system stable industrialized countries. The Republic of Korea is not a safe country because of North Korea. Allies have maintained cooperation for safety. This is not the fact that Korea is safe from terrorism. Incheon International Airport is coming in frequently smuggled parties. If they are terrorists, Incheon International Airport will have already occurred terrorism. Think of the dangers of terrorism, South Korea is not right on principle of benefit assessment. Methods were studied around the change of paradigm and cases of the criminal world terrorism. There are two cases. The first is to commit terrorist acts directly against the airport, another one will pass through the lax security and the security guards at the airport to achieve the objectives of terrorism after boarding the aircraft. Therefore the airport-related terrorism is ultimately depend on airport security and facility security. The Case Analysis of Terrorism at the airport saw derive a secure system. The conclusion is Incheon International Airport should switch the system to search facility security guards and public power system. Gimpo International Airport attacks occurred in 1986 was responsible for all this to the police system. After that incident did not occur, such as smuggling or terrorism. Still not too late. The key to prevent terrorism from the airport should not forget the fact that the field workers. In terms of aspects of modern terrorism, Incheon airport facilities and security guards will think it should be handled by national authorities.

        DEA를 활용한 한·중·일 주요 국제공항의 효율성 분석 연구

        In the 21st century, passenger and cargo throughputs at major hub airports in Asia, such as Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Korea and Japan are rapidly increasing. Each of them is fiercely competing to strengthen the position as a hub by expanding infrastructure and improving operational efficiency. Especially, the most remarkable aspect in recent years is the growth of Chinese airports. China's economic growth has played a leading role in the development of the aviation industry. As a result, air traffic in three Northeast Asian countries consisting of Korea, China and Japan is rapidly increasing. Therefore, this study aims to compare and analyze the operational efficiency of 14 major international airports in Northeast Asian countries. The selected 14 major international airports are Incheon International Airport, 9 international airports managed by the China Aviation Administration and 4 international airports regulated by the Japan Airports Ac. The study is conducted employing Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) technique. According to the previous researches, the airport area, runway length and the number of opening routes were selected as input variables. The passenger throughput, cargo throughput and the number of flights were selected as output variables. As results, Incheon International Airport, 6 airports in China and 2 airports in Japan were found to be highly efficient. 5 inefficient airports have been found to require improvements in three areas: passenger throughput, cargo throughput and the number of flights. In particular, PEK Airport in China was named as the most influential airport as the benchmark. Compared to China's PEK airport, Incheon International Airport is inferior in passenger throughput and number of flights. Therefore, it is necessary to establish operational strategies to improve airport management based on the excellent airport infrastructure. 21세기에 들어 싱가폴, 홍콩, 중국, 한국, 일본 등 아시아에 위치한 주요 허브공항들의 여객 및 화물 처리량은 급속하게 증가하 고 있으며, 저마다 인프라 확충 및 운영효율 개선을 통해 허브공항으로서의 입지를 다지기 위해 치열하게 경쟁하고 있다. 특히 최 근에 가장 눈에 띄는 것은 중국 공항의 성장이다. 중국의 경제성장은 항공산업의 발전의 견인 역할을 하였으며, 이로 인해 한・중・ 일로 구성된 동북아 3개국의 항공 처리량이 빠르게 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 따라서 본 연구는 한・중・일에 위치한 주요 공항인 인천국제공항, 중국 항공국에서 통합 관리하는 9개 국제공항, 일본 공항법에서 규정하는 1종 공항인 4개 국제공항을 포함한 총 14 개의 주요 동북아 공항을 대상으로 운영 효율성을 비교·분석해 보고자 한다. 분석은 Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA) 기법을 활 용하여 진행되었으며, 선행연구를 참고하여 투입변수로 공항부지 면적, 활주로 길이, 개통 노선개수가, 산출변수로 여객 처리량, 화물 처리량, 운항 횟수가 각각 선정되었다. 분석결과, 인천국제공항, 중국의 6개 공항, 일본의 2개 공항 효율성이 높은 것으로 나 타났다. 비효율적인 5개 공항은 공통적으로 여객처리량, 화물처리량, 운항 횟수의 3개 부문에서 많은 개선이 필요한 것으로 파악 되었다. 특히 중국 PEK 공항은 이들 비효율적 공항들에게 벤치마커의 역할을 가장 많이 하는 공항으로 지목되었다. 우리나라 인 천국제공항은 중국의 PEK 공항과 비교해 볼 때 여객처리량이나 운항 횟수 등 실적이 다소 못 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 우 수한 공항인프라를 토대로 보다 효율적 운영이 이루어지기 위한 전략을 제시하였다.

        인천국제공항청사 단계별 개발에 따른 사인디자인 개선방안 연구

        Background Incheon International Airport, which opened in 2001, is being developed in four stages by 2023. In 2020, Incheon International Airport is planning to renewal its Incheon International Airport terminal with the opening of 20 years. Effective signing needs to be applied before the renewal business is implemented in earnest. Especially, I would like to propose an efficient plan by studying the design and sign system of guide signs of airports. Method To do this, we first analyze the case of Gimpo and Jeju airports, which are the largest of the domestic airports, and analyze the signatures of the first and second terminals at Incheon International Airport. In addition, I will compare and analyze the case of overseas excellent international airport. For efficient analysis, the target cases will be surveyed directly, the related academic data will be reviewed, and the statistics will be more objectively analyzed. Result A case study of domestic airport sign design and an analysis of Incheon International Airport site were conducted to investigate efficient sign design. However, integrated signage design through the independent sign manual of Incheon International Airport is not applied. In addition, it emphasizes only the characteristics of the airports of the best service in the world as well as domestic, and it shows the problem that the efficient sign design is not applied. Conclusion The Incheon International Airport terminal was largely applied to the 1st and 2nd terminals with different sign designs, color, letter and pictogram. Signature design reflecting integration and independence required changing the sign of Incheon International Airport. And I think it is necessary to apply digital sign system that reflects IT technology actively used in the private sector. It is also expected that this study will be a more efficient project in the Renewal project of Incheon International Airport signing currently in progress. 연구배경 인천국제공항은 2001년 개항하여 2023년까지 4단계에 걸쳐 개발을 진행하고 있다. 내년 2020년 인천국제공항 개항20주년을 맞아 인천국제공항청사 통합사인디자인 리뉴얼을 계획하고 있다. 본 연구는 인천국제공항의 사인디자인 리뉴얼 사업을 시행함에 앞서 보다 효율적인 사인디자인 적용을 위하여 국내외 우수한 국제공항 사인디자인 사례를 비교 연구하고자 한다. 즉 인천국제공항의 단계별 개발에 따른 통합사인디자인의 개선방안을 도출 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법 먼저 국내외 국제공항의 사인디자인 현황과 사례를 사인디자인 요소를 중심으로 비교 검토한다. 국내는 비교적 규모가 큰 인천국제공항, 김포국제공항, 제주국제공항으로 하고자 한다. 국외는 인천국제공항과 유사한 형태의 단계별로 개발된 홍콩국제공항, 싱가포르국제공항, 캐나다토론토국제공항의 사인디자인 사례를 연구하기로 한다. 연구대상지는 연구자가 직접 현장방문 조사 촬영하고, 각 공항 홈페이지 자료를 참고로 한다. 연구결과 국내국제공항 사례를 비교 분석한 결과 각 공항마다 사인의 통일성과 연계성이 미흡하고, 독창성을 보여주지 못하고 있었다. 반면 국외의 경우 공항의 단계별 개발 확장에 따른 변화에 대응한 사인의 적용으로 통일성과 연계성이 있었다. 이는 공항 이용자들에게 안전함과 편리함을 준다. 그리고 싱가포르 창이공항의 경우는 예술적 이미지를 적용한 예술적 사인도 적용되어 랜드마크 사인으로서의 독창성도 보여 주었다. 결론 인천국제공항 터미널은 현재 제1터미널, 제2터미널로 구분된다. 그러나 제1터미널과 제2터미널에 유사하지만 서로 다른 사인디자인이 적용되었다. 즉 사인의 기본요소인 색채, 문자, 픽토그램의 통일성과 연계성이 부족한 문제점이 있었다. 따라서 단계적 개발에 따른 통일성과 연계성을 반영한 인천국제공항의 통합사인디자인시스템 구축의 필요성과 개선방안을 제안하였다. 그리고 시대가 요구하는 IT기술이 반영된 다양한 표현의 디지털 사인 적용도 적극 반영하여야 하다고 생각한다. 본 연구 결과가 인천국제공항 사인디자인 리뉴얼 사업에 활용되어, 국내외 모든 이용객들에게 보다 편리함을 주는 공항으로 거듭나게 되기를 기대한다.

        공항서비스 품질이 이용객 만족도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구: 대구국제공항을 중심으로

        The purpose of this study is to examine the factors of airport service quality and the impact of airport service quality on satisfaction focusing on Daegu international airport. To attain this main purpose, literature research and empirical research were carried out. Data was collected through questionnaire instruments from 300 Daegu international airport users during February 10 to 24, 2010. 295 useful surveys were used for the final statistical analysis. Frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis among SPSS sub programs were used to analyze the nature of data. Research findings can be summarized as follows. First, through the literature review and field survey, 25 items were used for measuring Daegu international airport service quality. Second, factor analysis of the data from the 295 responses identified six categories, such as employees’ service attitude, convenience of main facilities, convenience of subsidiary facilities, promptness of check-in and CIQ process, reliability on safety and security and accessibility to the airport. Third, regression analysis identified that Daegu international airport service quality has significantly impact on overall satisfaction of Daegu international airport users and specially four factors of Daegu international airport service quality(employees’ service attitude, convenience of main facilities, convenience of subsidiary facilities, accessibility to the airport) have been found to have a significant impact on overall satisfaction of airport users.

        COVID-19로 인한 항공모빌리티의 변화와 공항의 재-구성: 인천국제공항을 사례로

        COVID-19 팬데믹 상황으로 국제적 이동이 감소하면서 항공모빌리티는 많은 변화를 경험하였고, 공항의 모빌리티 통제 기능은 한층 강화되었다. 본 연구의 목적은 인천국제공항을 사례로 COVID-19로 인한 항공모빌리티의 변화와 공항공간의 재-구성을 살펴보는 것이다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국가 간 이동의 통제로 국내 국제공항 중 인천국제공항만이 유일하게 국제선을 운항하고 있으며, 관광보다 상용수요 중심의 노선 운영이 두드러졌다. 둘째, COVID-19 상황 속에 인천국제공항은 주요 허브공항과의 연결성을 강화시키고 있으며, 여객보다환적과 물류기능이 강화되고 있다. 셋째, 접촉지대로서 인천국제공항은 바이러스 차단과 검역을 위한 생명안전의공간으로 변모하는 동시에, 안전한 신체를 선별하여 투과시키는 투과적 경계의 지점, 방역·보건·의료 수준에 따라국가별 차별이 작동하는 생명지정학의 공간, 그리고 상위 클래스의 모빌리티가 우선시되는 신-카스트의 공간으로변화하였다. As the international mobility decreased due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the aeromobility experienced many changes and the mobility control function of the airport was further strengthened. The purpose of this study is to examine the changes in aeromobility and the recomposition of airport space due to COVID- 19 as an example of Incheon International Airport. The results of this study are as follows. First, only Incheon International Airport operated international routes among domestic international airports due to the control of international flight movement, and the operation of routes centered on commercial demand was more prominent than tourism. Second, in the COVID-19 situation, Incheon International Airport is strengthening its connectivity with international hub airports and strengthening its transshipment and logistics functions than passengers. Third, Incheon International Airport as a contact zone has been transformed into a space for bio-security through virus blocking and quarantine, and it has become a point of poros boundary that selects and penetrates safe bodies. According to the level of anti-virus, health and medical care, the airport became the space of bio-geopolitics where discrimination by country works, and the airport solidified the space of new-cast where the mobility of the upper class is prioritized.

        한국 국제공항의 서비스품질 평가와 고객만족을 위한 주요서비스 품질요인에 관한 연구

        This study was conducted to identify the differences in service quality between Incheon and Kimpo international airports and critical factors influencing satisfaction of their customers. According to the results of the study, all service quality factors of Incheon international airport except the service factor of geographical location were better than those of Kimpo international airport. However, all service quality factors of the two airports were evaluated inferior to those of American, western European and Japanese international airports. In addition the service quality factors such as response, safety, airport facility and geographical location were found as critical factors influencing satisfaction of the airport customers. The service quality factor of geographical location of Incheon international airport was measured much inferior comparing with other service quality factors. Thus, the results of this study suggest that the Korean government deliberate and benchmark the international airports of western Europe and the USA in determining the geographical location when planning new international airports.
