상지 부하감소 다이나믹 테이핑 기법이 정상인의 어깨 올림 시 어깨뼈 주위근의 근활성도에 미치는 영향

        황천종,김선엽 한국전문물리치료학회 2020 한국전문물리치료학회지 Vol.27 No.2

Background: For performing various movements well, cooperation between the muscles around the scapula and shoulder has been emphasized. Taping has been widely used clinically as a helpful adjunct to other physiotherapy methods for shoulder pathology and dysfunction treatment. Previous studies have evaluated the effect of taping techniques using dynamic tapes on shoulder function and pain. However, no study investigated the electromyographic (EMG) changes in the shoulder muscles.Objects: This study aimed to investigate the effect of the upper limb offload taping tech-nique using a dynamic tape on EMG activities of the upper trapezius (UT), lower trapezius, serratus anterior (SA), and middle deltoid (MD) muscles during scaption plane elevation. Methods: A total of 26 healthy subjects (19.85 ± 6.40 years, male = 20) volunteered to participate in this study. The subjects were instructed to perform scaption elevation with and without dynamic taping on the shoulder. Shoulder elevation strength tests were performed at 100%, 75%, 50%, and 25%, for the maximal isometric contraction force. Results: There were statistically significant interaction effects between the taping application and shoulder scaption elevation force in EMG activities in the UT (p < 0.05) and MD (p < 0.05). EMG activities in the UT showed significant increases in 50%RVC (reference voluntary contraction, p < 0.05) and 25%RVC (p < 0.01). Furthermore, the EMG activity of the SA sig-nificantly increased in 50%RVC (p < 0.01) and 25%RVC (p < 0.01) after dynamic taping. For the MD, the EMG activity level significantly decreased in 100%RVC (p < 0.05).Conclusion: These results indicated that upper limb offload dynamic taping application affects the muscle activities of some shoulder muscles depending on different scaption eleva-tion strength levels. Therefore, we suggest that the upper limb offload dynamic taping can be applied to the shoulders when patients need middle deltoid inhibition or upper trapezius facilitation, such as patients with shoulder impingement syndrome.

Effects of Elastic Taping and Non-elastic Taping on Static Balance Control Ability, Dynamic Balance Control Ability, and Navicular bone Drop in Young Adults

        임종근,이현우,이동엽,홍지헌,유재호,김진섭,김성길 대한물리의학회 2022 대한물리의학회지 Vol.17 No.2

PURPOSE: This study examined the effects of the low dye taping technique on the static and dynamic balancing ability and navicular bone drop when the low dye taping technique was divided into elastic and non-elastic taping. METHODS: The subjects of the study were 31 volunteers without musculoskeletal disorders. The length (L) and anterior (A), posteromedial, and posterolateral values of the arch in the NO (normal eyes open), NC (normal eyes closed), PO (pillow with eyes open), and PC (pillow with close eyes closed) states were evaluated when barefoot and when Kinesio tape and non-elastic tape were applied. The measurements were analyzed using repeated ANOVA and an independent t-test. Post hoc tests were performed using a Fisher’s LSD. RESULTS: A significant difference was found in the arch L and A values using a foot scanner(p < .05). In addition, there was a significant difference in dynamic balance in the three directions (p < .05), and no difference was found in the case of static balance. As a result, non-elastic tape application helps improve the dynamic balance ability and arch of the foot. CONCLUSION: The non-elastic tape technique is helpful for the foot arch function, and there is no difference in the static balance ability between Kinesio tape and non-elastic tape. Nevertheless, non-elastic tape is more helpful for the dynamic balance ability than Kinesio taping.

Comparison of the Immediate Effects of Kinesio Taping on the Dynamic Balance of Stable Ankle and Functional Ankle Instability among Young Adults in Their Twenties: a preliminary study

        ( Ki-jong Kim ),( Ju-Hong Kim ) 대한통합의학회 2022 대한통합의학회지 Vol.10 No.1

Purpose : Kinesio taping applied to the ankle varies, and if the overall ankle is taped as much as possible, several effects, including balance, can be expected, but clinically the cost reduction for intervention is very important. Therefore, this study attempted to find out the optimal way to the effect and cost of kinesio taping on ankle dynamic balance. Methods : The subject of this study was 24 university students in their 20s (male: 13, female: 11), who received sufficient explanation of the purpose and method of the study. The Cumberland ankle instability tool (CAIT) questionnaire was used for the degree of ankle instability of the study subjects. If the subject's CAIT score was 28 points or more, it was classified as a stable ankle, and if the score was 24 points or less, it was classified as functional ankle instability (FAI). In this study, Biodex Balance System® measurement equipment was used to calculate the dynamic balance of study participants. The application of kinesio taping was performed by one physical therapist to attach in the same way, and a method of wrapping the ankle joint was applied in the eight-shaped bandage. Results : The results are as follows in before and after taping of the stable ankle and FAI group. There was no significant difference in the overall, anterior-posterior, and medial-lateral stability index. The comparison is as follows between groups for the differences (post-pre value) in before and after the application of kinesio taping. There were no significant differences between groups in all the overall, anterior-posterior, and medial-lateral stability index. Conclusion : In this study, no significant difference in kinesio taping was found in the dynamic balance of stable ankle and FAI (overall, anterior-posterior, and medial-lateral). It is necessary to continue to study ways to find the maximum effect while minimally attaching them to the application method of ankle kinesio taping.

어깨 전방 불안정성 레슬링 선수의 McConnell테이핑 적용이 상지 동적 안정성 및 어깨 돌림 운동범위에 미치는 영향

        설동일,안근옥 대한운동학회 2016 아시아 운동학 학술지 Vol.18 No.1

[PURPOSE] As athletes who overuse their shoulder joints obtain numerous shoulder injuries, freestyle wrestlers have been reported to sustain the highest rates of shoulder joint injuries. To prevent shoulder injury, increasing upper extremity dynamic stability by inducing reduction of external rotation(ER) range of motion(ROM) and expansion of internal rotation(IR) ROM is considered important. Thus, this study compared shoulder rotation range and upper extremity dynamic stability before and after McConnell taping to demonstrate the effectiveness of McConnell taping application on the shoulder. [METHODS] The subjects of this study included 14 male freestyle wrestlers who have a medical history of shoulder anterior instability(n=8) and no medical history(n=6). McConnell taping was selected as a method of shoulder taping. This study measured IR and ER ROM of the shoulder using a smart phone clinometer application. Upper extremity dynamic stability was evaluated utilizing Y-balance test score. [RESULTS] This study produced the following results: First, composite score of Y-balance test changed significantly dependent on both period and interaction of the test. Second, the IR-ROM test changed significantly dependent upon both period and interaction of the test. Third, there were significant differences in the period and interaction in ER-ROM. However, no significant differences were found between the groups. [CONCLUSIONS] McConnell taping decreased ER-ROM and increased IR ROM by moving the humeral head more posteriorly. It is suggested that McConnell taping has a positive effect on proprioception and neuromuscular control, acting as an important factor to raise upper extremity dynamic stability by increasing mechanical stability through proper support for, and protection of, the humerus and scapula. In conclusion, even wrestlers with a medical history of shoulder injury are expected to prevent shoulder injury by applying McConnell taping, but further study is needed to identify whether or not McConnell taping can deliver the same results in the field.
