        Analysis of the Prediction of Operation Processes based on Mode of Operation for Ships: Applying Delphi method

        The digital transformation of the shipbuilding, shipping, and logistics sectors is predicted to lead to the introduction of autonomous ships and changes in the way ships are operated. The co-existence of various operation forms, such as autonomous operation and remote operation, with the existing operation methods is expected to lead to the transformation of the ship operation process and the emergence of new stakeholders. This paper studies the future ship operation process according to the change in ship operation method, predicts the change in the operating environment of future ships, and derives functional requirements by major tasks and stakeholders. The Delphi technique is applied to construct a ship operation scenario from the planning stage of voyage and cargo transport to the stage of arrival at the final destination port and discharge of cargo, and to predict future work changes by task and actor. Seafarers' activities are expected to be minimised by remote and autonomous operation, and experts in each field are expected to have responsibilities and tasks in different aspects of ship operation.

        원격조종 콘크리트 표면절삭 장비의 프로토타입 개발에 관한 연구

        Concrete surface grinding process is frequently required to provide flatness of hardened surface and adhesion between previously constructed concrete surface and subsequent layers. However, the concrete surface grinding process has a hazardous work condition and the productivity and the quality of the grinding work are easily affected by the skills of the operating labors. Therefore, the development of the remote-controlled and computer-assisted concrete surface grinding machine is required to make non-hazardous work environment for safety of operators and to provide better productivity and quality of the grinding operation. In this study, a prototype of such machine has been developed. Futhermore, thee technology prposed in this study expected to provide applicable knowledge in the area of especially semi-automation of various types of construction machines. 콘크리트 표면의 평탄성 및 부착성을 필요로 하는 공사에서 빈번히 사용되고 있는 콘크리트 표면절삭 작업은 노동집약적인 형태이며, 유해한 작업환경을 보유하고 있다. 또한 생산성과 품질이 장비를 다루는 기능공의 숙련도에 많이 좌우되는 경향이 있다. 그러므로 콘크리트 표면절삭 장비에 대하여 주변 자연환경의 오염을 방지하고 장비 조작자가 위험에 노출되지 않으며 경험 미숙 및 실수로 인한 안전사고 및 부실 및 재시공으로 이어지는 것을 방지하기 위해 조종이 간편하며, 장비조종을 위한 조종자의 각종 의사결정에 대한 지원기능을 가진 원격조종 콘크리트 표면절삭 장비 개발이 요구된다. 본 연구를 통하여 원격조종 콘크리트 표면절삭 장비의 시제품이 개발되었다. 개발된 시제품의 실험 및 성능평가로써 본 연구 개발이 유해한 작업 환경과 노동집약적 특성의 한계를 극복하고 콘크리트 표면절삭 작업의 생산성, 품질, 안전성을 확보할 수 있을 것이고, 더 나아가 개발 요소 기술이 다양한 형태의 건설관련 중장비의 반자동화와 원격조종에 적용될 수 있는 근간이 될 지식기반을 제공할 것으로 기대된다.

        군집 운용을 위한 무인수상정 시스템 개발 및 자율운항 성능시험

        The utilization of USVs continues to increase in the defense field. Thus, various types of USVs and infrastructure technologies have been developed and operated in many countries. However, since the current USV technologies require an individual operation, it is difficult for current vehicles to respond immediately and efficiently to simultaneous surveillance and reconnaissance missions in addition to real-time changes in multiple seas. To overcome these limitations, the need for a swarm of USVs that can simultaneously operate multiple USVs has recently emerged. The final goal of this project is to verify this technology’s performance under realistic conditions by developing artificial intelligence-based swarm mission-planning/autonomous navigation algorithms to operate USVs as a swarm and perform surveillance and combat missions. As a preceding step of the final goal in this study, the USV was developed and verified by installing an algorithm for swarming operations. Two USVs with the same shape were manufactured to confirm swarm operability not only through basic operational performance, but also through real-sea performance tests for autonomous navigation, obstacledetection/avoidance, and fleet maneuver algorithms. We will finally develop ten USVs to verify the USV swarm operation technology. .

        Solid Modeling 기법을 응용한 복합곡면 가공에 있어서 공구간섭 제거

        Compound surface modeling is widely used for die cavities and punches. A compound surface is defined in 3-D space by specifying the topological relationship of several analytic surface elements and a sculptured surface. A constructive solid geometry scheme is employed to model the analytic compound surface. the desired compound surface can be accomplished by specifying topological relationships in terms of boolean relations between primitives and the sculptured surfaces. Additionally, a method is presented for checking and avoiding the tool interference occurred in machining the compound surface. Using this method the interference of concave, convex, and side region can be checked easily and avoided rapidly.

        Classifications of Tubular Surface with L<sub>1</sub>-Pointwise 1-Type Gauss Map in Galilean 3-space 𝔾<sub>3</sub>

        In this manuscript, we handle a tubular surface whose Gauss map G satisfies the equality L<sub>1</sub>G = f(G + C) for the Cheng-Yau operator L<sub>1</sub> in Galilean 3-space 𝔾<sub>3</sub>. We give an example of a tubular surface having L<sub>1</sub>-harmonic Gauss map. Moreover, we obtain a complete classification of tubular surface having L<sub>1</sub>-pointwise 1-type Gauss map of the first kind in 𝔾<sub>3</sub> and we give some visualizations of this type surface.

        Effects of 2-m Air Temperature Assimilation and a New Near-Surface Observation Operator on the NCEP Gridpoint Statistical-Interpolation System

        In this study, we assimilate 2-m air temperature data with the National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) regional Gridpoint Statistical Interpolation (GSI) using the WRF-NMM model forecast as a first guess. Single time analysis experiments are conducted to test the impact of 2-m air temperature data on the analysis system and the results are compared with the control run without using 2-m air temperature data. The effort is focused on understanding the characteristics of observation innovations of the 2-m air temperature data. Modifications to background errors and a simple test of nonlinear quality control are also considered. The incorporation of a comprehensive near-surface observation operator based on Monin-Obukhov similarity theory is described and tested for possible operational use with the NCEP regional GSI system. The results from this new forward operator are compared with those from the existing simple forward operator. According to the results, mesonet 2-m temperature data were found to have a considerable amount of outliers compared with other 2-m temperature data. The nighttime western and central US domains indicated a model warm bias. Stations with large innovations are distributed uniformly in the nighttime western and central domains,while they are mainly located in the large cities in the daytime eastern domain. The statistical analysis of observation innovations showed that introduction of the new forward model can reduce root-mean-square errors in observation increment statistics. The results of a short assimilation experiment indicate that the new forward operator can be employed as a short-term strategy for near-surface data assimilation in the NCEP

        인버스 모델링을 이용한 지표면 이산화탄소 플럭스 추정 향상을 위한 항공기 관측 이산화탄소 자료동화 체계 개발

        In order to monitor greenhouse gases including CO₂, various types of surface-, aircraft-, and satellite-based measurement projects have been conducted. These data help understand the variations of greenhouse gases and are used in atmospheric inverse modeling systems to simulate surface fluxes for greenhouse gases. CarbonTracker is a system for estimating surface CO₂ flux, using an atmospheric inverse modeling method, based on only surface observation data. Because of the insufficient surface observation data available for accurate estimation of the surface CO₂ flux, additional observations would be required. In this study, a system that assimilates aircraft CO₂ measurement data in CarbonTracker (CT2013B) is developed, and the estimated results from this data assimilation system are evaluated. The aircraft CO₂ measurement data used are obtained from the Comprehensive Observation Network for Trace gases by the Airliner (CONTRAIL) project. The developed system includes the preprocessor of the raw observation data, the observation operator, and the ensemble Kalman filter (EnKF) data assimilation process. After preprocessing the raw data, the modeled value corresponding spatially and temporally to each observation is calculated using the observation operator. These modeled values and observations are then averaged in space and time, and used in the EnKF data assimilation process. The modeled values are much closer to the observations and show smaller biases and root-mean-square errors, after the assimilation of the aircraft CO₂ measurement data. This system could also be used to assimilate other aircraft CO2 measurement data in CarbonTracker.

        ❲수술실❳욕창예방 간호 실무지침 현황 및 적용실태 조사

        수술실 욕창 예방을 위한 간호 실무지침 현황 및 적용실태를 조사하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 서울, 인천, 경기 지역의 상급 종합병원 4개와 전문병원 3개를 온라인 무작위화 프로그램을 이용하여 선정하였고 선정된 수술실에서 6개월 이상 근무경력을 가진 수술에 직접 참여하는 간호사를 대상으로 하였다. 자료 수집 기간은 2018년 1월부터 4월까지였고 설문지는 총 150명에게 배부하여 129명에게 회수(회수율 86%)하였다. 수술실 간호사들은 측위 43명(33.3%), 앙와위 37명(28.7%), 복와위 36명(27.9%)이 수술 체위 대상자들에게 욕창예방 간호 경험을 갖고 있고 주로 사용하는 지지표면은 젤 102명(79.1%), 스폰지 62명(48.1%), 솜 47명(36.4%)이었으며 지지표면 사용 전후로 2회(90명, 69.8%) 피부사정을 실시하지만 욕창위험 사정을 위해 특별한 도구를 사용하지 않았고(76명, 58.9%) 지지표면 사용 여부를 결정하는 요인으로 수술 체위(83명,64.3%)를 지지표면 사용 여부를 결정하는 수술 소요 시간은 2시간 이상(49명,38.0%)임을 확인하였다. 수술실 간호사들이 수술 대상자들에게 욕창예방 간호을 위해 주로 사용하는 지지표면이 젤, 스폰지, 솜이었으며 지지표면 사용 여부를 결정하는 요인으로 수술 체위를 지지표면 사용 여부를 결정하는 수술 소요 시간은 2시간 이상임을 확인하였다. This descriptive study examined the practical nursing guidelines for the prevention of pressure injuries (PI) in operating rooms and their application. Method: Four general hospitals and three specialized hospitals located in Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggido province were selected through an online randomization program and nurses at these hospitals who participated in operations and had at least six months work experience were surveyed. Data were collected from January to April 2018 through a survey distributed to 150 nurses, 129 of whom returned the survey (86% recovery rate). The results showed that 43 nurses provided PI prevention care for patients in a lateral position (33.3%), 37 for patients in a supine position (28.7%), and 36 for patients in a prone position (27.9%). Gel was most widely used as the supporting surface material (102 nurses; 79.1%), followed by sponge (62 nurses; 48.1%), and cotton (47 nurses; 36.4%). Skin was often inspected twice, before and after the use of a supporting surface (90nurses; 69.8%), but no designated tool was used to determine the risk of PI developing (76 nurses; 58.9%). Additionally, the patient"s position during surgery (83 nurses; 64.3%) and the length of the operation (i.e., more than two hours, in this case) (49 nurses; 38.0%) were determining factors for whether to use a supporting surface. The operating room nurses used the gel, sponge, and cotton as the supporting surfaces for the prevention of PI and confirmed that the cutoff operation time for the use of a supporting surface was more than 2 hours.

        A Convergence Study on Changes in the Muscle Activity around the Neck of the Operator according to the Patient's Head Angle at the Direct Visual Inspection of the Maxillary Right-side Molar Palatal Surface

        본 연구는 환자 구강내의 상악 우측 대구치 구개면 직접시진 시 환자 머리 각도의 변화에 따른 술자(치과위생사)의 목 주변 근육 활성도의 관련성을 알아보고자 하였다. 술자는 해당부위의 위치와 손고정, 기구 사용에 대한 정확한 이해와 인지를 하고 있는 예비 치과위생사인 치위생학과 4학년 학생들로 표면 근전도, 목 각도계를 이용하여 목 주변 근육 활성도 변화의 자료를 수집하여 SPSS statistics 20을 이용해 Shapiro-wilk 검정, 일원배치 분산분석의 통계처리를 실시하였다. 연구결과 환자 머리의 각도를 주었을 때 각도를 주지 않은 자세 보다 술자의 위등세모근, 목세움근, 어깨올림근 근활성도가 모두 유의하게 감소하였다. 술자의 머리 각도는 환자 머리 각도를 준 자세가 머리 각도를 주지 않은 자세 보다 머리 굽힘은 유의하게 감소하였다. 결과적으로 치아 처치 시 환자 머리 각도의 변화를 주는 것은 술자의 목 주변 근육의 과도한 근활성 도를 줄이고 근육 피로도를 낮출 것으로 예상됨으로 치아 처치 시 환자의 머리 각도 변화의 시행을 추천한다. 이는 잘못된 자세의 반복행위로 인한 근육의 통증도 줄일 수 있을 것이라 사료된다. This study aimed to investigate the association of the muscle activity around the neck of the operator(dental hygienists’) according to the change in the patient’s neck angle during a direct visual inspection on the maxillary right-side molar palatal surface. The operators were 4thyear dental hygiene students, who are future dentalhy gienists, having accurate understanding on and awareness of the location of the operation site, hand fixation, and how to use the tools. Data on the change in the muscle activity around the neck were collected by using surface electromyography and neck goniometer. SPSS statistics 20 was used for statistical analyses including Shapiro-wilk test and one-way ANOVA. As a result, the activities of the operator upper trapezius, cervical erector spinae, and levator scapulae muscles significantly decreased when the patient’s head was angled compared to when it was not. For the angle of the operator head, the head bend significantly decreased when the patient’s head was angled than when it was not. Based on the study results, it is expected that angling the patient’s head when treating his or her teeth will decrease the excessive muscle activity around the neck of the operator, and will reduce muscle fatigue. Therefore, angling the head of the patient while treating his or her teeth is recommended. This suggests that muscle pain caused by repetitive actions in the wrong posture can be reduced.

        자율운항선박의 운용을 위한 법적 검토 - LEG 협약을 중심으로 -

        최근 빅데이터, 인공지능 등 눈부신 기술 발전으로 인해 자율운항선박이 현 실화되고 있으며, 산업계를 중심으로 육상에서 선박을 조종하기 위한 기술 개 발이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 이러한 자율운항선박 도입을 위한 관련 법적 검토 를 통해 국제해사협약의 필요한 개정 및 명확화 작업이 이루어질 수 있도록 함 으로써 향후 자율운항선박이 원활하게 운항될 수 있는 여건 조성에 기여할 수 있을 것이다. 이 논문에서는 11개의 법률위원회 소관협약에 한정하여 연구를 진행하였다. 우선 협약내용별 해당 조항이 자율운항선박 운용에 아무 문제없이 적용되는지, 아니면 적용되려면 개정 및 명확화 등이 필요한지 여부를 검토하 였다. LEG 협약에 대한 규정검토작업 결과, 별도의 작업이 필요하지 않거나, 일부 규정의 경우 통일해석 및 협약의 개정을 통해 자율운항선박의 운용이 가 능한 것으로 판단되었다. LEG 협약 상 도출된 주요 쟁점 사항은 정의 및 용어, 선장의 역할과 책임, 원격운항자의 역할과 책임, 법적책임, 증서, 기타사항으로 정리할 수 있다. 자율화 등급 1단계 및 2단계에서는 선박에 선원이 탑승하기 때문에, 대부분 통일해석의 개발을 통해 자율운항선박에 적용이 가능할 것으로 보인다. 선원이 승선하지 않는 자율화 등급 3단계 및 4단계에서는 현재 협약을 개정하거나 자 율운항선박에 관한 새로운 협약의 제정이 필요할 것이다. 아울러 아직 정립되 지 않은 자율운항선박, 자율화 등급 등에 대한 용어의 정의가 공통적으로 필요 하다. 그리고 선장 등에 대한 명확한 개념 및 역할도 검토가 필요하다. 일반적 으로 선장은 선박소유자를 대신하여, 선박운항 책임자로 그 역할이 상당히 중 요하다고 할 수 있다. 그러나, 자율화 등급 1단계를 제외하고 2단계, 3단계 및 4 단계에서는 선박에 선장이 승선하지 않기에 이러한 전통적인 선장의 역할 및 책임을 명확히 하는 것이 필요할 것이다. 또한, 자율운항선박 도입으로 인해 새 롭게 등장하는 원격운항자의 역할과 책임에 대한 명확화가 필요하다. LEG 협 약의 법적 검토를 통해 원격운항자 관련 부분이 상당 부분 식별되었으며, 원격 운항자의 정의, 개념, 역할 및 책임 등에 대한 부분을 명확하게 할 필요가 있다. 아울러 새로운 자율운항선박의 자율시스템 및 원격조종시스템 등이 출현하게 됨에 따라 제조업자, 시스템 개발자 등에 대한 책임 여부에 대해 명확화가 필 요하다. 그리고 항만국통제 수검을 위해 선내 비치해야 하는 보험증서를 선원 이 승선하지 않는 자율운항선박에 어떻게 처리해야하는 지에 대해 추가적인 통 일해석이나 개정이 필요할 수 있다. Due to the remarkable development of technologies such as big data and artificial intelligence, Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS) are becoming a reality, and the development of technology for remotely operating a ship is being actively carried out in maritime industry. In order to introduce such MASS, the necessary amendment and clarification of the international maritime conventions can be made through the Regulatory Scoping Exercise (RSE), thereby contributing to the creation of conditions for the smooth operation of MASS in the future. In this paper, the research was conducted on 11 instruments under the purview of the Legal Committee (LEG Conventions). First, question on whether the relevant provisions of each convention could be applied without any problem to the MASS operations, or whether any amendment or clarification were necessary was reviewed. As a result, it was identified that no additional work was required, or that, in some cases, the operations of MASS were possible through unified interpretation and amendment of the conventions. The main issues derived from the LEG Conventions can be summarized into definitions and terminology, the role and responsibility of the master, the role and responsibility of the remote operator, legal responsibility, certificates, and other matters. In Degree 1 and Degree 2, since seafarers are on board, it is likely that most of them can be applied to MASS through the development of a unified interpretation. In Degree 3 and Degree 4, in which no seafarers are on board, it is necessary to amend the current conventions or to enact a new instrument on MASS. However, it is necessary to clarify the role and responsibility for newly emerging remote operator or manufacturers of autonomous systems and remote systems. In addition, it seems that definitions of terminology such as MASS and autonomous level are commonly needed and it is necessary to review the clear concept and role of the master, etc. In general, the master is a person responsible for operation of the ship on behalf of the shipowner, and the role can be much important. However, it is necessary to clarify the role and responsibility of these traditional masters, since the master does not board the ship in Degrees 2, 3, and 4. It is necessary to clarify the role and responsibility of new remote operator as well. Through the RSE of the LEG Conventions, the remote operator-related provisions have been identified to a large extent, and it is necessary to clarify the definition, concept, role and responsibility of the remote operator. In addition, as new remote operation systems are introduced, that is, autonomous systems and remote control systems of MASS, it is necessary to clarify whether or not responsibility for manufacturers and system developers is required. In addition, an additional unified interpretation or amendment may be necessary for how to handle the insurance certificate that must be kept on board for the port state control inspection to MASS that does not have seafarers on board.
