        권장도서의 선정 현황에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 우리나라에서 행해지는 권장도서의 선정현황을 살펴보기 위하여 출처가 명확하며 일정한 주기성을 가지고 권장도서를 발표하는 16개 기관을 대상으로 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 인터뷰 결과는 권장도서 목록의 발표, 보급, 구성, 내용, 선정의 항목별로 분류하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과 권장도서의 선정과정은 각 기관의 성격에 따라 특징을 보이고 있었으며 여러 가지 문제점이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 현 권장도서 선정의 문제점을 찾아 체계적인 권장도서 목록의 필요성을 알리며 바람직한 권장도서 목록의 제작 방향을 마련하는 데 의의가 있다. The purpose of this study was to investigate and analyze the current selection status of recommended book listings in mainly South Korea. Their sub-categorized questions as following 1) how is the lists production status. 2) Second, how are the lists circulated and for whom? 3) how are the lists organized? 4) what are the contents of the lists? 5) how are the lists selected? The subjects for this research which were 15 institutions or organizations which published or announced recommended book listings were interviewed. The results from the interviews were analyzed according to different categories for specific purpose. The results for this study are listed as following. First, recommended book lists were found to be released from a various fields of institutions and organizations including schools, publishers, government, bookstores, book rental company, private organizations, and the press. The lists have started to be released since 1968. Specifically, in recent years, the interest for the recommended books have increased significantly and their production as well. The release period of the recommended book lists were varied, however; once a year was the majority case, making 56.25%. Second, the recommended book lists for young children are small portion relatively comparing to them elementary school students. The distribution media of the recommended book lists were varied including physical paper production and internet web sites. Periodic booklet-wise independent volumes were most frequently used. Amount of circulation production volumes were ranged from 1,000 to 60,000. <Hanuri Reading Campaign Center> and <Children`s Book Study Organization> were the top two lists release institutions in terms of the volume quantity. Third, the recommended book lists were found to be organized mainly according to age and literary genre and field, however; details of the organizations were radically different according to each institutions or organizations. Fourth, most of the book lists have contained titles, authors and publishers of the books in common. But book reviews, book selection policies and name of selectors were a few of those items not indicated consistently throughout the listings. Even for the book lists having book reviews, most of them were consisted of only two to four sentences of story summaries and even less or none brief comments on critics or analytical reviews. Lastly, the book list selections were found to be critically more focused on the newly released books. The quantities of selected book items were varied from four to 400 items of books a year. Selectors of the book lists were mainly by a single professional or expert in different area from external of the institution instead of the organized selection committees from internal. In the most cases, specific book selection policies did not even seem to exist, and tended to be vague and not clear. Methods for the book list selection were tending to be different according to the types of selectors.

        지역대표도서관의 추천도서목록의 현황과 과제

        Current Status and Tasks of Recommended Book Lists ofRegional Representative LibrariesDasom Go & Youra Youn Abstract: The purpose of this study is to obtain basic data for discussing future improvement directions and strategies by examining the development process of the Regional representative library's recommended book list and identifying problems occurring in the process. As a research method, a survey and telephone interview on the development process were conducted for the person in charge of the recommended book list at the regional representative library. The questionnaire consisted of the composition status of the recommended book list, the systematic development of the recommended book list, and evaluation of the usefulness and usefulness of the recommended book list. Twelve people responded to the questionnaire, and 4 people had a telephone interview. As a result of the survey, it was found that the book catalog was composed at the discretion of the person in charge due to the lack of systematic standards and support for book recommendation. Although it is predicted that the usefulness and effectiveness of the catalogs provided to users will be high, the development of programs and services using the catalogs was insufficient and the effectiveness verification was not performed properly. In the future, follow-up studies such as a support system that can strengthen the professionalism of book recommendation, a research method to objectively evaluate the usefulness of a book catalog, and effective program development using the catalog are expected to be conducted.         청소년 추천도서의 서지적 특징

        The original role of the recommended book list for youth is to recommend books. and they choose their own favorite books by using the list as a tool. The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of the youth recommended book selection institution and the bibliographical features of recommended books. Currently, there are many selection institutions and selection committees for youth recommended books. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze and categorize the characteristics of the youth recommended book selection institutions and the bibliographical features. Nine institutions were first examined with generality and novelty among them. The “Ministry of Culture Sports and Tourism”, the “Korea Publishers Association” and the “ChaekTaSae3)” were selected to be suitable for the study. Next, the recommended books of selected institutions were extracted with variables such as subject, author-related matters, title-related matters, image-related matters, prices, and readership, and analyzed what bibliographic characteristics through technical statistical analysis, cross-analysis, and one-way distribution analysis. as follows; First, the recommended books greatly differed in the average annual numbers of institutions receiving publisher application and not receiving publisher application. were recommending more books, receiving applications from publishers such as The “Korea Publishing Culture Association”, the “Science Creation Foundation”, “Happy Morning Reading” and the “Ministry of Culture Sports and Tourism” Second, we confirmed that the subject, nationality of author, and readership were significantly related to the selection institutions. “The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism” selected various subjects. On the other hand, “the Korea Publishers Association” and the “ChaekTaSae” were selected in a specific subjects. On the nationality of the author The “Korea Publishers and Culture Association” selected korean authors and “ChaekTaSae” selected overseas authors their relatively high. readership was also related to the selection institutions. “The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism” denoted the highest proportion of liberal arts books. On the other hand, “ChaekTaSae” were highly recommended for youth. Third, there were bibliographic features associated with headings, author-related matters. The headings denoted a meaningful association with the number of headings, font, and size of headings. The many number of letters appeared in areas other than ‘Literature and Art’, using two or more colors in the headings and changing direction and size of the headings. Font was associated with the decorative style “Illust, Youth Book, and Mixed,” while the Gothic style was only associated with the white headings. The Ming-style font was associated with the cultured book and the photograph which is on the cover. The heading size was associated with three variables: ‘font, heading direction, and heading color’. In case of changing the heading size, it was found that “the font is related to decorative, horizontal, and mixed colors.” In case that heading size is single, the proportion of ‘Ming-style font, vertical, and black’ was high. The author-related matters is associated to the subjects. There were many ‘one-author’ in the field of literature and art.

        청소년을 위한 도서관 추천도서 목록의 특징과 개선 방안에 관한 연구

        도서관의 도서 추천은 막연한 요구를 가진 이용자들의 도서 탐색 및 선택을 지원하기 위한 하나의 도구로 활용될 수 있다. 이에 도서관은 이용자들에게 다양한 자료를 소개하고 적합한 도서를 추천하기 위해 많은 시간과 노력을 기울이고 있다. 한편 도서관 이외의 다양한 기관에서도 추천도서 목록을 발간하고 있으며, 이러한 목록에는 추천도서를 선정하는 주체의 의도가 반영된다. 이에 이 연구에서는 도서관의 추천도서 목록이 도서관 이외 기관에서 발간하는 추천도서 목록과 어떤 차이가 있는지 알아보고자 하였다. 그리하여 많은 기관에서 도서 추천의 주요 타겟층으로 삼는 ‘청소년’으로 범위를 한정하여 ① 추천도서의 선정 기준, ② 추천된 도서의 특징, ③ 추천도서 목록의 제공 방식의 측면에서 도서관과 도서관 이외 기관의 추천도서 목록을 상호 비교하였다. 이를 통해 도서관 추천도서 목록이 갖는 특징과 한계를 도출하고, 개선이 필요한 부면에 대해 논의하였다. Book recommendations in libraries can be used as a tool to help users with vague needs browse and select books. Therefore, libraries spend a lot of time and effort to introduce various materials to their users and recommend suitable books. Meanwhile, various organizations other than libraries also publish recommended reading lists, and these lists reflect the intentions of the entity that selects the recommended books. The purpose of this study is finding out how the recommended book lists of libraries differ from the recommended reading lists of non-library organizations. To achieve this, the study limited the scope to ‘teenagers’, who are the main target audience for book recommendations in many organizations, and compared the recommended book lists of libraries and non-library organizations in terms of (1) the selection criteria for recommended books, (2) the characteristics of recommended books, and (3) the way of providing recommended book lists. Through this analysis, the study identified the characteristics and limitations of library recommended book lists and discussed areas for improvement.

        초등학생을 위한 권장도서의 유효성 비교 연구

        이 연구는 권장도서의 학교 간 중복 여부를 실증적으로 분석하고 권장도서가 실제 대출로 이어지는 정도를 통계적으로 분석한 연구이다. 이러한 분석 자료는 권장도서가 활용되고 있는 근거를 기반으로 권장도서가 갖는 유효성을 확인하기 위한 목적이다. 연구 방법으로 18개 초등학교의 권장도서 목록과 그중 13개 초등학교의 대출데이터를 수집하여 학교별 비교 분석을 통해 기초 통계자료를 도출해냈다. 분석 결과 권장도서 목록의 학교별 유사도는 낮게 나타났으며 권장도서는 전체 대출량에 영향을 주었다. 학년별 대출 빈도의 차이를 보였고 모든 학교에서 저학년의 대출 빈도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과는 초등학교 도서관에서 권장도서 활용 정도의 기초 근거자료가 될 것이다. In this study, overlapping recommended books in different schools were positively analyzed and the extent to which the recommended books leading to actual loan was statistically analyzed. The purpose of the study is to confirm the effects of recommended books by analyzing the data and extracting the proofs. For the method of research, eighteen elementary schools’ recommended book lists and thirteen elementary schools’ loan data were collected and compared by schools, by grades in a basic statistical analysis method. The result shows that recommended books similarity was low and recommended books affected the total volume of lend books. Loan frequency by grades showed the difference and in every school, lower grades had high loan frequency. The result of this study will be applied as basic data for applying recommended books in school libraries.

      • Development of the Recommender System of Arabic Books Based on the Content Similarity

        This research article develops an Arabic books' recommendation system, which is based on the content similarity that assists users to search for the right book and predict the appropriate and suitable books pertaining to their literary style. In fact, the system directs its users toward books, which can meet their needs from a large dataset of Information. Further, this system makes its predictions based on a set of data that is gathered from different books and converts it to vectors by using the TF-IDF system. After that, the recommendation algorithms such as the cosine similarity, the sequence matcher similarity, and the semantic similarity aggregate data to produce an efficient and effective recommendation. This approach is advantageous in recommending previously unrated books to users with unique interests. It is found to be proven from the obtained results that the results of the cosine similarity of the full content of books, the results of the sequence matcher similarity of Arabic titles of the books, and the results of the semantic similarity of English titles of the books are the best obtained results, and extremely close to the average of the result related to the human assigned/annotated similarity. Flask web application is developed with a simple interface to show the recommended Arabic books by using cosine similarity, sequence matcher similarity, and semantic similarity algorithms with all experiments that are conducted.

        도서 정보 및 본문 텍스트 통합 마이닝 기반 사용자 맞춤형 도서 큐레이션 시스템

        The content curation service through big data analysis is receiving great attention in various content fields, such as film, game, music, and book. This service recommends personalized contents to the corresponding user based on user"s preferences. The existing book curation systems recommended books to users by using bibliographic citation, user profile or user log data. However, these systems are difficult to recommend books related to character names or spatio-temporal information in text contents. Therefore, in this paper, we suggest a personalized book curation system based on integrated mining of a book. The proposed system consists of mining system, recommendation system, and visualization system. The mining system analyzes book text, user information or profile, and SNS data. The recommendation system recommends personalized books for users based on the analysed data in the mining system. This system can recommend related books using based on book keywords even if there is no user information like new customer. The visualization system visualizes book bibliographic information, mining data such as keyword, characters, character relations, and book recommendation results. In addition, this paper also includes the design and implementation of the proposed mining and recommendation module in the system. The proposed system is expected to broaden users" selection of books and encourage balanced consumption of book contents.

        초등교사의 그림책 추천 기준에 대한 연구

        이 연구는 초등교사가 그림책을 어떠한 기준으로 추천하는지를 알아본 연구이다. 연구 문제는 1) 그림책을 읽은 뒤 초등교사가 각 그림책을 얼마나 추천하는지, 2) 초등교사가 그림책을 추천하는 기준은 무엇인지로, 이를 초점으로 하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 83명의 초등교사들이 설문에 참여하였으며, 교사들은 주어진 그림책을 읽은 뒤 읽은 그림책을 초등학교 1-2학년에게 추천할 것인지, 그 여부와 그 이유에 대해 응답하였다. 교사들의 응답을 분석한 결과, 교사들은 도서 추천 과정에서 다양한 요인들을 골고루 고려하고 있었다. 교사들은 그림책의 내용과 특징에 따라 유연하게 추천 기준을 적용하고 있었으며, 독자 요인, 교육적 활용 등을 모두 고려하여 그림책을 추천하였다. 특히, 교사들은 독자를 강하게 염두에 두고 그림책을 추천하였다. 이 결과를 통해 그림책의 독자 연구와 그림책 추천 기준에 대한 더 복합적인 연구가 필요함을 알 수 있다. This research studied the criteria of Elementary school teachers’ in their recommendation of picture books. The research questions were: a) how much do the Elementary school teachers want to recommend the picture book to the first and second grade students after reading it, b) what are their criteria in their recommending the book. Survey based on these research questions were provided to 83 Elementary school teachers. Elementary school teachers read provided picture books and answered the questions whether they would recommend the picture book to the first and second grade students and the reason(s) on their recommendation. The result showed that Elementary school teachers considered various factors in their recommendation of picture books. They had flexible criteria in recommending pictured books depending on the contents and features of the picture book, reader responses, and educational application. The Elementary school teachers focused on readers when they recommended picture books. This study suggests that more studies on readers of picture books and criteria of recommendation on picture books are needed.

        초등학생 과학 추천도서의 적합성 분석

        이 연구에서는 초등학생을 대상으로 출판되는 과학 추천도서들을 살펴보고 그 특징을 분석하였다. 출판되고 있는 과학 학습 도서들의 양과 종류는 상당히 많고 다양하기 때문에, 많은 학생들과 학부모, 학교, 도서관에서는 과학 추천 도서 목록을 이용하고 있다. 하지만 추천도서들은 선정하는 기관에 따라 각각 다르고 다양하기 때문에, 이들 추천도서들이 어떤 특징을 지니고 있고 과학 학습 자료로서 적절성을 지니고 있는지를 분석할 필요가 있다. 이를 위하여 여러 문헌들과 선행연구들을 참고하고 면담 및 의견조사를 통해 기준을 추출하고 검토하여 예비 검사 도구를 제작하였다. 이렇게 제작한 예비 검사 도구의 타당성 및 신뢰성 및 타당성을 확보하기 위하여 8명의 초등 과학 교육 석사 및 석사과정으로 구성된 전문가 집단을 통하여 파일럿테스트 및 일치도 검사를 실시하였고, 의견교환을 통하여 문항을 상세화하고 수정하여 검사 도구를 제작하였다. 그 후 과학도서 추천도서들을 추천기관, 판매량을 고려하여 9권을 선정하였고, 도서 1권당 3명의 평정자가 검사 도구를 이용하여 검토하고 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 과학 추천도서들은 탐구와 과학의 본성영역이 과학태도와 지식영역에 비하여 비교적 낮은 평가를 받았다. 둘째, 몇몇 추천도서들 도서에서 다루고 있는 과학 지식들에 대한 자세한 설명이 이루어지지 않는 모습들이 보였다. 셋째, 편집적인 면에서 일부도서는 딱딱한 어조와 일방적인 설명으로의 지식제공으로 학생들이 부담감을 가지고 흥미를 잃기 쉽게 구성되어 있었다. 이를 통하여 다음과 같이 제언할 수 있다. 첫째, 추천도서를 선정함에 있어 과학지식뿐만 아니라 탐구와 과학의 본성 측면을 반영할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 본 연구에 이어 좀 더 추가적인 사후 연구들이 진행될 필요가 있다. In this study, science recommended books for elementary school students were analyzed. For the study, the screening tool with a number of criteria was produced. In order to develope a screening tool, we examined several previous studies and references. After that, through discussion and exchange of opinions, the preliminary screening tool was made. In order to ensure the reliability and validity, the pilot test was conducted. Then, detailing questions and modifications have been made by exchange of ideas. And nine science recommended books were analyzed. The results are as follows. First, as a result of examining recommended books, exploration and the nature of science were received a low rating. Second, description of the scientific knowledge was not sufficient. This discussion can be obtained through the following. First, when selecting recommended books, care should be taken in exploration and the nature of science. Second, a wide range of science trade books needs to study more.

        We examined the influence of ‘the Korean children’s book association’(Adoyeon) on Korean children’s literature in this paper. This paper distinguished between the first and second half of 1980’s and the 1990’s and after. It also looked into the history of literary events in the field of children’s literature and the process of making the “the list of recommended books.” Adoyeon was founded in the 1980s by introducing Korean children’s literature that included ethnic and popular perspectives in the dictatorship regime. And Adoyeon criticized the children’s masses and introduced good books. Since the 1990’s and afer, when children’s book publishing has become active, Adoyeon have expanded our organization by selecting good works. In the 1980s and 1990s, the activities and the achievements and issues of children’s literature are as follows. First, Positive outcomes were settled in the monopoly movement in the circulation environment focused on the whole collection. A specific example is the movement to inform Korean creative monoppoly fairy tale in the 1980’s and the recommendation of book publications in the 1990’s. Secondly, it was a curriculum for the nation and the people ‘s view, which is our creative fairy tale, and played a great role in shaping the genealogy of realistic fairy tales. The third was to take down low-quality books in the same way as ‘recommendation’ and ‘list’, leading to good book distribution. The fourth was using the newsletter, which we took charge of children ‘s book reviews and book reviews. And since the 2000’s and after, they have developed civic movements such as book reading and library activities. However, although the Korean children’s literature was turned into a genealogy and it was shown through the “recommended book list” at a glance, it could not respond sensitively to the social demands to view the works with various changes in the times. This is a negative side. Due to the clarity of realistic assimilation, there is a limit to read the work with uniformity. Specifically, it is left to the researchers to read the works of realist genealogists more deeply and abundantly. Finally, this paper has limitations on only the part related to Korean children ‘s literature in the various activities of Adoyeon. Adoyeon: the korean children’s book association
