      • 인공야간조명의 곤충 유인특성과 생태영향

        인공야간조명에 유인된 곤충은 대부분 그대로 죽게 되고, 생태계 내에서 1차 또는 2차 소비자의 역할을 하는 곤충의 개체군 감소로 인한 생태계 피해는 매우 심각하다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구를 통해 각 조명의 곤충 유인특성을 알아내고 주변생태에 영향을 덜 미치는 조명을 제안하고자 한다. 조사는 2011년 6월에서 8월에 걸쳐 인공야간조명과 이격된 총 5곳의 산지에서 30W의 백열등, 형광등, 할로겐등, 삼파장등, LED등을 이용한 첫 번째 유인실험을 5회 반복 실시하였고, 50W의 수은등, 나트륨등, 메탈할라이드등을 이용한 두 번째 유인실험을 총 6회 반복 실시하였다. 전등 주변 가로 세로 1m X 1m에서 유인된 곤충을 전량 채집하여 동정 및 종수와 개체수를 계수하였다. 군집분석에는 우점도, 균등도, 풍부도, 다양도를 이용하였으며, 사용된 모든 조명에 대해서는 조도와 UV-A량을 측정하였다. 실험결과 인공조명의 특성에 따른 곤충유인특성을 분석해 보면 첫 번째 실험은 조도는 가장 낮지만 UV-A의 측정값이 가장 큰 형광등에서 가장 많은 수의 곤충이 유인되었으며, 조도는 가장 높지만 UV-A의 측정값이 0인 LED등에서 현저하게 적은 수의 곤충이 유인 되었다. 다양도와 풍부도는 UV-A 그래프와 유사한 형태이고 형광등에서 가장 높고 LED에서 가장 낮았으며, 균등도에는 큰 차이가 없었다. 두 번째 실험에서 수은등이나 메탈할라이드등의 곤충유인율과 다양도, 풍부도, 균등도에는 큰 차이가 없으며, 조도가 가장 높지만 UV-A의 측정값이 현저히 작은 나트륨에서 적은 유인률과 낮은 다양도, 풍부도, 균등도를 나타냈다. 결론적으로 인공야간조명은 생태계에 악영향을 끼치며, 설치해야하는 경우 LED등이나 나트륨등과 같이 동일한 와트(W)내에서 조도는 밝지만 UV-A 방출량이 적은 조명을 제안한다.

        코로나바이러스감염증-19 대유행에 따른 광역시도별 야간 인공조명 강도의 시공간 변화

        The COVID-19 has recently entered into global pandemic era, which impacted on the shrinkage of world economy in accordance with inter-nation movement limit and local-level lockdown. The province-level distinction of nighttime light (NTL) change, associated with COVID-19 pandemic, was reported by previous research for China and India. This study investigated the spatio-temporal patterns of NTL change for provinces of South Korea. To do so, it utilized Day/Night Band (DNB) March images of 2019, 2020 and 2021, which were collected by Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) sensor onboard Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (SNPP) satellite. The considerable dimming of NTL was observed in Seoul Metropolitan City, Gyeonggi Province, and Incheon Metropolitan City whose cumulative COVID-19 confirmed cases were higher than the others. Province-level NTL changes between pre-pandemic and pandemic periods of this communicable disease were also confirmed by Wilcoxon signed rank test. It would be required to perform time-series statistical analysis, incorporating other the other variables potentially related to NTL change, in future study. 최근 코로나바이러스감염증-19(이하 코로나-19)는 전 세계적 대유행 단계에 접어들었으며, 국가 간 이동제한 및 지역봉쇄에 따라 세계 경제에 부정적 영향을 미치고 있다. 중국과 인도를 대상으로 수행된 선행연구는 야간 인공위성 영상자료를 통해 코로나-19 대유행에 따른 인공조명 세기 변화의 지역별 차이가 발생함을 보고한 바 있다. 본 연구는 2019년, 2020년, 2021년 3월 SNPP VIIRS DNB 영상자료를 활용하여 코로나-19의 전국적 확산과 맞물린 야간 인공조명의 광역시도별 시공간 변화 패턴을 고찰하였다. 코로나-19 누적 확진자가 많이 발생한 서울특별시, 인천광역시와 경기도를 포함한 수도권 지역에서 다른 지역보다 큰 폭의 야간 조도 감소가 나타났다. 통계분석 결과에 따르면 두 시기 간 광역시도별 빛합계지수에 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 향후 연구에서는 야간 조도에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 다른 변인을 포함한 시계열 모형 기반 분석의 수행 필요성이 제기된다.

        SNPP/VIIRS 야간조도와 식생지수를 활용한 한반도 CO2 배출량 매핑

        As climate change problem has recently become serious, studies are being conducted toidentify carbon dioxide (CO2) emission dynamics based on satellite data to reduce emissions. It is alsovery important to analyze spatial patterns by estimating and mapping CO2 emissions dynamic. Therefore,in this study, CO2 emissions in the Korean Peninsula from 2013 to 2020 were estimated and mapped. To spatially estimate and map emissions, we use the enhanced vegetation index adjusted nighttime lightindex, an index that combines nighttime light (NTL) and vegetation index, to map both areas where NTLis observed and areas where NTL is not observed. In order to spatially estimate and map CO2 emissions,the total annual emissions of the Korean Peninsula were calculated, resulting in an increase of 11% from2013 to 2017 and a decrease of 13% from 2017 to 2020. As a result of the mapping, it was confirmedthat the spatial pattern of CO2 emissions in the Korean Peninsula were concentrated in urban areas. Afterbeing divided into 17 regions, which included the downtown area, the metropolitan area accounted forroughly 40% of CO2 emissions in the Korean Peninsula. The region that exhibited the most significantchange from 2013 to 2020 was Sejong City, showing a 96% increase.

        해안 휴양지의 야간경관 개선을 위한 건축물의 조명환경 연구 - 경포도립공원을 중심으로 -

        Recently, the outdoor lighting of architectural Facade has increased for the improvement of night-scape in urban and coastal resort. The purpose of this research is to analyze lighting characteristics; Luminance, Illuminance, Color Temperature, Chromaticity in Gyengpo Park of Eastern famous coastal resort. The result of this paper is as follows: 1) The Luminance ratio was measured that compare to the 1:10 criterion(IESNA) was in excess to the most building except "K". Because of these condition, Luminance environments was injurious to visual health the overuse of the outdoor lighting or glare to the eyes. 2) The level of vertical Illuminance value was insufficient 33.3% among the cases of survey with 4Lux standard of CIE. 3) The kinds of outdoor lighting of BLDG were increased lighting emitting diode(LED), metal halide(MH) instead of reduction trend of neon, fluorescent light, halogen. As the crisis of Energy resources we will be investigate adapt method of outdoor lighting, which design is based on economical efficiency by the use of optimum lighting.

      • 학교 야간 강의실의 좌석 위치에 따른 조도와 휘도의 연관성 분석 연구

        Illumination, brightness, and glare of a blackboard negatively affect on studying efficiency of an evening class. This thesis is about the relation between illumination and brightness of a blackboard in the evening class. Illumination and brightness of the classroom blackboard surface being looked at from each seat were measured. Based on the measured results, the relation between levels of illumination and brightness were analyzed in detail. The illumination is the highest at the center of the blackboard, and it gets lower and lower as being far from it. At the first and second row of the classroom, the brightness is maximum at the top of the blackboard, and the center-top has the maximum brightness point after the third row. In addition, the bottom of blackboard has the minimum brightness from a diagonal view. The ratio of the maximum blackboard brightness to the minimum one is approximately 1.5. As a consequence, students in the evening take the influence of glare from the classroom lighting. Also the degree of the influence is not equal at all the seats, but depend on the specific location. Therefore, the illumination of evening class should secure sufficient intensity of illumination on the desk surface, and prevent students and teachers from direct rays of the light by using the blackboard that has curved surface. Such environmental improvements can be fulfilled by adopting various ways of apparatus arrangements, buried illumination, louver-ceiling illumination, and other methods in behalf of students academic efficiency and their eye protection.

        광환경과 기상조건에 따른 야간조도 영향 분석

        This study deals with the light environments and weather conditions affecting to the night illuminance over the Korean peninsula. The experiment was executed to analyze the effects on the illuminance at separate sites(Gyeryong and Pilseung) considering the different light environments. The analysis was applied to illuminance measurement from the lightmeter, which was developed for the IYA(International Year of Astronomy) 2009, in order to observe the illuminance of areal networks. The weather observations, such as the cloud cover and visibility, were used to understand the quantitative influence of the illuminance to the selected sites. The results show that the illuminance measurements are significantly different from data of the operational illuminance prediction model which simply applies extinction effect for the illuminance. It shows that these differences are caused by the light environments and weather conditions for each site. Therefore, it can be confirmed that the night illuminance is the output of interaction with the characteristics of light for luminous sources.

        DMSP OLS 야간영상 자료와 우리나라의 지역별 경제 활동 간의 관계 분석

        This study analyses the relationship between the degree of regional economic activity (GRDP) and the regional light intensity collected by satellites (DMSP OLS). As a result of the analysis, it is found that the regional light intensity data can reflect the differences and changes of regional economic activities. Moreover, it is found that changes of regional industrial structure affect regional light intensity as well.

        시판 야간 안전복의 기능성 및 가시성 평가

        To assist the further development of hight-visibility clothing this study compared the visibility and subjective wear sensation of commercial protective vests with retro-reflecting materials or LEDs. Nine subjects compared high-visibility vests to evaluate how easy they were to see when exposed to the headlight of a car at night, and the subjects assessed the wear sensation of the vests also. The intensity and visibility of five different colored LEDs assembled on the five substrates separately were also evaluated to select the suitable LED color for night protective clothing. The intensity of illumination was measured by an illuminometer, and the visibility was evaluated by 11 participants both in a dark room and in front of a car outdoors at night. Results showed, the most effective LEDs were high intensity LEDs which shift blinking red and white were most effective. However, excessively high intensity of illumination could decrease the working efficiency. In subjective wear evaluation, the most favorable vest had a front opening, were adjustable at the sides, and had an electric power switch on the front of the vest.
