지역문학 연구의 현장에서 한국 시학의 미래를 보다-최명표의 전북 지역 시문학에 관한 연구를 중심으로

본고는 전북의 지역문학 연구에 일가를 이룬 최명표의 대표적인 시인론을 중심 텍스트로 삼아 한국 지역문학 연구의 현장을 살펴보고, 더 나아가 그러한 지역문학 연구를 통해 제시된 시학이 도래할, 또 도래해야 할 한국 시학의 한 면모일 수 있음을 확인하고자 한 글이다. 이를 위해 본고는 먼저 지역문학이란 무엇이며 우리가 왜 지역문학에 주목하고 이에 관해 논의해야 하는지 밝히는 데서 시작한다. 다음으로 본고는 최명표의 연구를 통해 지역문학, 특히 전북의 지역문학의 현장을 구체적으로 들여다본다. 최명표의 저작에서 자주 다루어진 시인 중, 본고에서는 특히 지역과 공동체를 다루는 데 있어 미학적으로 유효한 방향을 제시해 준 시인으로 평가받는 백석을 비롯해 전북 출신 시인인 김해강과 강인한 그리고 이가림에 관한 논의를 중심으로 그의 학문살이를 엿본다. 그가 읽은 지역의 시인들은 지역사회와 공동체를 향한 사랑으로 충만하였고 또 그에 값하는 시들을 써 지역문학, 더 나아가 한국 현대시사를 풍요롭게 했다. 그리고 마지막으로는 지역문학이 곧 한국문학 미래의 한 축임을 전제로 이에 관해 간단히 논의하며 마무리한다. This paper examines the field of Korean local literature research, focusing on Choi Myeong-pyo's representative poet theory, who made excellent achievements in the study of local literature in Jeollabuk-do. Furthermore, this article aims to confirm that poetry presented through his research on local literature may be an aspect of Korean poetry that will arrive. To this end, this paper first attempts to clarify what is local literature and why we should pay attention to it and discuss it. Next, this paper examines the field of local literature, especially local literature in Jeollabuk-do, through Choi Myeong-pyo's research. Among the poets frequently covered in Choi Myeong-pyo's works, this paper will provide a glimpse into the world of criticism, focusing on Baek Seok, who is evaluated as a poet who has provided an aesthetic effective direction in dealing with the region and community, as well as discussions on Kim Hae-kang, Kang In-han, and Lee Ga-rim the poets from Jeollabuk-do. The local poets he read were full of love for the community and the community and wrote poems corresponding to enrich local literature and the history of Korean modern poetry. Finally, we conclude by briefly discussing this on the premise that local literature is one of the pillars of the future of Korean literature.

이성교 시 연구

본 연구는 이성교의 시가 강원영동지역의 지역적 특색을 통해 지역적 정체성과 지역의 정서를 내면화하는 시로 보았다. 그의 시는 강원영동지역의 지역적 특색과 특수성을 담고 있다. 또한 그의 시는 우리 민족과 인간 삶의 보편적 정서를 보여준다. 강원영동지역의 지형적 특색은 서쪽으로 높고 험준한 산과 동쪽으로 넓은 바다가 펼쳐져 있다. 영동지역 사람들에게 산과 바다는 넘어야 할 대상이며, 맞서 일궈내야 하는 대상이고 생존을 위한 공간이다. 그러므로 산과 바다는 주체가 극복해야 할 대상이다. 이성교의 시에서 산과 바다는 닫힘과 열림의 이원성을 지닌다. 산과 바다는 만남과 이별이 공존하고 과거와 미래가 공존하며, 추억과 이상․평안이 공존하는 공간이다. 이성교의 시에서 강원영동지역의 정서는 풀린 마음, 트인 마음, 열린 마음으로 나타난다. 그 마음은 구수한 인심이 경계가 없이 인정으로 이어진다. 한편, 강원영동지역 해안가 사람들에게 바다는 단순히 동경․꿈과 같은 이상적 공간만이 아니라 생존하기 위한 공간, 삶을 영위하기 위한 투쟁의 공간, 현장성의 공간이다. This research emphasized that Lee Sung-gyo's poetry internalize regional identity and local empathy through specific features of Kang Won Young-dong(K, W, Y, D) province. His poetry treats not only certain local feature and speciality in K, W, Y, D province but also universal empathy of human life and Korea people. K, W, Y, D province has both high mountain areas in western and very wide sea in eastern part. These territorial features can be represent hardship to confront local people ,overcome and live together in same area. Therefore, these environment is being to be overcome for living. These mountain and sea has dualism to close and open simultaneously in his poetry. There coexist meeting and departing, past and future, and reminiscences and dreams in these environment. Empathy of K, W, Y, D province shows as sometimes released, correspondent, and open mind in his poetry. This empathy go on as understanding humanity without border in Kang Won seashore people. At the same time, with this empathy they try to struggle and overcome natural environment to survive and live.

The Logic of Korean Poetics of Places -Pak Tae-il’s Research on the Theory of Local Literature (1) Choi, Myoung-pyo This study began with the purpose of examining the logic of poetics of places Pak Tae-il insists to position it in the range of Korean poetics of places and understanding its association with research on local literature. His poetics of places originated from his experience of places and is equipped with both theory and substance. First, Pak Tae-il stressed locality and local features. The two originated from placeness and are the drive that constructs the poet’s view of the world and produces poems of places. They prove the records of locals’ cultural value and experience and are open as the space of introspective irony about the loss of a place. Second, Pak Tae-il values coexistence of the regional dialect and placeness. When standard language castrates and standardizes a region’s placeness, the local dialect resists against spatial control that capital pursues to protect placeness and advocates the region’s diversity. Symbiotic relationship between the local dialect and poems of places is useful in optimizing a place’s locality. Third, Pak Tae-il’s poems of places target the mixture of placeness and historicity. He found the example of a place’s historicity becoming reinforced and deteriorated from Tongyeong, Gyeongnam. Also, with the example of Yongho Farm in Busan, he captured the scene that the history of a place got deleted at the site where the camp for Hansen’s disease patients was demolished. With this, he proves that placeness and historicity are inseparable. Pak Tae-il thinks that poetics of places ultimately pursues the recovery of community spirit and love towards traditional life. His poetics of places was logicalized with his academic passion harmonized with his experience of places and creation of poems of places. 이 논문은 박태일이 주장한 장소시학의 논리를 규명하여 한국 장소시학의 범주에 자리매김하고, 지역문학연구와의 관련상을 파악할 목적으로 시작되었다. 그의 장소시학은 장소 체험에서 비롯되어 이론과 실제를 겸비하고 있다. 첫째, 박태일은 지역성과 향토성을 강조하였다. 양자는 장소성에서 유래한 것으로, 시인의 세계관을 구성하고 장소시를 생산하는 원동력이다. 둘은 장소 상실에 대한 성찰적 반어 공간이기도 하다. 둘째, 박태일은 지역어와 장소성의 공생을 중시한다. 지역어는 자본이 추구하는 공간 지배력에 저항하여 장소성을 견수하고 지역의 다양성을 옹호한다. 둘의 공생관계는 장소의 지역성을 최적화하는데 유용하다. 셋째, 박태일의 장소시는 장소성과 역사성의 혼화를 겨냥한다. 그는 경남 통영에서 장소의 역사성이 강화되고 악화되는 보기를 찾았다. 또 그는 부산 용호농장을 예로 삼아서 한센병 환자 수용소가 철거된 현장에서 장소의 역사가 삭제되는 모습을 포착하여 장소성과 역사성이 한몸인 줄 밝혔다. 이와 같이 박태일의 장소시학은 장소사랑에 터한 공동체의식의 회복과 지역성을 강조한다. 그의 장소시학은 학문적 열정과 함께 장소체험, 장소시의 창작 등이 함께 어우러져 논리화되었다.

박태일의 경북·대구 지역문학론 연구

A Study on Park Tae-il's Theory of Gyeongbuk-Daegu Regional Literature Han, kyung-hee Some of Park's research papers are summarized. He is not from Gyeongbuk or Daegu, but is the only researcher who has taken care of local literature research here. It put a brake on the research practice of regional literature research, which did not have concreteness and led to the theory of works of local writers. Since regional literature research should start with regional research, it is advised to consider the locality and spatiality of the region first. He pointed out the limitations of studying literary phenomena that were created in harmony with local people, local culture, and local landscapes, focusing on works. He mentioned writing through data acquisition several times while putting the brakes on literary research centered on famous people, which is nothing more than repetition of tautology. Several papers emphasize the importance of media in regional studies. Despite the fact that data recording and storage are poor, local research emphasizes securing media. It can always be confirmed that Park Tae-il's writing, which shows the importance of data in regional literature research, is written with his feet. Through media, literary phenomena can be organized and events and characters can be reconstructed. I have written several times that when studying the area, you should focus your efforts on the media. As the literary history centered on Seoul can be supplemented and supplemented when the achievements of regional studies are accumulated, it emphasizes the need for zeal and confident and steady efforts of those who study regional literature. Park Tae-il's literature research in Gyeongbuk and Daegu is not a study in which regional literature is confined to the boundaries of a region. Although the focus is on the Gyeongnam and Busan regions, as the scope of research spreads to other regions, the work of reconstructing the history of Korean literature is in progress. The representative treatment of the border area between Gyeongbuk and Gyeongnam is an extension of that. Regional divisions are primarily divided into administrative divisions. It was specifically examined that there was no difference in the literary phenomenon. 박태일의 연구 논문 몇 편을 정리하였다. 그는 경북·대구 출신이 아니면서도 이곳 지역문학 연구를 살뜰하게 챙긴 연구자로 유일한 분이다. 지역문학연구가 그 구체성을 갖추지 못하고 지역 출신 작가의 작품론으로 이어지고 있는 연구 관행에 제동을 걸었다. 지역문학 연구는 지역연구에서 출발해야 하므로 지역이라는 현장성, 공간성을 가장 우선적으로 고민하라 충고한다. 지역민과 지역문화, 지역 경관 등이 어우러져 만들어진 문학현상을 무시하고 연구해 온 한계를 잘 지적했다. 동어반복에 지나지 않는 명망가 중심의 안이한 문학연구를 지적하면서 자료 확보를 통한 글쓰기의 중요성을 여러 차례 언급했다. 지역연구에서 매체의 소중함은 연구의 근간이 됨을 여러 편의 논문에서 강조한다. 자료의 기록과 보관이 허술한 현실에도 불구하고 지역연구에서 매체를 탐색해야한다. 지역문학 연구에서 자료의 중요성을 제대로 보여주는 박태일의 글은 발로 쓰는 글임을 늘 확인할 수 있다. 매체를 통해 문학현상을 정리하고 구성할 때 지역문학사가 정리될 수 있다. 지역을 연구할 때 매체에 노력을 집중해야 함을 여러 차례 써 놓았다. 지역연구의 성과가 축적될 때 서울 중심의 문학사가 보충되고 보완될 수 있으므로, 지역문학을 연구하는 사람의 열성과 확신있는 꾸준한 노력이 필요함을 기회있을 때마다 언급한다. 그러므로 박태일의 경북과 대구지역 문학연구는 지역이라는 테두리에 갇힌 연구가 아니다. 경남과 부산지역을 중심에 두고 있지만, 다른 지역으로 연구범위가 확산되면서 결국 한국문학사를 온전하게 재구성해내는 일을 실천적으로 이뤄내고 그 길을 알려준다.경북과 경남의 경계지역을 대상으로 다룬 것도 그 연장선에 있는 일이다. 지역 구분은 일차적으로 행정적인 구획으로 나눠진다. 그러나 실제 문화생활권에서는 경계가 따로 없이 겹쳐진다는 사실을 통해 지역문학 연구의 길을 새롭게 밝혀낸 것이다.

학생문예지에 나타난 지역문학적 특징

『Student’s Literature』, which was published in Gwangju, is a literary magazine to show that students have voluntarily organized their literary club and worked on creative writing activities. As older alumni writers at the region and many high schools fully supported the student literary alliance to found the magazine, it has been known that literary ambience of Gwangju Jeonnam region was quite different from that of other regions. Local literary features disclosed on student literary magazines can be categorized into 3 types. The first feature is that including the poet, Kim Hyunseung, many poets who are working in Gwangju, and one of his pulpils, Park Bongu, published their new works on the first issue of 󰡔Student’s Literature󰡕 to encourage students’ creative activity. The second feature is that guidance teachers of literary clubs at each high school actively participate in and fully support for literary activities. The third feature is that the level improvement of students’ works was intended and the participants were limited only to students of Gwangju Jeonnam local high schools and universities. This means local literary ambience and attitude are a volition to fully support and promote Gwangju Jeonnam local students’ creative activities. 󰡔Student’s Literature󰡕 has a historical value to confirm that literary challenges against new things provoked by the activities of members of 󰡔Zero Degree(零度)󰡕 coterie promote literary activities by Gwangju local students. The only first issue has the most significance in that it showed details of Gwangju Jeonnam local literary ambience in the late 1950’s. 광주에서 발행된 『학생문예』는 학생들이 자발적인 문학동우회를 결성하여 문학적 연대를 통해 문예창작 활동을 하였음을 보여주는 문예지이다. 학생들의 문학적 연대를 지역의 선배 문인들과 각 고등학교에서 적극적으로 지원하여 창간한 만큼 광주전남지역의 문학적 분위기는 남달랐다는 것을 알 수 있다. 학생 문예지에 나타난 지역 문학적 특징은 세 가지로 정리된다. 그 첫째는 시인 김현승을 비롯하여 광주에서 활동하고 있었던 시인들, 그리고 그의 제자들인 박봉우 등이 『학생문예』 창간호에 작품을 발표하여 학생들의 창작활동을 격려하고 있다. 둘째는 각 고등학교의 문예부 지도교사들이 적극적으로 참여하여 문예활동을 지원하고 있다. 셋째는 학생들의 작품을 공모를 통하여 학생들의 작품 수준향상을 꾀하였으며, 대상을 광주전남 지역의 고등학생과 대학생으로 한정하였다. 이것은 결국 광주전남 지역의 학생들을 위한 지역의 문학적 분위기와 태도가 창작활동을 적극적으로 지원하고 육성하고자 하는 의지였다고 할 수 있다. 󰡔학생문예󰡕는 󰡔영도(零度)󰡕 동인들의 활동으로 촉발된 새로운 것에 대한 문학적 도전이 광주 지역 학생들에게 고무적인 문예활동을 촉발하였음을 확인할 수 있는 사료적 가치가 있다. 이 창간호만으로 1950년대 후반의 광주전남 지역문단의 분위기를 자세하게 알 수 있었다는 점에서 큰 의의가 있다.

박태일의 지역문학 연구 서설

박태일은 지역문학 연구의 개척자이다. 그는 20여년에 걸쳐 지역문학자료들을 수집하여 분류하고 정리하는 작업을 계속해 왔다. 그의 연구가 미친 지역은 경남 지역부터 제주도, 전라도, 경북, 북한, 만주까지 넓다. 그는 전국을 돌아다니며 모은 자료들을 꼼꼼하게 분석하여 문학적 가치를 부여함으로써, 지역의 자료들이 발굴되고 조명되어야 할 이유를 증명하였다. 박태일은 지역문학에 대한 연구를 통하여 학자적 정체성을 수립하였다. 그는 미개척 상태였던 지역문학연구를 개척하고 그 성과를 여러 권의 연구서, 산문집, 전집 등으로 발간하였다. 그는 지역문학을 연구하는 학회를 창립하고, 지역문학연구를 하나의 방법론으로 입안하여 한국의 지역문학연구가 활성화되도록 이바지한 선구자이다. Park Tae-il is one of the most leading researchers of local literatures. He has collected, classified, and organized local literary materials for over two decades with the extensive research coverage reaching as far as Gyeongnam, Jeju, Jeolla, Gyeongbuk, North Korea, and Manchuria. He has successfully proved why these materials deserve to be discovered and illuminated by meticulously analyzing them and granting literary values to them. The study of local literatures allowed Park Tae-il to build his scholarly identity. He pioneered digging into the relatively untapped field of local literature and compiled his accomplishments in a number of books, including academic book, collection of proses, and complete collection. He also established a research institute dedicated to studying local literatures and contributed to revitalizing studies of local literature in Korea by developing a unique research methodology as to local literature, solidifying his reputation as one of the leading pioneers in studies of local literature.

전북에스페란토운동사

이 논문은 전북 지역 에스페란토운동을 사적으로 개관하고 운동가들을 조명하고자 기획되었다. 전북 지역 에스페란토운동은 일본 유학생들에 의하여 시작되었다. 그들은 에스페란토를 배우는 동안에 사회주의와 아나키즘을 학습하며 국제 연대를 꿈꾸었다. 에스페란토를 익힌 그들은 고향으로 돌아와서 청년운동가들을 의식화시켰, 운동의 양상은 아래처럼 전개되었다. 첫째, 도내에서는 여러 곳에서 에스페란토 강습회가 열렸다. 전주, 이리, 군산, 정읍에서 열린 강습회에는 그 지역 청년운동의 지도자들이 깊은 관심을 보였다. 그들은 에스페란토를 지역사회 변혁운동의 수단으로 이용하고자 학습하였다. 그들에 대한 평가가 식민지해방운동의 차원에서 단행되어야 할 이유이다. 둘째, 전북 출신의 백남규는 한국에스페란토운동의 개척자이다. 그는 1920년 출범한 조선에스페란토협회의 창립 간부였다. 그는 에스페란토 강사와 지상강좌의 필자로 활약하면서 식민지에 에스페란토의 씨앗을 뿌린 선구자이다. 그는 자멘호프의 1국 2언어주의에 적극 찬동하고, 주시경의 제자로서 한글운동과 세계어로서의 에스페란토운동을 병행했다. 이런 특면에서 그에 대한 평가는 에스페란토운동과 한글운동의 차원에서 동시에 이루어져야 한다. 셋째, 익산 출신의 정사섭은 한국에스페란토문학을 개척한 선지자이다. 그는 1938년 에스페란토 필명 ‘Dan Tirinaro’으로 파리에서 한국 최초의 에스페란토 시집 󰡔La Liberpoeto(자유시인)󰡕을 발행했다. 그의 시집에는 사해동포주의와 만민평등사상이 육화되어 있다. 일찍부터 반일 성향을 표출했던 그는 일본 유학 중에 에스페란토를 접한 뒤로 인류가 더불어 사는 평화한 평등세상을 꿈꾸었다. 그의 시집은 한국에스페란토문학사뿐만 아니라, 한국근대문학사와 전북근대문학사에서 합당하게 기술되어야 한다. 넷째, 군산 출신의 전용승은 에스페란토를 무기로 외국과의 연대 활동을 보여주었다. 그는 스페인 내전의 수행에 필요한 소요자금을 모금하던 중에 피체된 공산주의자이다. 그의 활약상은 에스페란토의 국제 연대와 함께, 일제의 탄압으로 공개 행사를 갖지 못하던 에스페란토운동가의 지하활동을 입증해준다. 이외에도 부안의 김아가 에스페란토에 관심을 갖고 지역 청년들과 학습 기회를 가졌다. 해방 후 전북에스페란토운동은 백남규가 꾸준히 선편을 쥐었으며, 종립 원광대학교에서 원불교의 포교 도구로 에스페란토를 적극 받아들이면서 운동의 중심지 역할을 수행하였다. 백남규, 정사섭, 원불교 등이 만나는 익산이야말로 한국에스페란토운동사에서 길이 기억되어야 할 운동지이기에, 한국에스페란토박물관의 건립과 운동가들을 현양하는 사업을 적극 시행할 만하다. the Esperanto movement, Jeonbuk, reform movement, Baek Nam-gyu, Jeong Sa-seop, Jeon Yong-seung, Choi Seong-myeon, Kim Ah

경남지역의 문학자원과 문학행정

경남지역은 근대 초기부터 현재까지 한국문학사를 관류하는 중요한 작가와 작품, 그리고 문학적 사건의 중심지 가운데 하나였다. 그런 만큼 깊고 다양한 문학 전통과 자산을 바탕으로 각 지역사회마다 문학 현양사업이 활기를 띄고 있다. 하지만 그러한 문학자원을 아우르는 마땅한 문학행정을 펼치지 못한 채 특정 문학인들의 현양에만 치우쳐 있었다. 이 글에서는 경남지역의 문학자원과 문학행정에 대해 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 글쓴이는 지표조사 차원에서 지역별 문학관‧문학비 현황, 나아가 문학제나 문학상 실태를 중점적으로 짚어보았다. 그 결과 경남지역의 문학자원은 그 양과 질에서 볼 때 어느 지역과도 견줄 수 없을 만한 의미와 가치를 담고 있다. 하지만 경남지역은 문학자원에 대한 관심과 문학행정의 다변화를 이루지 못하고 있는 현상에 대해 반성할 필요가 있다. 이러한 사정은 대부분의 지역에서 쉽게 찾을 있는 일이다. 여전히 문학행정과 경영에 대한 관심과 성찰은 부족한 점이 많다. 그 바탕이 되는 문학자원 실태조사, 지역문학의 전통과 자산에 대한 자료 수집․발굴에서 더욱 그렇다. 지역의 문학행정이 바람직한 방향으로 나아가기 위해서는 무엇보다 먼저 지역문학 실태조사가 제대로 이루어지고 지역사회의 적극적인 지원이 뒤따라야 할 것이다. 아울러 경남은 문학관과 문학비, 문학인의 생가와 유택, 그리고 작품의 창작배경지 등의 문학자원이 풍부해 이들 지역간 연결고리를 마련한다면 다양한 가치를 추구하는 관광자원으로 삼기에 충분하다. 그런 만큼 경남지역은 무거운 근대문학 전통과 축적된 문학자원을 어떻게 지역문학의 발전 동력으로 상승시킬 것인가 하는 과제, 이를 지역 문화관광의 매개물로 승화시키는가 하는 난제를 안고 있다. But Attention on literary resources and Diversification of literary administration in Kyungnam region were necessary for the unfulfilled did wrong about. These matters are easy to find in most areas, The Administration still care about literary reflection is insufficient. it is based on a survey of literature resources of the local culture, traditions and more data collection for assets apart from the daunting. First of all regional literature and require active support of the community survey was done properly the reality. In addition, the literature and the literary monument, the textbook's birthplace and Yu-taek, and works such as the creative background of literary resources, abundant, these regional links if pursues a variety of value to tourism resources provides is sufficient. 강원 영동권 지역문학담론의 동향과 전망

The purpose of this paper is to shed light on the meaning of discourse of Gangwon-Yeongdong regional literature. It can be referred to as problematic objects what shared converging and diverging points in looking into and understanding the problems of the modernity reflected in literature. This paper tries to apply the locality and border thinking in broad sense to its works based on the efforts to study history in various lights. The spirit and works of Gangwon-Yeongdong regional literature prove our centralized surroundings and the typical pattern of living in unreasonable modern times by performing effects. And the purpose of this paper is seeking both theoretical basis and practical methodology for studying Gangwon-Yeongdong regional literature. It can be emphasized that the study of locality need to focus on system and institutional aspect. It is also important that the study of regional literature should embrace perspective of translocality as well as locality. Regional literature study is a method that sets the goal at discussion for a regional reorganization. The important materials as target of regional literature study is media such as magazines and organizations.
