        간호수기향상 프로그램이 간호학생의 자기효능감과 자존감에 미치는 효과

        Purpose: The purpose of the present study was to assess the effectiveness of a nursing skills enhancement program in improving the self-efficacy and self-esteem of senior nursing students. Methods: This was a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design study that enrolled 306 senior nursing students. The nursing students were randomly assigned to an experimental(n=132) or control group (n=174), and students assigned to the experimental group completed a nursing skills enhancement program, which consisted of four skills training components: IV infusion, enema, $O_2$ therapy by means of cannulation and urinary catheterization. Data were analyzed with frequency, the chi-squared test, and the paired t-test using the SPSS/pc 15.0 statistical program. Results: Our results showed that the self-esteem and self-efficacy of nursing students who were assigned to the nursing skills enhancement program were significantly better compared to those of nursing students in the control group (t=10.198 and t=6.452, for self-efficacy and self-esteem, respectively, p<.001 for both variables). Conclusion: Our findings clearly show that a nursing skills enhancement program is effective in improving the self-efficacy and self-esteem of senior nursing students.

        가정간호 주돌봄 제공자의 감염관리에 대한 지식 및 수행도

        Purpose: This study aimed at providing guidelines and educational manuals on infection control for the home care environment, by assessing the knowledge and performance among the caregivers in home care. Methods: Data were collected from January to March 2013. Participants were 172 caregivers who were registered in the home nursing center of university hospitals. Results: The total score on the level of knowledge of infection control was 13.28 points (${\pm}3.49$) out of 20 points. Secondly, 4.15 points were obtained for individual hygiene management, 4.14 points for hand wash, and 3.86 points for environment management. Lastly, the relationship between the knowledge and performance of infection control showed a significant positive correlation (r=0.37, p<.001). Conclusion: In many instances, the caregivers in the home environment provide nursing care for patients with chronic diseases and make use of various invasive devices. This study recommends the development of a manual or educational guidelines on infection control that can be used by caregivers at the home.

        HIV/AIDS 상담간호사를 위한 교육 프로그램의 개발과 적용

        Purpose: This aim of the present study was to assess a newly developed education program for HIV/AIDS counseling nurses. Methods: An education program was developed based on literature reviews, previous project analysis, focus group interview and expert meetings. The program comprised of 3 levels: basic, advanced, and intensive, which included 80, 70, and 60 hours of education, respectively. From May to December in 2012, 17 counseling nurses completed the program and we evaluated their learning achievements, attitudes towards AIDS, confidence in consultation, empathic ability, and training sessions. We also measured the nurses' satisfaction with the program before and after completion. Results: After completing a monthly education program lasting 12-15 hours, the nurses' mean learning achievement was 88.5%, 88.3% and 91.4% out of the basic, advanced, and intensive levels, respectively. Although the nurses' attitudes towards AIDS did not change, their confidence and empathic abilities increased following the basic and intensive components of the programs. Satisfaction with the educational sessions and program operation was 4.23 out of 5.0. Conclusion: This newly developed education program for HIV/AIDS counseling nurses promoted learning achievements as well as, confidence and empathic ability in consultation. HIV/AIDS counseling nurses should receive continuous education opportunities to enhance their potential.

        간호대학생의 성별에 따른 성정체성, 성평등의식과 자아존중감

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences between gender identity, gender equality, and self-esteem among nursing college students. Methods: The subjects were nursing college students who were selected from 4 different nursing colleges. We measured gender identity, gender equality, and self-esteem using verified measurement tools. Data were analyzed using descriptive and comparative statistical methods. Results: Gender equality among nursing college students showed a significant difference between male students and female students. Male students had higher gender equality scores than female students on all 4 types of gender equality. Conclusion: Male nursing college students that there are differences in gender equality, especially in the areas of education and employment. Based on these results, we suggest that future work should focus on developing a curriculum to increase awareness of gender equality among under graduate students, and thereby build an organizational culture of mutual respect for gender equality among clinical nurses.

        중학교 청소년의 수면시간과 수면의 질이 우울에 미치는 영향: 한국아동·청소년패널조사를 중심으로

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between sleep duration, quality of sleep and depression, and to identify the factors associated with depression in middle school students. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional design with secondary data, middle school student panel data from the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey (2018), and data from a total of 2,590 students was used for analysis. For the statistical analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and hierarchical multiple regression were performed using SPSS ver. 26. Results: The mean depression score in adolescents was 17.99±6.38. Depression had significant differences according to sleep duration and quality. Adolescents with less than eight hours of sleep showed the highest depression, and poor sleepers showed higher depression scores than good sleepers. Gender, school achievement, school satisfaction, economic status, and exercise time were found to significantly relate to depression. After controlling for general characteristics, depression explained 17.2% of the variance in quality of sleep (β=-.15, p<.001) and sleep duration (β=-.04, p=.022). Conclusion: These findings indicate that it is necessary to develop intervention strategies to enhance the quality of sleep and appropriate sleep duration for preventing depression in adolescents.

        중환자실 간호사의 회복탄력성, 직무스트레스 및 조직몰입

        Purpose: This study explored the relationships among resilience, job stress, and organizational commitment in ICU nurses. Further, the possibility of the application of resilience to the hospital environment was evaluated to provide basic data for program development to improve resilience and to promote nurses' commitment to their organizations. Methods: Data were collected from 174 ICU nurses at A University Hospital. The cross-sectional descriptive survey was conducted using a structured questionnaire. Results: The mean resilience score was $2.41{\pm}0.47$ out of 4. The mean score for job stress was $3.60{\pm}0.36$ out of 5, and that for organizational commitment was $3.25{\pm}0.55$ out of 5. Analysis of the relationships between the participants' resilience and organizational commitment indicated a significantly positive correlation (r=.45, p<.001). According to the general characteristics, organizational commitment levels showed a significant difference according to the ICU type (F=1.38, p<.001). Conclusion: It may beconcluded that the important individual factor of resilience had a positive influence on organizational commitment. Thus, resilience should be actively promoted, and a program should be developed to enhance the resilience of ICU nurses.

        노인 암환자의 건강관련 삶의 질 영향요인: 2015년 한국의료패널 자료 분석

        Purpose: This study aimed to examine factors influencing health-related quality of life (HRQOL) and compare them between young-aged and old-aged patients with cancer. Methods: Data of 291 patients (young-aged: 168, old-aged: 123) were obtained from the 10th wave of the 2015 Korea Health Panel Survey. The HRQOL was measured using the Korean version of Euro-QoL-5D. Independent t-test, analysis of variance, and multiple regression analysis were performed to identify factors influencing HRQOL. Results: The average HRQOL score was 0.87±0.10 and 0.82±0.15 among young-aged and old-aged, respectively. The factors differed partially between the two groups. For young-aged, the influencing factors were activity restriction, subjectively perceived health status, and smoking. For old-aged, the influencing factors were activity restriction, subjective health status, and unmet healthcare needs. Conclusion: Strategies to improve the HRQOL of elderly adults need to be developed considering the age group. Additionally, studies that include clinical factors such as symptoms are required to prepare need-based practical approaches for better quality of life of such patients.

        보건소 방문간호사의 전문직 간호역량

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify professional competencies of visiting nurses in public health centers. Methods: A methodological study for the development of visiting nurses' professional competency was conducted through the review of literature and construction of a conceptual framework for the development of professional competence. After reviewing the content validity of each question and confirming the items of the preliminary tool, the construct validity of the tool was verified through exploratory factor analysis and internal reliability was confirmed. Results: After constructing 5 factors relating to the visiting nurse's professional competence, 25 items were developed, based on verification of content validity by experts. The results of the exploratory factor analysis showed that the professional competence of the visiting nurse was influenced by factors such as "health assessment and screening," "health teaching and counseling," "interprofessional communication", "program planning and implementation", and "Professional development". These five factors accounted for 76.38% of the professional competencies of the visiting nurse. Conclusion: The professional competence of the visiting nurse is consistent with the aim of the visiting nursing project. Also our results will contribute to baseline data used to evaluate the quality of work of the visiting nurse.

        신입간호사의 회복탄력성, 직무스트레스 및 소진

        Purpose: The purpose of the present study was to identify correlations between resilience, job stress, and burnout in new nurses. Methods: The participants were recruited from a university hospital. All participants (N=87) were new nurses whose clinical experience was 12 month and less. We gathered data regarding demographics, resilience, job stress, and the incidence of burnout among the nurses using structured questionnaires. We analyzed the data using t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation, coefficien and multiple regression analyses. Results: Resilience of the nurses was negatively correlated with job stress (r=-.377, p<.001) and burnout (r=-.568, p<.001), while job stress was positively correlated with burnout (r=.511, p<.001). Resilience and job stress explained 42.5% of the variance in nurses' burnout ($R^2$=.425, F=37.071, p<.001). Conclusion: These results of the present study indicate that the management programs to address job stress and resilience for new nurses should be needed to reduce the burnout among them.
