An Inter-Ethnic Comparison Study of Ziprasidone Plasma Levels, Dosage and Clinical Response in Patients with Schizophrenia

        Dongsheng Lv,Meirong Zhao,Lixia Chen,Dongsheng Yu,Xiaobin Yun,Qing Yang,Xiaojun Huang 대한신경정신의학회 2017 PSYCHIATRY INVESTIGATION Vol.14 No.3

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate ziprasidone plasma concentration, daily dose and clinical efficacy and safety in Han Chinese and Mongolian patients with first-episode schizophrenia. Methods: A total of 123 inpatients affected by schizophrenia were recruited from the Mental Health Center of Inner Mongolia in China. Ziprasidone plasma concentration, clinical efficacy and side effects were systematically evaluated at baseline, and at 1, 2, 4, and 6 weeks. Metabolic measures such as changes in weight, body mass index (BMI), fasting blood glucose (FBG), triglycerides, and cholesterol, were also recorded. Results: 90 patients completed the study. Compared with Han patients, on average, Mongolian patients received a significantly higher ziprasidone dosage for adequate symptom control during the 6-week period and had a lower plasma concentration-to-dose ratio. The Mongolian patients also experienced greater increases in weight and BMI. No significant differences between the two ethnic groups were found in the rate of reduction in the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) score, Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale (TESS) total score, FBG, triglycerides, cholesterol or Q-Tc interval. Conclusion: Compared to Han Chinese patients, Mongolian patients appeared to have increased ziprasidone clearance and require higher doses to achieve effective treatment for schizophrenia.

        δ-primary Ideals of Commutative Rings

Zhao Dongsheng KYUNGPOOK UNIVERSITY 2001 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.41 No.1

In this paper we investigate δ-primary ideals which unify prime ideals and primary ideals. A number of main results about prime ideals and primary ideals are extended into this general framework. Prime ideals and primary ideals are two of the most important structures in commu- tative algebra. Although different from each other in many aspects, they share quite a number of similar properties as well( see [1] ). However, these two structures have been treated rather differently, and all of their properties were proved separately. It is therefore natural to examine whether it is possible to have a unified approach to studying these two structures. In this short paper we introduce the notion of δ-primary ideals where δ is a mapping that assigns to each ideal I an ideal δ (I) of the same ring. Such δ-primary ideals unify the prime and primary ideals under one frame. This approach clearly reveals how similar the two structures are and how they are related to each other. In the first section, we introduce ideal expansion and define primary ideals with respect to such an expansion. Besides the familiar expansions δ_(0),δ₁and B, we also have a new expansion M de?ned by means of maximal ideals. In the second section, we investigate ideal expansions satisfying some additional conditions and prove more properties of the generalized primary ideals with respect to such expansions. In this paper, all the rings used are commutative rings with an multiplication identity and all the ring homomorphisms preserve the identity. We shall use Id(R) to denote the set of all ideals of the ring R.

Reflexive Index of a Family of Sets

Zhao, Dongsheng Department of Mathematics 2014 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.54 No.2

As a further study on reflexive families of subsets, we introduce the reflexive index for a family of subsets of a given set and show that the index of a finite family of subsets of a finite or countably infinite set is always finite. The reflexive indices of some special families are also considered.

Dynamic processes of hyporheic exchange and temperature distribution in the riparian zone in response to dam-induced water fluctuations

        Dongsheng Liu,Jian Zhao,Xiaobing Chen,Yingyu Li,Shipan Weiyan,Mengmeng Feng 한국지질과학협의회 2018 Geosciences Journal Vol.22 No.3

We examined the dynamic processes of hyporheic exchange and temperature distribution in a riparian zone in response to low-temperature water fluctuations downstream of the Xin’an River Dam, China, using analytical and mainly hydrodynamic methods. For this purpose, we installed six HM21 piezometers (R, P1–P5) between the river water and the groundwater at an interval of approximately 2 m perpendicular to the flow path. We also installed 20 PT100 thermistors (T1–T20) along the transect at depths of 1.19 m to 3.58 m and monitored the temperatures of river and air. Water levels and temperatures were automatically logged every 5 min by the real-time system from November to December 2014 and sent to the remote platform through the remote terminal unit. Results revealed that the intensity and direction of the hyporheic exchange (Q) between the river water and the groundwater varied periodically (t = 1 d) with the water level of the river. In each cycle, the Q was in a counterclockwise loop curve with the water level of the river and with the non-uniform distribution along the transect perpendicular to the river, which showed that the farther the lateral exchange was away from the river, the lower its intensity and the more hysteretic the alteration of its direction. The daily exchange width and residence time had no necessary connection with the average river stage, but mainly depended on the amplitude of the fluctuating river stage and the duration of river infiltration and established a strong linear relationship with their product. The temperature distribution of the riparian aquifer was mainly affected by the surface radiation and river water infiltration. It was characterized as “cool on the surface and warm at the bottom” in the vertical direction and could be divided into low-, medium-, and high-temperature zones along the horizontal direction. The horizontal infiltration distance (L) increased by power functions with the increase in infiltration rate (v) and decrease in river temperature (T).

Robust Fault Diagnosis Observer Design for Uncertain Switched Systems

        Dongsheng Du,Yue Yang,Huanyu Zhao,Yushun Tan 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2020 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.18 No.12

In order to improve the fault diagnosis theory of switched systems, observer-based method is proposed to deal with the fault diagnosis issue subjected to the parameter uncertainty, unknown process disturbances and unexpected faults. By employing proportional-integral observer (PIO) technique and the average dwell-time (ADT) method, an H∞/H− performance level is considered to ensure the worst case of robustness to the disturbance and sensitivity to the fault simultaneously. Moreover, the obtained fault diagnosis observer can give accurate fault estimation online for the piecewise constant fault. Finally, a two-tank system example is introduced in the end to show the effectiveness of the proposed results.

Consensus for a Class of Sampled-data Heterogeneous Multi-agent Systems

        Huanyu Zhao,Lei Wang,Hongbiao Zhou,Dongsheng Du 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2021 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.19 No.5

This paper investigates the problem of consensus for one kind of sampled-data heterogeneous multiagent system. We first discretize the continuous-time networked system by the method of sampled-data. Then we use a system transformation to transform the multi-agent system into the reduced-order error system. Two consensus algorithms with and without velocity measurement will be considered respectively. We obtain two sufficient conditions for the networked systems with and without velocity measurement to reach consensus through analyzing the stable problem of the reduced-order systems. Simulations are given to verify the effectiveness of the results.

      • A method for in-situ measurement of grid impedance and load impedance at 2 k – 150 kHz

        Junzhe Tan,Dongsheng Zhao,Braham Ferreira 전력전자학회 2015 ICPE(ISPE)논문집 Vol.2015 No.6

A new approach to measure the grid and load impedance of converters in-situ at frequency range 2 k ? 150 kHz has been developed. It is called three-probe approach. This approach allows impedance measurements of power supplies and electric appliances without interrupting their normal operations. The measurement accuracy is improved by proper Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) process to obtain both amplitude and phase information in the measurement. With the proposed setup, the equivalent model consisting of both resistive and reactive components can be derived to represent the grid and load in this frequency range. Grid impedance at different locations and load impedance of various solid state lamps and a SMPS are measured and the results are shown in the paper.

Helicobacter pylori inhibited cell proliferation in human periodontal ligament fibroblasts through the Cdc25C/CDK1/cyclinB1 signaling cascade

        Huanying Li,Dongsheng Liang,Naiming Hu,Xingzhu Dai,Jianing He,Hongmin Zhuang,Wanghong Zhao 대한치주과학회 2019 Journal of Periodontal & Implant Science Vol.49 No.3

Purpose: Several studies have shown that the oral cavity is a secondary location for Helicobacter pylori colonization and that H. pylori is associated with the severity of periodontitis. This study investigated whether H. pylori had an effect on the periodontium. We established an invasion model of a standard strain of H. pylori in human periodontal ligament fibroblasts (hPDLFs), and evaluated the effects of H. pylori on cell proliferation and cell cycle progression. Methods: Different concentrations of H. pylori were used to infect hPDLFs, with 6 hours of co-culture. The multiplicity of infection in the low- and high-concentration groups was 10:1 and 100:1, respectively. The Cell Counting Kit-8 method and Ki-67 immunofluorescence were used to detect cell proliferation. Flow cytometry, quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction, and western blots were used to detect cell cycle progression. In the high-concentration group, the invasion of H. pylori was observed by transmission electron microscopy. Results: It was found that H. pylori invaded the fibroblasts, with cytoplasmic localization. Analyses of cell proliferation and flow cytometry showed that H. pylori inhibited the proliferation of periodontal fibroblasts by causing G2 phase arrest. The inhibition of proliferation and G2 phase arrest were more obvious in the high-concentration group. In the low-concentration group, the G2 phase regulatory factors cyclin dependent kinase 1 (CDK1) and cell division cycle 25C (Cdc25C) were upregulated, while cyclin B1 was inhibited. However, in the high-concentration group, cyclin B1 was upregulated and CDK1 was inhibited. Furthermore, the deactivated states of tyrosine phosphorylation of CDK1 (CDK1-Y15) and serine phosphorylation of Cdc25C (Cdc25C-S216) were upregulated after H. pylori infection. Conclusions: In our model, H. pylori inhibited the proliferation of hPDLFs and exerted an invasive effect, causing G2 phase arrest via the Cdc25C/CDK1/cyclin B1 signaling cascade. Its inhibitory effect on proliferation was stronger in the high-concentration group.

Modification of biomass furan-based PEF copolyester with glycerol

        Chengzhi Liu,Dongsheng Zhao,Maliang Zhang,Kunmei Su,Zhenhuan Li 한국고분자학회 2024 Macromolecular Research Vol.32 No.1

In order to solve the problem of low molecular weight in the synthesis of poly(ethylene 2,5-furandicarboxylate) (PEF) copolyester with titanium-based catalysts, this paper introduce an appropriate amount of glycerol (GC) into PEF to branch the straight chain polyester though the transesterification-melt polycondensation method, which solve the problem of low resin viscosity and low molecular weight. The structures of the copolymers were characterized by 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR, and the results showed that the modified PEF copolyesters and poly(ethylene-co-glycerol 2,5-furandicarboxylate) (PEGFs) were successfully prepared. The intrinsic viscosity ([η]) of PEGFs copolyesters was characterized by Ubbelohde viscosity, and the results showed that the copolyester [η] was increased from 0.25 dL/g to 0.755 dL/g. The thermal properties of copolyester were characterized by differential scanning calorimetry and thermo gravimetry, and it was found that the glass transition temperature of PEGFs copolyester increased from 67.8 °C to 89.5 °C, and the maximum pyrolysis rate temperature increased from 386.6 °C to 402.8 °C. We characterized the UV resistance of PEGFs copolyester, and the results showed that PEGFs copolyester could be well degraded under ultraviolet light.
