        Dual-Coupled Inductor High Gain DC/DC Converter with Ripple Absorption Circuit

        High-gain DC/DC converters have become one of the key technologies for the grid-connected operation of new energy power generation, and its research provides a significant impetus for the rapid development of new energy power generation. Inspired by the transformer effect and the ripple-suppressed ability of a coupled inductor, a double-coupled inductor high gain DC/DC converter with a ripple absorption circuit is proposed in this paper. By integrating the diode-capacitor voltage multiplying unit into the quadratic Boost converter and assembling the independent inductor into the magnetic core of structure coupled inductors, the adjustable range of the voltage gain can be effectively extended and the limit on duty ratio can be avoided. In addition, the volume of the magnetic element can be reduced. Very small ripples of input current can be obtained by the ripple absorption circuit, which is composed of an auxiliary inductor and a capacitor. The leakage inductance loss can be recovered to the load in a switching period, and the switching-off voltage spikes caused by leakage inductance can be suppressed by absorption in the diode-capacitor voltage multiplying unit. On the basis of the theoretical analysis, the feasibility of the proposed converter is verified by test results obtained by simulations and an experimental prototype.

        Keratin/PEO/hydroxyapatite Nanofiber Membrane with Improved Mechanical Property for Potential Burn Dressing Application

        Keratin, as a promising substitute for tissue engineering due to its excellent biocompatibility and bioactivity, is used to combine one or more other polymers together. However, compound nanofibers with high keratin content (normally>90 wt.%) may result in the poor elongation of nanofiber membranes such as wound dressing. In this work, different ratios of hydroxyapatites (HA) modified by sodium hexametaphosphate were blended with keratin/polyethylene oxide (PEO) spinning solution to produce reinforced keratin blend nanofiber nonwoven membranes as a potential candidate wound dressing. The tensile strength of keratin blend nanofiber membrane with 15 % modified HA addition was two times higher than that without HA. The morphologies and chemical structure of keratin/PEO/HA nanofiber membranes were investigated using SEM, FTIR, and TG. The biocompatibility and the burn repairing performance of keratin/PEO/HA nanofiber mat were also investigated by cell culture and animal burn model. The results showed that the Keratin/PEO/HA nanofiber membranewas beneficial to enhance the proliferation of L929 cell, exhibiting an advantages in reducing inflammatory response in the infective stage and enhancing skin repairing process in the following recover stages. Our data suggested that keratin/PEO/HA nanofiber membrane could serve as a promising burn dressing for treatment of the skin burn.

        Dynamic control stability analysis of pipeline intelligent plugging robot in its deceleration and precise positioning

        In order to realize the precise positioning of the tools in the pipeline repair operation, solve the problems of the traditional throttle speed control, such as slow response, long deceleration distance and so on, this paper explores a deceleration process of a pipeline intelligent plugging robot (PIPR) that relies on the friction between slips and the pipe, and establishes its dynamic model based on fuzzy PID force servo control. The influence of PIPR initial velocity, expected deceleration distance, accumulator setting on the response time, positioning accuracy, overshoot and stability during deceleration is analyzed, and the results show that: as the initial velocity increases, the time for slips to contact the pipe decreases, the overshoot of the centroid acceleration gradually increases, the maximum overshoot is -3.4 m/s 2 , the control time of the deceleration process is within 30 s, the positioning accuracy is within 5 %; the expected deceleration distance has a greater impact on the positioning accuracy of the system than the initial velocity; and the accumulator setting has little effect on the positioning accuracy and stability of the system. These studies provide guidance for the design of pipeline robot speed control and positioning system.

        Preliminary Report on the Breeding of Robust and Resistant-NPV and High Quality Silkworm Race "Shengming No.1" for Summer-autumn Rearing

        Seveval Chinese and Japanese varieties with good characters were used in the breeding. After 5 years (15 generations), a pair of robust and high quality silkworm variety with NPV resistance was bred by means of a combination of crossing and pedigree selection complemented by the selection of NPV resistance. The variety was identified jointly nationwide in 2003 and 2004, and appraised by National Mulberry and Silkworm Appraising Committee. Results are as follows: its cocooning rate is over 93%, shell rate 23-25%, filament length 1200-1300 meters, reelability 75-88%, Length of non-broken cocoon filament 900-1100 meters, raw silk rate 17-19%, neatness 95-97 points, and cocoon crop, cocoon shell weight and raw silk weight per 10 000 larvae is higher than those of the control variety by 7-10%, 14-19% and 14-18%, respectively. The variety is not only robust, resistant to high temperature and NPV, easy to rear, uniform in hatching, molting and maturing, but also lays more eggs, and its fecundity is high. It is suitable to rear in the Yangtze River Basin, the Yellow River basin and the Pearl River basin of China.

        Gut Microbiota Alteration Influences Colorectal Cancer Metastasis to the Liver by Remodeling the Liver Immune Microenvironment

        Background/Aims:This study aimed to explore the effect of gut microbiota-regulated Kupffer cells (KCs) on colorectal cancer (CRC) liver metastasis. Methods: A series of in vivo and in vitro researches were showed to demonstrate the gut microbiota and its possible mechanism in CRC liver metastasis. Results: Fewer liver metastases were identified in the ampicillin-streptomycin-colistin and colistin groups. Increased proportions of Parabacteroides goldsteinii, Bacteroides vulgatus, Bacteroides thetaiotaomicron, and Bacteroides uniformis were observed in the colistin group. The significant expansion of KCs was identified in the ampicillin-streptomycin-colistin and colistin groups. B. vulgatus levels were positively correlated with KC levels. More liver metastases were observed in the vancomycin group. An increased abundance of Parabacteroides distasonis and Proteus mirabilis and an obvious reduction of KCs were noted in the vancomycin group. P. mirabilis levels were negatively related to KC levels. The number of liver metastatic nodules was increased in the P. mirabilis group and decreased in the B. vulgatus group. The number of KCs decreased in the P. mirabilis group and increased in the B. vulgatus group. In vitro, as P. mirabilis or B. vulgatus doses increased, there was an opposite effect on KC proliferation in dose- and time-dependent manners. P. mirabilis induced CT26 cell migration by controlling KC proliferation, whereas B. vulgatus prevented this migration. Conclusions: An increased abundance of P. mirabilis and decreased amount of B. vulgatus play key roles in CRC liver metastasis, which might be related to KC reductions in the liver.

        Rodenticide Poisoning in a Cocker Spaniel Dog

        A dead Cocker Spaniel, a one-year-old male, was presented from a local animal hospital to the College of Veterinary Medicine, Kyungpook National University with a history of vomiting right after the ingestion of the anti-coagulant rodenticide 14 days before. At necropsy, the thorax was filled with uncoagulated blood and the thymus was markedly hemorrhagic. Hemorrhages were also found in the subcutaneous or mesenteric adipose tissues and the submucosal layers of the intestine and stomach. The spleen was atrophied. In microscopy, hemorrhages were detected in the thymus, submucose of the stomach and intestine, and adipose tissues around several organs such as the heart, kidney, and intestines. However, hemorrhages, were not detected in lungs. Centrilobular necrosis was observed in the liver. In conclusion, the cause of death was severe hemorrhages, which might have been due to the reabsorption of a small amount of anti-coagulant rodenticide that still remained in the body after vomiting. Therefore, the diagnosis was decided as intoxication with anti-coagulant rodenticide.

        HER-2/neu Protein Expression in Canine Mammary Adenocarcinoma

        개에서의 유선 종양진단은 총 49 case 중에서 Human epidermal growth factor receptor (HER-2/neu, c-erbB-2), Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), Activated leukocyte cell adhesion molecule (ALCAM) 등 면역조직화학적염색법을 실시하였다. 우선 49 case를 두 그룹으로 즉: 양성종양그룹 (22 case)과 악성종양그룹 (27case)으로 구분하였다. 면역조직화학적염색법의 분석결과 HER-2/neu의 발현은 양성종양에서는 31.8% (7/22), 악성종양에서는 29.6% (8/27)의 발현율을 보였고, EGFR의 발현은 양성종양에서는 27.3% (6/22), 악성종양에서는 22.2% (6/27)의 발현율을 보였으며, ALCAM의 발현은 양성종양에서는 40.9% (9/22), 악성종양에서는 7.4%(2/27)의 발현율을 보였다. 결론적으로 개에서의 유선종양진단의 발현율은 사람에서 보고된 것(25%~30%)과 비슷하게 나타났으며 임상진단분야에서 HER-2/neu 항체로 개에서의 유선종양진단에서 유용한 평가수단으로 적용될 수 있으리라 사료된다. In this study to evaluate the involvement of EGFR, HER-2/neu and ALCAM (CD166) oncogene products in canine mammary neoplastic lesions, sections of archived paraffin-embedded samples of 49 mammary tumors were analyzed immunohistochemically using antibodies against human EGFR and HER-2/neu and ALCAM. These 49 tumors were divided into 2 groups: 22 benign (19 adenoma, 3 benign mixed tumors) and 27 malignant tumors (2 simple adenocarcinomas, 5 complex adenocarcinomas, 3 solid carcinoma, 5 sclerosing carcinoma, 8 malignant mixed tumors and 4 malignant myoepithelioma). As a result of immunostaining, 31.8% (7/22) of the benign tumors and 29.6% (8/27) of the malignant tumors expressed the HER-2/neu oncogene product, EGFR expression was detected in 27.3% (6/22) of benign tumors and in 22.2% (6/27) of the malignant tumors. ALCAM expression was detected in 40.9% (9/22) of benign tumors and in 7.4% (2/27) of the malignant tumors. These results suggest that some of the biological and morphological characteristics of the tumor are associated with canine mammary gland tumors, as also reported for human breast cancer, the possibility of using anti-HER-2/neu antibodies in the treatment of canine mammary tumors.
