      • 화학요법에 의한 설암조직의 CD34의 변화

        Despite enormous progress in current chemotherapeutic approaches for cancer, there is not advances of prognosis in malignant tumor of head and neck. Especially the prognosis in tongue cancer patients with well developed vessel is poor. Therefore, it is very important to distinguish the patient with infiltrating tumor and to find tumor marker which can play key role in effective strategy for cancer treatment. Because there is little report of CD34 as prognostic marker in tongue cancer, this study was performed to investigate the alteration of CD34 expression in tumor specimens from eleven patients with tongue cancers before and after chemotherapy. In this study, CD34 was expressed in endothelial cells of mature vessels, especially in micro-vessels, which located in tumor parenchymal tissue. In the specimens after chemotherapy, the expression of CD34 was decreased, suggest that chemotherapy inhibit the angiogenesis. Taking above, the alteration of CD34 expression in tongue cancer tissue by chemotherapy suggests that CD34 potentially are expected to use in tongue cancer as prognostic factors

        Recent trends, the major objective of this investigation was to examine the effect on judo players achievement goal orientation of middle and high school on attribution styles. Subjects were 107 judo players in the middle and high school. Tools were used to TEOSQ and attribution scale. Results revealed that when they perceived task as success, task-and ego-directed goal orientation had significant effect on effort and ability respectively. This results were discussed in terms of the three-dimensional achievement goal orientation, earned helplessness, and implicit theory of Dweck(1988) as future studies.

        In this paper was studied on the mechanical characteristics of Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastics(GFRP) of the steel bar it is to replace The advantage of FRP such as high strength low weight and chemical inertness or noncorrosiveness can be fully exploited. GFRP bar were successfully fabricated at 10mm nominal diameters and hollow types using a pultrusion method Tensile and bending specimens from this bar were tested and compared with behavior of GFRP rebar and steel bar.

      • 연속 섬유강화 복합재료 리바 개발에 관한 연구

        This paper describes the need for a ductile Fiber Reinforced Plastic(FRP) reinforcement for concrete structures. Using the material hybrid and geometric hybrid, it is demonstrated that the pseudo-ductility characteristic can be generated in FRP rebar. Ductile hybrid FRP bars were successfully fabricated at 4mm and 10mm nominal diameters using an hand lay up method. Tensile specimens from these bars were tested and compared with behavior of FRP rebar and steel bar. The summarized results are as follows : The tensile strength of CFRP, KFRP and GFRP rebar with nominal diameter ψ4mm, respectively, showed 91.7kg/mm^2, 66.5kg/mm^2, 53.6kg/mm^2. The tensile strength of CFRP, KFRP, GFRP rebar with nominal diameter ψ10mm by the hand lay up method, respectively, showed 125.4kg/mm^2, 54.1kg/mm^2, 46kg/mm^2.

        한국에서 도래하는 황금새(Ficedula narcissina)의 형태적 특징과 이동 양상에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 황금새(Ficedula narcissina)의 여러 아종 중 한국에 도래하는 아종의 형태학적 특징과 봄·가을 이동 양상을 파악하기 위해 2005년 4월부터 2008년 5월까지 전남 신안군 홍도와 대흑산도, 일본 이리오모테섬에서 각각 실시하였다. 형태학적 분류 결과 한국에 규칙적으로 도래하는 아종은 F. n. narcissina이었으며, 한국 미기록 아종인 F. n. elisae와 F. n. owstoni의 기록을 확인하였다. 황금새 성조 수컷은 아종간 형태적인 차이가 명확하였지만 미성숙한 개체와 암컷 형태를 띠는 개체는 아종간 매우 비슷한 특징을 보였다. 1회 여름깃 수컷의 경우 아종 F. n. narcissina는 월동지에서 부분 깃털갈이를 하여 성조 수컷과 비슷한 반면, 아종 F. n. elisae는 태어난 이듬해 여름까지 깃털갈이를 하지 않아 성조 수컷과 형태적으로 뚜렷이 다르며, 오히려 성조 암컷과 비슷한 특징을 보였다. 이같은 형태적 다양성과 깃털같이 전략의 차이 때문에 한국을 통과하는 개체군의 아종 분류가 매우 어려운 것으로 보인다. 조사기간 중 황금새의 가장 빠른 도래일은 4월 13일, 가장 늦은 도래일은 5월 17일로 나타났으며, 가장 많은 개체수가 통과하는 시기는 4월 하순으로서 2008년 4월 24일에는 14개체가 관찰되었다. 그러나 황금새는 봄철과 달리 가을 남하 시기에는 전혀 관찰되지 않아 봄·가을 이동경로를 달리할 가능성이 있음을 보였다. From April 2005 to May 2008, morphological traits and migratory patterns among the subspecies of the Narcissus Flycatcher (Ficedula narcissina) were studied at Hong Island and Heuksan Island in Korea, and at Iriomote Island in Japan. The regular migrants was F. n. narcissina in Korea, but two unreported subspecies, F. n. elisae and F. n. owstoni were also recorded in Heuksan Island, Korea. In our study, Narcissus Flycatchers were spring migrants observed from 13 April to 17 May, and a total of 14 individuals was recorded as a peak day count on 14 April 2008. However, there was no record in the autumn migratory seasons in Korea. This result suggests that the Narcissus Flycatcher is probably an elliptical migratory species which uses different routes in spring northward and autumn southward migrations. In morphology, adult males had distinct morphological differences, but immature and female-typed individuals had very similar plumages among subspecies. First summer F. n. narcissina underwent partial moults in wintering places and became very similar in appearance to adult males. In 'contrast, because F. n. elisae does not undergo partial moults until the summer of the 2nd calendar year, immature males of F. n. elisae were very resemble not adult males but adult females in appearance. Such morphological variances and differences in moulting strategies among subspecies often prevented the identification of Narcissus Flycatchers to the subspecies level.

      • 화학요법에 의한 설암조직의 CD44의 변화

        Despite enormous progress in current chemotherapeutic approaches for cancer, there is no advances of prognosis in malignant tumor of head and neck. Especially the prognosis in tongue cancer in which vessels are well developed is bad. Therefore, it is very important to distinguish the patient with infiltrating tumor and to find tumor marker which can play a key role in effective strategy for cancer treatment. Because there is little report about CD44 as prognostic marker in tongue cancer, this study was performed to investigate the alteration of CD44 expression in tumor specimens from eleven patients with tongue cancers before and after chemotherapy. In this study, CD44 was expressed strongly in spinous layer of specimen before chemotherapy and the expression of CD44 decreased significantly after chemotherapy, suggesting that the expression of CD44 is related with metastasis of tongue cancer. Taking above, the alteration of CD44 expression in tongue cancer tissue by chemotherapy suggests that CD44 are potentially expected to use in tongue cancer as prognostic factors.

      • 수분흡수가 섬유강화 고분자 복합판의 기계적 성질에 미치는 영향

        Nowadays, it is common and becoming more popular to use fiber-reinforced polymeric composites(FRP) in order to reduce the lightweight of the structures such as marine vehicles, automobiles and airplane. It investigates the residual strength characteristics of composite under the environment of high temperature and humidity. The residual strength of FRP is known to be greatly influenced by temperature, humidity etc. In this context, the hygrothermal effect of changing the fiber contents and orientation are investigated in order to provide better residual strength characteristics. When exposed long terms in high temperature and humidity, the randomly oriented composites is to be more stable than the unidirection one.

      • 화상처리에 의한 춉트 스트랜드 섬유배향의 분포측정

        In order to examine the accuracy of intensity method, the fiber orientation distribution of chopped strand reinforced polymeric composites is measured using image processing. Theoretical and experimental results of fiber orientation function are compared with each other for the composites having different fiber content and fiber orientations. An intensity method is used for the experimental investigation and the measured fiber orientation function is compared to the calculated one. The results show that, firstly, the feature of fiber orientation can be represented and identified by the fiber orientation function J measured and theoretical fiber orientation functions, J_(M) and J, respectively and related as J_(M)=0.73J. Secondly, as far as the measuring of fiber orientation is concerned, the intensity method is, in general, found to be quite effective due to its feature of using the intensity difference in the measuring ranges. Finally, the accuracy of the method increases when the fiber with less clash is considered.

        Glucose Oxidase가 척수지각신경절세포에 미치는 영향과 천마의 효과에 관한 연구

        Objectives : To clarify the cytotoxic effect of glucose oxidase(GO) and protective effect of gastrodiae Rhizoma (GR) on spinal sensory ganglion(DRG) neurons, neurotoxicity mediated by GO was measured by MTT assay and neurofilament enzymeimmuno assay(EIA). Methods : DRG neurons were cultured in the media containing various concentrations of GO for 3 hours. In addition, neuroprotective effects of GR, on GO-induced neurotoxicity in DRG neurons were examined after DRG neurons were preincubated with various concentrations of GR for 2 hours before 15mU/ml GO for 3 hours. Results : GO decreased remarkably cell viability in dependently in these cultures, and also RG increased cell viability and amount of neurofilament in DRG neurons damaged by GO. Conclusion : It is suggested that GO has toxic effect in cultured mouse DRG neurons, and also RG was effective in the protection of GO-induced neurotoxicity in these cultures.

        백서 뇌의 정상 노화와 병적 노화 과정의 조직학적 차이 및 약물효과

        Objectives : Besides of malnutrition and neurotoxic effect of alcohol on the prefrontal cortex or subcortical structures, premature aging may be involved in alcohol-induced cognitive disorders. The aims of this study were to evaluate the effect of alcohol on short-term memory function and histology, and to identify the drug responses and an association with aging process to understand a biological mechanism underlying alcoholic dementia. Methods: In experiment 1, T-maze tests were done in 5 aged controls and 5 atropine-treated rats. In experiment 2, T-maze tests were repeated on every week for a month in 5 normal adult and 5 ethanol-treated rats. In experiment 3, T-maze tests were repeated on every week for a month in seven groups of 5 ethanol-treated rats injected with normal saline, fluoxetine, bromocriptine, bethacholine, nimodipine, clonidine and ketamine. After completion of behavioral tests rats were sacrificed by the intracardiac perfusion with phosphate buffered 10% formaldehyde solution, and the brain specimen was stained with hematoxylin-eosin to count cells in prefrontal cortex and hippocampus. Results: 1) Cell numbers of hippocampus(CA1, CA3 and dentate gyrus) and prefrontal cortex were reduced in ethanol-treated rats(P<0.05) without significant changes on T-maze tests. 2)Cell numbers of hippocampus(CA1, CA3 and dentate gyrus) and prefrontal cortex were recovered by bethacholine(P<0.05), while those of hippocampus raised by bromocriptine and clonidine(P<0.05 respectively). There were no significant changes on T-maze tests. 3) Cell numbers of prefrontal cortex in ethanol-treated rats were correlated with those of atropine-treated(r=0.977,P<0.001), and of normal aged(r=0.448, P<0.05) rats. Conclusions : Alcohol-induced memory disorder might be mainly related with cholinergic system as well as adrenergic or dopaminergic ones. Pathological aging process could be involved in a mechanism underlying alcoholic dementia.
