        Evolution of two-dimensional plasma parameters in the plane of the wafer during the E- to H- and H- to E-mode transition in an inductively coupled plasma

        <P>The evolution of plasma parameters during the transition from E- to H- and from H- to E-mode is measured at the wafer level two-dimensionally at low and high pressures. The plasma parameters, such as electron density and electron temperature, are obtained through a floating harmonic sideband method. During the E- to H-mode transition, while the electron kinetics remains in the non-local regime at low pressure, the electron kinetics is changed from the non-local to the local regime at high pressure. The two-dimensional profiles of the electron density at two different pressures have similar convex shape despite different electron kinetics. However, in the case of the electron temperature, at high pressure, the profiles of the electron temperature are changed from flat to convex shape. These results can be understood by the diffusion of the plasma to the wafer-level probe. Moreover, between the transition of E to H and reverse H to E, hysteresis is observed even at the wafer level. The hysteresis is clearly shown at high pressure compared to low pressure. This can be explained by a variation of collisional energy loss including effects of electron energy distribution function (bi-Maxwellian, Maxwellian, Druyvesteyn distribution) on the rate constant and multistep ionization of excited state atoms. During the E- to H-mode transition, Maxwellization is caused by increased electron−electron collisions, which reduces the collisional energy loss at high pressure (Druyvesteyn distribution) and increases it at low pressure (bi-Maxwellian distribution). Thus, the hysteresis is intensified at high pressure because the reduced collisional energy loss leads to higher ionization efficiency.</P>

        Rodenticide Poisoning in a Cocker Spaniel Dog

        A dead Cocker Spaniel, a one-year-old male, was presented from a local animal hospital to the College of Veterinary Medicine, Kyungpook National University with a history of vomiting right after the ingestion of the anti-coagulant rodenticide 14 days before. At necropsy, the thorax was filled with uncoagulated blood and the thymus was markedly hemorrhagic. Hemorrhages were also found in the subcutaneous or mesenteric adipose tissues and the submucosal layers of the intestine and stomach. The spleen was atrophied. In microscopy, hemorrhages were detected in the thymus, submucose of the stomach and intestine, and adipose tissues around several organs such as the heart, kidney, and intestines. However, hemorrhages, were not detected in lungs. Centrilobular necrosis was observed in the liver. In conclusion, the cause of death was severe hemorrhages, which might have been due to the reabsorption of a small amount of anti-coagulant rodenticide that still remained in the body after vomiting. Therefore, the diagnosis was decided as intoxication with anti-coagulant rodenticide.

      • 로그 블록 간 병합을 이용한 효율적인 로그 버퍼 관리

        플래시 메모리는 이미 데이터가 기록된 섹터에 대해 덮어 쓰기 연산이 되지 않는 특징이 있다. 이러한 플래시 메모리의 특징을 극복하기 위해 로그 버퍼 관리 기법이 소개 되었다. 그러나 현재 까지 연구된 로그 버퍼 관리 기법들 중 BAST 기법은 쓰기 연산의 패턴이 임의 쓰기인 경우 잦은 병합 연산을 발생시키는 문제가 있으며, 이를 개선한 FAST 기법은 자주 갱신되는 데이터에 의해 빈번하게 발생되는 병합 연산을 고려하지 않았다. 본 논문에서는 새로운 로그 버퍼 관리 기법인 JBB를 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 로그 블록의 병합 가치를 평가하여 빈번하게 갱신이 발생하지 않는 데이터에 대해서 데이터 블록과의 병합연산을 수행하고, 빈번하게 갱신되는 데이터에 대해 데이터 블록과의 병합을 최대한 지연한다. 이를 통해 불필요한 데이터 블록의 병합 연산을 방지하여 플래시 메모리의 소거 횟수를 크게 감소시켰고, 공간 활용을 극대화 하였다. 로그 버퍼 관리 기법의 대표적인 기법인 BAST와 FAST와의 성능 비교를 통해 본 논문에서 제안하는 기법의 우수성을 증명하였다. Flash memory has rapidly deployed as data storage. However, the flash memory has a major disadvantage that recorded data cannot be dynamically overwritten. In order to solve this "erase-before-write" problem, the log block buffer scheme used Flash memory file system. however, the current managements of the log buffer, in case random write pattern, BAST technique have problem of frequent merge operation, but FAST technique don't consider merge operation by frequently updated data. Previous methods not consider merge operation cost and frequently updated data. In this paper, we propose a new log buffer management scheme, called JBB. Our proposed method evaluates the worth of the merge of log blocks, so we conducts the merge operation between infrequently updated data and its data blocks, and postpone the merge operation between frequently updated data and its data blocks. Through the method, we prevent the unnecessary merge operations, reduce the number of the erase operation, and improve the utilization of the flash memory storage. We show the superiority of our proposed method through the performance evaluation with BAST and FAST.

        갑상선기능항진증에 동반된 신경색과 비장경색 1예

        A 59-year-old female was admitted with left flank pain. She had heat intolerance and dyspnea for the last 3 years. She was diagnosed as having renal and splenic infarction. 2 phase computed tomography (CT) scan on abdomen and pelvis showed a non-enhancing portion at the anterior aspect of the left kidney and multifocal low density at the spleen. Laboratory examinations revealed TSH 0.0004 uIU/ mL, Free T4 2.69 ng/dL, T3 1.67 ng/mL, anti TPO antibody 207 U/mL (positive), anti TG antibody 52.7 U/mL (positive) and TSH receptor antibody >40 U/mL. A diagnosis of hyperthyroidism was made. Factor VIII activity increased over 160% (normal range 60-140), which has been known to increase in the cases of hyperthyroidism. Except for an increased factor VIII activity there were no thrombogenic abnormalities. She recovered well after the treatment with methimazole in addition to warfarin followed by intravenous heparin. This case is consistent with the assumption that hyperthyroidism, probably through a factor VIII-mediated hypercoagulability, may be a predisposing factor for the development of renal and splenic infarction.

      • 영구자석의 부분 감자를 고려한 매입형 영구 자석형 동기전동기의 최적 설계

        본 연구에서는 영구자석의 부분감자를 고려한 매입형 영구 자석형 동기전동기(Interior Perman ent Magnet Synchronous Machine. IPMSM)의 최적설계를 수행하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 공극 자석밀도를 높일 수 있는 장점으로 견인용 IPMSM에 많이 적용되고 있으나, 부분 감자 특성이 좋지 않은 V자형 영구자석 형상을 채택하였다. 또한 IPMSM의 기본모델을 설계 하였으며, 최대 감자 조건하에서의 보자력 증가를 목적함수로 Cogging 토크 저감과 최대 감자시의 토크와 역기전력의 유지를 제약함수로 선정하여 최적화를 수행하여 기본 모델과 최적 모델의 최대 감자조건하에서의 토크특성을 비교함으로써 연구의 타당성을 증명하였다.

      • 철도시스템의 EMI/EMC검증에 대한 고찰

        경량전철시스템의 EMI/EMC검증에 대한 내용은 “철도종합시험지침”의 “시설물 검증시험”에는 시설물의 정상작동 상태, 철도시설의 안전상태, 철도차량의 운행적합성, 철도시설과 차량 간의 연계성과 관련한 조항으로 구성되어 있으며 점검항목에도 “철도차량 운행에 따른 고조파 영향유무 확인”,“전철변전소 유도장애시험”을 시행하도록 항목화되어 있으나, 기기실 등 관련 고조파, 유도장애 외 집합적인 개소의 EMI/EMC 검증은 구체적으로 포함되어있지 않다. 본 논문은 집합적인 기기실, 신호기계실, 관제센터 및 기계실, 선로변설비, 검수고 설비 등 기기에 EMI/EMC 영향을 줄 수 있는 환경으로 주파수간섭으로 인한 오동작 등을 방지 하기 위한 검증방안에 대하여 논하였다. The EMI / EMC verification of the LRT system consists of relevant provisions, such as “normal operation, running suitability of vehicles, connectivity between railway facility and rolling stock” for facility verification test of the comprehensive running test system. The inspection is included in the checking of whether or not harmonic wave affect of the rolling stock running and induced lesion test of substation, however is not included in the harmonic wave of the equipment room and EMI/EMC verification of the complex places beyond induced lesion. In this paper, We will present the verification method for the prevention of malfunction according to frequency interference in the complex equipment room, signal equipment room, control center, inspection plant facility.

        The Nuclear Localization of Glycogen Synthase Kinase 3beta Is Required Its Putative PY-Nuclear Localization Sequences

        Glycogen synthase kinase-3(GSK-3), which is a mem-ber of the serine/threonine kinase family, has been shown to be crucial for cellular survival, differentiation, and metabolism. Here, we present evidence that GSK-3 is associated with the karyopherin 2 (Kap 2) (102-kDa), which functions as a substrate for transportation into the nucleus. A potential PY-NLS motif (109IVRLRYFFY117) was observed, which is similar with the consensus PY NLS motif (R/K/H)X2–5PY in the GSK-3 catalytic domain. Using a pull down approach, we observed that GSK-3 physically interacts with Kap 2 both in vivo and in vitro. Secondly, GSK-3 and Kap 2 were shown to be co-localized by confocal microscopy. The localization of GSK-3 to the nuclear region was disrupted by putative Kap 2 binding site mutation. Furthermore, in transient transfection assays, the Kap 2 binding site mutant induced a substantial reduction in the in vivo serine/threonine phosphorylation of GSK-3, where- as the GSK-3 wild type did not. Thus, our observations indicated that Kap 2 imports GSK-3 through its putative PY NLS motif from the cytoplasm to the nucleus and increases its kinase activity.
