난연성 FREP에 의한 철근콘크리트 보의 전단보강 성능평가

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the shear strengthening effects of the iFREP(incombustible Fiber Reinforced Epoxy Panel) to the reinforced concrete members and to provide the basic design recommendation for shear strengthening. The main variable were the thickness of iFREP, the amount of stirrup and the type of strengthening. Thirteen specimens were tested under static monotonic loading. From the test results, it was shown that the failure mode of RC beams which are strengthened by iFREP was governed by the delamination of iFREP. The shear capacity of beams strengthened by iFREP can be determined as the summation of the shear strengths provided by concrete, stirrup, and iFREP The shear strength by iFREP should be calculated based on the effective strain of iFREP. Also, the shear strengthening effects of specimen with two-side bonded iFREP is similar to those of specimen with three-side bonded iFREP (U-TYPE).

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the flexural strengthening performance of the iFREP(incombustible Fiber Reinforced Epoxy Panel) to the reinforced concrete flexural members. The tensile strength of iFREP including mechanical and physical properties of the epoxy resin for injection were tested preliminary to investigate the material properties of iFREP constitutions. Also the bond characteristics of iFREP to the concrete were estimated to acquire the basic design data for strengthening through various bonding tests. Finally full-scale RC beams strengthened by iFREP were tested monotonically upto failure to evaluate the strengthening effects of iFREP to the RC flextural members. The main variable of the four test specimens was the thickness of iFREP. From the test results, it was found that the failure mode of RC beams strengthened by iFREP was governed by the fracture of iFREP indicating the sufficient bond strength of iFREP to the concrete. Also flexural strengthening effects of iFREP to the RC beams is proportional to the thickness of iFREP.

For prevention of bacteremia and surgical field contamination, various concentration are used in preoperative skin preparation. Of these, povidone(PVP)-iodine has been known as one having believable effect. But, application of PVP-Ⅰon pral and maxillofacial field has some problems-skin discoloration, hypersensitivity, corneal irritation,etc. Therefore chlorhexidine has been tried to replace PVP-Ⅰ. More recent studies of antibacterial effect of chlorhexidine and PVP-Ⅰ has been achieved on the other field. The purpose of this study was to compare the antibactreial effect of two kinds of skin disinfectants used in oral and maxillofacial surgical field.-chlorhexidine and PVP-Ⅰ. We studied the 40 patients who have taken operation of orthognathic surgery in Dept. of oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Kangnam General Hospital Public Corp..Results of bacterial culture taken from facial skin and intraoral mucosa after application 10% PVP-Ⅰ and 0.5% chlorhexidine were compared.

다양한 양극산화 조건에서 다공질규소를 제작하여 에탄올 기체에 반응 시켰을 때 나타나는 감지 특성을 조사하였다. 그 결과 다음과 같은 사실을 얻었다. 첫째, 다공질규소에 에탄올 기체를 노출시켰을 때 전류가 규칙적으로 증가하는 감지 특성이 나타났다. 둘째, 다공질규소층의 두께가 약 2000㎚일때, 에탄올 기체에 대해 가장 빠른 감지 속도가 나타났다. 셋째, 다공질규소 표면에 알루미늄을 증착 시킬 경우 좀 더 안정적인 감지 특성이 나타났다. In this paper, porous silicon layers was fabricated under various conditions and the current response properties when the gas-sensing device exposed to ethanol gas were investigated. The results are as follows : Firstly, when a porous silicon layer was exposed to ethanol gas for a certain period, its current response showed regular properties. Secondly, when a thickness of porous silicon layer was about 2000㎚, its current response properties shows a more rapid response. Thirdly, when an Al was deposited on porous silicon layer, the current response properties shows a more stable.
비만 여성을 대상으로 한 해조류 추출물의 국부처치와 운동 병행을 통한 지방분해 효과의 임상적 검정

This study was carried out to test the body fat breakdown during topical seaweed extract treatment and in combination with the aerobic exercise. Of 20 female obesity subjects, ten treated a cream types of seaweed extract(control group) and ten treated a placebo cream(placebo group). Topical treatment of each sample was designed for 4 weeks, and treated with 2 times a day about 10ml on the abdomen and the thigh, respectively. All subjects were participated aerobic dance half hour a day and four times a week. After 4 weeks of topical treatment and exercise, they were measured body fat, skinfold thickness, body circumference. Then venous blood samples were taken and analyzed blood cells, serum enzymes, and serum lipids. There were reduction of body weight, % of body fat, antebrachium, brachium, chest, waist, thigh circumference and abdomen thickness between pre and post treatment in both group. Especially, body weight and % of body fat significantly reduced in the subjects treating the seaweed extract than those treating the placebo. There were significant decrement in total cholesterol and LDL whereas increment in HDL and TBIL in the control group, but no significant difference in the placebo group. In conclusion, there were 7.6% of body fat reduction during 4 weeks of aerobic exercise and 21% of body fat reducement in combination of topical seaweed treatment and exercise, respectively. These results suggest that the topical treatment of seaweed extract should be very effective for fat breakdown. Especially, the body fat breakdown maximized in the combination with the topical seaweed extracts treatment and the aerobic exercise.

A 24-year old woman presented with hemorrhagic vesicles on her legs. She had taken sibutramine (Reductil(R), Abbott Labs., Seoul, South Korea) for 3 months and developed skin lesions the week before. A skin biopsy showed leukocytoclastic vasculitis with conspicuous eosinophilic infiltration of the tissue. These lesions showed improvement after discontinuation of sibutramine. However, 3 months later the skin lesions recurred on other sites on the lower extremities when the patient was rechallenged with the same drug for 2 weeks. Herein, we report the first case of necrotizing vasculitis induced by sibutramine. (Ann Dermatol 23(4) 544 ~547, 2011)

Background: Lumbar paraspinal muscles play an important role in maintaining global spinal alignment and are associated with lower back pain; however, only a few studies on the effect of the paraspinal muscles on the surgical outcome exist. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the association of preoperative muscularity and fatty infiltration (FI) of paraspinal muscles with the outcome of lumbar interbody fusion. Methods: Postoperative clinical and radiographic outcomes were analyzed in 206 patients who underwent surgery for a degenerative lumbar disease. The preoperative diagnosis was spinal stenosis or low-grade spondylolisthesis, and the surgery performed was posterior lumbar interbody fusion or minimally invasive transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion. Indications for surgery were a complaint of severe radiating pain that did not improve with conservative treatment and neurological symptoms accompanied by lower extremity motor weakness. Patients with fractures, infections, tumors, or a history of lumbar surgery were excluded from this study. Clinical outcome measures included functional status, measured using the Oswestry disability index (ODI) and visual analog scale (VAS) score for lower back and leg pain. Other radiographic parameters included measures of spinal alignment, including lumbar lordosis, pelvic tilt, sacral slope, pelvic incidence, C7 sagittal vertical axis, and pelvic incidence-lumbar lordosis mismatch. Lumbar muscularity (LM) and FI were measured preoperatively using a lumbar magnetic resonance image (MRI). Results: The high LM group showed more significant improvement in VAS score for lower back pain than the low LM group. In contrast, the VAS score for leg pain demonstrated no statistical significance. The high LM group showed more significant improvement in ODI postoperatively than the medium group. The severe FI group showed more significant improvement in ODI postoperatively, whereas the less severe FI group showed more significant improvement in the sagittal balance postoperatively. Conclusion: Patients with high LM and mild FI ratio observed on preoperative MRI demonstrated more favorable clinical and radiographic outcomes after lumbar interbody fusion. Therefore, preoperative paraspinal muscle condition should be considered when planning lumbar interbody fusion.
