密閉式물 交換太陽 熱集熱乾燥製置를 利用하여 紅蔘을 乾燥할때의 集熱效率, 乾燥效率. 乾燥特性 및 製品의 品質을 各各 調査하였다. 乾燥其間은 太陽熱集熱製置를 利用한 것이 慣行法보다 3分의 1程度를 더 短 할 수 있었다. 乾燥其間中集熱機의 最大效率은 14.42% 最低效率은 4.73%였고 乾燥效率은 集熱製置를 利用한 것이 28.34%, 對照區가 13.45%로서 純粹乾燥效率은 14.89%이었다. 紅蔘의 乾燥率曲線은 減率乾燥期만을 나타내었으며, 이 때의 式은 Y=50.7023t.-014138 이었다. 乾燥紅蔘의 色度는 慣行法과 比較하여 더 높았으며, diphenylpicryl hydrazyl 遇元能도 같은 傾向을 보였다. A closed solar collector drying system by water exchange was evaluated for the drying of ginseng. The thermal efficiency of solar collector, drying efficiency, drying characteristics and product quality were investigated. The drying period was reduced by one-thirds in comparison with typical method. The maximum and minimum thermal efficiency of the solar collector during drying period were 14.42%, and 4.73%, respectively. The drying efficiency of solar collector and control system showed 28.34%, and 13.45%, respectively: net drying efficiency being 14.8%. The drying rate curve of red ginseng showed only falling rate period, and its equation was Y=50.7023t.^(-0.4138) The brown color intensity of red ginseng was higher in solar collector drying system than in typical method, and reductivity by diphenyl picryl hydrazil solution in red ginseng extract showed similar result to brown color intensity.

The heat storage type combustion oxidation device is a system capable of treating VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) discharged to the atmosphere at 95% or more. Aromatic hydrocarbons such as benzene are strong carcinogenic substances that cause leukemia, central nervous disorder, and chromosomal abnormalities, and hydrochloride causes destruction of the ozone layer and global warming. This VOCs reduction technology is expected to reduce the number of harmful substances generated for many operating and working conditions. This paper implements a 100CMM Regenerative Thermal Oxidation (RTO) device to reduce air pollution in VOCs generating sites. The carbon-free system is evaluated by measuring the concentration of the VOCs emission gas according to the operating conditions of the production process, analyzing and measuring the THC (Total Hydro-carbons) concentration change. As a result, through the 100CMM RTO experiment, stable RTO driving, renewable energy measurement, and hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides can be reduced.
Efficient Spectral Analysis for Evaluating TDX Service Signal in Frequency Domain

We need to analyze status of signals sent from/received to a signaling equipment in TDX exchange system, providing the fully electronic switching system. There are types of signal such as R2MFC/DTMF/CCT/VOICE connecting a universal signal transceiver unit and time switch unit. Then we classify these PCM signals of the preferred channel from the subhighway and discriminates the digit. In this paper, we propose new algorithm of signal analysis and discrimination of digit, which use modified DFT based on the symmetric properties. In the experimental results, it shows the improved performance and reduced memory waste and process the real-time.

<P><B>OBJECTIVE—</B>Imatinib has been reported to induce regression of type 2 diabetes in chronic leukemia patients. However, the mechanism of diabetes amelioration by imatinib is unknown, and it is uncertain whether imatinib has effects on type 2 diabetes itself without other confounding diseases like leukemia. We studied the effect of imatinib on diabetes in <I>db/db</I> mice and investigated possible mechanism's underlying improved glycemic control by imatinib.</P><P><B>RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODS—</B>Glucose tolerance and insulin tolerance tests were done after daily intraperitoneal injection of 25 mg/kg imatinib into <I>db/db</I> and C57BL/6 mice for 4 weeks. Insulin signaling and endoplasmic reticulum stress responses were studied by Western blotting. β-Cell mass and apoptotic β-cell number were determined by combined terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase–mediated dUTP nick-end labeling (TUNEL) staining and insulin immunohistochemistry. The in vitro effect of imatinib was studied using HepG2 cells.</P><P><B>RESULTS—</B>Imatinib induced remission of diabetes in <I>db/db</I> mice and amelioration of insulin resistance. Expression of endoplasmic reticulum stress markers in the liver and adipose tissues of <I>db/db</I> mice, such as phospho-PERK, phospho-eIF2α, TRB3, CHOP, and phospho–c-Jun NH<SUB>2</SUB>-terminal kinase, was reduced by imatinib. Insulin receptor substrate-1 tyrosine phosphorylation and Akt phosphorylation after insulin administration were improved by imatinib. Serum aminotransferase levels and hepatic triglyceride contents were decreased by imatinib. Pancreatic β-cell mass was increased by imatinib, accompanied by decreased TUNEL<SUP>+</SUP> β-cell and increased BrdU<SUP>+</SUP> β-cell numbers. Imatinib attenuated endoplasmic reticulum stress in hepatoma cells in vitro.</P><P><B>CONCLUSIONS—</B>Imatinib ameliorated endoplasmic reticulum stress and induced remission of diabetes in <I>db/db</I> mice. Imatinib or related compounds could be used as therapeutic agents against type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome.</P>
