The contiguous construction in downtown area requires an appropriate substructure construction method since it results in the insufficient working spaces and frequent public resentment by noise and vibration. In particular, Top-down method usually is applied for downtown construction, and followed by several difficulties in casting the slab concrete for sub structure. In this study, we focus on the improvement workability for substructure construction.

Recently, in recognition of their outstanding structural performance, the use of Concrete Filled Steel Tube (CFT) columns has been increased. New shape welded built-up square tube was developed by the authors for broader usability using thin steel plates which were bent to be L-shaped (Channel) and each unit members were welded to form square steel tube as an cost-efficient use of expensive steel. In addition, since the rib placed at the center of the tube width acts as an anchor; higher load capacity of buckling is achievable. In order to apply the new shape built-up square columns, the structural behavior and stress distribution with parameter width of thickness (b/t), with and without rib were predicted. The New shape welded built-up square tube effectively delayed the local buckling of the steel tube, which led to a greater strength and ductility than regular HSS.

Building construction in downtown is ever increasing with a strong demand. Top-Down Method is one of suitable construction method for its advantage in minimizing disturbance to neighborhood. Along with these reasons construction site has developed lots of new methods and materials for Time-Cost Trade-off and improving constructability. Opened Slab is one of these method which resist the horizontal force by slab and it has many merit about construction time and unity. We analyze the compression tests on opened slab for the application.
외다이아프램 응력경로에 따른 용접조립 각형기둥-보 접합부의 내진성능 평가

콘크리트 충전강관 기둥에 모멘트 접합부를 만들기 위해서는 추가적인 다이아프램 설치가 필요하다. 그 중 내측 다이아프램과 관통 다이아프램을 용접하기 위해서는 기둥강관에 특수한 용접기술이 필요하다. 하지만 이런 기술은 제작업체의 특수장비 보유에 따라서 제작성 저하와 생산단가 상승 유도 등의 문제를 갖고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 외다이아프램을 갖는 실대형 기둥-보 접합부를 제작하였고, 반복가력 실험을 수행하였다. 다이아프램의 용접 유무와 콘크리트 충전 여부, 형상에 따른 총 6개의 T자형 접합부 실험을 통해 내진성능을 평가하였다. 또한 외다이아프램 내력식에 대한 분석이 이뤄졌다. 본 실험에서 나온 결과를 인장내력식의 적절성을 검토 하였다. Concrete filled tubular structure should be installed diaphragms for moment connection. However internal and through diaphragm should be special welded when connected to column tube. The other hand, that has become increase of stress concentration and extend of construction error. Therefore, In this study the seismic performance of beam to column connections with External Diaphragms and implement cycle loading experiment. we had evaluated seismic performance with mentioned experiment which is concrete filled or not, variable shapes, to be welded or not of diaphragm. Also, formula of strength of external diaphragm was analyzed and looked into adequacy with regard to formula of tension strength.
