      • 움직임 추정 오차 분포를 이용한 H.263 부호화기의 진보 예측 모드의 동적선택

        본 논문은 H263 부호화기에서 진보 예측 모드(Advanced Prediction Mode, APM)를 동적으로 적용하여 계산량을 줄이고 부호화 효율을 높일 수 있는 APM의 동적 선택(Dynamic APM, DSPM)방법을 제안하였다. 화면내에 존재하는 움직임 성분을 분석하고, 그 성격에 따라 기본 예측모드(Default Prediction Mode,DPM)와 APM을 동적으로 적용할 수 있도록 하였다. 이를 위하여 매크로 블록 단위로 추정된 각 탐색점에서의 예측 오차로 구성된 움직임 추정 오차 분포(Error Distribution of Motion Estimation, EDME)를 구성하고, 이 분포를 네 개의 영역으로 분할한 다음, 각 분할 영역의 최소 예측 오차와 매크로 블록 단위로 추정된 예측 오차와의 비를 구하여, 블록 단위의 움직임 추정을 수행할 것인가를 결정하였다. 선형 움직임이 대부분인 화면에 대해서는 DPM으로 부호화 하도록 하여, 부분적으로 예측 효율이 떨어지는 것을 막을 수 있었으며, 고정된 APM(Fixed APM,FAPM)으로 부호화 하는 경우에 발생하는 계산량을 30%정도로 줄이면서, 평균적으로 으로 부호화 된 화질과 비슷한 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. In this paper, we proposed a dynamic selection scheme of advanced prediction mode(DAPM), whish reduces computational cost and improves coding efficiency. We can select the mode between default prediction mode(DPM) and advanced prediction mode(APM) accoding to motion components in a frame dynamically. For this purpose, we defined error distribution of motion estimation(EDME) as sum of absolute difference(SAD) for each searching points. This distribution region is divided to four subregions. We calculate minimu, values in each subregions and then, we determine whether block motion estimation is performed of not depending on the results. As a result, we reduced computational complexity to 30% without degradation of image quality compared to fixed APM(FAPM) by selecting DPM for linear movement.

      • Al-Si合金의 閃光法에 의한 熱擴散係數測定에 關한 硏究

        本 硏究를 通하여 얻은 結果는 다음과 같다. 1. Al-Si 合金에서 Si量이 增加할수록 熱擴散係數는 감소하나, 共晶組成(Al-12%Si) 部近에서는 亞共晶, 過共晶組成에 비하여 약간 增加하였다. 비열과 비중등의 조건이 一定하다면 熱擴散係數는 pure Al 이 8.47, 亞共晶(6%)組成이 3.24, 共晶組成(12%)이 3.99, 過共晶組成(18%Si)이 3.01(×10-5m2/sec)이다. 2. Cu, P, Na로 개량처리 하였을 때 共晶組成이내에서는 Cu의 경우에 열확산계수가 가장 적었으나, 과공정조성에서는 Cu의 경우가 가장 높았다. After pure Al, Al-6% Si(hypoeutectic composition), Al-12% Si(eutectic comp.) and Al-18% Si(hypereutectic comp.) among Al-Si alloys were treated refinement with addition of Cu(0.5%), P(0.5%) or Na(0.5%), their thermal diffusivities were measured by flash method. And then their microstructures and thermal diffusivities were investigated. The results obtained are as follows. 1. According as sillicon contents in Al-Si alloys increase, the thermal diffusivities decreases, but it increases slightly at eutectic composition(Al-12% Si alloy), if its density and heat capacity are constant, the thermal diffusivities are 8.47(pure Al), 3.24(6% Si), 3.99(12% Si) and 3.01(18% Si) (X10-5m/sec) respectively. 2. When the refinement treated with Cu, P, and Na, the effects of thermal diffusivities of alloys with Cu treated is the lowest under eutectic composition, but its effects is the best at hypereutectc composition.

        The puper studies the relationship between plants and audio signals. Responses of plant are transformed to electrical signals and digitized to process them on computer. Variance and mean are used for spatial domain analysis. and Fourier transform is used for frequency responses analysis as tools. We used celery cabbage, cucumber, parsley and onions as experimental plants. With this experiments, we found out that specific plants are sensitive to specific music signals and external stimulus.

        Asbestosis is the disease of pulmonary fibrosis caused by the inhaled asbestos fibers, and could be diagnosed clinically, in the case of exposure history to asbestos is proved, by clinical symptoms of dyspnea or dry cough, physical examonation findings, and the radiographic features. But many othder inorganic dusts would show similar findings in the chest radiogram and sometimes the exposure history is obscure, so for the exact diagnosis of asbestosis lung biopsy is needed. In Korea, there have been some reports of survey in the workplace where asbestos is handled or of asbestos related diseases. This is a case report of asbestosis with accompanying pleural plaques, who had the occupational exposure to asbestos for 30 years and the consistent clinical, radiographic and pathological findings in the lung tissue obtained by the videoscope assisted thoracoscopic biopsy(VATS).

      • 경량 고강도 Mg-Zn계합금의 조직과 내식성에 관한 연구

        The purpose in this study is to develope of high strength and corrosion reistant Mg-Zn system alloys by controlling microstructures and by adding of Cu elements. To produce optimum tesile strength,it is imperative to obtain effective grain refinment during casting. Optimal condition for grain size refining effect was obtained at the minmum composotion of 2wt% Cu or 1.5wt%So addition to Mg-6wt%Zn alloy.Age hardening behavior was experimented at the optimal compositions of the Mg-6wt%Zn, Mg-6wt%Zn-2wt%Cu and Mg-6wt%Zn-1.5wt%Si. The hardeness increment due to age hardening was at the Mg-Zn-Si alloy system. The improvement of corrosion resistanece by the addition with Cu is related to and increasing Zn/Cu ration in the intermatallic particles in the Mg-Zn system.Further improvements obtained by T6 treatment are related to the properties of the Mg-Zn phase,whih acts as a corrosion barrier by precipitating along the grainboundaries.Filiform corrosion observed soon after pit initiation and cellular form of pit propagation later in chloride media are explained in terms of solid solution matrix structure and the properties of air formed oxide.The information obtained from the fundamental research work is utilized in suggesting ways of improving the corrosion resistance of commercial AZ91.

      • The role of perceived organizational support on emotional labor in the airline industry

        <B>Purpose</B> - The purpose of the present study was to examine whether and how the perceived organizational support (POS) influences emotional labor and the relationship between emotional labor and flight attendants' outcomes. <B>Design/methodology/approach</B> - Structural equation modeling analysis provided support for the hypotheses from a sample of 256 flight attendants in South Korea. <B>Findings</B> - The results showed that POS has a positive effect on deep acting. Furthermore, it was found that surface acting has a positive influence on emotional exhaustion, whereas deep acting has a negative influence on emotional exhaustion. In addition, emotional exhaustion has a negative influence on organizational commitment, while organizational commitment has a negative influence on turnover intention. Furthermore, POS moderated the relationship between deep acting or surface acting and emotional exhaustion. <B>Originality/value</B> - The current study broadened the conceptual work and laboratory studies in emotional labor by examining the role of POS on emotional regulation strategies related to emotional exhaustion. In addition, this study sheds new light on customer service management within the airline industry by examining flight attendants' emotional labor, particularly interactions with POS.

        Performance Evaluation of Seismic Isolation System by Installation Location in Lighthouse Structures

        <P>The purpose of this study is to evaluate the applicability of seismic isolation devices for marine accidents under seismic loads. The lighthouse structure is a very important facility when the ship approaches the port. However, it is necessary to reinforce the structure to protect it from earthquake. This study presents isolation technology as a method to enhance the seismic performance of lighthouse structures built before seismic design criteria were established. This paper analyzed improvement of seismic performance in three cases of seismic isolation by applying the proposed method of isolation technology. In Case 1, the entire lighthouse structure is isolated, and in Case 2, only the lighthouse lens, the most important component of the lighthouse structure, has been isolated to assure constructability and economy. In Case 3, isolation effect was analyzed by comparing Case 1 and Case 2 with lighthouse structures.</P>
