        Synthesis of arbutin–gold nanoparticle complexes and their enhanced performance for whitening

        Arbutin, a natural polyphenol, possessesnumerous biological activities including whitening, antioxidant,anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory activities, as wellas strong reducing power, making it an ideal bioactiveingredient for preparing gold nanoparticles (GNPs). Previously,we developed a novel green, mild syntheticmethod for GNPs using glycosides such as arbutin asreducing agents and stabilizers. Herein, we optimized thesynthetic method for glycoside–GNPs using arbutin,methyl b-D-glucoside, and phenyl b-D-glucoside and validatedtheir whitening efficacy in vitro and in vivo. Theresulting glycoside–GNPs were predominantly mono-dispersedand spherical (10.30–17.13 nm diameter). Comparedwith arbutin itself, arbutin–GNP complexes (GNPA1and GNP-P2) displayed enhanced whitening capabilities. Furthermore, GNP-P2 exhibited enhanced anti-inflammatoryactivity and lacked the toxicity associated witharbutin. Bioactive glycoside–GNP complexes may opennew directions for cosmeceuticals, and GNP-P2 may serveas a useful whitening ingredient in future cosmeceuticalapplications.

        친환경 건설 전문 인력의 핵심 역량 요인 분석

        전 세계적으로 환경 문제가 대두되면서 에너지 사용량 절감에 대한 사회적 관심이 커지고 있다. 우리나라 또한 에너지 사용량 비중이 큰 건축부문의 에너지 사용량 절감을 위한 친환경 건설의 필요성이 강조되고 지속적인 기술개발과 정부의 지원을 바탕으로 친환경 건설 시장은 빠른 속도의 성장을 보이고 있다. 친환경 건설시장이 성장하면서 친환경 전문기업들이 생겨나고 있지만 관련 지식과 노하우를 갖춘 전문가들의 수는 부족하다. 지속적으로 성장하는 친환경 건설 시장의 변화에 대비하기 위하여 전문인력 양성의 기반 마련이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구는 친환경 건설 산업의 전문 인력에게 요구되는 역량요인에 대한 설문을 실시하고 탐색적 요인분석을 통하여 핵심 역량 요인을 도출하고 각각의 의미를 분석하였다. 분석 결과 총 4개의 역량 요인이 도출되었으며 그 중 2개의 요인인 '친환경 및 지속가능성에 대한 이해'와 '인적 관리 역량'이 핵심적인 역량 요인이라는 것을 도출하였다. 본 연구는 인력 양성에 필요한 역량 기준 및 평가에 대한 준비를 위한 기초연구가 될 것이다. The Environment - friendly construction industry has developed rapidly with sustained development of related technologies and government assistance. However, there is lack of consideration for nurturing professional manpower for Environment - friendly construction industry. In order to support rapid growth, it is necessary to analyze the competency of professional manpower to prepare for successful Environment - friendly construction industry. Thus, this research derive competency variables through the literature review and experts' interview was applied toward an validating of the key variables. Further, a survey of competency factors for sustainable construction was performed and analyzed through exploratory factor analysis. The result showed that four key competency factors were derived, and two factors stood out : Understanding of Sustainability and Affective Competency. The meaning of this research is to investigate relationship between the characteristics of Environment - friendly construction and importance of competency factor.

        서울 도심 공지의 개발 시나리오에 따른 미기후 영향 분석 - 풍속 및 기온 비교 -

        In the city of high population density crowded with buildings, Urban Heat Island (UHI) is intensified, and the city is vulnerable to thermal comfort. The maintenance of vacant land in downtown is treated as a factor that undermines the residential environment, spoils the urban landscape, and decreases the economic vitality of the whole region. Therefore, this study compared the effects on microclimate in the surrounding area according to the development scenarios targeting the vacant land in Songhyeon-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. The status quo, green oriented, building oriented and green-building mediation scenarios were established and ENVI-met was used to compare and analyze the impact of changes in wind speed, air temperature and mean radiant temperature (MRT) within 1 km of the target and the target site. The result of inside and 1 km radius the targeted area showed that the seasonal average temperature decreased and the wind speed increased when the green oriented scenario was compared with the current state one. It was expected that the temperature lowered to -0.73 °C or increased to 1.5 °C in summer, and the wind speed was affected up to 210 meters depending on the scenario. And it was revealed that green area inside the site generally affects inside area, but the layout and size of the buildings affect either internal and external area. This study is expected to help as a decision-making support tool for developing Songhyeon-dong area and to be used to reflect the part related to microclimate on the future environmental effects evaluation system.

        전도성 그리드를 활용한 전자파 흡수차폐/방열 복합소재 필름

        Due to the increasing number of wireless communication devices in mmWave frequency bands, there is a high demand for electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding and heat dissipating materials to avoid device malfunctions. This paper proposes an EMI shielding composite film with a high heat dissipation characteristic. To achieve this, a conductive grid is integrated with a polymer-based composite layer including magnetic and heat dissipating filler materials. A high shielding effectiveness (>40 dB), low reflection shielding effectiveness (<3 dB), high thermal conductivity (>10 W/m·K), thin thickness (<500 ㎛) are simultaneously achieved with a tailored design of composite layer compositions and grid geometries in 5G communication band of 26.5 GHz.

        도시개발 시나리오에 따른 농업지역의 생태계서비스 변화 분석 - 3기 신도시 남양주 왕숙1지구를 대상으로 -

        Urban development is continuously being carried out to stabilize housing supply. The importance of ecosystem services assessments considering the various urban spatial structures is emerging as land use change in the wake of urban development has impact on the provision of ecosystem services. However, few studies are available as to the effects of land use transition in agricultural land due to urban development on ecosystem services. The purpose of this study is to examine the applicability of decision-making in the urban planning process by analyzing the impact of land use change on ecosystem services due to urban development. Therefore, the scenario was set on before and after the city development, targeting Namyangju Wangsuk Zone 1 and InVEST model was used to compare and analyze changes in value of ecosystem services. Analysis results of ecosystem services before the urban development, it turned out that habitat quality and water yield increased over time but carbon storage and crop production decreased. Analysis results of ecosystem services after the urban development indicated that all items in ecosystem services by scenario decreased more than in 2018. Among the scenarios of urban development, compact city had the lowest value of water resource supply but had the highest value in terms of habitat quality, carbon storage amount, and crop production. The study results demonstrate that the compact city has positive effects on ecosystem services and is expected to be used as the basic data for supporting policy decision-making in the establishment of future urban development and management plans.

        As the climate crisis leads to increasingly frequent extreme weather events such as heatwaves and cold spells. Climate change has adversely affected physical health of people globally and mental health of people in the assessed regions. Regional are formulation of climate crisis adaptation measures to mitigate vulnerability and enhance resilience against health impacts and natural disasters. MOTIVE and VESTAP are used at formulation of climate crisis adaptation measures, but there are limitations in using them by local governments as it is difficult to understand and use the model and is limited in interpreting the results. While MOTIVE and VESTAP are evaluated based on their specific objectives, existing literature suggests that they can be effectively employed in a complementary manner. In this study, the first objective is to explore the potential for integrated application by focusing on similar items within the health sector of MOTIVE and VESTAP. The second objective is to examine methods for linking MOTIVE values with VESTAP for the combined utilization of similar evaluation items. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the identification of future climate risks based on impact and vulnerability assessments, thereby supporting the formulation of adaptation measures at both Municipal-Level and Lower local Governments levels. Furthermore, regions demonstrating elevated scores across MOTIVE, VESTAP, and their integrated application may be classified as priority areas for the adaptation measures, thereby facilitating a reduction in the adverse impacts associated with climate crisis.
