This study was conducted to investigate the biomechanical characteristics of the gait pattern in an amputee for the purpose of improving the proper gait posture and designing the prosthetic. The subjects were six males amputees and one normal person. The ground reaction force was measured using AMTI force platform. The conclusions were as follows; 1. In case of amputee group, the ground reaction force was revealed in specific figure according to position in which they used the prosthetic, whereas in case of normal person the ground reaction force was revealed in the figure of two humps in regard of vertical axis. 2. In case of amputee group, the ground reaction force in time between fight foot contact and left foot contact was deviated from a figure of rectangle, whereas in case of normal person the ground reaction force was revealed in the figure of rectangle. 3. In case of amputee group, the ground reaction force referred to both feet angle point of view was revealed in irregular figure, whereas in case of normal person the ground reaction force was revealed about 47。

Head and neck squamous cell carcinomas (HNSCC) are characterized by a marked propensity for local invasion and cervical lymph node metastasis. The aim of this article was to review the expression of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), c-erbB-2, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) in HNSCC patients and to study their possible correlation to various clinicopathologic parameters. Based on this review, the expression of EGFR, c-erbB-2, VEGF, or MMPs play important roles for tumor growth, invasion and metastasis in HNSCC. c-erbB receptors, MMPs and VEGF might aid the clinician in theselection of an appropriate therapy for individual patients and help to predict the prognosis of patients.
위암의 진행에 따른 Fas관련 아포프토시스 유도의 상관성

Background and Objectives : The purpose of this study is to determine whether human gastric adenocarcinomas express Fas-L, sFas-L or Fas , whether serum sFas-L leyel is changed in gastric cancer patients after gastrectomy, whether Fas-L expression is associated with increased apoptotic induction, especially, tumor-infiltrating Iymphocytes(TIL) and whether apoptotic induction is associated with the tumor stage and histologic type. Materials and Methods : The author analysed 38 cases of early gastric carcinoma(EGC) and 61 cases of advanced gastric carcinoma (AGC) which received gastric resection from 1997 to 1998. Of them, the number of diffuse type is 38 cases and the number of intestinal type is 61 cases. The author used immunohistochemical staining for Fas, Fas L and CD45, TACS^TM in situ apoptosis detection kit, and sFas ligand ELISA kit. Results : Fas-L was localized to neoplastic cells in 23 cases (23/38; 61%) of EGC group and 40cases (40/61; 66%) of AGC group. The extent of Fas-L expression was variable, with both Fas-L was localized to neoplastic cells in 23 cases (23/38; 61%) of EGC group and 40 cases(40/61; 66%) of group. The extent of Fas-L expression was variable, with both FasL-positive and negative neoplastic region cccuring within. TIL were detected by co-expression of CD4S and TACS on serial histologic sections. TIL adjacent to Fas-L erxressing tumor regions were decreased in number and TIL adjacent to FasL-negative tumor regions were increased in number; apoptotic induction of TIL showed the opposite pattern (p<05). Fas expression was found essentially homogeneously throughout the tumor mass independent of tumor stage. Fas expression showed 39 cases (39/61; 64%) of intestinal type and 26 cases (26/38; 68%) of diffuse type. Labeling indces for tumoral apoptosis in EGC and AGC were 6.72% and 7.13%, respectively and this difference was statistically insignificant. Co-expression of Fas-L and Fas, which occurred over large areas of the tumors, did not result in an enhanced rate of tumor cell apoptosis. The mean serum sFas-L level was significantly higher in patients before treatment compared with controls, whereas in post-gastrectomy patients, it was significantly lower, In addition, tumor stage and other prognostic factors were not associated with Fas and Fas-L expression, serum sFas-L level, number of TIL and apoptotic induction. Conclusion: 'The author demonstrates a statistically significant reduction of TIL concomitant with significantly increased TIL apoptosis adjacent to FasL-expressing regions of gastric adenocarcinomas. Also an elevated level of ·serum sFas-L in the gastric adenocarcinoma group was noted. These findings suggest Fas-mediated apoptotic depletion of TIL in response to Fas-L expression by stomach cancers, and provide the evidence to support the Fas counter-attack as a mechanism of immune escape in gastric cancer. And These findings indicate that the serum sFas-L level is a useful indicator in evaluating postoperative follow-up. In addition, gastric carcinoma cells of the intestinal and diffuse type did not differ in their expression of the Fas-apoptotic system.

There are many advantages and disadvantages under the limited bachelor's admission system. To diminish the demerits and to increase the merits of this system, the authors posed questions to the faculties and students of the Department of Medicine. Chosun University College of Medicine and other colleges in Korea. The questionnaire was made according to trends and feelings in this system. We received a lot of information and suggestions as to how to improve the system, in the following paper we discuss and report the prospective aspects of the bachelor's admission system.

A 61-year-old man with dyspnea and wheezing depending on recumbent posture was admitted to the hospital because of a tracheal mass, which was found on a routine check done by health care unit of the another hospital. Computed tomography of the chest revealed a polypoid endobronchial mass in the left bronchus. Bronchoscopy revealed a 2cm-sized polypoid mass at 7cm below the carina. The tumor was successfully removed without dropping any tumor fragments to obstruct the distal bronchus. A biopsy taken from the tumor was fibroma histologically. Endobronchial fibroma is a rare benign lung tumor. The patient had an uneventful postoperative recovery course. No adjuvant therapy was deemed necessary or given. Follow-up bronchoscopies done 1 day and 4 months after the polypectomy did not demonstrate any sign of recurrence or residue of the tumor, respectively.

Recently, The construction field in the urban area is short of working space and securing processing place because it is surrounded by adjacent buildings and nearby roads and have difficulties in rising labor costs. The insufficient space causes problems of interference and conflicts in transporting materials and working at the site. Therefore, Construction Manager find many alternative method and select industrialized method. The objective of this paper is to develop and give a method of information visualization system for manufacturing, delivering and lifting these materials in construction project stakeholders, using tools visualizing informations. The tools supports to stakeholders so many informations in material manufacturing, delivering, lifting in construction site. That is, order information, manufacture information in factory, sending information, carrying information, unloading and lifting in Site, and so on. Case studies are performed to evaluate the feasibility and applicability of the proposed method.
회전축계의 진동제어용 ER 유체 댐퍼의 설계 및 반능동 비례제어

This paper is concerned with the design and application of an Electro-Rheological(ER) fluid damper to suppress vibration of rotor systems. The example system at hand is flexible with a slender shaft and a thin disk, being su pported by two ball bearings. In addition, to investigate the system performances also in the high speed range, the driving torque is made to transmit through a speed increasing gear train. Along with the experiments, to predict and compare the ER damper effect, the rotor system is simulated as to its free and forced vibration characteristics. Such simulations are done by means of a finite element analysis code, which includes the mathematical model of the designed ER damper.
