        Salinity tolerance of the manila clam, Ruditapes philippinarum in Gang-jin Bay on the from May to June was investigated in two different types of sedimentary composition. In the experimental groups of sandy-mud, the survival and infiltration rate were good at 20~40ppt, but all the manila clam, Ruditapes philippinarum died at more than 50ppt and less than 10ppt before the experiment finish. In the experimental groups of muddy, the survival and infiltration rate were the best at 25~35ppt and then 20ppt, 40ppt. All the manila clam, Ruditapes philippinarum died at more than 45ppt and less than 15ppt. The survival rate in the experimental groups of sandy-mud was higher than muddy ones, and the infiltration rate was the highest at 20~35ppt in the both of two experimental groups. In the sand-mud, the manila clam, Ruditapes philippinarum infiltrated half of their shells but in the muddy, they infiltrated more then half of their shells.

        자유주의에서 개인과 국가, 사회 : J. S. Mill의 교육에 대한 국가의 개입 논의를 중심으로 Centered on John Stuart Mill's advocacy of State's intervention in education

        본 논문에서는 존 스튜어트 밀(1806-73 J. S Mill)의 교육에 대한 국가개입논의를 통해 자유주의의의 개인·사회·국가의 영역에 대한 기본 입장들을 검토해보고자 한다. 밀은 교육에 대해서 정부가 사적 영역에 개입해야 되는 예외적 경우로 내세운다. 그러나 밀의 사상에서 교육이 갖는 의미를 검토해보면 밀이 교육에 대해 국가의 적극적 역할을 지지하는 것이 단순한 예외가 아니라 밀 사상에서 필연적이라는 것을 발견하게 된다. 밀이 교육분야에서 정부의 적극적 역할을 주장하는 것은 그의 시민에 대한 개념과 밀접한 연관을 갖고 있다. 어떤 의미에서는 밀에게서 정치는 교육과 동일시되며 밀의 자유주의는 ‘정치적 인간’이 자기 자신을 완전히 실현하는 영역으로 공적영역(정치)을 보는 고전희랍의 견해를 반영한다. 밀의 사상에서 사적 영역과 공적 영역의 갈등을 사회 속에서 개인의 완성이라는 시민성(citizenship)이론으로 극복하려는 시도를 찾을 수 있다. The purpose of this paper is to examine John Stuart Mill's arguments in support of state intervention into education. I argue that despite his categorical objections to state inference, his advocacy of state's positive role in education is the corollary of his conceptions of politics and citizenship. Mill's theory of citizenship provides us a valuable attempt to overcome the problems caused from the strict dichotomy of the public realm and the private realm in liberalism.

      • 1. 06㎛ Nd : YAG Laser를 이용한 요추간판탈출증의 경피적 수핵감압술

        The 1.06㎛ Neodymium-YAG Laser(800 micron hemisherical) is revealed a useful tool for percutaneous laser disc decompression(PLDD). Especially PLDD would be applied to the management of lumbar disc herniation with minimal intervention. Total irradiated energy to one level of disc space was bout 1000 to 2000 joules. We performed this method at 10 levels, in 7 cases of patients, consisting of 4 males and 3 females with an average age of 37.7 years. Five cases showed excellent and good results, were observed. In two cases, open surgery was required because of unsatisfactory results. The best results were obtained in the protrusion type of disc herniation. We have summarized some advantages of PLDD: a) safe and simple procedure in an outpatient setting, b) avoiding general anesthesia, late spinal instability, c) possibility of repetitive use.

        강교의 도장방식에 따른 안전수명간 생애주기비용분석

        Life Cycle Cost analysis technique is introduced to evaluate cost-effectiveness of two paint systems of steel bridges. The systems are a conventional paint system and a galvanized paint system. The all costs during safe life such as initial cost, repainting costs, disposal costs are considered for the life cycle cost analysis. The NIST model is used and BridgeLOC 1.0 developed by the NIST is utilized as the life cycle cost analysis tool. It is concluded that, in spite of expensive initial cost, the durable paints system may be cost-effective compared with conventional paint system.

      • 5-Fluorouracil과 그 유도체를 함유하는 Solid Lipid Nanoparticles 제조와 평가

        Solid lipid nanoparticles(SLNs) are particulate systems for parenteral drug administration and have good biocompatibility and stability. SLNs were prepared with lauric acid, as the lipid core. Tween 20 and tween 80 were used as surfactant. 5-fluorouracil and 1-benzoyl-5-fluorouracil were used as model drugs. Drug-loaded SLNs were prepared by the hot homogenization technique in order to evaluate the physical stability, entrapment efficiency of drugs as well as release profile. The particle size of SLNs was 40~600 nm. By increasing speed, the mean particle size of SLfs was decreased. And entrapment efficiency in the case of using 1-Benzoyl-5-fluorouracil was higher than using 5-Fluorouracil. The higher surfactant concentration, the faster release rate at the range of 1.5~2.5%.

      • 내린천 유역의 HEC-HMS 모형 적용에 관한 연구

        HEC-HMS model should be calibrated to be applied to these basins in Gangwon-do unlike the general basins. In the study, it is investigated whether the HEC-HMS model may be applied or not to Naerinchon basin where is the typical basin of Gangwon-do Additionally, the straightforword module of HEC-HMS for simulating the hydrologic characteristic of Gangwon-do basins well will be suggested by comparison of the numerical results with the observed data. The hydrologic results estimated by several modules such as Clark, SCS and Snyder methods in HEC-HMS model have been compared with the observed data for 1999~2000 storm events. It is concluded that Clark method are relatively applicable to the basins in Gangwon-do rather than the others methods. The parametric studies for HEC-HMS model should be studied further in order to apply to Gangwon-do basins more accurately.

        The divided channel is not often used on the river and when the installation is for the controlling of the flow quantity. The determination of the channel size is not a easy task. Model tests are examined to confirm the variation of distribution rate by the method of the channel installation and the position of the structure and the adjustment of numerical simulation is executed by the comparing of the results. This study is to execute numerical model according to installation of divided channel by using AQUADYN program, the 2nd dimension numerical model, and HEC-RAS program, the 1st dimension numerical model, by the shape of divided channel. Also, it compares with difference by method about each case.

      • 하천 만곡률과 홍수량에 따른 수면경사도 산정

        In this research, we made a one and two-dimensional analysis of numerical data collected from the bend curvature of a bended river section. According to the result from the numerical analysis, the inflow & output angle caused a water level deviation which increased with an increase of the flood discharge. From the water level deviation of our two- dimensional numerical model, we obtained the maximum slope of 6,67% when the inflow and output angle was 105 degrees and the flood discharge was 500 CMS. As for the right side, the differences with the one-dimensional numerical model were reduced when the angle was more than 90˚. As for the left side the differences were reduced when the angle was more than 105˚. For a river with more than 90 degrees bend curvature, a hydraulic experiment would be more appropriate than a numerical analysis.

      • 다변량 분석법을 이용한 소양강댐 상류 유역의 하천 수질 평가

        The object of this study is to evaluate the factors affecting the water quality and to propose the influence of dominant factor quantitatively. The correlation analysis was performed to know the correlationship among the water quality items. As a result of partial correlation analysis, it was shown that the water quality items are affected by the rainfall item directly. The factor analysis was performed to grasp some number of factors on each point for deducing the items of similar variable characteristics. The four points were divided into different factor groups. It was grasped that NH_3-N and NO_3-N items have different variable characteristics after comparing the items. The Multiple regression analysis can decrease the number of observation. In the deduced multiple regression formula, it was shown that the rate of T-N, NH_3-N and NO_3-N in the independent variable took about 60% among all the regression formulas.
