      • Study on credit risk prediction of listed companies in China

        This paper used mixed logit model to predict crdit risk of listed companies in China. In order to reduce the difficulty in dealing with the facts of correlation and multi-dimension of the financial indexes and meanwhile to ensure that the information is not lost, we introduced factor analysis to the mixed logit equation and thereby constructed a Factor Analysis Mixed Logit Model. Fifteen factors were extracted from original financial indexes, and four main factors which affect dramatically were selected to substitute the original financial indexes as explanatory variables. The empirical results showed that though prediction accuracy of the new method is a little lower than mixed logit model"s, it can reach more than 80%. The new approach presented in this paper is more reliable because it eliminates correlation of explanatory variables and reduces information loss effectively.

      • Boosting the solar water oxidation performance of a BiVO<sub>4</sub> photoanode by crystallographic orientation control

        <P>Materials with low crystal symmetry often exhibit anisotropic properties, allowing the tuning of their physical and chemical properties <I>via</I> crystallographic orientation and exposed facet control. Herein, for the first time, we have demonstrated that pristine BiVO4 with a preferred [001] growth orientation and exposed (001) facets exhibits excellent intrinsic charge transport properties and surface reactivity. Using preferentially [001]-oriented BiVO4 (p-BVO) as a photoanode for photoelectrochemical water splitting, an impressive photocurrent density at 1.23 V <I>vs.</I> the reversible hydrogen electrode (RHE) is achieved, which is approximately 16 times higher than that exhibited by a photoanode based on randomly oriented BiVO4. Importantly, when the surface of p-BVO is further roughened and decorated with an oxygen evolution electrocatalyst, photocurrent densities of ∼3.5 and ∼6.1 mA cm<SUP>−2</SUP> are achieved at 0.6 and 1.23 VRHE, respectively; the latter value corresponds to ∼82% of the theoretically achievable photocurrent density for BiVO4 under 1 sun illumination. Our results demonstrate the effectiveness of crystal orientation and exposed facet control in optimizing materials for solar water-splitting applications.</P>

        In recent years, while Mountain Outdoor Sports Events has been growing rapidly, many problems have emerged, such as the uneven quality of the events, the poor branding and the lack of sustainability. In this paper, the Wugong Mountain Camping Conference, one of the most influential Mountain Outdoor Sports Events in China, is used as an example for systematic analysis and research, with a view to developing quality and branding of Mountain Outdoor Sports Events. Firstly, market research was strengthened to further refine Mountain Outdoor Sports market segmentation and positioning. Secondly, regional Mountain Outdoor Sports strengths were developed and integrated to further clarify the brand positioning. Thirdly, the brand carrier strategy was optimized to shape the brand visual identity and brand concept of Mountain Outdoor Sports. Fourthly, new media communication tools such as Douyin and Youtube were utilized to optimize the brand communication channels for outdoor sports events. Finally, the maintenance of the Mountain Outdoor Sports brand operation and mechanism building was strengthened.

      • Review on Operation Fault of High-voltage Power Transmission Lines and Effective Prevention Countermeasures

        In the power system, transmission line as a guarantee for effective power supply, takes charge of the transmission from output power of substation to the consumers. The present study mainly focuses on the fault of transmission line resulted from external uncertainties, such as lightning, wind age yaw, ice coating and bird damage, as well as internal factors of high-voltage transmission line, including the grounding and short circuit. Accordingly, fault diagnosis and protecting measures on the high-voltage transmission line are proposed with advices on the improvement of operation and maintenance management of the line to reduce the fault frequency of the transmission line in the process of operation at a greater extent and to ensure the power supply stability of the whole power grid system to the user.

      • Branched TiO<sub>2</sub> Nanorods for Photoelectrochemical Hydrogen Production

        <P>We report a hierarchically branched TiO<SUB>2</SUB> nanorod structure that serves as a model architecture for efficient photoelectrochemical devices as it simultaneously offers a large contact area with the electrolyte, excellent light-trapping characteristics, and a highly conductive pathway for charge carrier collection. Under Xenon lamp illumination (UV spectrum matched to AM 1.5G, 88 mW/cm<SUP>2</SUP> total power density), the branched TiO<SUB>2</SUB> nanorod array produces a photocurrent density of 0.83 mA/cm<SUP>2</SUP> at 0.8 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode (RHE). The incident photon-to-current conversion efficiency reaches 67% at 380 nm with an applied bias of 0.6 V versus RHE, nearly two times higher than the bare nanorods without branches. The branches improve efficiency by means of (i) improved charge separation and transport within the branches due to their small diameters, and (ii) a 4-fold increase in surface area which facilitates the hole transfer at the TiO<SUB>2</SUB>/electrolyte interface.</P><P><B>Graphic Abstract</B> <IMG SRC='http://pubs.acs.org/appl/literatum/publisher/achs/journals/content/nalefd/2011/nalefd.2011.11.issue-11/nl2029392/production/images/medium/nl-2011-029392_0005.gif'></P><P><A href='http://pubs.acs.org/doi/suppl/10.1021/nl2029392'>ACS Electronic Supporting Info</A></P>

        Rosa roxburghii Tratt juice inhibits NF-κB and increases IL-2 to alleviates the Foxp3-mediated Tregs imbalance in the peripheral blood of arseniasis patients

        Arsenic can cause immune inflammation, which is the basis of arsenic-induced damage to multiple organs and systems. Forkhead box P3 (Foxp3)-labelled CD4+CD25+ regulatory T cells (Tregs) play an essential role in maintaining immune homeostasis. Nuclear factor-κb (NF-κB) and Interleukin-2 (IL-2) are critical regulators of Foxp3. Rosa roxburghii Tratt (RRT) is an edible medicinal plant with anti-inflammation effects. In this study, a control group (n = 41) and an arseniasis group (n = 209) were recruited, and screened subjects from the arseniasis patients for RRTJ (n = 46) or placebo (n = 43) to explore the possible mechanism by which RRT alleviates immune inflammation. The results indicated that RRTJ can inhibits NF-κB and increases IL-2, and alleviates the Foxp3-mediated Tregs imbalance in the peripheral blood of arseniasis patients. In summary, these findings suggest a novel intervention or therapeutic target for immune inflammation in arseniasis patients and provide new evidence that RRTJ inhibits immune inflammation.

        Flexural Behavior of RC Beams with NSM Prestressed Helical Rib Steel Wire

        The reinforcement technique of near-surface mounted?NSM?prestressed helical rib steel wire (PHRSW) with wide raw material sources, lower in price and high application value can significantly enhance the flexural behavior of reinforced-concrete (RC) structures. Based on 8 flexural RC beams reinforced with NSM PHRSW, performance of test beams under different groove widths (10 mm, 15 mm and 20 mm) and concrete strengths (C30 and C40) was analyzed, including load-deflection, ductility, flexural capacity, strain of longitudinal steel bar and HRSW, failure mode and crack propagation. The results show that the overall flexural behavior RC beams reinforced with NSM PHRSW was significantly improved. There is a good entirety bearing capacity between the longitudinal reinforcement and PHRSW of reinforced beam with suitable groove size. The comprehensive performance of reinforced beams increases first then decreases, with the increase of groove size. The higher the strength of concrete, the more significant the influence of groove size. There is an optimal match between groove width and concrete strength for RC beams reinforced with NSM PHRSW. Considering comprehensive property of reinforced beams, groove width with 15mmwas best in this research. The results can make the research of RC beams reinforced with NSM PHRSW more comprehensive and in-depth, and provide design basis for its engineering application.

        Implications of Sarcopenia and Glucometabolism Parameters of Muscle Derived From Baseline and End-of-Treatment 18F-FDG PET/CT in Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma

        Objective: We previously found that the incidence of sarcopenia increased with declining glucose metabolism of muscle in patients with treatment-naïve diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). This study aimed to investigate the relationship between sarcopenia and muscle glucometabolism using 18F-FDG PET/CT at baseline and end-of-treatment, analyze the changes in these parameters through treatment, and assess their prognostic values. Materials and Methods: The records of 103 patients with DLBCL (median 54 years [range, 21–76]; male:female, 50:53) were retrospectively reviewed. Skeletal muscle area at the third lumbar vertebral (L3) level was measured, and skeletal muscle index (SMI) was calculated to determine sarcopenia, defined as SMI < 44.77 cm2/m2 and < 32.50 cm2/m2 for male and female, respectively. Glucometabolic parameters of the psoas major muscle, including maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax) and mean standardized uptake value (SUVmean), were measured at L3 as well. Their changes across treatment were also calculated as ΔSMI, ΔSUVmax, and ΔSUVmean; Δbody mass index was also calculated. Associations between SMI and the metabolic parameters were analyzed, and their associations with progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) were identified. Results: The incidence of sarcopenia was 29.1% and 36.9% before and after treatment, respectively. SMI (P = 0.004) was lower, and sarcopenia was more frequent (P = 0.011) at end-of-treatment than at baseline. The SUVmax and SUVmean of muscle were lower (P < 0.001) in sarcopenia than in non-sarcopenia at both baseline and end-of-treatment. ΔSMI was positively correlated with ΔSUVmax of muscle (P = 0.022). Multivariable Cox regression analysis showed that sarcopenia at end-of-treatment was independently negatively associated with PFS (adjusted hazard ratio [95% confidence interval], 2.469 [1.022–5.965]), while sarcopenia at baseline was independently negatively associated with OS (5.051 [1.453–17.562]). Conclusion: Sarcopenic patients had lower muscle glucometabolism, and the muscular and metabolic changes across treatment were positively correlated. Sarcopenia at baseline and end-of-treatment was negatively associated with the prognosis of DLBCL.

        A Novel Self-Learning Filters for Automatic Modulation Classification Based on Deep Residual Shrinking Networks

        Automatic modulation classification is a critical algorithm for non-cooperative communication systems. This paper addresses the challenging problem of closed-set and open-set signal modulation classification in complex channels. We propose a novel approach that incorporates a self-learning filter and center-loss in Deep Residual Shrinking Networks (DRSN) for closed-set modulation classification, and the Opendistance method for open-set modulation classification. Our approach achieves better performance than existing methods in both closed-set and open-set recognition. In closed-set recognition, the self-learning filter and center-loss combination improves recognition performance, with a maximum accuracy of over 92.18%. In open-set recognition, the use of a self-learning filter and center-loss provide an effective feature vector for open-set recognition, and the Opendistance method outperforms SoftMax and OpenMax in F1 scores and mean average accuracy under high openness. Overall, our proposed approach demonstrates promising results for automatic modulation classification, providing better performance in non-cooperative communication systems.

        A Complex Reinforced Polymer Interposer with Ordered Ni Grid and SiC Nano-whiskers Polyimide Composite Based on Micromachining Technology

        A complex reinforced polymer interposer comprised with conductive Nicylinders, ordered Ni grid and SiC nano-whiskers/Polyimide (PI)composite was proposed. The conductive Ni cylinders distributing in themiddle of each Ni grid unite designed as the supporting structure wereused as electric connecting component for the interposer and wereinsulated by the SiC nano-whiskers/PI composite. The comprehensiveproperties of the complex reinforced polymer interposer were improvedby a complex reinforced mechanism: the improved thermal conductivityand mechanical strength by the Ni supporting structure and the reducedmetal/polymer interfacial mismatch due to the SiC nano-whiskers/PIcomposite with the optimized mixture ratio. The above complexreinforced polymer interposer and a traditional reinforced polymerinterposer only with Ni grid were fabricated using micro-machiningtechnology for comparative analysis. The comprehensive properties ofthese two polymer interposers were analyzed respectively. Comparedwith the traditional design, the comprehensive properties of the proposedcomplex reinforced polymer interposer were improved further, such as,21.3% increase for the Young modulus, 10.1% decrease for thecoefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) and 54.9% increase for thethermal conductivity. Such complex reinforced mechanism based on themetal ordered grid and random nano-whiskers has potential to expandthe applications of the polymer interposer.
