'Ha Go Cho (夏枯草)' is one of the Chinese crude drugs used mainly as a diuretic. With regard to the botanical origin of 'Ha Go Cho', it was reported by Su et al. that those from China were originated from the fruited spica of Prunella vulgaris L. of Labiatae. It was, however, for the herba or spica of Prunella vulgaris L. var. lilacina Nakai from Korea. According to survey of markets in Korea, most of the materials collected in the markets seemed to be originated from Prunella plant, while some seemed to be Thesium plant of Santalaceae. To clarify the botanical origin of 'Ha Go Cho', the anatomical characteristics of Prunella vulgaris L. var. lilacina Nakai and Thesium chinense Turcz. were studied. As a result, it was clarified that some 'Ha Go Cho' from Korea were the herba or spica of Prunella vulgaris var. lilacina, whereas some others were the herba of Thesium chinense.

연구논문 : 발효차 청태전 제조용 미생물의 분리

Chungtaejeon is a traditional tea introduced in the age of the Three States and is the only “Don-cha” culture in the world that survived on the southwestern shore of Korea. To restore Chungtaejeon and to make the tea with consistent quality, the microorganisms involved in traditional type fermentation of Chungtaejeon were isolated, and the tea was prepared with high fermentation ability starters. The sensuous characteristics of Chungtaejeon were also examined. Only Bacilli were found in 3 and 5 year aged Chungtaejeon samples. The Lactobacilli were isolated from properly fermented kimchi and one of them showed high growth capability in media containing green tea extract and also showed strong antagonistic activity against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, S. aureus, Salmonella, and E. coli. It was identified and named Lactobacillus plantarum CHO25. Chungtaejeon was fermented with a single starter of L. plantarum CHO25 and with a mixed starter (L. plantarum CHO25, Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Bacillus amyloliquefaciens CHO104). The single fermented sample had the highest cell growth after 5 days of inoculation and the level decreased slowly thereafter. The mixed fermented sample showed strong growth of S. cerevisiae. The highest hunter values were the a value of the single fermented sample and the b value of the mixed sample. The single fermented tea showed the best incense score.

Skin entrance dose for digital and film radiography in Korean dental schools

Purpose : This study was aimed to compare skin entrance dose of digital radiography with that of film radiography and to show the dose reduction achievement with digital systems at 11 dental schools in Korea. Materials and Methods : Forty six intraoral radiographic systems in 11 dental schools were included in this study. Digital sensors were used in 33 systems and film was used in 13 systems. Researchers and the volunteer visited 11 dental schools in Korea. Researchers asked the radiologic technician (s) at each school to set the exposure parameters and aiming the x-ray tube for the periapical view of the mandibular molar of the volunteer. The skin entrance doses were measured at the same exposure parameters and distance by the technician for each system with a dosimeter (Multi-O-Meter : Unfors instruments, Billdal, Sweden). Results : The median dose was 491.2 μGy for digital radiography and 1,205.0 μGy for film radiography. The skin entrance dose digital radiography was significantly lower than that of film radiography (p<0.05). Conclusion : Fifty-nine percent skin entrance dose reduction with digital periapical radiography was achieved over the film radiography in Korean dental schools.

This is to investigate the posibility of home manufacturing of heavy chemical industry machines, such as rotary kiln, crusher, blower, cooler, electrostatic precipitator and weighing feeder of cement plant. It is concluded that even though we can not make all of them (some of them are made now and some others are going to be made in the near future, some of them are made whole and some others are made partially), we can build or export the cement plant by importing the important machines which we can not make now and by substituting them with ours gradually.

日本의 團體協約의 實態

In Japan, since the collective agreement had shown their instances with emerging the union movement from Meiji era, though those had scarcely existed, those had soaked into the lowest stratum of lavor movements like as underground water and had a great influence upon those of post-world war 2. But before the war, because that the whole field of labor movements including collective bargainings and strikes ha been brought severe tressure and control upon, and that most enterprises centering on macro-enterprises of heavy industry had made efforts to establish the in-plant labor relation like as the family relation which was supported by seniority-based wage and career employment, and so on, actually the growth and development of the trade union could not help but hindered, therefore, under such circumstances, it is though that there was no practicability of the spread and settlement of the collective agreement. Such collective agreements of Japan made a new start with the labor-reform by GHQ and the end of World War 2 as truning-point. While other countries, premising a historical fact that the union had established and maintained the specific social power as the responsible position in charge of the collective autonomy and the collective order, approved the right to organization legally and determined the type of legislations to those, but Japan only received the external assistance such as the formulation of the collective order and the collective autonomy based on the legal approval of the right to organization as a result of the liberation policy on the union by GHQ's labor-reforms. Therefore, studying on the developmental process of the collective agreement of Japan referring to the developmental process of Japanese capitalism, the changing process of the whole political factors represented by GHQ and the developmental process of the labor movement coping with this situation, the collective agreement what is called right declaration type agreement came out, that should declare the right of worker rather than stipulate labor conditions by reason of the specific situation following the war defeat and the state without establishing the constitutional law and the labor law at the period just after the war regarded as the first step period of those developmental process. But according that labor laws were enacted and reformed under the influence of GHQ and labor movements were influenced by GHQ, the American type agreement based on the mutual understanding and the equal and bilateral relation between employers and workers, came to be introduced to Japan through the translation of American agreements. Hawever, Japan should have been formulated the Japanese style agreement in the developmental process because the organization system of the union and the collective bargaining system as well as the recognition on the history of labor relations formulation and the collective agreement is different from those of America. It is said that to understand the status and the developmental process of the collective agreement in Japan has great significance because such a understanding should be premised in unfolding the labor law theory of those.

종합병원 입원환자의 알코올중독 유병율과 주치의의 인지도 조사

The authors studied prevalence and physician's detection rate of alcoholism in 478 adult patients admitted at Kyung-Hee Medical Center from June to July in 1992. In this study, the authors used self-report questionnaire consisting of Korean version of DSM-Ⅲ-R, MAST, NAST(I)(Alcoholism Screening Test of Seoul National Mental Hospital(I)), and additional demographic questions. The results were as following : 1) Among 478 patients, prevalence of alcoholism was 26.8%(76 patients) in male and 1.6%(e patients) in female. 2) Among the patients who are identified as alcoholism by the authors, detection rates of alcoholism by the charge physicians were 24.2% in internal medicine and none in other departments. 3) Compared to the alcoholic patients who are not detected by the charge physicians, the alcoholic patients who are detected are more aged patients showing high scored MAST significantly and having liver diseases.

I hale tried to find of the history of the freedom of religion, the difference of religion and magics, the difference of religion and false religion, and also tried to state about the contents of freedom of religion and it's restriction. As I saw it through it's history, because of the influence what the religion gives to the society has been great, so the nation should try to guarantee the freedom of religion actually, and it also needs to have a legislative measurement to prevent the evil influence of false religions; and the believers must try to operate his proper religious life and also must love his national land, nation and neighbours where he lives as a sound-minded person belonged to the nation; he must also try his best to be a fine person who can serve for them in better way. In conclusion, if I tell of the contents of freedom of religion and it's restriction, the liberty of the faith in conscience Can't be restricted by law, the acts of religious expression is not absoluted and unrestricted act, so the item 2, article 35 in our Constitution regulated as "The freedoms and rights of citizens may be restricted by law only when necessary for national security, the maintenance of law and order or for Public welfare. Even when such restriction is imposed, no essential aspect of the freedom or right shall be violated." As the standard of restriction of the civil rights in our constitution, for national security, I have searched of the precedent of the case of the freedom of religious acts and the political acts under martial law; and for "the maintenance of law and order", I have searched of the precedent of the case of bodily injury resulting in death according to the Kazi-prayer in Japan; and also searched of the precedent of the case of Taneya-pastor in Japan what it showed a preference of the private interests more than the public interests in the side of security of human rights . I didn't state about the disapproval of state religion and the principle of separation of religion and politics, in the theory of the freedom of religion, detaily on account of space consideration.
