Hydrodynamic characteristics of gas-solid flow has been analyzed by adopting the static pressure drop method in circulating fluidized beds. Pressure drop has been measured in the test section of the riser(0.1m IDx3.5m Height). The dried and filtered air was injected into the column through the perforated type distributor. Polyetylene powder whose density is 920 kg/㎥ and mean diameter is 454 ㎛ was used as a solid phase. The pressure drop slightly increased in the turbulent fluidized regime and rapidly decreased because of decreasing of solid hold-up in the fast fluidization regime with increasing superficial gas velocity. The slip velocity that is relative velocity between gas and solid velocity increased in the turbulent fluidized regime and decreased in the fast fluidized regime with increasing the superficial gas velocity.

Quercus variabilis is one of the most important tree species in both utilization of forest resources and management of forest ecosystem in Korea. To obtain the basic information for the establishment of breeding strategy and efficient management of genetic resources, five populations of Q. variabilis from 89 selected plus trees were studied using POPGENE and AMOVA analysis based on DNA markers focussing on the genetic diversity and variation among populations. The overall polymorphic amplicons were 78.6% and levels of genetic diversity within 5 populations were similar each other (Shannon's Index : 0.289∼0.423 [mean 0.366]). The values of total genetic diversity (H_t) and average gene diversity within population (H_S) were 0.265 and 0.239, respectively. The degree of genetic differentiation (G_st : 0.098) was relatively high compared with those of other tree species. Based on the cluster analysis of UPGMA, genetic relationships among 5 populations were not coincided with the pattern of geographic distribution.
대학생들의 자기이미지가 의복 혁신성과 동조성에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to examine self images as antecedents of clothing innovativeness and conformity. A survey questionnaire was made for the empirical research. 206 university students living in Seoul metropolitan area participated in the study. The data were analyzed using factor analysis, Chi-square, t-test, ANOVA, and stepwise regression. The self image measures were classified six factors (free, affirmative, self-centered, traditional, sensual, and feminine image). According to regression analysis, fashion innovativeness was affected by free, traditional, sensual image, and conformity was only influenced by traditional image. Respondents were classified into four groups by innovativeness and conformity scores; Low innovativeness/Low conformity group(LI/LC), Low innovativeness/High conformity group(LI/HC), High innovativeness/Low conformity group(HI/LC), and High innovativeness/High conformity group(HI/HC). For LI/LC consumers, innovativeness was affacted by the sensual self image. For LI/HC consumers, and innovativenss was affected by the feminine self image. The conformity of HI/LC were influenced by traditional self image.
부유대역 용융응고법으로 제조된 YBa_2Cu_3O_x 산화물초전도체의 미세구조와 전기적 특성

The YBa_2Cu_3O_x-20 wt% Y_2BaCuO_5 composition designed in YBCO system was synthesized by solid state reaction method. The optimum condition of hot zone temperature and growth rate in floating-zone melt were 1080 ℃ and 2.5 mm/hour, respectively. In samples growth as these condition, the low angel boundaries in grain direction and small amount of amorphous phase known as decreasing characteristics of superconducting materials between grain boundaries in microstructure are investigated by polarized light microscopy on the whole. The critical current density(Jc) at 77k of sample using powder fabricated with no CeO_2 and doped 5 wt%CeO_2 were 8,000 A/㎠(Jc : 561A) and 12,000 A/㎠(Jc: 826A) at 0 T by direct current transport method, respectively.
성역할, 의복동조성이 유행추구성향과 혁신추구성향에 미치는 영향

Conformity and nonconformity in dress are the two driving forces that make diffusion of new styles. More fundamental personal attributes that affect individuality in dress are masculine or feminine sex roles. Researchers reported that little differences were found between men and women in terms of conformity values. Fashion and clothing products are related to hedonic shopping and major hedonic shopping orientations in clothing shopping behavior of college students were often reported. This study was aimed to empirically test the effect of personality traits of masculinity-femininity on nonconformity and conformity in dress; the effects of nonconformity and conformity on major hedonic shopping orientations. A survey questionnaire was developed for the empirical research. Data from 181 students were used for statistical analysis using structural equation modeling. A conceptual model with masculinity and femininity as two exogenous variables, two shopping orientations as endogenous variables and nonconformity-conformity as two mediating variables were analyzed. Results confirm the significant structural paths from masculinity to nonconformity, from femininity to conformity and from nonconformity to novelty-seeking and conformity to fashion seeking) were statistically significant. The results of this study suggested that The personality traits and shopping orientation were antecedents and consequences of nonconformity-conformity in dress and clearer relationships do exist in the flow.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>(3-Aminomethylphenyl)boronic acid (AMPB)-installed hyaluronic acid–ceramide (HACE)-based nanoparticles (NPs), including manassantin B (MB), were fabricated for tumor-targeted delivery. The amine group of AMPB was conjugated to the carboxylic acid group of hyaluronic acid (HA) <I>via</I> amide bond formation, and synthesis was confirmed by spectroscopic methods. HACE-AMPB/MB NPs with a 239-nm mean diameter, narrow size distribution, negative zeta potential, and >90% drug encapsulation efficiency were fabricated. Exposed AMPB in the outer surface of HACE-AMPB NPs (in the aqueous environment) may react with sialic acid of cancer cells. The improved cellular accumulation efficiency, <I>in vitro</I> antitumor efficacy, and tumor penetration efficiency of HACE-AMPB/MB NPs, compared with HACE/MB NPs, in MDA-MB-231 cells (CD44 receptor-positive human breast adenocarcinoma cells) may be based on the CD44 receptor-mediated endocytosis and phenylboronic acid-sialic acid interaction. Enhanced <I>in vivo</I> tumor targetability, infiltration efficiency, and antitumor efficacies of HACE-AMPB NPs, compared with HACE NPs, were observed in a MDA-MB-231 tumor-xenografted mouse model. In addition to passive tumor targeting (based on an enhanced permeability and retention effect) and active tumor targeting (interaction between HA and CD44 receptor), the phenylboronic acid-sialic acid interaction can play important roles in augmented tumor targeting and penetration of HACE-AMPB NPs.</P> <P><B>Statement of Significance</B></P> <P>(3-Aminomethylphenyl)boronic acid (AMPB)-tethered hyaluronic acid-ceramide (HACE)-based nanoparticles (NPs), including manassantin B (MB), were fabricated and their tumor targeting and penetration efficiencies were assessed in MDA-MB-231 (CD44 receptor-positive human adenocarcinoma) tumor models. MB, which exhibited antitumor efficacies <I>via</I> the inhibition of angiogenesis and hypoxia inducible factor (HIF)-1, was entrapped in HACE-AMPB NPs in this study. Phenylboronic acid located in the outer surface of HACE-AMPB/MB NPs (in the aqueous <I>milieu</I>) may react with the sialic acid over-expressed in cancer cells and intramolecular B‒O bond can be formed. This phenylboronic acid-sialic acid interaction may provide additional tumor targeting and penetration potentials together with an enhanced permeability and retention (EPR) effect (passive tumor targeting) and HA-CD44 receptor interaction (active tumor targeting). Developed HACE-AMPB NP may be one of promising nanocarriers for the imaging and therapy of CD44 receptor-expressed cancers.</P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>
