      • 개선된 2D 허프 변환(Hough Transform)을 이용한 원 형상 검출 방법

        본 논문에서는 개선된 2D 허프 변환을 이용하여 영상에서 원형 모양을 검출하는 방법을 제안한다. 원형 검출을 위하여 2단계의 알고리즘을 사용한다. 첫째, 입력된 영상으로부터 2D 허프 변환을 생성을 위한 전처리 과정으로서 입력된 영상에 가우시안 필터를 사용한 후 캐니 에지 연산자(Canny Edge Operation)를 수행함으로써, 이미지의 잡음제거 과정을 수행한다. 둘째, 에지 마스크(Edge Mask)(11*11)안에 포함된 에지 영역을 각 포인트로 잡고 포인트를 두 점으로 하는 직선과 수직인 직선의 방정식을 이용하여 원의 중심점을 계산한다. 이때 지선의 방향을 알아내기 위해서 두 직선의 교차점과 에지의 포인터를 사용한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 방법은 기존의 2D 허프 변환 방법보다 적은 제약조건으로 원을 검출 할 수 있으며, 바른 수행 속도를 보였다. 또한 여러 실험영상에서 좋은 결과를 보였다.

        Application of solar advanced oxidation processes to the degradation of the antibiotic sulfamethoxazole

        This work deals with the treatment of highly concentrated sulfamethoxazole (SMX) solutions by some advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) that have not been studied until now. The antibiotic has been subjected to oxidation by photolysis, UV/$H_2O_2$ and photo-Fenton using both artificial light and sunlight as radiation sources depending on the installation scale. SMX, total organic carbon (TOC) and chemical oxygen demand (COD), as well as the generation of $NH_4^+$, $NO_3^-$ and $SO_4^{2-}$, were followed. SMX photolytic degradation efficiency followed the ranking: 254 nm lamps > sunlight > black-light blue (BLB) lamps (negligible for the latter). The highest eliminations were obtained by means of UV/$H_2O_2$ reaction in a lab-scale reactor (254 nm lamps) with an initial $H_2O_2$ concentration of 200 mg $L^{-1}$: ${\Delta}TOC$ = 62.3%; ${\Delta}COD$ = 79.1% (more than 6 h). Similar removals were achieved with a lab-scale photo-Fenton reactor (BLB lamps) but using 400 mg $L^{-1}$ of oxidant (94 min). The use of solar light appeared to be an interesting option since satisfactory results were obtained in the solar-based photo-Fenton experiments compared to the lab-scale ones, and also since a significant improvement with respect to the solar photolysis was achieved when performing the UV/$H_2O_2$ reaction with sunlight. Finally, some of the resultant effluents from different reactions were subjected to a short-term biodegradability test in order to estimate their quality from a biological point of view.

        Usefulness of Pharmacogenetic Analysis in Psychiatric Clinical Practice: A Case Report

        There are many factors involved in the effectiveness and efficiency of psychiatric drug treatment. One of them is psychotropic drug metabolism, which takes place mostly in the liver through the P450 enzyme system. However, there are genotypic variants of this system’s enzymes that can directly affect both the efficacy and the onset of side effects of a given therapeutic regimen. These genotypic changes could partly explain the lack of efficacy of treatment in certain patients. We report the case of a patient diagnosed with bipolar type I disorder that presented multiple and frequent manic episodes in which the efficacy and tolerability of several pharmacological regimens with mood stabilizers and antipsychotics was scarce. The choice of medical treatment should be based on its efficacy and side effect profile. This decision can be made more accurately using the information provided by pharmacogenetic analysis. This case illustrates the importance of pharmacogenetic studies in clinical practice. The results of pharmacogenetic analysis helped to decide on a better treatment plan to achieve clinical improvement and reduce drug-induced adverse effects.

        Probing Quantum Confinement within Single Core–Multishell Nanowires

        <P>Theoretically core–multishell nanowires under a cross-section of hexagonal geometry should exhibit peculiar confinement effects. Using a hard X-ray nanobeam, here we show experimental evidence for carrier localization phenomena at the hexagon corners by combining synchrotron excited optical luminescence with simultaneous X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy. Applied to single coaxial n-GaN/InGaN multiquantum-well/p-GaN nanowires, our experiment narrows the gap between optical microscopy and high-resolution X-ray imaging and calls for further studies on the underlying mechanisms of optoelectronic nanodevices.</P><P><B>Graphic Abstract</B> <IMG SRC='http://pubs.acs.org/appl/literatum/publisher/achs/journals/content/nalefd/2012/nalefd.2012.12.issue-11/nl303178u/production/images/medium/nl-2012-03178u_0007.gif'></P>

        A Preoperative Assessment of Significant Coronary Stenosis Based on a Semiquantitative Analysis of Coronary Artery Calcification on Noncontrast Computed Tomography in Aortic Stenosis Patients Undergoing Aortic Valve Replacement

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>Invasive coronary angiography (ICA) is the recommended assessment for coronary artery disease in patients undergoing elective aortic valve replacement (AVR). Noncontrast computed tomography (CT) is useful for evaluating lung lesions and calcifications at the cannulation site of the ascending aorta. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the role of noncontrast CT in the visual assessment of coronary artery calcification (CAC) in patients undergoing AVR.</P><P>We retrospectively identified patients with significant aortic stenosis (AS) who were referred for AVR between January 2006 and December 2013. Among these, we included 386 patients (53.6% males, 69.2 ± 8.4 years) who underwent both noncontrast CT and ICA. Significant coronary artery stenosis (CAS) in the ICA was defined as luminal stenosis ≥70%. The 4 main coronary arteries were visually assessed on noncontrast CT and were scored based on the Weston score as follows: 0, no visually detected calcium; 1, a single high-density pixel detected; 3, calcium was dense enough to create a blooming artifact; and 2, calcium in between 1 and 3. Four groups were reclassified by the sum of the Weston scores from each vessel, as follows: noncalcification (0); mild calcification (1–4); moderate calcification (5–8); and severe calcification (9–12). Receiver-operating characteristic (ROC) analysis was generated to identify the cutoff Weston score values for predicting significant CAS. Diagnostic estimates were calculated based on these cutoffs.</P><P>In the ICA analysis, 62 of the 386 patients (16.1%) had significant CAS. All patients were divided into 4 groups. The noncalcification group had 97 subjects (Weston score 0), the mild degree group had 100 (2.6 ± 1.0), the moderate calcification group had 114 (6.6 ± 1.1), and the severe calcification group had 75 (10.7 ± 1.1). The prevalence of significant CAS in the noncalcification, mild, moderate, and severe groups was 1% (1/97), 5% (5/100), 24% (27/114), and 39% (29/75), respectively. The group with CAS had significantly more CAC than the group without CAS (8.37 ± 2.93 vs 4.01 ± 3.75, <I>P</I> < 0.001). The cutoff value (by Weston score) for predicting significant CAS is ≥5 (sensitivity 90.3%, specificity 59.0%, positive predictive value 29.6%, and negative predictive value 97%).</P><P>The degree of CAC detected on noncontrast CT can help to predict significant CAS in AS patients who are referred for AVR. For the clinicians, the visual assessment of CAC on noncontrast CT was easy and useful for estimating CAS. Therefore, ICA should be recommended to selective patients based on patients’ CAC and Weston scores during the preoperative evaluation for elective AVR.</P>

        슈팅 게임(Shoting game)은 액션게임에 속해 있는 장르중 하나로 총 또는 미사일 같은 원거리 무기를 사용해 공격과 적의 공격을 피하는 게임이며[1]‘비행슈팅(Aircraft Shooting)’은 비행기를 조작해서 싸우는 게임이다[2]. 비행슈팅게임은 누구나 게임에 대해 쉽게 이해하고, 쉽게 즐길 수 있기 때문에 다른 장르의 게임들에 비해 대중화 되어 있다. 본 게임은 컴퓨터에서 쉽게 즐길 수 있도록 설계된 게임으로 우주를 배경으로 제작된 게임이며, 수많은 운석과 기뢰들을 피하고, 게임 중반부에 나오는 해적선을 파괴하고 목적지까지 도달하는 것이 게임의 목표이다. 본 게임은 Unity3D를 이용하였고, Unity3D엔진은 다른 플랫폼과의 호완성이 좋고 자체 내에서 지원해주는 기능들이 많기 때문에 많은 개발자들이 사용하고 있다.

      • 男子大學生의 欲求와 衣服의 評價基準과의 關係 硏究

        The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship between needs(need for abasement, autonomy, exhibitionism, sex, achievement, emotion) and criteria of clothing evaluation(aesthics, status symbolism, modesty, economy, fashion) of college males, and to find out the relationship between criteria of clothing evlauation and demographic variables. (college, proportion of female in department, income.) For this study, the quetionnaire were administered to 386 college males. The data were analyzed by using Pearson's correlation, F-test, Partial correlation. The results of this study were as follows : 1) Need for achivement was strongest and need for exhibitionism, need for sex was generally strong among college males. 2) There were not significant differences in criteria of clothing evaluation according to proportion of female in department, and college too. But there were significant differences in criteria of clothing evaluation according to the income. 3) Significant positive correlation were found among the three criteria of clothing evaluation: aesthics, status symbolism, fashion. And modesty correlated significantly with economy at the .001 level. 4) There were significant positive correlation between need for abasement and modesty(p〈0.001), economy(p〈0.001). But there were negative correlation between need for abasement and fashion. Need for exhibitionism, need for sex positively correlated with aesthics, status symbolism, fashion. While need for sex negatively correlated with modesty. And need for achievement positively correlated with aesthics. 5) When status symbolism and fashion were controlled, need for exhibitionism and need for achievement positively correlated with aesthics at the .001 level. While need for sex not significantly correlated with aesthics when fashion was controlled. When aesthics was controlled, need for exhibitionism significant positively correlated fashion at the .001 level. When aesthics and fashion were controlled, need for sex correlated significantly with status symbolismat at the .01 level. After status symbolism and aesthics were controlled, need for sex correlated significantly with fashion at the .01 level and need for abasement negatively correlated with fashion at the .001 level. When fashion and status symbolism were controlled, need for exhibitionism and need for achievement significantly correlated with aesthics at the .001 level.
