In this paper, we developed a Windows XP version off-line programming system which can simulate a track vehicle model in 3D graphics space. The track vehicle was adopted as an objective model. The interface between users and the off-line program system in the Windows XP's graphic user interface environment was also studied. The developing language is Microsoft Visual C++. Graphic libraries, OpenGL, by Silicon Graphics, Inc. were utilized for 3D Graphics.

Cells in avisual cortex line in columns which are perpendicular to the cortical surface and the cortical cells in a column prefer to respond to an orientation of each line segments of an sesory image. orientation preference of each cortical column is highly correlated to those of nearbycolumns and varies smoothly anlong the surface of the cortex. To elucidate the mechanism of this columnar organization, we propose a simple model consisting of orientation selective neruons(OSNs) with local facilitation and lateral inhibition. it is playsible that modifiable connections play an important role in forming and refining the organization togher with the sensory experience. Thus the feed-forward connections between OSNs and LGN cells are modifiable. The interactions between OSNs in the same layer take place by way of feedback pathways and are excitatory and inhibitory. The behavior of the model is described by a STM equations of Growwberg and critical parameter of negative one dimensional ??G function, σ would give variety to the differences in detected orientations.

N/A Background/Aims: For the evaluation of recent reports that H. pylori infection plays a causative ro1e in the pathogenesis of upper gastrointestinal diseases, we studied the relationship between the presence of H. pylori infection in patient and asymptomatic volunteer groups, using histologic demonstration of the bacteria, CLO test, and serum H. pylori antibody titer. Calculation of sensitivity, specificity, and predictive value of CLO test and antibody detection rate in relation to histologic demonstration were also performed. Methods: We evaluated the detection rate of H. pylori infection by direct demonstration with special stain, CLO test, and IgG antibody titer by EIA method in 80 symptomatiq patients who were categorized by endoscopic findings into 24 patients with chronic gastritis, 22 patients with gastric ulcer, 20 patients with duodenal ulcer, 14 patients with gastric cancer, and 20 asymptomatic volunteers. Four or more biopsy specimens of gastric and duodenal mucosa were taken from each of the total 100 cases with gastrofibroscopy and then blood samples were also taken. Results: In sections stained by Warthin-Starry method, H. pylori was found 62.5% in the 80 patients group and 30.0% in the 20 asymptomatic volunteers group. The prevalence of H. pylori was the highest in gastric cancer group(71.4%). The prevalence of H. pylori in the patients with peptic ulcer and gastric cancer was significantly higher than the asymptomatic volunteer group(p0.05). Positive CLO test in the patient group was 77.5% and 35.0% in the 20 asymptomatic volunteers group. The positive rate was the highest in gastric cancer group. The positive rate of the CLO test in patients with peptic ulcer and gastric cancer groups was significantly higher than the asymptomatic volunteer group(p0.05). The positive rate of IgG antibody test in the patient group was 82.5% and 45% in the 20 asymptomatic volunteer group. The rate of positivity was the highest in duodenal ulcer group. The positive rate of the serum IgG antibody test in all patient groups was significantly higher than asymptomatic volunteer group(p 0.05). Sensitivity and specificity of CLO test and IgG antibody test in relation to direct H. pylori smear was 94.6%, 76.7%, 96.4%, and 53.47o respectively. Conclusions: The positive rate of the H. pylori infection in patients with peptic ulcer and gastric cancer groups was significantly elevated compared with control and chronic gastritis groups for each of the 3 tests. For clinical purpose, CLO test can be used as a single guide for the treatment of H. pylori infection for its rapidity and efficacy. (Korean J Gastroenterol 1996;28: 19 - 27)

As South Korea becomes a super-aged society by 2025, the number of patients with Parkinson’s disease (PD) is increasing rapidly. PD is characterized by motor symptoms, such as bradykinesia, tremor, and rigidity, and non-motor symptoms, such as depression, cognitive impairment, and autonomic nervous system disorders. The pathophysiology of dysphagia in PD is a complex interplay of motor disorders caused by dopamine deficiency in the basal ganglia and the involvement of the brainstem swallowing center and the peripheral nerve system affected by the PD pathology. Dysphagia in PD presents difficulties in taking medications, contributes to malnutrition and dehydration, and reduces the overall quality of life. Despite dysphagia being a prevalent problem in PD, a significant number of patients remain unaware of the swallowing difficulties. Therefore, healthcare practitioners need to understand dysphagia in PD, consider early screening and objective evaluations, and proactively implement swallowing treatment and compensatory therapy as needed. This review examines the pathophysiology, clinical characteristics, screening and diagnosis, and severity assessment of dysphagia in PD.

Untargeted metabolomic fingerprinting is a discovery tool for the identification of metabolites associated with the response to dietary and environmental perturbations. Direct analysis in real-time mass spectrometry (DART MS) promises to be a powerful analytical technique for high-throughput metablome analysis of insect. In this study, we used the DART MS technique to find tracers related to the origin of small brown planthopper (Laodelphax striatellus), and conducted a untargeted metabolomic fingerprinting on the wings and exoskeleton in Chinese and domestic collectives. This paper showed that DART MS metabolomic fingerprinting represents a rapid and powerful analytical strategy enabling distinguish of two different origin’s small brown planthoppers by recording metabolomic fingerprints.
