RCM은 최저의 비용으로 장비의 운용효과를 향상시킬 수 있는 예방정비계획을 수립하는 이론으로서 국내에는 대형 설비 및 운송체계 뿐만 아니라 무기체계에서도 이를 적용하고 있다. 하지만 국내 무기체계 개발/운용 과정에서 RCM 활동은 여러 가지 제약사항으로 인해 적극적으로 진행되지 못하고 있으며, 이로 인해 현재 정비업무의 적합성을 정기적으로 검토하지 못하고 정비업무 최적화를 이루지 못하고 있는 실정이다.따라서 본 연구에서는 이러한 정비업무 수립문제의 해소방안을 알아보고자 기존 정비업무 선정활동, RCM 적용 실태 및 개선점을 알아보고 더 나아가 전통적인 RCM 결정논리의 발전방향을 살펴보았다.
Spectal Characteristics of Dry-Vegetation Cover Types Observed by Hyperspectral Data

Because of the phenological variation of vegetation growth in temperate region, it is often difficult to accurately assess the surface conditions of agricultural croplands, grasslands, and disturbed forests by multi-spectral remote sensor data. In particular, the spectral similarity between soil and dry vegetation has been a primary problem to correctly appraise the surface conditions during the non-growing seasons in temperature region. This study analyzes the spectral characteristics of the mixture of dry vegetation and soil. The reflectance spectra were obtained from laboratory spectroradiometer measurement (GER-2600) and from EO-1 Hyperion image data. The reflectance spectra of several samples having different level of dry vegetation fractions show similar pattern from both lab measurement and hyperspectral image. Red-edge near 700nm and shortwave IR near 2,200nm are more sensitive to the fraction of dry vegetation. The use of hyperspectral data would allow us for better separation between bare soils and other surfaces covered by dry vegetation during the leaf-off season.

A lot of information storage devices have been introduced and developed for recently years. The trends of those devices are high capacity, compact size, low power consumption, reliability, and removability for data interchange with other device. As a satisfaction of these trends, near-field technique is in the spotlight as the next generation device. In order for a near-field recording to be successfully implemented in the storage device, a slider and suspension is introduced as actuating mechanism. The optical slider is designed considering near-filed optics. Suspension is not only supports slider performance, and tracking servo capacity but also meets the optical characteristics such as tilt aberration, and guarantee to satisfy shock performances for the mobility for the actuator. In this study, the optical slider and the suspension for near-field probe array are designed and analyzed considering dynamic performance of head-gimbal assembly and shock simulation..

<P>Obesity is considered to be a metaflammatory condition. <I>Ecklonia cava</I>, brown algae rich in polyphenols, has shown strong antioxidant activity in vitro. This study investigated the effect of <I>E. cava</I> polyphenol extract (ECPE) on the regulation of fat metabolism, inflammation, and the antioxidant defense system in high fat diet-induced obese mice. After obesity was induced by a high-fat diet (HFD), the mice were administered ECPE by gavage for 5 days/12 weeks. ECPE supplementation reduced body weight gain, adipose tissue mass, plasma lipid profiles, hepatic fat deposition, insulin resistance, and the plasma leptin/adiponectin ratio derived from HFD-induced obesity. Moreover, ECPE supplementation selectively ameliorated hepatic protein levels associated with lipogenesis, inflammation, and the antioxidant defense system as well as activation of AMPK and SIRT1. Diversity of Endophytic Fungi Isolated from Korean Ginseng Leaves

We investigated the diversity of the foliar endophytes of Korean ginseng. Endophytic fungi were isolated from healthy leaves of mountain-cultivated ginseng (MCG) and field-cultivated ginseng (FCG) at 4 sites in Chungbuk Province. A total of 24 species of fungal endophytes were identified using molecular approaches. Additionally, the diversity of these endophytic fungi was compared between MCG and FCG. The major isolated endophytes were Edenia gomezpompae and Gibberella moniliformis in the MCG and FCG samples, respectively. The results suggest that ginseng endophytes have different community structures in different environments, and this understanding may prove useful in ginseng cultivation.

A preparation of water soluble components (EA) was made from carpophores of Elfvingia applanata (Pers.) Karst and its in vitro antiviral activity on vesicular stomatitis virus [(Indiana serotype, VSV(IND)] was investigated by plaque reduction assay. EA exhibited potent antiviral activity on VSV(IND) growth and negligible cytotoxicity on Vero cells, 50% effective concentration ($EC_{50}C$/) of 104$ug\textrm\/ml$ and 50% cytotoxic concentration ($CC_{50}C$) of 3,793$ug\textrm\/ml$, respectively. Selectivity index (Sl $CC_{50}C$/$EC_{50}C$) of EA on Vero cell and VSV(IND) was about 36.5. EA did not display either a direct virucidal effect on V5V(IND) or induction of antiviral substance by Vero cells upon its treatment. Thus, the mode of antiviral activity of EA was studied at steps of viral adsorption onto cell. When both EA and virus were added to cell monolayers, titer of cell-free virus in culture supernatant increased in ca. 30-40% compared with that of control group and titer of cell-associated virus was 60-100% higher than that of control group. These results suggested that antiviral activity of EA on VSV(IND) might be due to the hindrance of viral entry to cells at eITher endocytosis or loss of envelope.
Integrated ADPCM Systems Lead to ASDSP Family:Results from the Computer Simulations

With advances in semicustom design methodologies, Application Specific DSP (ASDSP) has started to emerge in mare complicated DSP functions. A new approach io semicustom DSP chip will be provided by utilizing DSP processor cares as elements in a semicustom design library. Cast effective ASDSP solutions rely on efficient algorithm development and implementation. In this paper, Adaptive Differential Pulse Code Modulation (ADPCM) family is proposed to DSP chip makers as being good candidate for such ASDSP core elements library to expand their product offerings. CCITT G.721, G.723, and G.722 compatible systems have been designed using DSP software tools. G.722 compatible system can be used to transmit the 64 Kb/s stereophonic voice signal over the narrowband telephone channel using cross-channel correlation canceller. This ADPCM system family is simulated using floating point precision as well as fixed point bit precision environments. VHDL expression of the system is simulated using the VHDL, simulation tool offered by the Comdisco/Synopsys DSP/ASIC toolset and shows how the new evolving DSP software tools can else the burden of designing such a complicated ASDSP chip.
