Saturated fatty acids are less vulnerable to lipid peroxidation than their unsaturated counterparts. In this investigation, individual fatty acids of the $C_{16}$, $C_{18}$ and $C_{20}$ families were subjected to the thiobarbituric (TBA) assay. These fatty acids were chosen based on their degree of saturation and configuration of double bonds. Interestingly, an assay threshold was reached where increasing the fatty acid concentration resulted in no additional decrease in the TBARS concentrations. Therefore, the linear range of TBARS inhibition was determined for fatty acids in the $C_{16}$ and $C_{20}$ families. The rate of TBARS inhibition was greater for the saturated than for unsaturated fatty acids, as measured from the slope of the linear range. These findings demonstrate the need to standardize the TBARS assay using multiple fatty acid concentrations when using this assay for measuring in vitro lipid peroxidation.

이 연구는 음악치료사들의 수퍼바이저 입문경험에 대한 협력적 자문화기술지로 초보 수퍼바이저들의 음악치료 수퍼비전 경험을 고찰하는 것에 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 현장 수퍼비전 기록, 수퍼비전 영상, 영상 분석자료, 수퍼비전에 대한 수퍼비전의 피드백 자료 등을 수집하였고 연구자 세 명의 경험에 대한 심층적인 기술과 사회적 맥락으로 해석하는 자문화기술지의 연구방법을 사용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 연구자들은 수퍼바이저라는 역할을 구축해가는 과정에서 전문성에 대한 불안과 역전이를 경험하기도 하였으나, 수퍼비전 노트 작성과 수퍼비전에 대한 수퍼비전을 통해 자신을 성찰하고 수퍼 바이저로서의 역할을 정립해갔음을 볼 수 있었다. 이 연구는 연구자들의 경험에 대해 예술자료들을 함께 제시하여 다양한 시각으로 해석하였으며, 연구의 결과가 수퍼바이저를 양성하는 과정에서 역할을 확립해가는 이들의 역동을 이해하고, 해결의 단서를 제공하는데 도움이 되기를 바란다. The purpose of this research is to examine what actually happens in the beginning of the journey of becoming music therapy supervisors by looking into the introductory supervisory experiences of three novice music therapy supervisors, using a relatively new qualitative research method, collaborative auto-ethnography. Audio records of onsite supervision, supervisor’s logs, and written memos from supervision of supervision were used as main data of the study. The analysis of the data showed that the novice supervisors experienced various difficulties including performance anxiety, competence anxiety, and insecurities due to counter-transferences. However, through in-depth self-reflect, and consistent supervision of supervision they also owned growth experience such as establishment of professional philosophy, approach and identity as a supervisor. This research was interpreted from various perspectives by providing researchers experiences with artistic materials. The data were interpreted and analyzed with various perspectives by providing researchers self-reflective artistic experiences. The results of this research will facilitate deeper understandings of development process of novice music therapy supervisors.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception of a good death and attitudes towards terminal care among nursing students. Methods: A cross-sectional study was used to gather self-reported data from 143 nursing students at two universities located in Wonju, Gangwon-do. The subjects completed the perception of death and the Korean version of Attitudes toward Nursing Care of the Dying Scale. The data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, and Person s correlation coefficients. Results: The mean score of perception of death was significantly different according to the subject’s grade (F=2.98, p=.034). The mean score of attitudes towards terminal care was significantly different according to grade (F=7.35, p<.001), experience of clinical practice (t=4.54, p<.001), and experience of the death of a patients during clinical practices (t=2.24, p=.027). There was a positive correlation between the perception of death and attitudes towards terminal care, and it was statistically significant (r=.225, p=.007). Conclusion: A systematic and diverse educational program is needed to improve the perception of death among nursing students. A support and counseling program is also needed to help nursing students who experience patient’s death during clinical practice to positively sublime their death.
Development of prototype induced-fission-based Pu accountancy instrument for safeguards applications

Prototype safeguards instrument for nuclear material accountancy (NMA) of uranium/transuranic (U/TRU) products that could be produced in a future advanced PWR fuel processing facility has been developed and characterized. This is a new, hybrid neutron measurement system based on fast neutron energy multiplication (FNEM) and passive neutron albedo reactivity (PNAR) methods. The FNEM method is sensitive to the induced fission rate by fast neutrons, while the PNAR method is sensitive to the induced fission rate by thermal neutrons in the sample to be measured. The induced fission rate is proportional to the total amount of fissile material, especially plutonium (Pu), in the U/TRU product; hence, the Pu amount can be calibrated as a function of the induced fission rate, which can be measured using either the FNEM or PNAR method. In the present study, the prototype system was built using six <SUP>3</SUP>He tubes, and its performance was evaluated for various detector parameters including high-voltage (HV) plateau, efficiency profiles, dead time, and stability. The system's capability to measure the difference in the average neutron energy for the FNEM signature also was evaluated, using AmLi, PuBe, <SUP>252</SUP>Cf, as well as four Pu-oxide sources each with a different impurity (Al, F, Mg, and B) and producing (α,n) neutrons with different average energies. Future work will measure the hybrid signature (i.e., FNEMxPNAR) for a Pu source with an external interrogating neutron source after enlarging the cavity size of the prototype system to accommodate a large-size Pu source (~600g Pu).
