Recently, RFID systems have been used in various fields. Accordingly, many studies for about the planar antenna have been conducted. The planar antenna is fabricated by the technologies such as winding, embedding, screen printing and etching. But, these technologies have limitations such as limit for the substrate, complex process and need for expensive equipments. On the other hand, if the planar antenna is fabricated by using Direct Writing(DW), it is possible to obtain the variety of benefits such as the limit of substrate, cost reduction and simplification of the manufacturing process. In this study, we fabricated the rectangular planar spiral antenna suing DW. The measured values of fabricated rectangular planar spiral antenna was compared with Theoretical value.
Hilbert-Huang Transformation based Solar Light Noise Suppression Method

Solar light noise, as the main part of channel noise in outdoor visible light communication (VLC) system, would easily saturate the photon-detector, and dramatically decrease the outdoor VLC system performance. A Hilbert-Huang Transformation based solar light noise suppression method is proposed in this paper, a background light noise measurement system is also designed and implemented to verify the noise suppression method's performance. And the measurement result shows that it could effectively reduce the solar light noise, and improve the VLC system’s stability and reliability.

Fusobacterium nucleatum is a dangerous pathogen, and it has been linked to a variety of health problems, including cancer, periodontal disease, and pregnancy complications. F. nucleatum butanol dehydrogenase (FnYqdH) is a group of dehydrogenase enzymes that facilitate interconversion between butyraldehyde and butanol at the expenditure of a cofactor NAD (P)H. In this study, FnYqdH was successfully expressed and purified using Ni-NTA affinity, Q anionexchange, and gel-filtration chromatography. The protein crystal was obtained and diffracted to a resolution of 2.0 Å. The crystal belonged to the orthorhombic space group of I222, with unit-cell parameters of a = 64.77, b = 78.85, and c = 215.22 Å. The Matthews coefficient and solvent content were estimated to be 3.19 Å3 Da–1 and 61.49%, respectively, assuming that the asymmetric unit contained only one recombinant protein molecule. Size-exclusion chromatography suggested that FnYqdH prefers to exist as a dimer in the solution.
Analysis and Design of Seismic Robustness of FRP-Reinforced Frame based on Interlayer Displacement

For a structure, robustness is a high-level performance index since it takes account of the effects of impact, explosion, earthquake and other instantaneous dynamic actions on the structure safety. In this work, layer is taken as the tie between the column and the frame. Two concepts, namely, “layer importance coefficient” of the column and “layer vulnerability coefficient” of the frame, are introduced. Based on these, the method for calculating the seismic robustness is proposed and analyzes the seismic robustness of three FRP-reinforced frame models. The results show that: The robustness of the frame with the 1st layer column reinforced with two layer CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced polymer) (F20RC) and the 1st and 2nd layer column reinforced with one layer CFRP (F11RC), respectively are better than that of the 1st layer column reinforced with one layer CFRP (F10RC). As the intensity of earthquake action increases, the seismic robustness index decreases. When UBC97's acceleration-related parameter Ca = 0.36 and velocityrelated parameter Cv = 0.36, the robustness coefficient of the three models F20RC, F11RC, F10RC are 36.5, 37.2, 34.1, respectively. When Ca = 0.6, Cv = 0.6, that of F20RC, F11RC, F10RC are 24.2, 20.4, 19.5, respectively. Finally, the procedure for designing the FRP-reinforced frame based on the seismic robustness is presented and demonstrated.

Erasable conductive domain walls in insulating ferroelectric thin films can be used for non-destructive electrical read-out of the polarization states in ferroelectric memories. Still, the domain-wall currents extracted by these devices have not yet reached the intensity and stability required to drive read-out circuits operating at high speeds. This study demonstrated non-destructive read-out of digital data stored using specific domain-wall configurations in epitaxial BiFeO<SUB>3</SUB> thin films formed in mesa-geometry structures. Partially switched domains, which enable the formation of conductive walls during the read operation, spontaneously retract when the read voltage is removed, reducing the accumulation of mobile defects at the domain walls and potentially improving the device stability. Three-terminal memory devices produced 14 nA read currents at an operating voltage of 5 V, and operated up to T = 85 °C. The gap length can also be smaller than the film thickness, allowing the realization of ferroelectric memories with device dimensions far below 100 nm.

A numerical model of the combination electronic unit pump (CEUP) fuel injection system was developed in AMESim environment. The effects of five key influencing factors, including cam profile velocity, plunger diameter, length of high pressure fuel pipe, inner diameterof high pressure fuel pipe and nozzle flow rate on injection characteristic parameters, were analyzed by using the developed numericalmodel. On the basis, a correlation analysis between the influencing factors and injection characteristics was performed by usingthe design of experiments (DoE) method, and the influences of these factors were quantized accordingly. Relevant results show that boththe single influencing factor and the interaction among these factors correlates with the injection characteristics, and the correlation representsa complex law with the cam rotational speed. The effect of plunger diameter on the injection pressure, cycle fuel injection quantityand injection duration is the most obvious, especially at a cam rotational speed of 500 r/min and the correlation coefficient is up to 0.82. The length of high-pressure pipe (HP pipe) has the most obvious influence on the coefficient of fuel feeding at cam rotational speed of500 r/min and 800 r/min, and the correlation coefficient is negative. Overall, the independent influence of the factors is more significantthan the combined influence of various factors. The CEUP fuel injection system is a complicated multi-input multi-output (MIMO)nonlinear system in fact.
