Measurements of global emissions, flame radiation and flame dimensions are presented for unconfined turbulent-jet and precessing-jet diffusion flames. Precessing jet flames are characterised by increases in global flame radiation and global flame residence time for methane and propane fuels, however a strong dependency of the NOx emission indices on the fuel type exists. The fuel type dependence is considered to be because soot radiation is more effective than gas-radiation at reducing global flame temperatures relative to adiabatic flame temperatures and reducing the NO production rate.
A Multiple-Output Current Mirror with Neuron MOSFETs

In this paper, we propose a multiple-output current mirror with neuron MOSFETs. The proposed circuit is composed of a transimpedance amplifier with multiple-output. Consequently, the proposed circuit has high current copy accuracy and a high output swing. Then the proposed circuit has two output terminals for a high performance operational amplifier and a high resolution digital-to-analog converter. The proposed circuit is designed by using the device parameter of the standard CMOS 1.2㎛ process. The performance of the proposed circuit is evaluated by HSPICE simulation. Simulation results show that the error rate of current copy in the proposed circuit is ±0.001[%] when output voltage is 0.13[V] and over.

High sensitivity, stable ultraviolet photodiodes of a ZnSSe PIN junction structure on p+-GaAs substrates were developed by using molecular beam epitaxy (MBE). These short-wavelength photodiodes are fabricated on p-type (100) GaAs by utilizing an optimized \hetero-interface super-lattice (SL) buer" consisting of ZnTe-ZnSe multiple quantum well (MQW), overcoming a large energy barrier (>1 eV) for hole conduction in the GaAs-ZnSe hetero-interface. Another new important improved technique is to form an extremely thin, high-donor doping n+-window layer of 150 Å for incident ultraviolet light, by which we have established a high sensitivity of 0.11 A/W (ηex = 45 %: wavelength = 300 nm) with very low dark leakage currents (sub pA/mm2 at 20 V) at 300 K.
Unimanual and Bimanual Weight Discrimination in Lifting Objects with a Power Assist System

In this paper, we designed a 1 DOF power assist system for lifting objects based on human operator"s perception of object weight. We established psychophysical relationships between the actual weights and the power assisted weights of objects lifted with the power assist system. We also determined the excess of the load forces that humans applied while lifting objects with the system. The psychophysical relationships were established and the excessive load forces were determined for two protocols independently: 1) unimanual lifting, and 2) bimanual lifting. Then, we suggested using the findings to design power assist systems for carrying heavy objects in various industries that would enhance maneuverability, naturalness, ease of use, stability, safety etc. while carrying heavy objects with the power assist systems.
