This study was performed the comparison of physiological function between a sword dance and treadmill running, For the positive factors of sword dance through physical activity and music component on the psycho-hysiological change. Subjects were consisted of 20-aged 16 female sword dancer of 2 groups, as skillful dancer group(n=B) and novice group(n=B), The results were as follow: In graded maximal testing, VO₂max, anaerobic threshold, and recovery capacity after maximal exercise in skillful group showed a higher than novice group. Change of heart rate during a sword dancing is almost similar level to optimal intensity in aerobic exercise program, so sword dance could be suggested an effective exercise program Physiological stimulus to cardiopulmonary function is different response as the different career of sword dance, because novice group showed a significant(p<.05) higher heart rate in sword dance than treadmill running. Blood lactate concentration showed a similar response between sword dancing and treadmill running in both 2 groups. Novice group showed a higher RPE in sword dancing than treadmill running, but skillful group showed a lower RPE in sword dancing than treadmill running. These results mean that the acquainted level of sword dance affected to the psychological response during sword dancing In these result, hypothesis of the similar blood lactate change between sword dancing and treadmill running could be accepted, but RPE is different response as the different career of sword dance.

<P>The purpose of this study was to demonstrate the potential alterations in structural network properties related to physical activity (PA) in healthy elderly. We recruited 76 elderly individuals with normal cognition from Samsung Medical Center in Seoul, Korea. All participants underwent the Cambridge Neuropsychological Test Automated Battery and 3.0T brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Participants were subdivided into quartiles according to the International Physical Activity Questionnaire scores, which represents the amount of PA. Through graph theory based analyses, we compared global and local network topologies according to PA quartile. The higher PA group demonstrated better performance in speed processing compared to the lower PA group. Regional nodal strength also significantly increased in the higher PA group, which involved the bilateral middle frontal, bilateral inferior parietal, right medial orbitofrontal, right superior, and middle temporal gyri. These results were further replicated when the highest and the lowest quartile groups were compared in terms of regional nodal strengths and local efficiency. Our findings that the regional nodal strengths associated with the attentional network were increased in the higher PA group suggest the preventive effects of PA on age-related cognitive decline, especially in attention.</P>

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of position change on discomfort and bleeding in patients undergone coronary angiography with a vascular device and required bed-rest. Method: This study utilized nonequivalent control group non-synchronized design. Data were collected from 118 inpatients after coronary angiography and stayed in general ward at Y hospital in Seoul, from June 5 to August 12, 2008. After coronary angiography, position change was performed to the experimental group who consisted of 59 patients. They stayed in supine position just after angiography and then head-up position with 15 degrees was applied 1 hour later. After that, they could change the position alternatively into lateral position with leg down and supine position. The control group was positioned keeping the affected leg immobile with supine position for 4 hours. Results: The experimental group reported significantly more comfortable than control group after position change. There were no significant differences in the grades of bleeding or hematoma at puncture site between the two groups. Conclusion: The position change in patients undergone angiography could be applied without any harm such as bleeding or hematoma, but effective in reducing back pain and subjective patients' discomforts.
P-Glycoprotein Inhibitory Activity of Indonesian Medicinal Plants in Human Breast Cancer Cells

In order to examine their effects on the P-glycoprotein (P-gp) activity in human breast cancer cels,Calotropis gigantea, Curcuma aeruginosa, Merremia mammosa, Sindora sumatrana, and Zingiber casumunar,showed the most potent P-gp inhibitory activity. When each of these extracts was treated together with theanticancer agent, daunomycin, they increased the cytotoxic activity of daunomycin up to IC50 values of les than6.62 M, which is a value with a positive control, verapamil. Also, other 15 plant extracts exhibited significant P-50 values betwen 6.62 and 13.20 M. These prospective samples wil be subjectedto further laboratory phytochemical investigation to find active principles.Keywords . . . . . . .
Synthesis of Amorphous Matrix Nano-composite in Al-Cu-Mg Alloy

The microstructure of as-quenched $Al_{70}Cu_{18}Mg_{12}$ alloy has been investigated in detail using transmission electron microscopy. Al nano-crystals about 5 nm with a high density are distributed in the amorphous matrix, indicating amorphous matrix nano-composite can be synthesized in Al-Cu-Mg alloy. The high density of Al nano-crystals indicates very high nucleation rate and sluggish growth rate during crystallization possibly due to limited diffusion rate of solute atoms of Cu and Mg during solute partitioning. The result of hardness measurement shows that the mechanical properties can be improved by designing a nano-composite structure where nanometer scale crystals are embedded in the amorphous matrix.
Crystallization Behavior of Al-Ni-Y Amorphous Alloys

The crystallization behavior in the $Al_{87}Ni_3Y_{10}$ and $Al_{88}Ni_3Y_9$amorphous alloys has been investigated. As-quenched $Al_{87}Ni_3Y_{10}$ amorphous phase decomposes by simultaneous formation of Al and intermetallic phase at the first crystallization step, while as-quenched $Al_{88}Ni_3Y_9$ amorphous phase decomposes by forming Al nanocrystals in the amorphous matrix. The density of Al nanocrystals is extremely high and the size distribution is homogeneous. Such a microstructure can result from rapid explosion of the nucleation event in the amorphous matrix or growth of the preexisting nuclei embedded in the as-quenched amorphous matrix. The final equilibrium crystalline phases and their distribution at 873 K are exactly same in both $Al_{87}Ni_3Y_{10}$ and $Al_{88}Ni_3Y_9$ alloys.

<P>Many insects possess symbiotic bacteria that affect the biology of the host. The level of the symbiont population in the host is a pivotal factor that modulates the biological outcome of the symbiotic association. Hence, the symbiont population should be maintained at a proper level by the host's control mechanisms. Several mechanisms for controlling intracellular symbionts of insects have been reported, while mechanisms for controlling extracellular gut symbionts of insects are poorly understood. The bean bug <I>Riptortus pedestris</I> harbors a betaproteobacterial extracellular symbiont of the genus <I>Burkholderia</I> in the midgut symbiotic organ designated the M4 region. We found that the M4B region, which is directly connected to the M4 region, also harbors <I>Burkholderia</I> symbiont cells, but the symbionts therein are mostly dead. A series of experiments demonstrated that the M4B region exhibits antimicrobial activity, and the antimicrobial activity is specifically potent against the <I>Burkholderia</I> symbiont but not the cultured <I>Burkholderia</I> and other bacteria. The antimicrobial activity of the M4B region was detected in symbiotic host insects, reaching its highest point at the fifth instar, but not in aposymbiotic host insects, which suggests the possibility of symbiont-mediated induction of the antimicrobial activity. This antimicrobial activity was not associated with upregulation of antimicrobial peptides of the host. Based on these results, we propose that the M4B region is a specialized gut region of <I>R. pedestris</I> that plays a critical role in controlling the population of the <I>Burkholderia</I> gut symbiont. The molecular basis of the antimicrobial activity is of great interest and deserves future study.</P>

Device discovery for D2D (device-to-device) communication enables a device to discover other devices in order to initiate communication with them. Devices should perform the discovery phase using a small quantity of radio resource in a short time and be able to reduce the load of the base station. Legacy device discovery schemes have focused on discovering as many target devices as possible. However, it is not appropriate for peer-to-peer D2D communication scenario. Further, synchronization problems are an important issue for discovery signal transmission. This paper proposes a discovery method that one requesting device discovers a specific target for communication. Multiple antenna beamforming is employed for the synchronization between the base station and a target device. The proposal can reduce the load of the base station using the information that it already maintains and improve the reliability of the device discovery because two times of synchronizations using beamforming among the base station and devices can make the exact discovery of a target device with mobility possible.
