This paper concerns the study of the discret approximation for the following semilinear heat equation with a singular boundary outflux $$\\ \left\{% \begin{array}{ll} \hbox{$\dfrac{\partial u}{\partial t}=u_{xx} + (1-u)^{-p}, \quad 0<x<1,\; t>0$,} \\ \hbox{$u_{x}(0,t)= 0, \quad u_{x}(1,t)=-u(1,t)^{-q},\quad t>0$,} \\ \hbox{$u(x,0)=u_{0}(x),\quad 0\leq x \leq 1$,} \\ \end{array}% \right.$$ where $ p>0, $ $ q > 0. $ We find some conditions under which the solution of a discrete form of above problem quenches in a finite time and estimate its discrete quenching time. We also establish the convergence of the discrete quenching time to the theoretical one when the mesh size tends to zero. Finally, we give some numerical experiments for a best illustration of our analysis.

We find some conditions under which the solution of a discrete form of above problem quenches in a finite time and estimate its discrete quenching time. This study identified biogenic amines, fatty acids, and volatile compounds in adjuevan, an Ivorian traditionally salted and fermented fish. Samples were obtained from two processing methods (method 1: entire fish adjuevan; method 2: both sides filleted adjuevan) with the fish species Galeoides decadactylus. Biogenic amines found in freshly produced adjuevan were histamine, putrescine, cadaverine, tyramine, β-phenyl ethylamine, and spermidine. Among these, the most prevalent were β-phenyl ethylamine and cadaverine. Biogenic amine contents varied according to the processing method but remained lower than levels considered hazardous for human health. The major fatty acids present in adjuevan from method 1 were docosahexaenoic acid, palmitic acid, and oleic acid. In adjuevan from method 2, the major fatty acids were oleic acid, stearic acid, and palmitic acid. The omega (ω)-3/ω-6 ratio was 8.87 and 4.12 for adjuevan from methods 1 and 2, respectively. Most of the fatty acids are considered healthy fats, making adjuevan a useful food for treating and preventing lifestyle diseases. The volatile compounds found composed of 19 aldehydes, 12 alcohols, 7 esters, 7 ketones, 3 furans, 10 aromatic compounds, and 7 acids with aldehyde, alcohol, and ester compounds as the predominant groups. Among the aldehydes, 2,4-heptadienal (E,Z), octanal, and 2-octenal (E) were most prevalent in adjuevan from method 1, whereas 2-nonenal (E), 2,4-heptadienal (E,Z), and octanal were most prevalent in adjuevan from method 2.

In most African urban areas, Particulate Matters (PM) concentration exceeds by far the WHO limits. In these areas, plants can play a key role in removing particles. In this study, we evaluated three ornamental species (Jatropha interrigima, Ficus benjamina, Barleria prionitis) used in Abidjan Ivory Coast). Leaf-encapsulated saturation isothermal remnant magnetisation (SIRM) were measured and the relationship between PM captured and leaf wettability were done. The sampling were performed at roadsides and Parks. Firstly, Leaf-encapsulated and total leaf SIRM were quantified and the wettability was determined by drop contact angles (DCA). Secondly, the relationship between leaf SIRM and wettability was found. Results showed that leaf SIRM was two to ten times higher at roadsides than in Parks. Total leaf SIRM was also higher on mature leaves in Main roads suggesting a particle accumulation in leaves over time especially in waxy species (Ficus benjamina). This species encapsulated other than 20% of total leaf SIRM. All tested species were highly-wettable (40° < DCA < 90°). Thus, Jatropha interrigima with its leaf trichomes and F. benjamina with its leaf waxes were more wettable. A significantly positive correlation was found between wettability intensity and leaf SIRM.
