        Given the flexibility and popularity of factor analytic techniques, it is important for researchers to be knowledgeable about factor analysis, because the complexity and the flexibility of factor analytic procedures have created considerable ambiguity about appropriate research practices. For this reason, the use of factor analysis has often been criticized. In this research, we provide a conceptual explanation and guidelines for using factor analysis.

        A Study on Factor Analytical Methods and Procedures for PLS-SEM (Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling)

        Purpose - This study provides appropriate procedures for EFA to help researchers conduct empirical studies by using PLS-SEM. Research design, data, and methodology - This study addresses the absolute and relative sample size criteria, sampling adequacy, factor extraction models, factor rotation methods, the criterion for the number of factors to retain, interpretation of results, and reporting information. Results - The factor analysis procedure for PLS-SEM consists of the following five stages. First, it is important to look at whether both the Bartlett test of sphericity and the KMO MSA meet the qualitative criteria. Second, PAF is a better choice of methodology. Third, an oblique technique is a suitable method for PLS-SEM. Fourth, a combined approach is strongly recommended to factor retention. PA should be used at the onset. Next, it is recommended using the K1 criterion. In addition, it is necessary to extract factors that increase the total variance explanatory power through the PVA-FS. Finally, it is appropriate to select an item with a factor loading into 0.5 or higher and a communality of 0.5. Conclusions - It is expected that the accurate factor analysis processed for PLS-SEM as previously presented will help us extract more precise factors of the structural model.

        The Relationships between Product Quality Cues and Perceived Values based on Gender Differences at a Food Select Shop

        Purpose: The ultimate purpose of this work is to investigate gender differences in the relationships between product quality cues and perceived values at a food select shop. Specifically, this study examines the effects of internal and external cues, which are indicators of product quality, on emotional and social values based on gender differences. Research design, data and methodology: In this study, a questionnaire technique was used to collect the data necessary to test the proposed model. 183 data were collected through this technique. PLS SEM (Partial Least Squares Structured Equation Model) was used to test the research model. Results: First, there is no gender difference between intrinsic cue and emotional value. When using male and female data, there was no significant causal relationship between intrinsic cues and emotional values. Second, we found no gender difference between intrinsic cue and social value. When analyzed with female data, there was no significant causal relationship between intrinsic cue and social value. On the other hand, in the case of men, it was found that a weak causal relationship exists. Third, this study found gender difference between extrinsic cue and emotional value. In the case of men, it was found that a weak causal relationship exists, whereas in the case of women, a strong causal relationship exists between extrinsic cue and emotional value. Fourth, we found gender difference between extrinsic cue and social value. In the case of men, there was no causal relationship, whereas in the case of women, there was a strong causal relationship between extrinsic cue and social value. Finally, we found that there are moderating roles of gender in the relationship between external cues and perceived quality. Conclusions: As a result of analysis, it is necessary to focus on extrinsic clues of product in order to increase the perceived emotional and social values of women. On the other hand, in order to improve the perceived emotional and social values of men, it is necessary to pay attention to both intrinsic and extrinsic cues of product. Therefore, it is necessary to consider what clues and values are important to core customers.

      • The Study on the Relationship between Mobile Technostress and Performance: Focused on The Role of Coping Strategies

        The aim of this study is to suggest and test the proposed model that is based on the stress process as well as the cognitive theory of psychological stress and coping. Proposed model drawing from these two perspectives is partitioned into three components: stressors(stress creator), coping strategies, and strain. All components are applied to mobile stressful situations based on theoretical and empirical backgrounds. There is no clear consensus regarding which role of coping strategy is most effective for maintaining positive outcomes. Despite some recent theoretical work in the realm of technostress, there is little empirical evidence identifying the role of coping strategies for reducing tehnostressors. So, we must know how to cope with stress in a healthy manner to increase and maintain organizational performance. Thus, it is important to investigate the role of coping strategies at this point. To do this, the research can suggest the appropriate role of coping strategies for each stressor in mobile work situations.

        조직 구성원들의 정보보안 정책 준수에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구

        Ihe ultimate purpose ot this study is to investigate the way how to leat Lu comply with information security policy of employees in financial organizations. To do this. this research reviewed previous literature and suggested research model. To test the research model, data collected from various financial firms using survey questionnaires. The results show that effectiveness of information security policy and managerial attention to information security have a positive effect on the information security policy compliance. Information security reinforcement of management has, on the other hand, a negative effect on the information security policy compliance. Secondly, security awareness training program has a negative effect on the information security compliance costs. 1-lowever, information security reinforcement of manage-ment positively influences the information security compliance costs. The conclusions and implications are discussed.

        모바일 메신저 사용자의 관계 단절 의도에 관한 연구

        대부분의 소셜 미디어가 친구 차단 기능을 제공하더라도 사용자의 차단 행동을 설명할 수 있는 견고한 연구나 개념적 프레임워크는 여전히 부재하다. 본 연구는 모바일 메신저 사용자들이 친구 차단/삭제를 사용하는 이유를 탐색하고자 한다. 이를 통해 기존에 설명되지 못했던 소셜 미디어 환경에서 관계 단절 행동을 하는 이유를 설명하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 제안된 모델을 검증하기 위해 차세대 분산 기반 SEM 기법 중 하나인 GSCA-SEM(Generalized Structured Component Analysis Structure Equation Modeling)을 사용했다. 가설 검정 결과, 예측 변수 중 관계 강화, 심리 이완, 프라이버시 우려가 관계 단절 의도에 유의미한 정의영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 온라인과 오프라인 모두에서 사회적 기술 부족은 관계 단절 의도에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 프라이버시 우려는 모바일 사용자가 관계 단절을 사용하는 첫 번째 이유이다. 다음으로 대인 관계 강화가 관계 단절을 사용하는 두 번째 이유이다. 관계 단절을 사용하는 마지막 이유는 심리적 이완이다. 따라서 모바일 사용자는 프라이버시 침해 우려에 관해 관심이 높기 때문에 메신저 업체는 다수의 고객이 바라는 프라이버시 보호를 강화할 수 있는 추가적인 기능을 제공할 필요가 있다. 또한, 모바일 메신저를 통해 온라인 관계를 확장하는 것에서 한 단계 더 나아가 관계의 질을 향상할 수 있는 모바일 환경을 조성하는 것이 중요하다. Research Purpose: Even though most social media provide friend blocking, there is still a lack of well-crafted study or conceptual piece that can explain users blocking behavior. The purpose of this study is to explore the reasons why mobile messenger users use the blocking/unfriending. To do this, this work opens avenues for research on relationship termination on social media for shedding some light on this underexplored area. Research Methods: In this study, generalized structured component analysis structural equation modeling (GSCA-SEM), one of the variance-based SEM techniques, is used to test the proposed model. Results in Research: This study found that relationship strengthening, relaxation, and privacy concerns are found to have a significant positive impact on the intention to relationship termination. On the other hand, lack of social skills (offline and online) does not have a significant influence on intention to relationship termination in online. Research Conclusion: Privacy concerns are the main reason mobile users use relationship blocking. Next, strengthening interpersonal relationships is the second reason to use the relationship blocking. The final reason to use the relationship blocking is psychological relaxation. Therefore, as mobile users have high interest in privacy concerns, there is a need to provide additional functions to strengthen privacy protection on messengers. In addition, it is the most important to go one step further than expanding online relationships and create a mobile environment that can improve the quality of relationships.

        온라인 서비스 기업에서 개인정보 유출 후 인터넷 사용자의 가입지속의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 탐색적 연구

        The paper has presented an exploratory research on the factors influencing the website retention after personal data spill. According to the previous studies, internet users can choose defection or removal strategies when they perceive high levels of threats to information privacy. However, online users may be willing to share their personal information for obtaining benefits such as monetary benefits and intangible benefits from social exchanges when information privacy of many internet users seems to have been seriously threatened. The objective of this study is to solve the paradox. Research results suggest that costs of defection, privacy safety, website quality, website awareness, perceived vulnerability, and integrity of information is provided by internet users influence intention of individuals to maintain relationship with online firms after personal data spill. Overall, this paper contributes to theory-building efforts of academics in the area of information privacy by breaking new ground for the study of individuals` responses to information privacy threats. Conclusions and implications are discussed.
