      • 토륨 핵연료주기를 이용한 열중성자로심의 핵전환 특성 연구

        An optimization of conceptual nuclear design was done for a high converting pressure-tube type light water cooled reactor(HCPLWR) applied with an once-through thorium cycle. Fuel rod bundles are configured in hexagonal lattice array in a similar size of those of CANDU, fuel pin size is the same with conventional PWR rods. Driver fuel bundles and blanket fuel bundles are loaded in separate channels which have different reloading cycle duration and different thermal-hydraulic conditions. Two optimized designs was found to be better than conventional reactors in both conversion ratio and fuel cycle economics. In the aspect of safety, fuel temperature coefficient and moderator coefficient were negative, and light water injection into calandria tank worked as an additional shutdown device.

      • 일부 중소병원 조직구성원의 갈등이 직무만족과 조직몰입에 미치는 영향

        Objectives and Method : This study was conducted to identify the influences of conflict among hospital employees on job satisfaction and organizational commitment measured as the result variables of organizational conflict. The data for this study were collected from 305 employees who were employed as a physician, a nurse, an administrative personnel or other hcalthcare professional in 4 medium-sized general hopitals in 2 middle sized cities including Yeosu and Soonchcon. The survey instrument used in this study was a structured questionnaire developed from modifying those of some previous studies, for example, Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire for a measure of job satisfaction. Results : 1. The groups experienced relatively high degree of overall intra- organizational conflict were the female, the younger, the non-married or the divorced married, and the college-graduated. And according to the job-related variables, these groups were the lower-salaried employees with a lower job status, 3 or 5 years on their duties, especially the nurses. 2. The degree of conflict experienced by the hospital employees was highest in the intra-organizational conflict due to the factors such as a gap of goals, communication problems and were relatively lower in the conflict due to the factors such as a collective coherence, an interdependence, a leadership problem. And the degree of conflict due to the horizontal relationship with their colleagues was higher than that of vertical relationship with their bosses or subordinates. 3. Comparcd with the degree of conflict according to the general characteristics of our study subjects, the degree of job satisfaction and organizational commitment of them were reverse in that the male, the elderly, the married, the eradnated of praduate school, the physicians, and higher-salaried employees with a higher job status, 6 vears or more on their duties perceived the highest degree of the job satisfaction and the organizational commitment. As a result of correlation analysis, all values of correlation coefficients between the degree of intra-organizational conflict and the degree of the job satisfaction, the organizational commitment were negative. 4. As a result of a multiple regression analysis inputting the variables such as variable general characteristics and job-related variables as the putative confounders, the conflict scores due to the factors such as the communication problems, leadership problems, individual personality were the significant independent variables having negative influence on the overall, intrinsic, and extrinsic components of job satisfaction. 5. As a result of a multiple regression analysis inputting- the variables such as general characteristics and job-related variables as the putative confounders, the conflict scores due to the factors such as an interdependence, leadership problems, and an individual personality were the significant independent variables having negative influence on the score of organizational commitment. And as a result of a multiple regression analysis inputting scores of conflict factors, scores of conflict types, intrinsic and extrinsic components of job satisfaction, and above putative confounders altogether as independent variables, the significant independents having influence on the score of organizational commitment were conflict scores due to the interdependence (β=-0.379; p=0.026), the individual personality (β=-0.716: p=0.000), conflict score from vertical interpersonal relationships (β=-0.555; p=0.019), intrinsic (β=0.097; p=0.000) and extrinsic (β=0.076: p=0.049) components of job satisfaction. Conclusion : Our research had some limitations, which, for example, were an omitting some job related putative confounders such as a daily work loading measured by an individual. But the fact that all the regression models showed hig'h explanatory power suggested the bias due to this problem might be little. And we hope to be conducted more advanced researches with robust theoretical background and precise analytic tools, in this research area.

        A 5 year old, 13kg, Jindo dogs was presented with clinical signs of anorexia, weakness and exercise intolerance, and diagnosed as dirofilariasis by hematology, blood chemistry and ultrasonography. In hematology and blood chemistry, the presence of microfilariae in the blood. anemia, leukocytosis, hemoglobinuria and jaundice were revealed. In ultrasonography, heartworms were found in the right ventricle artery and pulmonary artery as structures of hyperechoic dots or streaks. Because of the dog's poor physical status, the owner requested euthanasia. In autopsy, fifty odd of heartworms were ascertained in the right ventricle and pulmonary artery. Tricuspid valve in the orifice of right ventricle and right atrium, and chordae tendineae were deliquesced.

        오피스건물 성능평가지표 개발 및 그 인증 방안에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study is (1) to present the performance evaluation model of office buildings and (2) to use this model as a measurement tool upon the introduction of the certification system. The evaluation models currently in use do not cover all areas required for the full evaluation of an office building, all concentrating only on a specialized area of their own. In this paper, the categories for performance evaluation were chosen based on a survey by field specialists and building users and also data from many prior researches. An objective and synthetic standard for office building's performance was made by giving a weighting to each selected category based on the results from the survey. The evaluation fields can be divided into two main parts - the internal performance of the building and performance affected by external changes. This performance evaluation model is expected to become the basis of the introduction of the office building certification system. The introduction of the certification system will provide a credible standard for people to evaluate buildings, and that is expected to lead to the activation of the building market. This is the major reason the office building certification system needs to be introduced and established.

        The development of estuary water quality modeling requires water quality characteristics and dispersion coefficient. This study was conducted to provide basic datas for Suyeong Estuary water quality modeling. The mean value of water quality were follows ; BOD 32㎎/ℓ, TSS 24㎎/ℓ, TIN 18㎎/ℓ, ?? 1㎎/ℓ, The pollutants loading were BOD 66 ton/d, TSS 46 ton/d respectively. The range and mean values of longitudinal dispersion coefficient were 55∼475㎡/sec, 180㎡/sec.

        This research were focused on the methods of the pretreatment of chemicals in the study of gravitropic response. The filter paper method which was wrapped the whole roots showed the similar response to the control. According to the methods, we examined the effect of 10(-6) MIAA. The treatment of IAA inhibited the gravitropic response in all the type of pretreatment. Specially, the filter paper method showed the significant effect in the primary roots of maize.

      • 도암호의 수질과 어류군집 특성 연구

        To investigate nutrient dynamics of the lake and fish community, both water and fish samples were collected at three different areas (dam site, upper inflowing and downstream of lake outfow) for one year from Sep.2004 to Aug.2005 During the experimental periods, mean concentration of chl, a in epilimnetic layer (0-5m) was 18.5mg^(-3) and transparency ranged from 0.3m to 2.4m, respectively. In nutrient, mean concentrations of TP and TN were 111 mgP m^(-3) and 4.4 mgN L^(-1), respectively. Based on the water quality standard suggested by U.S.EPA(*1976), the trophic state of Lake Doam was classified as eutrophic state. Total number of fish collected in Lake Doam was 9,600 indiveduals in 26 species of 6 family. Sixteen of Korean endemic soecies including H. mylodon, A. signifer, P. tenuicorpa occurred. O. mykiss as introduced fish was also found in Lake Doam. Dominant and subdominant species were P. herzi and Z. platypus that took about 34.6% and 22.5% of total fish composition, respectively. Six species including A. signifer. P. tenuicorpa. and R. kumgangensis were rare in Lake Doam. Pelagic typw of figh commonly occurred at upper regions, whereas benthic type was mainly domenated at downstream area. Therefore, pollution source inflowed from the upper regions did not seriously affect downstream area (Songcheon water system) due to the role of dam as pollutant barrier. In addition high appearance of Comat type of fish that si hybrid between gold fish (C.auratus) and C. auratus was found in the lake, It was unclear the reasons that high prorortion of mutant species apperared in the lake. Further more researches are required in this area.

        프로토 타입 조직등가비례계수기의 중입자가속기연구소의 135 MeV/u 탄소 이온에 대한 선형에너지 스펙트럼 측정

        TEPC (Tissue Equivalent Proportional Counter) was usually used for high LET radiation dosimetry. We developed a prototype TEPC for micro-dosimetry in the range of 0.2~300 keV/μm. And, the simulated site diameter of the TEPC is 2 μm, of similar size to a cell nucleus. For purposes of characterization the response for high LET radiation of the TEPC has been investigated under 135MeV/u Carbon ions in HIMAC (Heavy Ion Medical Accelerator). We determined the gas multiplication factor and measured the lineal energy spectrum [yd(y)] of 135 MeV/u Carbon ions. The value of the gas multiplication factor was 315 at 700 V bias voltage. As a result of the experiment, we could more understand the performance of the TEPC for high LET (Linear Energy Transfer) radiation. And the procedure of high LET radiation dosimetry using TEPC is established.
