Research of Resource Scheduling Strategy in Cloud Computing

To solve the cloud computing resource scheduling problem in IaaS platform, a scheduling model based on ant colony algorithm was proposed. In this model, pheromone changes dynamically according to the best route searched by ants. This model automatically updates pheromones and guides ants to search the global best route. Experiment results show that the proposed model is of better ability in energy consumption in the IaaS cloud computing platform.
The Simulation Study of the Plasmonic Coupling Effect for the Ag Nanoparticle-nanowire Structure

This paper presents a simulation study of the photon-to-plasmon coupling effect for the silver (Ag)nanoparticle-nanowire structure. The calculated results show that the in-coupling light efficiencydepends on many factors, involving the gap between the nanoparticle and the nanowire, the sizeof the nanoparticle, the wavelength of the incident light and the dielectric environment. Undercertain conditions, the in-coupling light efficiency of such a structure can be increased as comparedwith that of a single nanowire, suggesting that this nanoparticle-nanowire system can be used asan interesting structure for subwavelength waveguides, optical sensors and many other applicationsin the field of nanophotonics technology.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>An integrated, multi-physics, dynamic predictive tool to quantify tritium retention, removal, and permeation for HCCR Test Blanket System (TBS) is presented in this paper. The tool expands from detailed COMSOL component models developed previously at UCLA, into an integrated, system-level blanket model using MATLAB/Simulink. It aims at achieving self-consistent predictions in particular concerning dynamic tritium concentration built-up in the He coolant. The integration is achieved by implementing COMSOL component models in the discrete section of Simulink S-Functions. The model replicates HCCR TBS process flow diagram and preserves main tritium flow characteristics for both helium cooling and tritium extraction systems. Current results demonstrate importance of detailed component models as well as dynamic simulation for improved accuracy on answers to questions related to safety/licensing and designs.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> A dynamic tritium transport modeling is developed by constructing COMSOL models in Simulink environment to achieve system-level integration. </LI> <LI> Time and spatial dependent temperatures performed for the detailed component model to study tritium transport behavior including permeation. </LI> <LI> Isotope effect due to the addition of H<SUB>2</SUB> in the purge gas has been taken into account in the estimation of tritium permeation. </LI> <LI> Ion implantation to the FW was simulated in calculating accumulated tritium partial pressure built-up in the He coolant. </LI> </UL> </P>
Event-triggered H∞ Control for Switched Systems Under Multiple Attacks

This article investigates the event-triggered H∞ control for networked switched systems under multiple attacks and transmission delay. A novel model of multiple attacks is constructed by considering stochastic false data injection attack and periodic denial-of-service (DoS) attack. The event-triggered strategy is proposed by using the mode information of switched system and periodicity of DoS attack. Then, sufficient conditions are obtained to ensure mean-square exponential stability and H∞ performance of the closed-loop switched system. Furthermore, the controller gains and event-triggered parameters of subsystems are derived. Finally, a numerical example is given to verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the results.

Background: Although roles of genetic polymorphisms of leptin receptor (LEPR) gene in several cancers have been documented, the association between polymorphisms of LEPR and clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CC-RCC) remains unknown. The aim of this study was to explore any relation. Materials and Methods: The study population consisted of 77 patients with CC-RCC and 161 healthy control subjects. Polymorphism analyses of Lys109Arg and Gln223Arg were performed by direct DNA sequencing and PCR-restriction fragment length polymorphism approaches respectively. Results: Comparisons of allelic and genotypic frequencies in Lys109Arg and Gln223Arg showed no significant difference between the cases and controls. However, when evaluating the combined genotype of Lys109Arg and Gln223Arg, risk with GG/GG was increased (OR=1.85, 95%CI=1.04-3.30) and with GA/GG or GG/GA was decreased (OR=0.07, 95%CI=0.01-0.54; OR and 95%CI of the latter could not be calculated for a value of zero). Furthermore, the G-G haplotype frequency of Lys109Arg and Gln223Arg in the cases was higher (OR=1.68; 95%CI=1.02-2.76). In contrast, the A-G and G-A haplotype frequencies in the cases were lower than those in the controls (OR=0.06; 95%CI=0.01 to 0.47; OR and 95%CI of the latter could not be calculated for a value of zero). In addition, the Lys109Arg A allele was in LD with the Gln223Arg A allele (d'=0.9399) in the CC-RCC subjects, but not in the controls. Conclusions: Our data suggest that the GG/GG combined genotype and G-G haplotype of Lys109Arg and Gln223Arg can act as evaluating factors for CC-RCC risk.
Dynamic Spectrum Access with Spatial Reuse

We investigate the problem of achieving utility function optimization for distributed channel selection using game theoretic solutions in opportunistic spectrum access system, where secondary users are spatially located and mutual interference only emerges between neighboring users. In addition, interference graph of spatial position is introduced to measure interference and evaluate the possible opportunities of spectrum access. Based on this we propose an optimization problem of minimizing loss throughput, which is solved by a game theory and an optimal channel selection set is derived. The main work of this paper is to prove that this game is an exact potential game, which has at least one pure strategy Nash equilibrium. Finally simulation results is given to verify the correctness of the theoretical analysis. Especially meanwhile after considering spatial reuse by users’ position, the system throughput is significantly increased, thus the spectrum utilization rate is effectively improved.

Normally, silkworms, Bombyx mori, generate offspring by sexual activity. As we known, the hybrids of the first generation of the silkworm have higher cocoon production than pure lines. During the sericulture production, many processes are related with sex control. For example, sex sorting in the egg grainages, rearing of only male silkworm to save the mulberry leaf consumption and increase silk output and quality. Therefore it is very interested in understanding the sex control of the silkworm in theory and practice. Chinese sericultural scientists have been being engaged in the researches in the fields of artificifial parthogenesis, dispermic androgenesis, sex-limited varieties, sex linkage balanced lethal strain and high temperature sensitive male stocks for several decades and gained substantial achievement. Some of the achievements have been used in the commercial production. In this review, the authors introduced that the methods for control of the silkworm sex, and regulate the silkworm sex ratio according to different producing aim in the world and especially in China.
