최근 LCD 모니터, Note PC, 가정용 게임기, Mobile Phone, MP3 등의 소형 전자 제품의 사용이 증가함에 따라 이들 전자제품의 전원 공급에 필요한 다양한 AC/DC 어댑터가 요구된다. AC/DC 어댑터는 밀폐형의 구조를 가지므로, 열적인 문제 때문에 용량과 사이즈가 제한되어 왔다. 하지만 최근에는 소형전자제품의 용량이 점차 증가하고, 더불어 소비자의 휴대성 및 심미적 요구에 부응하기 위하여 소형 및 경량의 고밀도 AC/DC Adapter를 개발하여야 한다. 이를 위해서 높은 수준의 회로 설계 및 방열 기술이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 Laptop PC에 적용되는 85W급 AC/DC Adapter용 고밀도전원을 개발하고 실험으로 검증하였다.

<P>The leak-before-break (LBB) concept was usually applied to design and estimate the piping system in nuclear power plant, which is based on the fracture resistance (J-R) curves of nuclear real pipe. However, the real pipe test is costly and difficult. Instead of the real pipe test, the J-R curves of standard specimens suggested in the ASTM El 820 were used. Nonetheless, the J-R curves obtained from the standard specimens are too conservative, owing to the differences in specimen geometries and loading configurations (constraint effect). Thus, in this study the equivalent stress gradient (curved ESG) specimens were developed to evaluate the J-R curves of nuclear real pipes (SA-312 TP304L) precisely. The curved ESG specimens were designed to show the same crack-opening stress gradients as those of the real pipes at the driving force J = J(Ic). The J(Ic) for stainless steel SA-312 TP304L was obtained by the J-R tests on standard compact tension (CT) specimens. Comparison of the J-R curves obtained from the curved ESG specimens and those obtained from the real pipes show that the curved ESG specimen can be used in the LBB concept to design and estimate the piping systems. In this paper, the master system of Wide Area Monitoring System in order to prevent reaching a fault influence toward power system is proposed. This system has three real time algorithms and a on-line one using i-piu transfer data and provides operators with various understandable monitoring viewers in HMI based on raw data and algorithm results.
Efficient xeno-free culture system for human embryonic stem cells

The development of humanized culture system of human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) hold promise for therapeutic applications. However, conventional culture system contain animal-derived components such as fetal bovine serum and mouse embryonic fibroblasts that bear a risk of transmitting non-human pathogens and incorporation of non-human immunogenic molecules to hESCs. In this study, we developed an efficient xeno-free hESCs culture system using humanized materials, the CELLstartTM, human foreskin feeder and xeno-free medium containing knockOutTM SR XenoFree (XF-medium) without animal-derived material. The hESCs were gradually adapted to the XF-medium; 25:75, 50:50, 75:25 and 100:0. Two karyotypically normal hESC lines, SNUhES4 and H1, were used for the experiments of xeno-free culture condition. The attachment rates at xeno-free culture system were 52.6±12.4%, 67.0±16.6%, 59.0±13.9%, 28.3±2.9% in SNUhES4, 79.3±5.4%, 53.8±20.9%, 69.4 ±6.4%, 59.8±12.6% in H1 and the spontaneous differentiation rates were 42.2±12.7%, 31.4±2.9%, 40.8±14.5%, 55.2±35.5% in SNUhES4, 35.6±8.5%, 36.4±13.5%, 48.4±7.8%, 80.1±6.0% in H1 in the first four passage. Although the attachment rates were low and the spontaneous differentiation rates were high compared to that of conventional system in the early passages using this humanized culture condition, hESCs in this culture condition were found to maintain hESC characterizations; morphology, expression of cell surface markers and stable karyotype. Our results indicate that simplified compositions of humanized culture system can be applicable to the further optimization for a xeno-free culture of hESCs without the loss of pluripotency and contamination from xenogenic sources.
